I’m acespec and as a child I always thought there was something wrong with me. Sure I didn’t mind seeing sexual things but doing it myself? I purely had no interest in pleasuring or being pleasured. In all honesty I’d prefer not to be touched in that area. Perhaps I’m a bit sex repulsed but majorly indifferent. I thought I was broken or lying to myself bc I’m also bi. Only later to find out it’s ok. I wish I knew it was ok or that someone told me then. Also the time I identified as ace was when I was young and Lgbtq ppl often rejected me and told me I was too young to know. A bit hypocritical don’t you think? I always knew who I was though and to all the young aces or aros out there: there’s nothing wrong with you. How you feel is up to you and no one else’s. Don’t let people make you doubt yourself or feel bad. You’re valid, you can identify however you want. You are you, you feel what you feel, and nobody decides that for you.
