In the classic Abbott and Costello comedy sketch "Who’s on First", the baseball team is made up of players with unique names like "who", "what", and "I don’t know". Poor Abbott. Poor Costello. They heard each other’s words but just couldn’t seem to understand what each other was saying. It’s no secret that we all desire to be listened to and we all want to be understood. I'm right. You're wrong. Why should I listen to you? Wait, what?!? You don’t understand what I’m saying? How is that even possible? In the book, "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People", Dr. Stephen Covey says that most people listen with the intent to reply, not to understand. You listen to yourself as you prepare in your mind what you are going to say, the questions you are going to ask, etc. You filter everything you hear through your life experiences, your frame of reference. You check what you hear against your autobiography and see how it measures up. And consequently, you decide prematurely what the other person means before he/she finishes communicating. Author and pastor Andy Stanley likes to say that leaders who don’t listen will eventually be surrounded by people who have nothing to say. How about us? Do we first seek to understand what someone else is saying, where they are coming from, or even what the situation is? We could all stand to do a little better so we don’t end up like Abbott and Costello. How about we try a little harder today to understand others. A NEW LOW! The Living Room is North Point's college ministry. You might be like me and not familiar with Harry Styles, but in 5 min you'll realize NP should not be promoting HS or spending money on his tix.
He is a big pop star that recently went through the celebrity feminization ritual (satanic) dressed as a woman on the cover of vogue.
Many conservatives discussed it including Candace Owen's, Ben Shapiro, and Matt Walsh. The pic with the banana is what the left is calling a clapback at Candace Owen's. He is only getting away with this racist (sexually suggestive) gesture because Owen's is a conservative.
This is all part of the continued attack on God's design. There is an attack on masculinity as the left continues to push the feminization of men and gender fluidity.
