My little sister is watching good luck charlie in its entirety, and me and my other sister have come to the conclusion that PJ was the best character all along, actually. He was kind of a himbo, but he took responsibility when he needed to, and didn't fuck everything up? Usually Gabe did that?

I mean, Gabe was like "You're older and cool and moved out...can I stay with you this weekend?" PJ agreed, but then he couldn't be the fun big brother he used to be bc he had responsibilities to uphold. Like, he always gets flak for being "the dumb one", but he's not helpless, and I respect that. He can take care of himself and everything, and then, even when he agreed to be "fun" again, he only caused trouble at their own house, and not somewhere they could get into serious trouble.

I needed more subplots with PJ and Charlie, tbh. He put SO much effort into giving her a good birthday in the episode where Toby is born and I!!

also I recently found out my name was misspelled on my birth certificate and went "at least it's not Potty John bad..."

And can you have it where this hurts PJ so much because y/n is the only person in his life that hasn't made him feel stupid before? And also can u have them make-up at the end? Thanks!"

When PJ invited you over to his house he had a different idea about how you would pass the time. Babysitting Charlie was not one of them. But his mother needed a babysitter and Teddy had plans of her own. And although he loved his little sister dearly, she had stolen all your attention the second you saw her in his arms. You weren't upset that your date had been put on hold as you still got to spend time with PJ. And seeing him with his little sister was a heart-warming sight.

You had decided to go to the park for a short while and given the hot weather you thought ice cream would be a delightful treat. PJ was sitting with Charlie who was in her stroller while you approached the truck and when you returned you sat on the bench beside him, handing him an ice cream.

You leaned over to see Charlie better and your eyes widened when you saw a different child, and realized that the baby bag was different as well while the stroller was the same.

"Oh my god." You gasped.

"What is it?" He looked at the stroller as you lifted the shade to reveal the boy who looked to be around Charlie's age.

"What happened?"

PJ thought for a moment. "I looked away for like a second -"

You shook your head, standing up and looking around for Charlie's baby bag that was hanging on her stroller. "I don't see the stroller."

"It looked identical." PJ said in his defense.

The words left your mouth before you could even comprehend you said them, stunning PJ whose face fell as you stormed off. "How could you have been so stupid?"

It was the first time you had ever called him stupid. You were the first to argue that he was the opposite. In your state of worry and panic, the word had slipped out before you realized it was on the tip of your tongue. If you weren't so concerned about finding Charlie, he was sure you wouldn't have said it. But it still hurt.

PJ pushed the stroller as he searched for his sister, meeting up with you a little over an hour later and both of you were no closer to finding Charlie than you were before. You returned to the Duncan house to regroup and think of a new plan.

You looked over at PJ who was sitting back, trying to think of a plan and a frown formed on your lips as you could see how worried he was about his sister. "I'm sorry."

PJ looked at you, eyebrows furrowing for a moment before he said, "Why? You're right."

"You know I don't think that and neither should you." You moved closer to him, placing a hand on his arm. "Today hasn't really gone to plan, has it?"

A smile formed on his lips, "You can say that again."

You returned his smile, "I guess there's nothing left to do now but call Amy."

"Or Teddy."

"Teddy's better." You agreed, nodding. You reached into your pocket to take out your cell phone to call Teddy for help only to realize it wasn't there.

"Oh," You jumped up from the sofa, startling PJ who was confused. "My phone is missing. Kind of."

"You left it in the bag!" He grinned, catching on.

"Call it." You gestured wildly and PJ quickly took out his cell phone, calling your number which was number one on speed dial.

You clasped your hands together, resting them against your lips as he spoke to the worried mother who was relived by his call and agreed to meet him at the house with Charlie.

"She'll be here in twenty minutes." He grinned as he ended the call, and you squealed, hugging him tightly. PJ chuckled, wrapping his arms around you, kissing your head.

You spent the next twenty minutes anxiously waiting for the mother of the boy you had learned was called Daniel and when you saw Charlie, you finally felt able to breath again.

"Thank you." You said to the mother who was relieved to see her son again. "I'm sorry about the mix-up."

You closed the door and turned to PJ, a smile growing on your lips at the sight of him kissing her head, holding her close. You walked over to the siblings, resting a hand on PJ's back as you sent the young girl a smile.

"Now, Charlie, today stays just between us, okay? Mom doesn't need to know about it."

"Okay." She agreed.

You giggled softly, resting your head on his shoulder, turning to the door when it opened. Teddy entered and she relieved you both of covering her babysitting duties, and as she walked into the kitchen, you moved to sit on the sofa. PJ sat on the arm of the sofa, crossing his arms as he looked over at you.

"You know...it could have gone worse." You said, turning your head to look at your boyfriend who scoffed, a smile on his lips.

"We could go upstairs now that Teddy is here." He suggested.

"To sleep, right?" You sent him a soft smile.

"Oh, yeah." He sighed as he stood up and you giggled as you took the hand he held out to you and PJ wrapped his arm around your shoulders as you headed upstairs to his bedroom.

The stress of the day weighing heavily on you both lifted and as you lay on the bed, his arms around you as he placed kisses on your head now and then, all that was left was exhaustion.

"You know I don't think you're stupid, right?" You whispered, tilting your head up to meet his gaze. PJ sent you a smile, nodding his head.

"Yeah, I know." He assured you, his eyes softening when you yawned. You tucked your head underneath his chin, resting your head on his chest.

"Promise me we'll be better when it's our own kids?"

"God, I hope so."

Laughter left your lips and you felt his chest rumbling with his own laughter. You looked up at him with a smile, "I love you."

"I love you too." He placed a hand on your cheek, kissing you tenderly as he rested another hand on your waist, drawing you closer.

"You're not getting kids for a long time, Duncan." You murmured as you pulled away. PJ chuckled, wrapping his arms around you as you got comfortable again.

He rested his cheek against your head, and you smiled softly as his finger played with your hair absentmindedly. Within minutes you were both fast asleep, the events of the day taking their toll and when Amy walked upstairs after hearing from Teddy that she thought you and PJ were upstairs, she was prepared to find you both in a compromising position. But to her surprise, the door was open a little, and as she peeked inside, you were sleeping soundly, PJ looking particularly peaceful as he held you close.

A small smile formed on her lips as she closed the door, deciding to head downstairs and leave you both alone for now.

You were getting a drink from the fridge for PJ and Emmett, who were practicing downstairs, when Amy invited you to the handing over of gifts party they were having for PJ, knowing it would mean a lot to her son to have you over as part of the family and during your eight-month relationship that's what you became. A Duncan without the ring or the surname.

When the doorbell rang, PJ had just been ushered to sit on the sofa and asked who was at the door. Teddy sent her brother a smile as she walked to the door, "Surprise, number one." She opened the door, and a smile formed on his lips immediately when he saw you enter, a bag in your hand and sombrero on your head.

"Happy birthday, Peanut and Jelly!" You grinned, eliciting laughter from PJ and a groan from Gabe. You looked at the younger boy as the others groaned. You had been searching for the perfect nickname for PJ for over a week, and each time it was met with skepticism. "What? It's cute!"

"No, you are cute." PJ corrected as you approached him.

"The pet name was weak," Gabe added.

You took off the sombrero and placed it on his head. "This is your crown. Happy birthday." You smiled down at PJ, kissing his cheek as you sat beside him.

"Thank you."

You handed him your gift, and PJ opened the bag, finding engraved guitar picks inside. "No way!" He admired the guitar picks for a moment before meeting your gaze. "I love them." He kissed you quickly. "Thank you."

"You're welcome. They go with the gu-"

Realizing you were about to expose his present, Gabe shouted, "Your next gift."

He swiped his hand across his neck when you sent him a confused glance, and you understood that he didn't want PJ to know he had bought him a new guitar.

Teddy reached behind the armchair, handing PJ a guitar with a bow on it. "Happy birthday."

"A guitar?"

You smiled at how his eyes lit up, and he looked around the room for a moment. "Thank you."

"There is one more thing we got you." Bob began, handing PJ an envelope. "Went down to the courthouse this morning. Finally got your birth certificate fixed."

PJ opened the envelope, revealing the amended birth certificate.

"You are now officially PJ Duncan."

PJ read over the certificate before looking at his father. "Dad, did you double-check this?"

"No. Why? How could anybody possibly mess up PJ?" Bob replied.

"Don't ask me. According to this, my name is PP Duncan."

Laughter came from his siblings, and you covered your mouth to quieten your giggles. PJ looked over at you when you rested your head on his shoulder, a smile forming on his lips when he heard your giggles as his father vented about the mix-up.

"Well..." Amy began. "Looks like that's all the presents, PP. Happy birthday."

An hour later, PJ had parked outside your house and walked you onto the porch, preparing to say goodbye. You smiled softly as he thanked you for coming over. You wrapped your arms around his neck, kissing him tenderly as his hands went to your waist, bringing you closer.

You pulled away moments later, smiling up at him. "I wouldn't miss it for the world, PP."

PJ maintained a stoic expression while you laughed though a smile inevitably grew on his lips as he wrapped his arms around you. You pressed a kiss to his cheek, resting your head on his shoulder afterward, placing your arms around his waist.

"Happy birthday."

PJ pressed his lips against your head, his smile growing. "Thank you. You know, despite the PP thing, it has been one of the best birthdays I've had." You lifted your head to meet his gaze. "I'm glad you came over. It wouldn't have been the same without you."

You smiled, "I wouldn't have missed it for anything." You kissed him softly.

You parted after a few moments, taking his hand as you stepped away, sending him a smile. "Goodnight, senior PP Duncan."

He chuckled as you walked away. "Night."

You placed a hand on the door handle, watching as he headed from the porch to the truck. "I love you, PP Duncan!" You called out to him.

PJ chuckled, opening the door, "I love you too!" He called back, and you shared a smile before you watched him get in the truck and drive off, heading inside afterward.
