See. This is my issue. This person is expressing their wishes for a few potential series to come from avatar studios and said they want to see:

Aang as a full grown avatar

Zuko as the fire lord

Sokka as the chief of the SWT

Toph as the 1st metalbending chief

And Katara with her first child (Bumi)

....yal already know what I'm about to point out... now why the hell would you hope for these wonderful storylines for these characters and all you want to see about Katara is her being a MOTHER? They didn't even call Bumi their first child, as in Aang AND Katara's first child, no it's Katara's first child cause Aang's too busy running off being a full grown avatar right??

Actually I know exactly why they only want to see Katara as a 1st time mother, it's bc ppl blindly follow what Bryke had laid out for us to see which is Katara completely losing all of her agency and drive and independence to become nothing more than a mom & a wife and it's sad. Notice how they also mentioned nothing about wanting to see Suki's story which is also Bryke's fault bc she is clearly nonexistent in their eyes even though Toph & Sokka would've both literally died as children if it weren't for her saving them in the final battle.

It's so disappointing to see that even with the bomb ass female representation the show did have, in the end a vast majority of atla's viewers still don't really care about these women's stories and it's all bc the head show creators didn't care about their stories. Then again I shouldn't have been surprised to see this come from an account named world_of_aang

I got a headcanon that's been floating around for a bit in my mind so I need to share it. Anyways, modern atla au where Kya's alive and she's a tiktok mom.

Like she got it just because she knew her kids and their friends (tiktok!Gaang lives rent free in my head) made videos so she wanted to see what the fuss was about. Needless to say she's hooked.

She does all sorts of videos; q&a's, pranking her husbands (bakayada supremecy), singing (specifically sea shanties once people find out she can sing), story times of her time in the navy (that's where she met her husbands), skits, cooking tutorials, makeup tutorials, life hacks, jokes, really anything on tiktok she's probably done, and she's also that woman ready to adopt every child who needs a mother. She's that accepting mom and everyone loves her.

It also confuses the hell out of Sokka since she's only had an account for a few months and is already verified.

I love it how when kat@ang fanatics see Aang criticism on the way he treats Katara whether that be his hiding of the scroll w.
