PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on American horror/hardcore punk band THE MISFITS playing a gig in Denver, CO, at the Mercury Cafe, on September 29, 1982, during their "Evilive" tour. This was reportedly drummer ROBO's fourth show behind the drum set.

The Germs - Punk

The Germs is a punk band from LA, founded in 1977, they were pioneers of the US Punk scene.

The most recognizeable name of the band nowadays is "Pat Smear", the guitarist, who also was in Dave Grohl's band "Foo Fighters"

It's a shame, that many people forgot about this band, so here I am advocating for them!

I personally found out about them through John Frusciante, the guitarist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, since he mentioned them as one of his influences in an interview.

Sadly, the band broke up in 1980, because their singer Darby Crash died.
