Remember the time you invited me over and were being the sweetest you had ever been to me and grabbed me popeyes on the way to your house just to get me to go inside with food so you could lock ur door and throw it at me and cut my clothes off me with scissors, beat me till i was bleeding and covered in food when I hadn’t eaten all day. when i tried to run out the door you stole my glasses and shoes and i was wearing little to nothing and holding my clothes on because you cut them up and its was 4am by this time and i got picked up by some sex traffickers next to your house and realized they weren’t going to help me so i ran out of their truck and back to your house so i could get my glasses or my phone to tell someone to help me but instead you wouldnt let me leave or call anyone and i was too exhausted to fight back so you went in my wallet and stole a 700$ paycheck and threw me in your tub with a concussion and started crying to me telling me how sorry u were and it was just the pills making you do this and I believed you so i stayed only to find out later you hadnt taken anything and you left me with a few broken ribs when i was pregnant with your child. You tried to kill me. This wasn’t the only time. I was so clouded with love for you I thought unconditional love actually meant you could do anything to me and it was still my duty to love and cherish everything you were to me. Oh man its fucked me up.

Im shattered. I flinch when someone raises their hand or moves too quick near me.

I think about physical affection and it makes me hopeless and nauseous At least a few times a day.

I get told im pretty and all i can hear is you explaining to me how foul i am and how undeserving i am of real love.

Im permanently effected by you.

Literally stained my existence and when i try and sleep all i can think about is you treating me like demonic presence in your life when i could have just ran as fast and as far away as i could.

I do. I remember.

In fact i cant forget. And as much as i want to. I cant. For her.

For my unborn child. I am sorry.

For you. Im sorry. I stayed.

Im scared for whoever falls for you next.

I wish i did more to help her.

And im inexcusably sorry.

I speak too late 100% of the time.

One day i will forgive myself for not doing more for the next girl and for not doing more for me or for my child.

I could spend another few years disassociating from all that youve done to me and act like nobody needs to hear this. But i want peace. So i need to remember how real it was. All of it. Every little second. Was so real. And it happened and people can listen to it without me having to relive it or feel pitied for. Because its all gone now. And i need to open my ears to all ive been through before I forget and mentally erase it because it hurts and get stuck in the same terrible situations.

I’ve been guilty of participating in the “camping” thing before I understood how misguided that was and how it could put people who need abortions in greater peril. Restricting abortions is racist, sexist oppression in action. Forced birth is engineered poverty.
