DARK WINDS IS BACK

Season 2 of Dark Winds just started! If you like mysteries (somewhat gritty, but not as gritty as the Philadelphia Flyers' mascot), this is a mystery show starring a primarily native cast. Tons of actual Navajo dialogue. It's on AMC (not easily streamable, but if you have a cable subscription or YouTube TV, you can record it), and you've got to get on it. I'm not very clever when it comes to gif-making or the like, so I'll just say this is exactly the type of show that I would like to see more of in terms of its use of native languages. I am so delighted it's back!

📝A beautiful slow burner. It reminded me of 'Mystery Road', beautiful scenery, a remote community, and small police force and a murder mystery.

If you are looking for a fast action packed show then you may be disappointed, but if you enjoy watching something different, and a slow burner then this is worth checking out.

It's been announced that the streamer formerly known as HBO Max is partnering up with AMC+ for a limited time digital pop-up.

From Sept. 1st through Oct. 31st, a slew of AMC/AMC+ series are going to Max. The titles are:

-ANNE RICE'S INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE (S1)

-DARK WINDS (S1)

-FEAR THE WALKING DEAD (S1-S7)

-A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES (S1-S3)

-KILLING EVE (S1-S4)

-RIDE WITH NORMAN REEDUS (S1-S5)

-GANGS OF LONDON (S1-S2)

-The holiday is over on September 8th for the Jamie Dornan limited series THE TOURIST.

Originally on Australia's Stan, followed by BBC One, before landing on Max, the series was a success in its countries of origins, but less successful on Max. Therefore, Max did not pick up the streaming rights for series 2.

That's okay- we don't need your lousy service anyway! We'll go to Peacock where all the other British imports goes to be unwatched!

What is series two all about? Just like series one we are on the quest to uncover the truth of our favourite amnesiac Elliot's (Dornan) past, this time in Ireland. He is once again joined in this endeavor by constable Helen Chambers (Danielle Macdonald) and the two are dragged into a longstanding family feud.

While you have to wait an undetermined amount of time to see Dornan in series two of THE TOURIST, you can currently watch him and Gal Gadot in Netflix's HEART OF STONE

and September 9th, you can see him in another Sir Kenneth Branagh production - A HAUNTING IN VENICE , which reunites him with his BELFAST son, Jude Hill.

Re: the domestic violence I do not think they will want to turn off the lestat fans for season 3. That's suppose to be his season and most of his fans very much want that scene to be false. So who do they think will watch season 3- lestat fans who don't get what they want, louis or claudia fans (characters who won't even be in season 3 much)?

i'm not sure what you mean exactly. are you saying that bc the show needs lestat fans to turn up for s3 due to the other characters not featuring much in tvl that they have to give them what they want before s2 ends? i mean i guess but if thats what they wanted, they could've also achieved that w/o introducing the dv scene at all like to me it seems much more counterproductive to have that scene in the first place and then later say it's either made up, not as bad, or whatever other abuse apologist shit.. cause now there's a bunch of new fans who are more invested in the portrayal of louis and claudia being respectful that will be EXTREMELY pissed off if you do anything of the sort so you're going to end up losing a part of the fanbase anyways. of course its possible they never anticipated how strong the reaction would be to that scene and are now backtracking or trying to play both sides but again that'd prob going to end up pissing off everyone too.

that said i also think it's stupid of them to keep wink winking to the lestat fans that it """might""" be retconned if thats not their plan if they're so valuable to the brand going forward. i'd hope they care more about the general audience who are invested in the show being good??? who knows though, amc has been in deep financial shit for a while and desperation leads to crazy sometimes.

#also u can't help but notice most of their shows are no longer critically acclaimed the way they once were #like they have iwtv and dark winds as their univerally acclaimed shows #and the rest are pale imitations of prior successes or 539934 walking dead spinoffs made for the superfans #so it is a diff amc environment from the one that produced all their classic hits
