I know I want Sansa to go feral (as is her right at this point holy shit) but I’m not sure that would fulfill the point of her character. I can’t really imagine a world where Sansa’s kindness and amazing ability to forgive those who wronged her doesn’t win out (even begrudgingly so). Like there’s a reason she has so much connection to the Mother.
Gentle Mother, Font of Mercy
Soothe the wrath and tame the fury, teach us all a kinder way
Basically, I just want Cersei, the Hound, and Littlefinger to be wrong.

Twitter is truly the graveyard for media literacy!
If you still hold a grudge against Sansa Stark four years after the end of Game of Thrones, then you need to take a step back and reassess your life. Because even Jorah Mormont ain't that big of a loser!

The fact that Daemon x Rhaenyra parallels with Petyr x Sansa is enough proof for me to know that Daemon is not the right guy for Rhaenyra.
Rhaenyra and Sansa were both underage when these men started grooming them and using them for their own ambitions - Petyr married Sansa to Ramsay Bolton, Daemon tried to sully Rhaenyra so that he would be forced to marry the Heir of the Seven Kingdoms, making him the ultimate candidate for King Consort since no one would want a deflowwmered girl - and these men did this with the knowledge that both of these girls did not know any better, because at the end of the day, to these men, these are dumb little girls who know no better and are easier to coerce to do things, like love and marriage and lust (remember, Daemon liked young virgins in the books - probably because they were more innocent and naive to sleep with him - he also convinced Rhaenyra that he was in love with her by simply taking her to a brothel and kissing her and by giving her gifts occasionally).
Rhaenyra: believes that Daemon loves her because a) he gives her gifts b) he kissed her in a brothel c) he was helping her to strip her clothing so that she could be naked d) he nearly kissed her on her Wedding day in front of her father - if you look at these scenarios, NONE of these seem Romantic - giving someone gifts can be seen as cute and romantic, but it seems like a tactic that kidnappers use to lure children in by showing them candy to make them trust them - and this level of trust that Rhaenyra has towards Daemon is continously shown within Hotd, whilst Rhaenyra has no problems with distrusting Otto and Alicent - all because Daemon groomed her enough to whisper to her that he was her only really ally - and this level of trust from Rhaenyra is simply because she was too sheltered within her life to know whom she can or can't trust, but since she loves Daemon, she naturally believes in his every word.
Sansa: doesn't believe that Petyr loves her because a) she knows about his obvious feelings for her mother b) she feels strange and wrong when Petyr kisses her c) she's been too traumatised to fully believe someone again who's not a Stark - if you look at THESE scenarios, you see that Sansa doesn't believe that Petyr loves her BECAUSE of her trauma, and it's BECAUSE of her trauma to not trust people that she eventually becomes independent of Petyr and gains insight of real manipulation.
Petyr ultimately wants the Iron Throne, as does Daemon, but Petyr can only do so many things before Sansa abandons him as he has no significancein her life other than being the only man who will 'sometimes' help her, whilst Daemon is stuck with Rhaenyra for life because they are family.
The only difference between Sansa and Rhaenyra is that Sansa realised that she was being used whilst Rhaenyra grew an obsession with Daemon, which ultimately didn't help her realise that he was manipulating her - and both of these affect these girls in different ways.
The Conclusion
Show Sansa learns to make people trust her but she herself doesn't trust them unless they're family, and even her family is limited to her trust - basically, she learned to be the MANIPULATOR and not the manipulated.
Book Rhaenyra learns to not trust people, even her family members, as she becomes paranoid and fearful of who she can trust - she doesn't learn how to manipulate people, so she becomes the MANIPULATED.
In further conclusion, don't ship little girls with their groomers, manipulators or abusers. Rhaenyra, Sansa and Alicent deserve better.

The Eyrie is Impregnable
The constant repetition that nobody can take the Eyrie by force is meant to lure us into a false sense of security, it's not foreshadowing a subversion of that statement. We don't worry about the characters living there, because they are inside the safest most secure place in the whole world:
Lysa covered her boy's ear with her hand. "Even if they could bring an army through the mountains and past the Bloody Gate, the Eyrie is impregnable. You saw for yourself. No enemy could ever reach us up here." (AGOT Catelyn VI)
Except that Lysa was murdered by her own husband, who is also slowly poisoning her son. Lysa also assured Sansa that the Eyrie was impregnable and would protect them from Tywin's army if he ever found out about Sansa being there, only to turn around and try to murder Sansa herself a couple of days later. How is a castle supposed to protect you from your enemies if they’re already inside? Most importantly, the Eyrie’s own strategic position also makes it easy to besiege by enemies:
They had no eggs, no more than they had bacon. The Eyrie's granaries held sufficient oats and corn and barley to feed them for a year, but they depended on a bastard girl named Mya Stone to bring fresh foodstuffs up from the valley floor. With the Lords Declarant encamped at the foot of the mountain there was no way for Mya to get through. Lord Belmore, first of the six to reach the Gates, had sent a raven to tell Littlefinger that no more food would go up to the Eyrie until he sent Lord Robert down. It was not quite a siege, not as yet, but it was the next best thing. (AFFC Alayne I)
What use is all that grain if they will die from scurvy first? Scurvy has a mortality rate of approximately 75% after 10 months without any vitamin C, and the terrain up there is rocky so nothing much grows. The author is aware of this fact, that's why he included Davos smuggling onions during the year-long siege of Storm's End. Good thing that Littlefinger has the support of the Lannisters and the Lords Declarent actually care about Sweetrobin’s wellbeing, because they could’ve easily besieged the Eyrie into surrending:
On the valley floor autumn still lingered, warm and golden, but winter had closed around the mountain peaks. They had weathered three snowstorms, and an ice storm that transformed the castle into crystal for a fortnight. The Eyrie might be impregnable, but it would soon be inaccessible as well, and the way down grew more hazardous every day. Most of the castle's servants and soldiers had already made the descent. Only a dozen still lingered up here, to attend Lord Robert. (AFFC Alayne II)
The servants and guards aren't going to risk getting snowbound up there for years and die from starvation or the cold, if the siege had extended they would've rebelled or mass deserted.
As a fortress, the Eyrie is a strategic disaster, but chances are that it’s function is to be an embodiment of the feudal contract, both in universe and out universe. A liege Lord seems untouchable, but in reality he completely depends from his vassals and servants for survival, and has as much power as they grant him. No wonder the Arryn are so focused in honor and maitaining promises, their castle is a constant reminder of their own vulnerability. It’s the perfect place for Sansa to learn how to be a good ruler.

"Maester Colemon cares only for the boy, though. Father and I have larger concerns." A Feast for Crows - Alayne II
Some days ago, someone kindly explained to me the real meaning of this infamous line, being that Petyr and Sansa/Alayne's larger concern was to keep Sweet Robin unconscious so his "weakness" wouldn't show in front of the Vale lords. They were so protective of little Robert that they needed to drug the boy, obviously it was for his own good.
Yep, I learn something new every day. LMAO 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Petition to change the "I'm a slow leaner, it's true, but I learn" sentence, which I hate, for something like "I was young, but I have grown up" or "You tried to train a wolf, you threatened her pack, you shouldn't be surprise when she bit you"
Or something like that but not the first one bc I despite it

i think it’s so funny when people say stuff like “people villainize littlefinger” and “people make tywin a bad guy” bc idk how to tell you that selling an 11 year old to a brothel and slaughtering a bunch of people at dinner is like, a quintessential villain thing to do lmao.
littlefinger is straight up embezzling from the realm and tywin’s line is going to fall specifically because of his mistreatment of his children okay, those dudes are, in fact, bad guys who do bad guy things and that’s why tywin got merked on a toilet by his own son and that’s why littlefinger is gonna get his neck sliced by sansa, brienne, or lsh lol. it’s cuz they’re bad guys!

You can say what you will about Brandon Stark, that he was incredibly reckless and made some terrible choices and that his death was awful, but I will never not respect him for looking at Little finger and says:" you know what,I'm gonna take off the armor to defeat that guy" because it is both such a flex on Littlefinger and because it is so hilarious.
Go off king. He should have gone all the way and killed him for real (we could have it all..)
I would feel sorry for Littlefinger if he wasn't a creep obsessed with Catelyn and if he didn't kiss Brandon's actual niece without her consent so I take my small revenge where I can

What do you think blood oranges generally implied in books? While they are mostly associated with Dorne, they are also mentioned in Sansa chapters twice and once in Cersei.
I'm so sorry for taking so long to answer, anon, I was studying for my finals 😔 Hope the long answer makes up for it!
In Sansa's case the blood oranges seem to foreshadow war and the suffering of innocent people. Before Arya threw the blood orange to Sansa and stained her white dress, they were talking about Ned sending Beric Dondarrion and others to stop Tywin's atrocities:
The Tower of the Hand seemed so empty after they left that Sansa was even pleased to see Arya when she went down to break her fast. "Where is everyone?" her sister wanted to know as she ripped the skin from a blood orange. "Did Father send them to hunt down Jaime Lannister?" Sansa sighed. "They rode with Lord Beric, to behead Ser Gregor Clegane." She turned to Septa Mordane, who was eating porridge with a wooden spoon. "Septa, will Lord Beric spike Ser Gregor's head on his own gate or bring it back here for the king?" She and Jeyne Poole had been arguing over that last night. The septa was horror-struck. "A lady does not discuss such things over her porridge. Where are your courtesies, Sansa? I swear, of late you've been near as bad as your sister." "What did Gregor do?" Arya asked. "He burned down a holdfast and murdered a lot of people, women and children too." Arya screwed up her face in a scowl. "Jaime Lannister murdered Jory and Heward and Wyl, and the Hound murdered Mycah. Somebody should have beheaded them." "It's not the same," Sansa said. "The Hound is Joffrey's sworn shield. Your butcher's boy attacked the prince." "Liar," Arya said. Her hand clenched the blood orange so hard that red juice oozed between her fingers. "Go ahead, call me all the names you want," Sansa said airily. "You won't dare when I'm married to Joffrey. You'll have to bow to me and call me Your Grace." She shrieked as Arya flung the orange across the table. It caught her in the middle of the forehead with a wet squish and plopped down into her lap. "You have juice on your face, Your Grace," Arya said. It was running down her nose and stinging her eyes. Sansa wiped it away with a napkin. When she saw what the fruit in her lap had done to her beautiful ivory silk dress, she shrieked again. "You're horrible," she screamed at her sister. "They should have killed you instead of Lady!"(AGOT Sansa III)
The blood orange appears in a conversation centered around the innocent killed by the Lannisters: the holdfast's people killed by Clegane because Tywin can't solve problems without violence, Jaime throwing a murderous tantrum because he's angry his actions have consequences, Sandor murdering Mycah with sadistic glee and Cersei ordering Lady's death because she's more interested in getting revenge than getting justice. Both sisters get bloody orange juice on them, but while hands and faces can be washed off, the white dress Cersei gifted Sansa is permanently stained. She'll need to dye it black to hide the stain.
The next time they appear, Sansa and Littlefinger are eating fruit while talking about Joffrey's murder:
"Did I say that?" Lord Petyr cut the blood orange in two with his dagger and offered half to Sansa. "The lads are far too treacherous to be part of any such scheme... and Osmund has become especially unreliable since he joined the Kingsguard. That white cloak does things to a man, I find. Even a man like him." He tilted his chin back and squeezed the blood orange, so the juice ran down into his mouth. "I love the juice but I loathe the sticky fingers," he complained, wiping his hands. "Clean hands, Sansa. Whatever you do, make certain your hands are clean." Sansa spooned up some juice from her own orange. "But if it wasn't the Kettleblacks and it wasn't Ser Dontos... you weren't even in the city, and it couldn't have been Tyrion..." (ASOS Sansa VI)
Littlefinger lied about Tyrion being the owner of the dagger, causing a chain of events that ended with Tywin attacking the Riverlands, and then he convinced Joffrey to execute Ned, causing the War of the Five Kings. If the juice symbolizes blood, Littlefinger loving and drinking it is a metaphor to how he benefited from the war and violence, gaining titles and power. The fact that Sansa drinks the juice with a spoon, keeping her hands clean, probably symbolizes that she will benefit from the war without commiting any crimes herself, which makes sense if her endgame is to be the Queen of the North and Riverlands.
The context surrounding the blood orange in Cersei's chapter is a bit different. The scene right before the fruit appears is about Cersei talking to Pycelle, ordering him to make her a potion to help her sleep and have no dreams about Maggy the Frog. She notices the damage that weeks of imprisionment had on him, and also asks him how old he is and lowkey threatens to fire him. As he's leaving, she can't help herself and asks him about prophecies:
"Good. You may go." As he turned toward the door, though, she called him back. "One more thing. What does the Citadel teach concerning prophecy? Can our morrows be foretold?" The old man hesitated. One wrinkled hand groped blindly at his chest, as if to stroke the beard that was not there. "Can our morrows be foretold?" he repeated slowly. "Mayhaps. There are certain spells in the old books... but Your Grace might ask instead, 'Should our morrows be foretold?' And to that I should answer, 'No.' Some doors are best left closed." "See that you close mine as you leave." She should have known that he would give her an answer as useless as he was. The next morning she broke her fast with Tommen. The boy seemed much subdued; ministering to Pate had served its purpose, it would seem. They ate fried eggs, fried bread, bacon, and some blood oranges newly come by ship from Dorne. Her son was attended by his kittens. As she watched the cats frolic about his feet, Cersei felt a little better. No harm will ever come to Tommen whilst I still live. She would kill half the lords in Westeros and all the common people, if that was what it took to keep him safe. "Go with Jocelyn," she told the boy after they had eaten. (AFFC Cersei VIII)
She doesn't tell Pycelle about the prophecy, or gives him any details, so he logically assumes Cersei wants a way to see the future and tries to dissuade her from that. The next day she and Tommen eat blood oranges from Dorne, the country who hates her family and has her daughter hostage. She notices that her son seems sad after she forced him to torture Pate under threat of having Pate mutilated, and then hypocritically thinks about how she would kill half of Westeros' population to keep him safe from harm. Not to mention how Tommen's kittens have been linked to Rhaeny's murder.
Right after breakfast, she calls Qyburn to ask him if Lady Falyse is still alive, but unfortunately she was tortured too much and can't help Cersei fix her political mistakes. She quickly convinces herself that Lady Falyse is better off dead after her beloved husband died. Their conversation quickly becomes about how to stop Maggy's prophecy by murdering Margarey, and how she can't rely on Jaime to kill people for her anymore.
So maybe Cersei and Tommen eating blood oranges just symbolizes how they benefited from war, but the constant references to torture, death and prophecy are very noticeable.
Blood oranges also symbolize parenting fails in the series, which doesn't contradict this post, because Littlefinger is a pedophile grooming his "daughter" and Cersei forced her son to torture another boy when he tried to protect his wife from harm.
