only female attorney in canon + canonically a prodigy (law & psych degrees by age EIGHTEEN, one of the youngest in the franchise) but only actually acts as a lawyer in like 3 of the 5 cases in the game even though its HER GAME. is otherwise reduced to either a support character or the DEFENDANT instead of being allowed to actually do her job. gets 1 single case in the other game shes in and it sucks

Y’know what? I haven’t been working on the dual destinies rewrite as much as I probably should due to college, so I’m gonna post the Wip script for the intro. I’ll get to the actual pictures at some point, don’t worry.

(The scene starts in the courtroom with the timer slowly fading in, just like in the original cutscene, but the amount of time is greater)

Phoenix (voiceover): I understand that the legal system has never been perfect…

(Scene briefly flashes to riots outside the courthouse)

Phoenix: But I never thought it would end up like this.

(Scene switches again: We see Trucy poring over some evidence and Apollo talking to the witness)

Miles: It didn’t come out of nowhere. Even with our efforts to fight it, it’s undeniable that this system has been slowly going downhill for years now.

(Scene flashes to people reading newspapers and getting angry)

Miles: Corruption, bribes, deceit..

(Scene switches to Clay at the witness stand, saying something inaudible)

Miles: Unrest has been growing steadily as a result.

(Scene briefly switches to a shadowy figure in a jail cell giving some notes to some random journalist. The shadowy figure starts grinning)

Miles: With the way things are now, all it would take is one spark…

(The bomb guy grimaces for a second, and then stands up all of a sudden and starts yelling about the bomb. The timer is still visible. Everyone panics and runs out, Apollo, Trucy, and Clay included)

Miles:…To set everything ablaze.

(In the empty courtroom, the timer runs out, and the bomb explodes. The screen flashes to white)

(Two days later)

(Athena is shown running through a hallway, going up the stairs, and towards a courtroom. She stops for a minute to catch her breath when Juniper enters the frame)

Juniper: You’re finally here! Are you ready Athena?

Athena (grinning): Yeah…I’m ready. Let’s do this!

(Scene fades to black)

I’ve made some ace attorney redesigns, and let me explain the design choices! (Criticism is appreciated, but keep it constructive)

First is Edgeworth! (There are two versions because I couldn’t decide if I wanted the suit long or not)

So this is when he comes back in Dual Destinies, and I always thought his outfit was a little disappointing. So I gave him gloves, ruffles, a pin (which is his prosecutor’s badge) and a different waistcoat.

This was mostly just to give him a more fancy look, and I think it fits him.

So I didn’t change a lot for these two, but for Apollo I just changed his suit and hair.

But for Athena I gave her pants, because the skirt, leggings and boots did NOT look good together in my opinion. So I gave her black shoes to match with everyone else, and I made her hair a lighter color.
