Before the season ends tomorrow, we can absolutely say, that Aicha gave us the most realistic insight to s8 with her insta stories. I have to say I never thought it would get as bad as it did. But here we are:

Ava is the only one paired off with some rando who we met in s8 for the first time. They gave him a connection to something established earlier, but only talked about it in chats, which makes it even more half assed (don’t know or care what happens with failin and why the show feels the need to pair everyone off)

She is the only cashqueen without a season. I already thought it was weird that they changed the friend group in OG SKAM for only one pov (isak’s) and now they did it again. But it’s worse in Druck because they only have 4 cash queens and 4 seasons.

Her lines seem weirdly cut short (abi prank, future plans, confronting Ben) compared to the other’s or repeat the same praise for the main over and over again. Ava was allowed to “disagree” with the main ONCE, when she stopped clapping and instead took a sip, but it feels like they put it in for the giggles because nothing followed out of it.

She had more screen time than in s7, which makes sense, but they stripped her off every character trait she ever had. She had no agenda for herself, other than her getting together with Mervan. This is not really about giving Ava a satisfying ending, tho. When you think about it, it feels even more like a decision made out of pity and most importantly to shut up criticism.

Every character is very bland this season, even the main, but all the others have something established from season 5 to 7 (yes, 7 as well at least imo), that they get to keep. Ava has nothing left and only gets focus when she is there to support the main. It’s really bad.

I'm sorry but skam france not thanking Ayumi for her work in season 9? When she was the main actress? And now the whole cast winning an award for the show, but her not being present and nobody even mentioning her when the last season was hers? This at the same time Aicha (ava from druck) spoke out about people in her line of work forcing her to stay silent about white priviledge, when druck not only sidelided Ava in season 7 but gave season 8 to another white character that had no backstory at all?

It's clear druck and skam france are clearly not treating their woc actresses well or giving the respect they deserve, so in all honesty? fuck them both for that and fuck their new seasons. Do not give them any more views.

I hope Aicha and Ayumi know how loved they are by the audience and get to be recognized in much better projects.
