I mean this one really is the perfect symbol again :D Harry has a jackal's head like Anubis because he is that good bad at Animagus stuff. The Snarry bestiality fic/creature fic as far as I am concerned :D

I love love love the super direct symbolism of the wand in this fic :D It's just like Harry :D Kind of Slytherin and sneaky, kind of Gryffindor and risktaking :D Also lots of dumb luck and it works out :D

I mean literally nobody is paying Snape a ton of Galleons for his services :D Bad joke but I really love the symbolism of that for the fic which has a ton of characterization and dynamics around the concept of worth <3

8. Contempt by @danpuff-ao3

The most Snarry fic of 2020s for me <3 I am pretty much totally burned on Snarry because I feel satisfied and a big reason for that is Contempt. It was so brilliant, perfect and I don't really feel like reading new Snarry at the moment :D Also a perfect image for the fic. Innocence, guilt, beauty, ugliness, imperfection, flaws, penetration lots and lots of symbolism in that <3

9. Mostly Harmless by EmilyWaters1976

The imagery of the manacle is super on point for this fic which is dark, dubcon bittersweet with a happy ending :D

10. Death and the Open Mind by Loup Garou.

The final fic is super long at like 43000 words. I mean!!! That's like 150 pages!! 150 pages!! Danni is insane and brilliant. I really love the skull rose imagery which is perfect for the fic which is dark, dirtybadhotwrong and really really beautiful.

Going to bed with Severus — to actually sleep — is Harry's favorite part. It's a bit awkward because they haven't discussed it, but Severus doesn't dissuade Harry from following him. The bed is lumpy and creaky and small. Severus is too bony to be a comfortable bedmate. Harry latches onto him all the same.

It was everything Harry wanted. It was the sort of sex he'd thought he could never have, and it made him so giddy he almost laughed out loud.

I lost it at the kaveh gingerbread house headcanon. I raise you a: what if he’s ironically bad at it despite being an architect? (This isn’t a request btw, just wanted to share)

omg anon i can already imagine kaveh, the renowned light of the kshahrewar and an absolute genius who built himself an entire briefcase that he lovingly calls Mehrak, just absolutely making a huge mess during gingerbread house making and getting so much flak for it from alhaitham who, by the way, somehow makes a perfect gingerbread house !!

"huh," alhaitham hummed, raising a brow at the mess of crumbs and frosting on kaveh's side of the table. "no wonder your clients choose to back out at the last moment."

kaveh balked, holding back the urge to push alhaitham's face into the seemingly perfect gingerbread house the scribe managed to make lest he actually gets thrown out to the streets.

"listen you arrogant bastard, these cookie pieces are much too delicate than i anticipated and the frosting i got is far too runny!"

"...sure they are." alhaitham said, already standing up. "just clean up your mess, i'm going to bed."

"wait," the blond frowned, looking at how much there is to clean. "you're not even going to help me clean up?"

"you did say that we're able to clean up after our messes. don't make too much noise, i have work tomorrow."

OGM i love moray eels w/ my whole heart and soul they are so cute and squishy and toxic and slippery and mrphrmhpmrhmphrmpmprhmphrmphmrpmphrpmhpmrpmrhm

so the shrimp thing!!! ofc morays do eat shrimp, but they also have mutualistic relationships with them (example: the red rock shrimp. the shrimp rids to eel of parasites and the moray protects the shrimp. win win!)

(i had one of my quotev readers ask me what kind of shrimp i thought floyd saw mc as, and we both eventually came to the conclusion that they were just Shrimp since there's a bunch of different kinds of goldfish and riddle is just Goldfish.)

also yeah, the whole thing with jade and floyd both listing some form of octopus as their favorite food? that's not them being little shits (though part of it very well could be.) moray eels do eat octopi and they like it. they also have this behavior where they tie themselves in knots to gain leverage over their prey, so they can rip off chunks of flesh easier. think about how the hagfish feasts on whale falls and you'll have a pretty good idea of what i'm talking about.

they secrete mucus which comes from goblet cells, and that mucus protects them from scraping against the coral reefs they swim through and hurting themselves. !!! this mucus can be toxic !!!

morays have very poor eyesight but a good sense of smell, hence the two little antennae like thingys sticking out of their head

yeah, those are their nostrils. (also thats a california moray eel!! it has ridges on the roof of its mouth to help keep prey in place. plus moray mouths are just really cool because if they have a wacky pattern, chances are that pattern continues in their mouth!!)

speaking of prey!! they have a second set of jaws call the pharyngeal jaws. they're attached to muscles that act as rubber bands and can shoot the jaws forward to help pull prey down the moray's throat.

if you see a moray "yawning" or just showing off his silly shiny teeth, it's not a threat. that's how they breathe! they're pushing water over their gills with that opening and closing of the mouth motion.

they come in so many shapes

and sizes!!

and some of them look so goofy and huggable

(the greyface moray!! isn't it the cutest???)

some of them might look a little scary...

"ugh, you wish." you smile and shake your head, because it's true.

how can you take your eyes off of someone so handsome. a face sculpted by the gods. his thick brows complimenting his pretty round eyes that could hold galaxies within galaxies. he has a high nose bridge that makes his side profile worth while to admire. and his lips? he always mentioned how the shape of his bottom lip is almost similar to orange tanghulu. they seem so kissable, so—

taehyun calls out your name, ridding you of your reverie. you blink twice to shift your eyes from his lips back up to his eyes which were staring right back at you.

"if you wanted a kiss you could ask." he says nonchalantly, watching the way his eyes flicker down to your lips and back up to your eyes.

"well, do you want to kiss me?" you don't think about your question before the words left your mouth.

"I do, actually." he cups your cheek and pulls you a little closer to his face, before whispering, "so bad."

your heart has never raced so fast before, especially for your closest friend. you curse at yourself mentally for feeling this way about him, but damn it, you're already thinking of it. might as well run with the idea of it.

"come and kiss me then." you whisper. you were thinking about teasing him a little, but you wanted his lips on your just as bad.

with taehyun's hand still cupping your cheek, he sighs as your lips connect, head feeling hazy that this is finally what it feels like to finally kiss you. he pecks your lips a couple of times before resting his forehead against yours.

"you have no idea how long I've been wanting to kiss you." he sighs.

"like you said, if you wanted a kiss, you could've just asked." you wink at him before sitting back and resume watching the series on your laptop.

And we both know he loves the attention, so as soon as they get back from a mission he instantly just starts taking off his goggles and mask and takes off his coat and all of that in an instant

😳 ...Okay, yeah, you're completely right about what that'd look like ahaha. I think Hank generally doesn't pay attention to his physique much because it's all from missions (doesn't need effort) and it just doesn't matter to him that much.

But something he does notice is how much attention you give him when he comes back from his jobs. You're always worried about how little he cares about his own safety, so it's a regular thing for you to insist on looking him over for injuries. So of course he'd help you out by taking his clothes off. How else would you be able to see him to verify if there are any wounds?

Plus, while he might be blind to how he looks, he isn't to the way he gets a reaction out of you this way. The full extent of why probably isn't on his mind, but the fact that you get so shy and blush when he shows any skin isn't lost on him. So really, him doing this is beneficial to both of you. So long as you keep your eyes solely on him, he's satisfied.

(Plus the feeling of your soft hands over his body is something he craves, so it's not like he's averse to showing off if you ask. Even if it requires him to take off more, he'd be happy to, if that's what you want.)
