not because you hated how your sweat built up because of the sun that shone through your bedroom window, not because your body refuses to get out of bed the moment you open your eyes.

it's because you don't get to see him, staring at you deeply, as you struggle to keep yourself from sleeping in any longer.

zhongli was the man of your dreams. quite unfortunately, you took that phrase too literally.

even more unfortunately, you could only see him when you were most vulnerable– in your sleep.

but, something about your memories with him, makes it feel too real to be just a dream.

could it be the way you felt your heart flutter whenever you saw him? or maybe how the warmth of his touch made it feel like he was really there?

you couldn't put your finger on it.

it wasn't like any other dream, where you woke up feeling like something weird had just happened.

it was like a part of your imagination. something you've imagined so much to the point it felt like a distant memory.

you knew not to worry about it too much. after all, your worries seem to disappear whenever you're with zhongli.
