I don't think CP has always ben this person. Take a look at her friends circle. She also used to date that black British actor/director Aml Ameen, whom last time I checked, they were still friends. She used to have standards, but it seems like her self-esteem is at an all time low. If I knew The Flash was going to lead her to this path, I rather she left for her own piece of mind. She literally could get any guy she wanted. Why she wants to settle down with that foot is beyond me. He's a has-been in the sports industry. No one respects him. I can't believe she's going out this sad. 😳

How Little Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock was cast in her first movie role
Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock makes her movie debut in Boxing Day, which has just received its first trailer. The movie marks the feature directorial debut of I May Destroy You star Aml Ameen who also wrote, produced and stars in the lead role as Melvin, a British author living in America. In the festive trailer, we see Melvin returning home to London with his new fiancée, Lisa (Aja Naomi King). At Christmas the couple come face-to-face with Melvin's ex-girlfriend and global superstar, Georgia (Pinnock). Speaking to Digital Spy, Ameen explained that he was "hell-bent on finding my Julia Roberts from My Best Friend's Wedding or Notting Hill" for the role of Georgia, finding her in the Little Mix star. "I wanted someone with the characteristics of those roles. I was looking for someone who could sing too. My writing partner, Bruce Purnell, said that I had to check out this girl and showed me Leigh-Anne. I didn't know Little Mix at the time," he continued. "One of the casting directors got in touch with her, and she filmed a tape. When I watched it, I saw something incredible in there. Now I know her really well, and she's one of the most wonderful people I've ever met in my life. She's got so much humanity; so sensitive, so down to earth. That's what made her the superstar she is, and why people love her so much, and these are the aspects I really wanted in the character of Georgia." Ameen praised how seriously Pinnock approached her movie debut, taking acting classes and working "tirelessly" in the role, with the rest of the cast taking her under their wing.

Till Death (2021)
Genre: Thriller
Who's In It: Megan Fox, Eoin Macken, Callan Mulvey, Jack Roth, Aml Ameen
Who Directed It: S.K Dale
Plot: A woman is left handcuffed to her dead husband as part of a sick revenge plot. Unable to unshackle, she has to survive as two killers arrive to finish her off.
Running Time: 88 Minutes
IMDB Score: 5.9
Why I Watched It: Trailer was decent enough did like the plot and it was short.
How I Watched It: iTunes
What I Liked: This is one of those movies that has a very good hook, not going to lie this movie works cause of it's very good B-Movie premise, logic is going to fall by the way side but it's cool plot will keep plotting. The idea may be silly but it does work and a lot of credit goes to Megan Fox and the director S.K Dale, Fox does some great physical work, she mostly has to deal with a dead body attached to her but she sells anger, desperation and fear. The fact the films works is because the director was smart enough to keep the action working once the plot kicks in. This is one of those movies if you give the audience too much time to take the breath they fall in to the plot holes, keep it movie and the audience doesn't have time to think the just go with it.
The action is good and the location is great you can feel the cold and I think that was another smart element to the story, everything is working against the lead, she has to survive not only the bad guys but the elements.
What I Didn't Like: Megan Fox isn't a great actress and the beginning is hurt buy that and also the set up takes a while and I have to say the first part does hamper the film, no one is likable and they give us too much time to not really care for Fox, and that's a bad thing cause we'll be spending a lot of time with her and if we don't like her why do we care what she's going through. The weakness in the character is we don't know much about her, she's married a rich prick and even though she has everything she's not happy and she's having an affair, again not really likable.
I'm not going to pick every plot hole or WTF moment but let's just say there's a few and oddly there has to be to keep this movie going, it's only 88 minutes it would have worked better at 75. The very end does drag and the two bad guys that so up are so stock and one dimensional I almost tuned out.
Final Thoughts: I'm kind of mixed but I will say this is a small movie and it does work on a basic and cool B-Movie level and say what you want about Megan Fox she's a watchable actress and she works her ass off here to sell the danger.
Rating: 6/10

TILL DEATH (2021)
Starring Megan Fox, Eoin Macken, Callan Mulvey, Jack Roth, Aml Ameen, Stefanie Rozhko, Julian Balahurov, Lili Rich and Teodora Djuric.
Screenplay by Jason Carvey.
Directed by S.K. Dale.
Distributed by Screen Media. 88 minutes. Rated R.
“Till death do us part…” has always felt like an extraordinarily morbid thing to have to say at the end of what is supposed to be a vow of true love and commitment.
Particularly in modern times, when, let’s face it, the great majority of marriages don’t come close to lasting until death. However this thriller is apparently about a couple in which at least one of the members didn’t know about – or more to the point don’t believe in – divorce or annulment.
This couple is Emma (Megan Fox) and Mark (Eoin Macken). She is a former photographer. He is a controlling lawyer who once handled a case which jailed a man who had tried to kill Emma. Somehow, they got together after that, but by the time we meet them it is quite obvious that there are significant cracks in their relationship. Both act coldly… almost numbly… towards each other. Simple statements he makes (like “I thought you were going to wear the red dress”) seem like threats.
And we learned, before we even met Mark, that Emma was having an affair with one of Mark’s employees (Aml Ameen). This affair also doesn’t exactly seem passionate, although they seem to care for each other. However, Emma appears so wounded that she can’t connect with anyone and ends the relationship in the opening scenes.
It is Emma and Mark’s anniversary, and he takes her out to a fancy dinner and then takes her to a secluded lake house they used to go to in better times. He set up the lake house with rose petals strewn on the floor and hundreds of burning candles leading the way to the bedroom (which seems odd – even to an audience that has only known him for a short while – because he seems like about the least romantic man you could find).
After a night of making love, Emma wakes up to find herself handcuffed to Mark, who is sitting on the side of the bed. Then he takes a pistol and shoots himself in the head.
Wow, that’s one hell of a morning after.
Therefore, she is stuck in a remote cabin, with no phone or sharp items, keys or cars, chained to a dead body. That’s quite a bit of symbolism in this marriage.
Much of Till Death – particularly in the first half – is rather reminiscent of Stephen King’s Gerald’s Game, which was made into a slightly better film a few years ago for Netflix. In that film, though, the husband didn’t purposely kill himself. Instead, he died during a BDSM game gone awry, and the wife was cuffed to the bed, not to her late husband’s corpse.
In this film, eventually her lover shows up, as do two criminals planning on breaking into the safe for a stash of diamonds. It turns out – small world – that one of those men was the guy who tried to kill her years before, who had recently gotten out on parole. And before you think that was a huge coincidence, apparently it was all part of late hubby’s devious plan.
Honestly, once the other people intrude on the story, Till Death becomes a more standard chiller – fairly good but nothing we haven’t seen before. Even with the additional characters, it’s certainly a claustrophobic tale. There are only five characters on the screen throughout the majority of the film (and only a total of nine even if you include bit parts).
Till Death is not totally successful at telling its sordid and scary little tale, but it does better at it than you may expect.

2021 Horror Challenge: [47/?]
↳ “Happy anniversary, pumpkin.” Till Death (2021) dir. S.K. Dale
Plot: A woman is left handcuffed to her dead husband as part of a sick revenge plot. Unable to unshackle, she has to survive as two killers arrive to finish her off.
Starring: Megan Fox, Callan Mulvey, Eoin Macken, Aml Ameen & Jack Roth
Okay, last of the catchup on my movie reviews! I had no idea going into this one whether I would like it or not, but I really wanted to have an open mind. I’m personally in the camp of believing that Megan Fox is a better actress than society gives her credit for. Not everything has to be Oscar worthy to be good and I think she gave this one her all. If anything, she has natural magnetism and it works. After Jennifer’s Body made her a scream queen, I think she earned that title again in this one because it is her movie. I love how resourceful and snarky her character was because it made it easy to root for her. There’s definitely some justified qualms about logistics narratively because it does sometimes feel like they put her through the ringer at times when it didn’t need to be that way (you’re telling there was no easier way to uncuff him from her? Also, how is it humanly possible that she was able to get his shirt on like that with them being cuffed together???) That all said, this is a movie and I get that. You gotta excuse things sometimes, logic be damned. lol Despite all that, I had fun with it. It was certainly a nail biter and I was entertained the whole time so I did get at least what I expected from it. If you’re a fan of Megan’s and wanna see her in a movie where she’s allowed to shine, check it out. She was stunning in this btw.

I love Tom but no...😂😂😂 I want to see her with someone like Rege, MBJ, Chris Evans, etc. Heck, even her ex Aml Ameen. I saw "Boxing Day" over the holidays and it's such a cute rom-com movie. Very enjoyable. Not only is he the lead but he also wrote and directed it, which is quite impressive. I keep forgetting he's British. Lol
We’re pretty ‘meh’ on Aml in general. He’s a good actor and very handsome but he doesn’t make a lasting impression. Not the way someone like Daniel Kaluuya or Jonathan Majors (someone else we would LOVE Candice to work with) leaves a lasting impression. Rege is a good choice as well. Chris and MBJ will always be at the top of the list.

Salām alaikum sister. Does 'nazar' in Islam exist? And if so, what can we do abou it? How can we protect ourselves from it; is there any dua one should read on a daily basis?
Walaikum Assalaam,
Yes, evil eye do exist.
“Whoever among you sees something in himself or in his possessions or in his brother that he likes, let him pray for blessing for it, because the evil eye is real.” Narrated by Ibn al-Sunni in ‘Aml al-Yawm wa’l-Laylah, p. 168; and by al-Haakim, 4/216. Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Kalim al-Tayyib, 243.
If ever one fears any evil from any quarter, the guidance of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) dictates that one recite the Muawwidhaat (Surahs 113 Al-Falaq and 114 An-Naas), seeking refuge and putting their complete trust and faith in the Power and Strength and Protection of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala Alone; it is expected that their Lord Most High will protect them from any and all evil, and no evil or harm will be able to approach them from any quarter.
Narrated by Abu Sa’id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him)
Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) used to seek refuge in Allah from jinn and the evil eye in men till the Mu’awwidhatan (Surah 113 Al-Falaq and Surah 114 An-Naas) were revealed, after which he (peace be upon him) made use of them and abandoned everything else.
(Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 4563)
The practice of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was to recite the Surah Al-Ikhlas, Surah Al-Falaq, and Surah An-Naas at least three times in the mornings and the evenings, and also when he (peace be upon him) retired for the night to sleep…..
Abdallah b. Habib reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Speak.” I asked, “O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), what should I say?” He (peace be upon him) replied, “Recite Surat Al-Ikhlas, and the two last Surahs (i.e. Surah al-Falaq and Surah an-Nas) in the morning and evening three times, and it will suffice you for everything.”
Read these quotes; it will help you in shaa Allah
“How many times do we hear cases of people complaining about life suddenly becoming bad, evil eye and many spiritual illnesses. However, my question is how are we using social media? You’re looking extra good, you put upload it on Facebook. A new house, your wedding photos, that expensive dress, the delicious food, the latest car, the new suit, the coolest phone- you put it on social media. You bought a new headscarf or thobe and it matches your shoes - boom put it on social media. Your smile looks extra nice today, so the world has to see it. You been banging weights and all your mates have to see the 6 pack or the new vein in the bicep so upload it for all to see. That new make up has made you look extra pretty so your friends must see it. You prayed, fasted, cried and gave charity, so your 5,000 friends have to know. Be careful of how you’re exposing your blessings to the world. Not everyone possesses what you do and not every person wants to see you happy. Make sure you pray, recite verses of protection daily and before you sleep. Not everything has to be for social media.”
-Shaykh Mohammed Aslam
"Majority of the evil eye a person receives is not from a bad person or someone intending to do you harm, its just that they see you expose the blessings Allah has given you. You or they fail to say MashaAllah!"
-Shaykh Ibrahim Osi-Efa
"People are complaining that things are going wrong in their lives and they fear they are affected by evil eye or black magic. We are living in a world where updating facebook statuses is trending. Everyone wants to show their friends their new clothes, their hairstyles, the latest hijab style, the fancy dress they are wearing and their cute smile. We give no importance to the fact that hundreds will look at us; some who love us and some who despise us. Next time you think of loading a photo of yourself, just be conscious that not everyone has what you may have and not everyone will really “like” your photo. Evil eye is a truth in Islam and we are told to safeguard ourselves from it. Recite ta'awudh (aoodhu billah) when wearing clothes and also ayatul kursi among other duas and use social media responsibly and cautiously."
-Shaykh Monawwar Ateeq
May Allah guide us to the straight path and protect us from all evil.
Allahumma Ameen

I ran across a new podcast that's owning my brain. It's called The Left Right Game, with the lead character voiced by Tessa Thompson (who also co-produced the series). The show launched in March and there's 7 episodes out as of this post. I picked it up because pre-lockdown me was obsessed with informational podcasts, and lockdown me is desperate for something to listen to that isn't informational or music.
The Left Right Game scratches two itches for me: paranormal investigation/urban myths, and convoy-based stories. It follows a cast of characters traveling together on a trip into The Left Right Game - an urban legend wherein a traveler can be transported to a different world by taking the first left, followed by the first right, then the next left, and so on. Rob Guthard (W. Earl Brown) knows how to play the game from old documents on the subject. He's obsessed with the world of the game, and leads us and a motley band of searchers out of Arizona as the road gets stranger and stranger around them. The game has rules, however, and breaking the rules have consequences. Sometimes the consequences are immediate; sometimes they descend miles and days down the road.
Our avatar on this adventure is investigative journalist Alice Sharman (Tessa Thompson), riding shotgun with Rob as she records the adventure for her own podcast. However, the story is told from two angles - her perspective, told through her recordings; and the perspective of her school friend Tom (Aml Ameen), searching for Alice after she's been radio silent for months. He receives an email from her out of the blue, with recordings attached from her trip with Rob, but nobody here in the present seems to even remember she existed except Tom.
My god, this podcast is intense. I've listened to a lot of 'found footage' podcasts and been let down as they dragged out for seasons and seasons of incomprehensible, suspense-free dreck. But by the end of the first episode of Left Right Game, I had things to think about and curiosity for the next leg of the trip. The pacing is good, there's enough side mysteries to make me want a notebook for theories, and by episode 3 the stakes have ratcheted up until I not only care about the characters but I'm sincerely worried about their safety. The last couple episodes got so crazy, I was pacing in the kitchen yelling encouragement at the people in peril.
Be warned, there's potential loss of life in this podcast. I don't know what the game actually does to people who break the rules, since the show's not over yet - for all I know they could be safe at home. But it sure looks like lethal stakes here, and while it's not graphic, there's intense scenes of panicked people struggling to save each other.
I found it on Spotify, but it looks like it's pretty much anywhere you listen to podcasts, including YouTube.

I absolutely love Capheus and I was excited for his political career. I didn’t like how the new actor played him in season two though. He made him seem childish and admittedly stupid. They had to find a new actor to replace him quickly, but sadly he wasn’t that good (in my opinion)
I didn’t exactly dislike Toby Onwumere, but Aml Ameen just set the bar so high you know. Like he simultaneously did have this kind of pure-hearted vibe but also this sense that he’d been hurt in the past and really understood pain, and was so determined. (and also so hot but that’s another story.) Like... and the two actors are really very different, I mean you could tell that they weren’t even trying to make Capheus look similar to season one Capheus, and then on the acting level too...
I’d forgotten just how different they were until I rewatched the first couple episodes of Sense8 after seeing the finale, and then it was like.... yeeeeah.

EXCLUSIVE: I May Destroy You and The Maze Runner actor Aml Ameen has commenced production on his directorial debut feature, Boxing Day, a UK based Christmas romantic comedy in which he’ll also star. Joining him on the call sheet are How to Get Away with Murder alum Aja Naomi King, Leigh-Anne Pinnock of the British girl group Little Mix (in her first film role), and Golden Globe and BAFTA-winner Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Secrets & Lies). The film, which the filmmakers are saying is the first UK holiday film featuring an all-black cast, follows Melvin (Ameen), a British author living in America who returns home to London for Christmas to introduce his American fiancée Lisa (King) to his eccentric British-Caribbean family. Their relationship is put to the test, as she discovers the world her fiancé has left behind. The BFI and Film4 are financing the project with Warner Bros. Pictures distributing in the UK & Ireland. Ameen and Purnell are producing through for their new label Studio113 with Matthew G. Zamias, Damian Jones of DJ Films, Dominique Telson, and Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor. “It is such an honour to be teaming up with Warner Bros. Pictures, Film4 and BFI to bring Black British Culture to the world in this universal holiday rom-com, remarked Ameen. “It’s long been a dream of mine to capture films that reflect the wonderfully multi-cultural city that raised me while sharing stories from the diary of my life.” Daniel Battsek, Ollie Madden and Lauren Dark will serve as executive producers for Film4, alongside Farhana Bhula for the BFI and Thorsten Schumacher for Rocket Science, which is also handling international sales. Ameen, who was most recently seen in the Sundance horror-thriller Run Sweetheart Run, is repped by The Artists Partnership, UTA, Link Entertainment, and Brecheen, Feldman, Breimer, Silver, Thompson. King is repped by Gersh, Door 24 and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern. Jean-Baptiste is with Independent Talent, Untitled Entertainment, and APA. Pinnock’s reps are Sairah Pinnock and Modest Management.
