Scott Whump Rec List pt 1

Happy holidays everyone! I know they can be stressful for all of us, so one of my favorite ways to de-stress is to stress out Scott 😈. This first rec list is going to focus on fics that do not have explicit sexual content. Pt 2 will cover those.

Lost Boys Don't Cry by CranApplePye (156K words)

This fic is sort of THE sciles whump fic. It features sciles being taken captive and delicious, delicious whump for both characters. The sciles feels are A++. This is a must-read if you are a sciles fan, Stiles whump fan or Scott whump fan.

Sawdust & Snow by QuickLikeLight (63k words)

While this fic is light on the physical whump, the emotional whump is A++++++. And again the sciles feels are just stellar. This fic takes a look at choices Scott and Stiles may have made post-canon and it's just so good.

It has everything you want in a captive! Scott whump fic PLUS some.

This fic features a Theo trying to figure Scott out, which is always a favorite of mine in sceo fic. But it also features Scott taking on whump he doesn't even need to. Lovely.

I chose those three- but if you are a Scott fan @momentofmemory's fics are not to be missed. Most of them involve some form of physical or emotional whump. And they are all absolutely stunningly crafted. Fantastic works, all!

This is a missing scene style fic for 4x01, which features some of my personal favorite canon Scott whump- electrocution in Araya's house. The way this fic just adds so much depth to that scene is masterful.

This one is more Theo centric than Scott centric, but def features a very healthy amount of half dead Scott for our reading pleasure. And if you want a fic with layer after layer after layer, this is absolutely it. You'll feel like you're going in circles in all of the best ways.

Again a little more Theo centric, but the Scott whump is lovely. And it features captivity, which you will note is something I enjoy v v much. This one is so fun, I love the way it plays out in the end.

If you hadn't realized, captive!Scott fic is my favorite. And this one delivers! It's one of those I've read mutliple times even knowing that it is only one chapter. I regret nothing. It's so delightful.

This scira fic is all about scott and kira getting to cry. It's hurt/comfort but so heavy on the comfort. I love the emotional beats of this fic so much, they def scractch that emotional whump itch.

So wait, wait, wait. When I first read this long ago I thought he was being metaphorical bc the translation I read kinda implied it was a single set of armor/sword and it was a metaphor his new task and it tied in w how he later was like “I don't like being stuffy like warriors are.” and so I thought it was a metaphor on him sensing a pain in the ass task approaching him. But now with this (official, I think?) translation I'm now confused bc... is that armed men behind the curtain? Guards? Were they gonna kill him or something if he refused?????? Help, I'm confused now.

He had a point with these, being loyal to tyrannical lords just spells trouble for everybody else, in a way it's like betraying your own class. (That's why Araya's story in Wolfpack could be interpreted as a metaphor for a lesson: Don't be blindly loyal to a murder-happy tyrannical lord without questioning their and your moral position— rebelling will be hard, yes, but doing good is always worth it. Okay Wolfpack intermission over for now) I can appreciate his callouts here. Maybe this is also a hint of his deeply-buried romanticism.

Kharlan really wanted to convince Saam to their side, and he's rapidly losing his chance here and— look, even his eyes look worried. Yes, I am a Saam/Kharlan shipper, what of it?

Surely, Hilmes must've known of Kharlan's desire to recruit Saam? If that's the case then I wonder why he threw that spearhead through his chest— maybe he expected that the Zahhak mages would be able to patch Saam up just fine. Can't imagine what Kharlan must've been feeling the moment that happened, though. Did he know of the mages?? I think not...

This could be a potentially interesting moment to explore in fic, hmm.

Assumptions, assumptions! And they're being overturned. Remember Kubard thinking “I thought [Arslan] was just a weakling prince but...”? Remember Shaghad assuming Arslan was a puppet prince?

I don't know where I'm going with this, except maybe how it's incredibly satisfying for me to see Arslan overturning these assumptions and proving everybody wrong!

Dunno if you've gotten a question like this before, friend. But if you could do one thing differently in each season of Teen Wolf such as storyline what would they be?

I don't recall a question like this before, either, but it's a great question! I'm sure, after interacting with the fandom for so long, that my answers may have changed from the first time I watched the show.

Season 1: This is a tough one. The writing during this season was very solid and many of the things that I like about the show spring from this foundation. BUT, I would have really appreciated one scene where Stiles defends Scott to someone, whether it be Derek, Peter, Jackson, or even the Sheriff. The writers wanted to demonstrate how strong Scott and Stiles's friendship was by having Stiles be a lovable asshole, but with the way Stiles constantly insults Scott, even to others, ("Still want him in your pack?) and takes abusive actions against Scott (keying the truck, the dog bowl) I would have liked one scene where Stiles explains the good he sees in Scott, other than he's wiling to be Stiles's punching bag.

Season 2: This one is the easiest. The Teen Wolf writers were allergic to having Scott talk about his feelings (to the point that his Party Guessed (2x09) hallucination was the only one of the four with no dialogue), but I wanted him to have at least one monologue. If Stiles got a monologue to explain his feelings to Lydia, Scott should have got one to explain his feelings to Derek in Master Plan (2x12):

Derek: Why didn't you tell me?

Scott: Because when we met you used me as bait for the alpha who killed your sister. Because you could help me, but it wasn't going to come for free. Because you broke my hand and you broke my phone. Because you hated Allison for something she had nothing to do with. Because you might have killed Deaton. Because you sold me out to Peter. Because you lied about the cure. Because you bit the idiot who tried to blackmail me into getting the Bite and then abandoned him, and we see how that turned out. Because you stepped on my neck to prove a point. Because you tried to kill Lydia in my house. Because you got me to bring you Jackson because you had a way to save him, but then decided not to bother. I wasn't going to let Gerard win but I wasn't going to trust you either, because you're not trustworthy. You may be an alpha, but you're not mine.

Season 3A: Surprisingly, this has nothing to do with Scott. Ever notice that we never get any reason why Boyd or Isaac fight for Derek this season? They risk their lives in the mall fight and Kali's assault in Currents (3x07), but there is no reason given explaining why. Why the loyalty? Was it the mystical alpha beta bond? Was Boyd grateful that Derek never stopped looking for them? Was it out of Boyd's feelings of friendship with Cora? Even Isaac's frustratingly undermined rant in Alpha Pact (3x11) -- love how they made sure Isaac could only be mad at Derek with his dying sister constantly in the frame and then Uncle Peter there to explain it away -- didn't address why, after the fiasco of Season 2, they gave two shits about Derek.

Season 3B: I would have scrapped the Danny breaks up with Ethan scene. Danny could have left Beacon Hills with Ethan rather than just vanish into the Hollywood haze, and there could have been a scene where Scott and Isaac talk about Allison, instead of Deaton essentially telling Scott to get over it, 10 seconds of silent crying with his mom, and Isaac never having had a conversation with Scott since Riddled (3x18).

Season 4: Araya Calavera would have cut Peter Hale in half with a chainsaw for the ten people he murdered while Scott is prevented from interfering by Derek, by Argent, and by his pack. Finité.

Season 5A: The only change would be in A Novel Approach (5x05). Instead of the business with the scaffolding, Stiles would have got the drop on Donovan in the library and in a desperate frenzy actually beaten the chimera's head in with the wrench. Still self-defense, still emotionally charged, still the same potential for Theo to rip Scott and Stiles apart, but it would have made Stiles's reluctance to tell anyone more genuine and made the conflict in Lies of Omission (5x09) more valid, since as written all it would have taken for Stiles to destroy Theo's plan was use the word 'scaffolding.'

Season 5B: While Season 1 was difficult because I didn't want to change much of anything, this has the exact opposite problem. If I had to choose just one: get rid of the damn non-healing chest wound. Symbolism be damned, just this once. It would be easy, since no other character gave a frick about it anyway. Instead of being forced by things outside of his control to get the "friends" who lied, betrayed, abandoned, and attempted to murder him back, Scott would work to get them back because he wanted them back.

Season 6A: Instead of Garrett Douglas being there to twirl his non-existent moustache or eating brains just so the writers could keep the pack split up, have him just trying to survive and adapt to this new world after spending 70 years in a test tube. Make the crisis of the season this -- Douglas is the key to getting Stiles back, but doing so would condemn the repentant Nazi to an eternity of Riding the Storm and the Wild Hunt would take all the people they've already taken. That would be a lot more interesting than what we had.

Season 6B: No Anuk-Ite. History shows us that you don't need a supernatural fear creature to turn normal people into a mob. Demonstrate how an evil, selfish monster like Gerard can manipulate normal people like Monroe, Gabe and Nolan into people capable of doing terrible things. Allow Scott a way to break the cycle of violence through direct leadership rather than defeating a particular goal.

MIDWEST METAL: "My first question to you is, go back a little to the release of 1996's "Undisputed Attitude." Did it do what you wanted it to do? Did it do what you expected it to do?" TOM ARAYA: "It did what I expected it to do, which was not a lot (laughs)! We kept a very low profile, we did a very short tour in which we played smaller clubs. It was low key. I mean it was a cover album, we thought if we put it out and the kids are into it, they're into it. Even the shows that we did we did way more SLAYER stuff, not at all many covers, maybe four or five. I knew it wouldn't do very well, people want to hear SLAYER! The real die-hards picked up on it and that was expected. Kerry (King) really wanted to do the record and it actually started out as classic metal songs, stuff like DEEP PURPLE, PRIEST, UFO the bands that influenced us. Pedro Alonso Niño (c. 1455 – c. 1505) was a Spanish explorer. He piloted the Santa María during Christopher Columbus’s first voyage to the Americas in 1492 and accompanied him on his third voyage in 1498 to Trinidad.

He was born in Moguer, Spain he was known as El Negro. His father was Juan Nino, a Spanish sailor, and his mother was an unknown woman. According to the folklore, Juan Nino was one of the captured European sailors in the Ghanaian settlement Elmina. He sired four famous sailor children namely Pedro Alonso, Francisco, Juan, and one other Niño.

He explored the west coast of Africa in his early years and many other places. He guided Columbus and navigated the Atlantic Ocean as he piloted the Santa María during Christopher Columbus’s expedition and accompanied him during his third voyage saw the discovery of Trinidad and the mouths of the Orinoco River. He made preparations to explore the Indies independently, looking for gold and pearls. Empowered by the Council of Castile to seek out new countries, avoiding those already “found” by Columbus, he committed to give 20% of his profits to the Spanish Crown.

In the company of brothers Luis and Cristóbal de la Guerra, respectively a rich merchant and a pilot, he left San Lucas in May 1499, and, after twenty-three days, they arrived at Maracapana. Visiting the islands of Isla Margarita, Coche, and Cubagua, they exchanged objects of little value for a large number of pearls before sailing up the coast to Punta Araya, where they discovered salt mines.

After just two months they were back in Baiona, Spain, loaded with wealth. They were accused of cheating King Ferdinand II out of his portion of the spoils. Arrested, and with his property confiscated, he died before the conclusion of his trial. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

"I do agree a night in is much better. Maybe for a second date a trip to my favorite cafe. And we can have Kolya's cooking for our dinner. As he stated, I can't cook.. I don't know how.. But he's an amazing chef, you won't be disappointed in his cooking. It's like having Gordon Ramsey cooking for you."

Cue Nikolai rubbing the back of his head, blushing at the compliment.

"I don't make out in public. I don't fancy PDA. I prefer to keep my affection inside and in private.. But uh, Kolya is different.. you can make out with him in public and he'll be happy. He loves PDA..." Fyodor on the other hand, did not. But he always let Nikolai do a little bit with him.

"I've met more boring people to be honest. But I would love to hear you sing, if you're willing to. As for being Valentine's, I think it'd be fun. Why don't you join us for the day and we can have some fun? And don't worry, I think there's more to you than just being handsome," Fyodor chuckled with a grin.

TYBli Kadın Yazarlar Sapanca'yı Edebiyatla Fethetti

Adalı Kadın Yazarların 10'u Sapanca Anadolu Lisesinde, 4'ü Nazmiye - Ömer Sözer Ortaokulunda gençlerle bir araya geldi.

Tyb çatısı altında faaliyet gösteren Adalı Kadın Yazarlardan 14'ü, öykü yazarı Arzu Özdemir başkanlığında, deneme yazarı Filiz Toklu, yemek yazarı Gülsen Yıldız, öykü yazarı Nalan Aşkın, araştırmacı yazar Necla Dursun, roman yazarı Neslihan Cebesoy, şair Nursel Camcı, şair Selma Meriç, deneme yazarı Semra İmamoğlu ve şair Yadigar Ataman Sapanca Anadolu Lisesinde, masal yazarları Büşra Koç Özden, Elif Alp, Mine Üye ve Tülay Sayan ise Nazmiye - Ömer Sözer İlk ve Ortaokulunda gençlerle bir araya gelerek edebiyat matinesi gerçekleştirdiler.

Şiirlerin, öykülerin, denemelerin eser sahipleri tarafından seslendirildigi, çocukların masalların coşkusuyla hayal dünyasında dolaştığı her iki etkinlikte, Adalı Kadın Yazarlar, gençlerle buluşmanın mutluluğunu yaşadılar. Adalı Kadın Yazarlar Birligi Başkanı Arzu Özdemir, etkinliğin sonunda, yazarları gençlerle buluşturan Sapanca İlçe Milli Eğitim Müdürü Serkan Korkmaz ile etkinliğe zemin hazırlayan TYB Sakarya Şubesi Başkanı Fahri Tuna'ya çok teşekkür ederken, gençlerin edebiyata büyük ilgi göstermelerinden de büyük mutluluğuk duyduğunu belirtti.
