thinking about the jovial glee of Just This Once, Everybody Lives as the concluding message in Jack’s first appearance in DW vs the slow horror of No One is Dying and the Implications are Fucking Awful in Miracle Day (Torchwood’s last screen story). The way eternal life / life beyond death is repeatedly presented as a curse, one that seems to follow Jack around (Suzie, Owen, the children taken by the 456, Jasmine, Miracle Day). The way that an overarching theme in Nine’s Who was Everything has its Time, Everything Dies, but not in Jack’s debut episodes - in Jack’s debut Just This Once Everybody Lives. Not sure what this means but I’m spinning it around in my head.

The Magister is the Master— though an older version, the one at UNIT in the 70s. Because of something weird going on with time right now, I’m not sure exactly what since it’s not my area of expertise, but I know Time Travel is weird.

I can try to contact them about it, but other than that… we have bigger issues at hand, as horrible as it sounds.
