Oh my god I’ve missed you! And everyone for that matter. I just thought what the hell I’ll check my inbox for fun. I finally logged into tumblr after a long time. I’ve definitely changed my pfp from haikyuu to genshin but I don’t recall changing my URL! (I’m not even that obsessed with genshin anymore lol)

It really has been a long two years… I’ll be 23 in less than a month and it’s crazy I started this blog at 19. If you see this my lovely teddy bear anon, I hope you also tell me how you’ve been!

The last two years was a blast, I moved out, worked, paid my own way through college and rent. I graduated, granted it took five years but I did take a bit off from university! And I am more than thankful. I’m still looking for a job, I’ve since moved home but my parents can no longer hold anything against me now. I might switch career paths from what I studied but I’ll stick to what I did for at least 3 years for now. I have a boyfriend of one year (plus two months!) now and he absolutely adores when I gush about my fandoms and theories. Vice versa when he talks about his interests (mainly video games and the best I can explain which is STONKS but like for CSGO [at least currently]). Literally he’s a man written by a woman that came out of my fanfic dreams. Oh and we play games with each other sometimes and watch all the anime xD

During the past two years I was pretty burnt out I had no obsession which made me extra espresso depresso. But I’m on medication and doing a lot better that I’m able to once again be obsessed with a fandom (main: one piece. Secondary: Honkai star rail).

And that’s the tldr! Adulthood sucks but my friends and I still text and catch up when we can. And my boyfriend lives about 30 minutes away which isn’t too bad for me :3 (pre moving back home and even now that I’m back home xD)

I think about fly high baby sometimes… I still have yet to reread it cus DAMN did that hit me in the feels.

I hope you’re doing well too. I hope life is treating you in the way it should! If you see this, pls let me know how you’re doing!!! I really do think about everyone’s whose paths have crossed with mine during this journey.

It was so cliche, straight out of a coming of age movie, honestly. But you wouldn’t have it any other way. Not with the way that Tooru pulled ever so slightly away from you, his lips still hovering over yours and the taste of your bubblegum flavored lip gloss on his lips. 

Tooru didn’t think he liked bubblegum that much. But after that kiss? He's starting to think it’s becoming his favorite flavor, as long as it came from you.

He stared down at you through his long eyelashes, his eyes darted from your lips to your eyes back to your lips. Sliding his hand up your side to the back of your neck, Tooru tilted your head, leaning down to place his lips on yours. His eyes fluttered shut as he felt you kissing back, leaning into him. 

After this, he’d ask you to wear this lip gloss more.

It had been a long while since Tokyo had had this much rain. In fact, there wasn’t even supposed to be any rain today so you didn’t have your umbrella with you. 

Usually by now you’d be at home but you had to stop by the store to pick up puppy food. It was barely drizzling when you arrived at the store but the moment you walked out the doors it was suddenly pouring. So you decided to wait it out, seeing as the store ran out of umbrellas to sell.

That was an hour ago, and it seemed as if the rain wasn’t going to let up. But you’d be pretty mad at yourself if it let up in the five minutes it took for you to get to your stop to your apartment. 

So you continued waiting. 

You weren’t the only one, a man close by was waiting out the rain as well. He wore a face mask and athletic black clothes. His hands were tucked in his pockets and his eyes seemed.... Bored? No, that wasn’t the right word. At first glance, he seemed bored, mad even. But there was a little twinkle in his eye as he watched the rain. 

But maybe you were projecting. You were tired yourself, starting a new job, a new puppy that you adopted for no good reason. But the rain was a nice change of pace. Something to start anew. Even if people associated the rain with depressing days. 

Not you though, there was always one thing you looked forward to after the rain ended. 

You felt almost like a character out of a book, watching the rain slowly come to a stop, some clouds began to part showing the setting sun. And the smell, oh man the smell. You breathed it in, with a smile and closed eyes and upon opening your eyes, you saw the man before was taking off his mask, his eyes also closed as he too took in a deep breath. 

“Nice, isn’t it?” You spoke up, though you weren’t always one to talk to strangers. 

The man opened his eyes, turning his head to look at you. His black locks draping his face and you finally noticed the two little moles on his forehead. 

“Yeah,” he agreed. You smiled up at him and for some reason you wanted to keep talking to him. Even he was admittedly intrigued, but that’s probably because of the fact that you had puppy food and, well, he does like dogs. 

“Are you heading to the station?” You asked. He nodded and with that you beamed, immediately trying to find a way to keep a conversation. Which, to yours and his own surprise, wasn’t hard. 

After all, this wouldn’t be the last time either of you would talk.

The harmonies of seagulls and children’s laughter accompanied the melody of the ocean waves hitting the shore. All worries seemingly washing away with the way that mother nature seemed to be orchestrating the world around you. 

The fact that your flight back to Japan was tomorrow wasn’t even in the back of your head as you walked along the coastline of the beach, just a few short minutes away from Irvine where Iwaizumi was studying. The fact that you would have to continue your long-distance relationship with him once more wasn’t even a worry at this moment in time. 

After all, what’s the point of worrying about the inevitable when you could spend time with him? His hand in yours, his smile that danced along his lips as he talked about everything he’s learned here in America. 

“All the students here go to this one donut shop after the sun sets, we could go if you’d like?” Iwaizumi asked, looking at you then at the sun dipping into the ocean. Your gaze followed his, finding how beautiful sunsets look on the Californian coastline. 

You hummed, turning your head to find Iwaizumi was staring at you. Heat rushed up your face as if it was the first time you both got together and you quickly turned away. 

“I-uhm-Anywhere with you is fine with me, Hajime.” 

His hand squeezed yours as a silence overcame the two of you, but that silence was easily filled by the calming waves of the waves.

It was a small little arcade booth game That’s all it was. The game was supposed to be easy, it is supposed to be easy. Semi just saw some middle schooler beat the game and walk away with a big teddy plush. If that middle schooler was able to beat it, he should too right?

I mean, he’s also part of the Shiratorizawa Volleyball Club. He has a mean serve that leaves his opponents in the dust. 

So someone explain to him why he was stuck at this arcade game for the past thirty minutes as you stood off to the side slightly antsy. It was just three damn bottles he had to knock down. Three. That’s it. 

“Eita, baby, it’s okay, let’s try out some other games!” You pleaded, slightly tugging on his jacket sleeve. But he didn’t budge. You weren’t surprised, he was athletic and there’s only so much you could do to try to physically overcome him. Aka, practically impossible. 

Semi frowned before muttering, “It should be easy, just let me try again.” He looked past you, glaring at the back of the head of the middle schooler before turning his attention back to the game. The teenager in charge of the booth shied away, a little scared of the intense energy emitting from Semi. 

You sighed, “I mean, it’s really cute of you to try to win the teddy bear but-”

The game bell rang out, interrupting you and you glanced at the empty shelves missing of bottles with an open jaw before your closed your mouth, the corners of your lips turning upward. 

The teenaged boy handed Semi the large plushed teddy bear. You couldn’t help but squeal in response when Semi handed you the giant, soft plushie. His face was stained red and you would have taken this chance to tease him but the plushie was way too soft for you to not bury your face into it. 

A small smile made its way onto Semi’s face. The last thirty minutes at this booth was totally worth it. Save for the fact that he could’ve bought the teddy bear for much less than how much he just spent at this booth. Not that he’d tell you.

A lot of people would say Kenma would much rather be sticking around in his room to play video games. Sure he’s someone who prefers Quality Time as a way to show his love, but that didn’t mean he wanted you to form to his wants and needs all the time.

Kenma is just Kenma. And he actually doesn’t mind going out with friends. He is able to hold a conversation and game after all.

To be honest, Kenma enjoyed going out. Even if he was exhausted from some sort of shenanigans his friends would get caught up in, he found that he never regretted not going out. And why not spend time with his favorite people and his favorite activity, which of course is gaming.

It’s why he liked spending a lot of time with you. You never quite drained his energy. Usually even if he sat in silence with someone like Bokuto, if the guy can even sit in silence, his energy would get zapped and he’d need to go back and crawl under his blankets in his bedroom.

But with you? Kenma never felt drained. He’d spend every hour with you if he could, not that he’d admit it unless prodded enough. And it’s how he found himself out in the middle of the night with you, watching the stars streak across the sky.

With clear skies, a crescent moon almost becoming a new moon, the stars shone a little bit brighter than usual.

Upon glancing at Kenma, you found him somewhat nodding off and you chuckled quietly. Usually he’d be asleep by now so that he could wake up early and play games. But instead he chose to go out with you to watch the meteor shower that was going to peak in an hour.

But you were fine with not seeing it.

“No it’s okay, let’s wait,” he responded and you couldn’t help but smile a little bit before returning your gaze back up to the stars in the night.

For now, you didn’t have to worry about anything. Not even your possibly unrequited feelings you had for Kenma. But for you? This was good enough.

Lucky for you he felt the same in every which way. After all, in Kenma’s eyes, you were brighter than any star in the sky.

The mirror in front of you showed all parts of yourself that you hated. It was as if the mirror made sure to accentuate every part that looked ugly. But the part in particular that you hated the most was your chest. 

Despite the running shower, you’re still standing in front of the bathroom mirror to stare at yourself, it’s not like staring and criticizing your body would do anything and yet you still did. 

You didn’t know why Akaashi was with you sometimes. You felt like you couldn’t fit the beauty standard that Akaashi could easily get. He was so pretty and attractive, with a kind personality that’s more than considerate. He was literally a Disney prince. 

A sigh escapes your mouth as you trace over your breasts with your fingers. 

“Maybe I should just shower and get clothed,” you say to yourself. The faster you finish, the faster you can hide your body with a big t-shirt and sweatpants. 

The steam from the shower escapes into the bedroom as you walk out, drying your damp hair with a towel. Akaashi sits on your shared bed, reading something on his phone. He looks up at you and a small smile makes its way on his face as you meet his eyes. But then he frowns.

Putting his phone down, he pats the bed next to him, “What’s wrong?” 

Akaashi was always good at somehow picking up on how you were feeling. You already know that there’s no way out of this so you set the damp towel aside and make your way to him. 

Once you settle down on the bed, Akaashi lays his head on your chest with his arms around your waist, pulling you close to him. You run your hands through his hair as that helped soothe you the most.  You know he’s still waiting for a response as he leaves small kisses against your chest. 

“I just, Keiji, you love me, right?” You ask. Akaashi lifts his head to stare into your eyes, a look of disbelief settled on his face despite being a man who doesn’t carry many emotions on his face. 

“What? Of course I do, (Y/n),” Akaashi tries to reassure you. “What brought this on?” He settles his head back onto your chest and you feel your insecurities coming back at full force.

“Is... Is my chest comfortable for you to lay on?” You question, anxiety laced within your words. “It’s just, I know I don’t have the-”

“(Y/n),” his voice interrupts you, propping himself on his elbow to get a better look at you. “You will always be beautiful to me. Your body is perfect to me. And even if it wasn’t, I’d still love you. I didn’t ask you to be with me for your body.” 

Apparently your face still showed that you weren’t convinced because Akaashi’s hands found it’s way underneath your shirt, slowly trailing up your torso. 

“If you don’t believe my words,” Akaashi bends down to place a soft kiss against yours, “I can show you with my actions?”

You don’t feel better right away, in a perfect world you would. It takes you a while to love yourself as much as Akaashi loves you but eventually you do.
