The sun was setting as the carriage pulled out of the kingdoms walls. Will sat in the carriage holding onto his papers and suitcase as he looked out the window. The night sky starting to come into the world as the stars above started to show themselves. Night though was seen as something evil from where Will is from. A time where all evil and all types of beast come out and do their deeds

" Will be at the camp in less then 10 minutes! Commander Lector will be there to greet you"

Will heard one of the soldiers say " thank you " he calls back and sighs leaning back as his eyes fall on Jack " I didn't except you to come along

" I'm only coming along to make sure you get to the camp safe. I won't be staying if that's what you're wondering " Jack rolled up his sleeves a little " your emotions are showing to much Will

" what is that supposed to mean Jack? "

" what it means is that if I can see you're nervous and not up to this, then I sure as hell know that a mad killer can sense it a mile away. Keep your eyes wide open Will "

Will couldn't help but roll his eyes as he taps his fingers against the paper " .... Jack, I know how to take care of myself without your help. I've done it for years and I can do it again. My only job is to see what's happening to the golden soldiers that's it."

" I can't worry even a little? You're my best profiler. I also made a promise.... to Alana Bloom.... that I wouldn't let you get close. Don't make me break that promise Will"

Jack was a weird man because in one hand he seemed to care about Will but then on the other hand Will could tell Jack only wanted him because of his mind.... of how 'special' it was. Though, Will didn't see like Jack did. He saw things differently so the fact Jack made a promise to Alana that they both knew would be broken bothered Will. Will knew better then to say that to Jack and the silence that took over the carriage was huge. Till the carriage stopped and Will looked out the window seeing the military camp.

The camp had green tents all around and in the middle was a fire to keep the soldiers warm and to keep the dark spirits and animals away from camp. The smell of roasted chicken filled the air and the small sounds of laughter as well

" I'll try to make sure this promise isn't broken " Will grabbed his things and opened the door stepping out of the carriage " goodbye Jack " and with that Will closed the door and stepped away from the carriage. His eyes wondering around and taking in his surroundings. The buzz of excitement filled the air and also a small dark mood as well. Will was so deep in thought that he didn't hear one of the soldiers come up to him till he was tapped on the shoulder.

" you must be Mr. Will Graham! Yes? Commander Lector told us you'll be coming. His right in that tent over there " the young shoulder pointed to the largest tent in the far end of the camp. A weird place for someone so important to be in. Why was Hannibal basically on the outskirts of the camp? Usually, a commander was in the middle of the camp for safety and also to know what was happening at all times.

" thank you" Will says and slowly started to make his way to the large tent. This was like a huge target on Hannibals back. A large tent was always for the commanders. If the reds launched an attack then Hannibal was as good as dead. Then again.....why should Will care? Hannibal was the man that all reds feared. The fact Will was even this close to the man that had thousands of reds blood on his hands was already far to much.

The smell of medicine hit Wills nose first and as he walked into the tent and saw inside he stopped dead in his tracks. His eyes fall onto a dead body.... if you can even call it that. The body ripped up to the point you couldn't even make out the face. The organs almost all gone except a few

Will tightens his grip on his bag as he looks over to where Hannibal sat. The commander reading over notes as his legs were crossed and his posture perfect. How could this man act so.... fancy? Gentlemanly?.... perfect? When there was a dead body not even a few feet away from him.

" ah, Will you've arrived pretty early " Hannibal didn't look at Will as he flipped through the papers " I thought you were coming a little later "

" I wanted to get here a little early before night fully set in. Though, it seems I should have came faster " Will glanced over at the body " .... isn't this your personal tent? Why is there a dead man in here?

" I do enjoy when people arrive early. Makes them more respectable in my book" Hannibal finally put the paper down and looked at Will. It felt like some sort of wolf eyeing up its meal. Will felt Hannibals eyes go over his whole body. Hannibals eyes took every inch of him in and God did Will feel like he should have put on an even bigger jacket to hide his body. Though, something told him that no matter what he had on.... Hannibal would always make him feel like this.

" this isn't my personal tent, my tent is more deep into the camp. This tent is used for medical practice and research " Hannibal got up walking to Will " the body is one we found a few nights ago. My soldiers came across it when they were on their way to fight the reds. After the battle I went to see what happened and this is what we found. I was hoping to see if you could give me any information on this person.... I would also like to see how good you are at your job" Hannibals face was cold but his eyes showed a glint of amusement.

Will for the first time ever had no idea what to even say. He looked up at this strange man in front of him.... how the heck did he get himself into this problem? " you're testing me? "

" no, not testing you " Hannibal turns to the body " I just want to understand you...that's all "

" understand me? I don't need you trying to figure out how my mind is like if that's what you're trying to do commander...."

" now Will " Hannibal frowns " no need to act so rude. I wouldn't wish to dig in your mind~ I'm no doctor " or well not anymore " all I ask is for your help and you are here to help... yes?"

"..... yes " Will turns his attention to the body. No matter how much he wanted to leave and tell Hannibal to go fuck himself... Will knew better then to do that. He stood right next to Hannibal and mumbled " the body should be decomposing by now.... why isn't it? "

" that's what we're trying to figure out... I'll leave this to you " Hannibal backs away and sat back down onto the chair " take all the time you need "

Hannibals voice was soft and soothing. It shocked Will a lot how fast his body started to calm down. Will didn't know what the hell was happening but he ignored Hannibal. He closed his eyes pushing out all sound and allowing himself to concentrate. When he opened his eyes he started to see.

" rip by rip I destory this monster. I rip open every part of their body to show their beauty from the inside. The outside isn't beautiful to me only the inside. I wish to make the world a more beautiful place. I want everyone to love what I've given this person!

The organs will go first.... though I don't have much time till the military come so I make haste as I pulled out any organ I wished. Each one placed in a small bag that I will toss away later.

The sounds of footsteps in the distance is what makes me work faster. I become sloppy not being able to finish my work. In my final act as a sign of sorry to the monster I've killed. I slowly pour over there body a liquid that will make their decay slower. The slower it is the more beautiful they will be

Will snaps open his eyes and felt himself breathing hard as two large hands were on his shoulders

" Will? Will are you ok? " a concerned voice filled the room. Will glanced up a little and when he saw Hannibal he moved away " yes " Will said fast... damn it why the hell does Hannibal make him always act weird!

" are you sure? Don't lie to me Will... you don't seem fine to me " Hannibal reached out and takes Will by the arm pulling him out the tent " come " he says and walks off back into the camp. Will felt so out of place in this world as he tried to process what he had just seen " I'm fine " he said again but his words hit deafs door. He followed Hannibal into another tent that was big enough but not as big as the medical tent " is this your personal chambers?

" yes, no need to worry I don't sleep much so you can sleep in here." Hannibal leads Will inside to a small cot and placed him onto it " I work at my desk.... I hardly even use my bed

" what?" Will tried to get up but Hannibals hold was firm " I don't need to sleep in your bed"

" Mr. Graham, I fear you must have gotten the wrong idea of what things will happen here. I am here to protect you and if you thought you could just leave my sight then you're sadly mistaken. I promised Jack that I will keep you safe and I intend to do so. " Hannibal moves his hands away slowly

" why? Why does everyone feel the need to protect me? I'm a grown man " Will felt aggravated by everything

" because a gem like you is worth protecting Will" Hannibal went to his desk sitting down " now, what did you see?

Will dug his nails into the bed but slowly takes a soothing breath. He sighs and looks at Hannibals desk " this killer craves to make things more beautiful. He sees regular people as monsters. "

" just like the other killer?" Hannibal asked and when he got a weird looked from Will he smiled " there is a paper going around called " tattle crime news" it has a lot of things you've said about cases. I remember reading one about you finding a woman with flowers inside of he stomach yes? You said that the killer was someone that liked art...so I'm wondering if the killer is the same killer or not?

" what paper?.... I've never heard of a paper documenting all the stuff I've looked into.... " Will felt more annoyed then disturbed then again he worried....how long has this paper been going around? Did they know more about him too? " This killer isn't the same as the other one. The killer you speak of is someone that's carful and educated. That killer knows when to strike and how to.... they know when is the best time to get their next kill. This killer though.... this killer is sloppy with their work. This killer doesn't want to make art... he wants to just make the world more beautiful. The other killer though they want something far more higher level then this copycat "

" copycat? So you know that much already just by looking at the body?" Hannibal said more to himself " the paper has been around for a few years now. Most of your cases you've done are on there."

Will pushed his brown hair back a little as he started to feel a little hot " trust me, this killer is a copycat...his not on the same level as the other killer. This killer is sloppy to the point they didn't get all the organs...they didn't finish their job at all. That's why the body isn't decaying as it should. The killer wanted to show how sorry they were for not finishing their masterpiece"

" masterpiece?..... well now that we know this is a copycat we can sleep safe to know they won't be as smart as this other killer that's out there hmmm?

" a killer is a killer...commander " Will gets off the bed fixing his clothes up " this one will kill again but this killer isn't the one after your soldiers. They just found this one and killed him because they wanted to. That's all that's to it"

" that's true Mr. Graham but I can tell a threat like them is low. They won't kill again that's for sure "

What did Hannibal mean by that? Will was actually taken back by that statement " and how do you know that? "

" a commander knows all" Hannibal gets up and gently placed his hand on Wills shoulder " now sleep " he turns away going to the tent flap " I need you well rested for tomorrow "

And with that Hannibal left. Will was left alone in the tent and he was left wondering one thing

Did he do the right thing accepting to work with Hannibal?

I'm so sorry and I wanna say first of all, yeah I had to put my legal name on there just to avoid any sort of trouble with "faking" being a person.

Listen, I'm very sorry and I hate hate hate asking for help from others or depending on someone else because we all have it rough and I should be able to just take care of myself, I should, but my grandparents and family is extremely controlling with me and it's almost as if they want to keep me dependent on them.

I'm scared because I deal with transphobic remarks all the time from them, and recently a family member of mine made a very violent comment towards TW for transphobia: killing trans people

I'm not safe to stay anywhere near my family at all, and I need help to get away from here, whether that's a "good luck", sharing, or anything at all. Anything helps me right now and I appreciate yall even taking the time to read this, I really do! I want to be able to live freely and be trans without having my life in danger or being surrounded by so much hate.

I hate having to rely on help here, but I really can't do this alone and I graduate by next spring. By then, I want to be gone and never have anything to do with my biological family again.

everyones doing this so I'm joining in. prediction for the summer series roster:

keepers: alyssa, jane, franch or ashlyn

defenders: becky, abby, crystal, kelley, sonnett, tierna, alana, midge, ali (maybe)

midfielders: rose, sam, kristie, lindsey, andi, cat

forwards: christen, pinoe, alex, carli, lynn, tobin

24 players, I think that's how many are on the roster this time? anything more than this would be too much in my opinion because vlatko still has to whittle it down to 18. also not sure if he's taking training players but if he is then my guesses would be:

ashlyn hariris or ad franch: personally I think jane should be here instead of on the roster but vlatko seems to like her, so I digress. they both had solid performances in the challenge cup. vlatko seems focused on devolpping younger keepers so franch has a higher chance of making an appearance.

emily fox: she played her heart out against washington. didn't really see the hype about her until that game. solid player & definitely in vlatko's future plans.

jaelin howell: she's gonna be the next julie ertz I'm telling yall. I'm assuming ertz won't be able to participate in these friendlies. (which means yay for andi, vlatko better give her minutes)

sophia smith or mal pugh: if the roster was 26 I'd easily add these two & drop all the other training players. they've both performed well in their respective clubs, I can't chose between the two. good thing vlatko's making that choice & not me. if tobin isn't fit, I'd replace her with one of these two & have the other one as the training player. if tobin is fit, I'd drop ali, take tobin along with one of these two, & leave the other as a training player.

I understand the hype with sydney leroux & I'd be ecstatic if she made the roster (if we're basing things off club performance, syd deserves the call up over lynn) but I just don't see vlatko making any major changes this close to the olympics. if she's on it I'll cry though because I'll get LeMew again 🥺

favorite episode and why: oh we’re just goin straight to the hard questions huh um OKAY so i think i can only do an ep a season - s1: SORBET SUPREMACY! you get to see the exact moment will looks at hannibal and thinks “.........shit. it’s him isn’t it. he’s The One. SHIT.” and that is so important to me - s2: this one is really hard maybe naka-choko? it’s so fucking gay and sexy. but tome-wan... but mizumono............ yeah idk - s3: torn between digestivo and the wrath of the lamb cuz they both hurt SOOO good much; i love will breaking up with hannibal and hannibal manipulating the situation so will can’t leave asldkjansk it’s so toxic we have to stan..... and for twotl i mean do i really have to give a reason every scene LIVES in my mind and it contains my favorite shot in the whole show:

least favorite episode and why: i feel like they’re all so necessary that it’s kind of impossible to say but probably antipasto. i get sick of hannibal and bedelia’s shenanigans really quickly and as much as i hate to admit it... i miss will. i also think it was an extremely weak season opener and i blame it for getting the show canceled sjshshsgsg the resentment...

if you could bring back one character who died, who would it be?: RANDALL FUCKING TIER. i want there to be a weird thing with him and hannibal and will going on. but also i love what his death did for will so idfk, other than him it’s gotta be beverly

was there any scene that you didn’t like to look at?: nah. the skin ripping scenes at the beginning of either kaiseki or sakizuki (idk i don’t remember, i hardly watch s2a) are particularly brutal but i tough it out

why did you start watching hannibal?: my wife, who was my girlfriend at the time, and her dad were watching it as it was airing and i was like “oh cool hannibal lecter origin story” but due to inconsistent access to the episodes i would just watch it randomly and that is... not the way to watch hannibal. i gave up around the end of s2 but knew hannigram was It regardless. i decided to watch s3 for the first time earlier this year just to have finished it and was like HOLD UP and did an immediate rewatch that left me... well, how i am now

finally picking hannibal back up despite getting increasingly sick of s3 and my very first episode back has a scene about teeth and it uh. bothered me. and that turned into me ranting about all the other things in this show that bother me. so maybe don’t click the read more if you like the show hannibal and/or don’t want to read me pedantically nitpicking about teeth for 13 bullet points

bite mark analysis is known bullshit but i’ll let it slide since it’s a cop show

but even if bite mark analysis was legit i don’t think you could make THAT detailed a replica of the teeth from a bite mark

like i can see bite marks telling you something about the occlusal/incisal surfaces, alignment, and angulation of the teeth (again, if bite mark analysis worked, which it doesn’t), but that is a full-on plaster cast of a set of teeth complete with details that could not even theoretically be left in a bite mark, like the different clinical crown lengths, a super varied gingival margin, and little divots on the facial and buccal surfaces of the teeth? i guess the last one you could make a case for being just accidental dents in the plaster but the first two are bothering the fuck out of me

he pointed at the air next to the mandible (??) and then at the mandibular right lateral

peg laterals are only found in the maxilla

there aren’t even peg laterals in that model

“central incisor’s got a corner missing, and the other central incisor’s got a groove in it” okay and what about the other two central incisors

there’s a shadow over the central incisors in the close-up and the incisal edges of the maxillary ones are partly hidden behind the mandibular teeth but none of them looked like they had a corner missing

the right maxillary central looked like it maybe had a shallow groove on the facial surface but again, even by the fake standards of bite mark analysis how on earth would you figure that out from a bite mark on a soft surface like skin

"snaggletoothed son of a bitch” seems like a bit of an overstatement. like yeah they could use orthodontics (if these teeth were actually in a person’s mouth and not just set into a model by that weird chinatown dental office-slash-tattoo parlor from earlier in the episode) but their teeth are intact and don’t have any major defects that i can see?

otoh maybe my standards are just different because i’ve seen so many photos of tooth diseases/deformities even before getting to any sort of diagnostics course. maybe non-dentists really think “just needing braces really really badly” is the worst a mouth can look

and finally, both because it’s somehow the last thing i noticed and because it’s maybe the most egregious mistake in this scene: how the fuck are this mouth’s nonexistent incisor defects the identifying characteristics and not the fact that it’s missing its goddamn molars?! that’s twelve fucking teeth! over a third of the mouth! an entire class of tooth missing and none of the characters comment on it!

is this how real forensic scientists feel all the time watching crime dramas because if so i salute them all

anyways the following started out as tags but they got WAY too long so here are my non-tooth-related complaints:

i’m sorry for bringing up paul blart mall cop 2 for the third time in less than a week but this show is really starting to feel like that bad scene where neal mcdonough and kevin james yell about how crazy they are

“you think YOU’RE crazy, hannibal?? i’m a DRAGON WEREWOLF who keeps a MURDER SCRAPBOOK because i’m so TWISTED” like just..... stop.

i mean the show always had a huge element of “look how ~edgy~ and ~twisted~ this is, aren’t we so ~sick~” but it’s really getting unpalatable in s3. not in an “i can’t handle their ~twisted visions~” way but in an “i’m really not impressed by it or enjoying it and it’s making it hard for me to take the show seriously” way

like the last episode before the time skip was i guess supposed to be super tense and serious and show how dark all the characters had gotten, but it was about mason verger wanting to wear will’s face and secretly having his sperm harvested?? face/off with prostate milking isn’t scary, it just sounds like a fake episode you’d make up as a meme like “pearl hates the irish”

i’m still so fucking furious at them for brutally murdering beverly AND fridging abigail TWICE, the second time literally IMMEDIATELY after bringing her back even though it would have been so much more interesting to explore the repercussions of this plot element that drove the entire second season turning out to be a lie???

like i literally got so excited when i saw she was alive cause i was like “hell YES what’s gonna happen to will and alana’s guilt and their parental-like relationships with her, how has abigail been changed by months with no human contact other than hannibal, how does this complicate hannibal’s relationship with the rest of the cast, how does this affect the public’s perception of everything that’s happened, how—” and then none of that fucking mattered because she got murdered again in order to give will the exact same emotional pain we literally already saw him go through at the beginning of the season

yall i think hannibal might be a bad show, or a show that has lots of individually great elements that it doesn’t always know how to pull together, or a show that’s so far removed from my personal tastes that i should just stop watching it

but like.......... i wanna see margot and alana’s baby and “is hannibal lecter in love with me?” and the cliff scene so >:(
