i’ve never dated a person with autism but i have had multiple workplace issues in past jobs with people who have autism and those frustrated me to no fucking avail because there was always such a lack of willingness to compromise.

bipolar is something that makes me extra sensitive to my own emotions and those that others feel, and this seems largely irrational to people who function best in the logical mind. a lot of the autistic people i’ve interacted with seem out of touch with their own feelings and unable to understand those of others because they’re so focused on their identity as an autistic person. like im forced to make my disability more digestible because of theirs, or i’m made to feel crazy for having emotions that they’re unable to understand
