FE OC Week day 1: Introductions! Today I would very much love to introduce Emyr, my first 3H oc who I made 2 years ago! He's the (illegitimate, kinda) grand prince of Itha; aka Rufus' heir. He's a few years older than Dima and, long story very short: he ran away during the aftermath of the Tragedy for a number of reasons and joined up with Jeralt's Mercs (with his little sister) under the alias "Robyn."

He gets found out in the aftermath of Conand Tower when he protected Dimitri with his mask literally coming off (a mask that I still haven't designed as of yet). He goes back home, almost gets executed by Cornelia as an "accomplice" to Rufus' murder, and becomes the Grand Duke to help hold what's left of Faerghus together.

He later becomes a Griffin Knight and thus has a griffin named Sirin who's been with him since childhood. Emyr has a great respect and fondness for his uncle Lambert, his childhood best friend Glenn, and complicated feelings towards Rufus. Much of his story revolves around how he interacts with the various influences in his life and who he wants to ultimately be as a lord and a person. His mother's family is from the Ruska region and have long connections to Sreng. @fe-oc-week

A lot of his skills start elevated because 1) he's already been to Garreg Mach before and is a mercenary currently and 2) he's meant to be a unit who's immediately usable and on-par with the units you've already been teaching. All of his skill ranks come from friends or family who helped to teach him or previous experiences he's had.

Just a note on the brawling: he's not bad at it, he just avoids it cause he doesn't know if he can always keep his strength in-check. Same reason he avoids Axes, though he also finds those unwieldy.

Was just thinking about this earlier. But if Allan was to be represented by any flower, it would be the edelweiss.

The edelweiss's scientific name means "White Lion's Paw", and its common name is compounded from the German words for "noble" and "white".

It's a short-lived white flower with fuzzy, wool-like petals that grows in cold, rugged mountainous areas. It represents courage, nobility, rugged beauty, hardiness and strength, and is symbolic of purity and dedication. It's also an extremely treasured and valuable flower.

So now consider: given that Itha and Gautier share a border, along the very northern coast they share, such a flower can occasionally be found in the rockier areas. After his passing only perhaps a decade or so after the war, it is decreed Itha's representative flower, and when one visited his memorial to pay respects, it was considered appropriate to bring an edelweiss flower to leave at the small altar. Dimitri personally visits it twice every year - on his birthday, and on his death anniversary, and always brings a specially cultivated full bouquet to lay.

Hey! Quick thoughts about the Bean! (Yes he's on break but he still has his rent-free space in my mind)

So you've mentioned Therapy Dad Rauru is something you want to do with the Bean, and I've been thinking about how Rauru would react to hearing about Rhoam in this canon.

This got me thinking about his English VA, Chris Hackney, and his other roles. One of them was Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd from Fire Emblem Three Houses, who canonically has some ... feelings about villainous royals (major game spoilers in vid, but he basically goes absolutely berserk and declares his intent to violently murder this individual for all they've done).

I'm not saying Rauru should go that far, but if Rhoam ever gets brought up in conversation (Legend recommending necromantic therapy beatings), Rauru can just be like "Ah, yes. The bastard." in exactly the same tone that Zelda uses when discussing him.

I mean.

Yeah. Rauru would 100% bitch slap Rhoam into oblivion with EXTREME prejudice. He LOATHES the guy. Rhoam in this 'verse is a parent so shitty that he messed up not only his own daughter, but also Wild a hundred years later in the space of like ten minutes.

No one understands why, maybe it's a Hresvelg curse for destroying Adrestia?

With time, the Crest of Seiros is known as the Crest of Hresvelg (to Rhea's chagrin) and is now seen, in the Kingdom's folk legends, as a curse that befell humanity when it became too greedy.

AU where it's Papa Martritz's line that is a branch line from the Hresvelg House -

Ionius not managing to roll for crested heirs with his different wives jumped on the occasion to destroy House Martritz (even if it has a heir! in the over, but it exists still!) and put an end to eventual pretenders to the Imperial throne, if his "lady friends" can't give him an adequate crested heir :(

And even if the baby survives, it has a chance of not getting a crest of Seiros, and by virtue of not being a noble born baby, people might believe it's just a random bastard and not a legitimate threat to his dynasty

Somehow, before being turned in a pincushion, lizard!Lycaon befriended Lamine's 9th daughter, who returned North when he "suddenly died" and Hildegard I (who descends from Willy's human children, the ones he got when he had his crest but from human women!) took his succession.

The resulting kid had no pointy ears but was "human passing" enough (only 1/4th Nabatean!), then said kid got kids - sometimes with a crest of Seiros, sometimes with the crest of Lamine - and their kids got kids - and they ended up in Adrestia, becoming Mercie's mom family.

Mercie will notice something strange because her parents recipe (that was influenced by her mom's cooking) always featured putting slices of fruit in the shape of a star on his various cupcakes - but then, those disgusting fruits Flayn, Seteth and even Lady Rhea nibble on occasion, when sliced, look like stars ? Granted, she never tried to eat any since everyone knows they're inedible! She tried to put a slice on a cupcake and ate it, to Annette and Dedue's surprise, she didn't threw up like everyone else, nor collapsed, even if Annette scolded her "Mercie, what are you even doing?! Those things can't be eaten!"

Overhearing Mercie's recipe history, Seteth frowns like never before - Lycaon used to hold hands with a scion of Lamine who joined their side (he told Seiros the Warrior to watch out because he was too young to hold hands, she ignored him, again!).

This will make Billy start to question themselves, if Rhea considered Mother like her daughter, and Mercedes is the child of the child of the child of the child (etc) of Rhea's son, is Mercedes their sort of nephew?

There's a lot going on here! The man on the right is Almanzor, a Blaiddyd Bastard oc (unrecognized son of Rufus Blaiddyd). It must be an early or mid spring day for him and this little family to be so inconsistent with how bundled up they are.

While Al grew up in Fhirdiad, in most post-canon settings he ends up finding his way to Gautier where he meets Peregrine and her daughters, Apolline and Huguette. This would be my justification for why he's so much more swaddled than their lighter clothing.

Peregrine was once a soldier in service to House Gautier, who left with Miklan during the theft of the Lance of Ruin. Widowed during the war, Peregrine grows into a very protective woman with regards to her children and her people. These details inspired the color palette, with Sylvain being so distinctively red and teal (and Faerghal blue).

Almanzor was a paladin during the war, and to his great shame, one of the Fhirdiad soldiers who was ousted during Cornelia's rise to power. Still he fought for the Kingdom, and would have taken pride in reconnecting with Dimitri's forces. These details informed the color of his horse, who I'm tentatively calling Buttercream, and the repurposed blue cords holding the furs around Al's feet, and the yellow fabric of Buttercream's headcollar.

This scene is: They're headed into town, primarily for business related to Peregrine's mercenary company, so Peregrine is trying to look presentable in the bluest thing she owns. Apolline has been allowed to sleep into the late morning, after being awoken early for the journey. Huguette, on Al's shoulders, is asking for something frivolous only available in town, and Al, who knows the answer is no, is telling her to, "Ask your mother." Huguette turns doe eyes on her mother, who is unimpressed (affectionate) with both of them.

I haven't really shown his Three Hopes hairstyle before, so here he is. Yes, it looks like a mane and also echoes Rufus' hairstyle. Yes, it is 100% intentional.

Also I imagine that his Three Hopes iteration has had the time to get some proper coats and tunics fitted for him in the two years timeskip, since he became grand duke immediately after Rufus' execution and Dimitri's coronation. There are other funny things unique to this iteration of Allan because of the fundamental shift in circumstance immediately prior to 1180 since Rufus' role in the story also changes. Him have shrimp on head (the braid).

I'll take some time to talk about that when I don't feel like my body is trying to spontaneously combust.

Aleksei Irek Blaiddyd

Aleksei Irek Blaiddyd is the worst prince the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus could wish for. Born as an adorable child to Dimitri and Ksenia, the moment he entered adolescence he turned into a real monster. He hates his parents (especially Dimitri), he hates Faerghus, he hates good manners, he hates everything around him. Inside him brooded an ever-growing anger, which reached its peak in 1206; the year when, together with the leader of the Black Eagles Hans, he set the Garreg Mach on fire and disappeared.

He would then spend the next eight years in a village in the Hrym Mountains, raise an army of fools by pretending to be a god, and begin a peaceful march to the kingdom to dethrone his father. When Sera, the woman he loved, is killed shortly after the expedition begins, he breaks down completely, becoming a mirror of what his father once was. He is defeated in Fhirdiad after a strenuous duel against Dimitri.

Despite hating everything and everyone, he is very close to his cousin Artemiya, loves sweets, reading, tarots, and fighting. He despises fish.

He was born with the Minor Crest of Blaiddyd, but at his 18th birthday the Major Crest of the Crescent Moon, his mother's, also manifested. He calls it "the plague".

Artemiya Rosenrot Blaiddyd

Artemiya Rosenrot Blaiddyd is a bastard child. Her mother's name is Ekaterina Zelenia Blaiddyd, daughter of Rufus Thierry Blaiddyd. At a young age she was forced to marry a rich merchant by whom she had two children; in 1176 Anatoliy Yakov was born and in 1182 Fridrich Ilya. And seven years later Artemiya was born, but immediately everyone noticed how much she did not resemble Ekaterina's husband; in fact, the child had brown hair and dark eyes, both traits not present in either parent. She was the child of adultery; her mother had cheated on her husband with the man she had fallen in love with so many years before, but whom she was forced to leave because he was a commoner. Both Ekaterina and Artemiya did not suffer any consequences only because of the intervention of Dimitri, who threatened serious repercussions if harm was done to either of them. However, Artemiya lived a life of abuse by both the merchant and Anatoliy, who hated her viscerally. Fridrich was the only one to protect her where their mother could not. All this led her to develop a very closed, submissive and shy personality. She could only feel comfortable with a sword in her hand.

A year after the fire of 1206 she was kidnapped by the Agarthans, who began experimenting on her to awaken the Crest of Blaiddyd. Although she was able to manifest it, a very serious infection threatened to kill her, and to contain it her left arm was amputated. Although she was in serious condition and on the verge of death, once she returned to Itha she was forced to make use of the Major Crest acquired in battle and was put in charge of the Bloody Rose Squadron. It was she herself who halved Aleksei's army at the border between Faerghus and Leicester. The two will not recognize each other. In 1214 Aleksei and Mitja will bury the hatchet and take her to Duscur to Björn, who will forge a prosthetic arm for her. Later Mitja will kill both Ekaterina's husband and Anatoliy.

She wields Areadbhar Γ.

Mitja Leclerc

Mitja Leclerc is a weirdo. He is the eldest and only son of Yuri and Constance; his younger sisters are named Diana and Angelica. Since childhood he always had odd interests, which as he grew up became quite macabre and disturbing. In fact, he has an obsession with death, especially in seeing corpses and entrails, to understand how they work, so he used to improvise autopsies on dead animals he found lying around. He does not like to talk about himself, all he tells is that he traveled a lot together with his father and so learned many things. He enrolled in the Officer's Academy as an undercover agent for Those Who Slither in the Dark for the purpose of collecting the blood of a bearer of the Crest of Blaiddyd, and having Aleksei as his main target he enjoys angering him, hoping in this way to injure him in a fight and get what he needed.

But, because of the fire of 1206 and the disappearance of the prince, the Agarthans opted to kidnap Artemiya because she was predisposed to develop it, so as to take her blood. Mitja's affiliation, however, had always been to be able to destroy Shambhala from the inside, and when they reduced the woman he loved to a mutilated doll, he felt tremendous guilt and, above all, responsibility for all the harm done to her because he had failed in his mission. He will never have the guts to reveal to her his involvement in the whole thing.

His weapon is a magic rifle made by the Agarthans.

Fortuna Beatrice Fraldarius

Fortuna Beatrice Fraldarius doesn't have the guts to show herself for who she really is. The eldest daughter of Annette and Felix, since childhood she has always tried to give a stern, cold and serious appearance, hiding her true self behind an icy, intimidating gaze. In her head she had to act like a machine to be able to be the worthy attendant of the prince, hiding all frivolous thoughts and constantly limiting herself. For this reason Aleksei will come to hate her deeply.

After the fire of 1206 she will spend all her energy in the search for the disappeared prince, determined to find him more than anyone else, driven by the love she had felt for him since childhood. She later becomes Ksenia's personal knight and in 1214 fights on the front lines against Aleksei's army, ending up badly wounded in the back by it, but fortunately the damage was not debilitating.

Fortuna, Aleksei, and Artemiya are childhood friends; the three were always inseparable until Aleksei changed and left Fortuna aside. Her friendship with Artemiya, on the other hand, never ended.

Fun fact: I gave her the timeskip hairstyle in 2019, three years before Three Hopes Annette lol.

Oktavia Ubert

Oktavia Ubert had the potential to be remembered in the centuries to come. Daughter of Ashe and a seamstress from Fhirdiad, she always showed great intelligence, kindness and talent in all her passions. Like her mother she loved making clothes and accessories, she enjoyed reading and also painting, but her biggest talent was in magic. Before going to Garreg Mach she also studied at the Fhirdiad's Royal School of Sorcery, graduating with the highest honors. Despite her kindness and sweetness, what made her stand out was her strong and decisive personality; she was not afraid to speak her mind and would not let anyone step on her feet.

Everything changed after the 1206 fire at the monastery. Although she managed to escape without serious harm, in 1210 she was kidnapped by a group of pirates, taken to Albinea and sold in marriage to a wealthy nobleman. She was able to kill him two years later, escaped from his manor and, cutting her hair to pretend to be a man, sailed on a pirate ship to manage to return to Fódlan. She, Artemiya and Fortuna are best friends. Oktavia hates Aleksei because of his demeanor and doesn't understand why Artemiya likes Mitja so much; she considers him too weird and different from her.

Ragnhildr Azulai

Ragnhildr is a princess of Sreng, sent to the Officer's Academy as a token of peace between Sreng and Faerghus. She has a very calm and quiet personality, pretends not to know the language well but can speak it fluently. She tends to stare at people and has a crush on Eldjárn.

In 1208 her father decides to invade the Gautier territory and she is forced to fight, and in 1211 she will purposely get captured and become a war prisoner.

Eldjárn Mjöllnir Gautier

Eldjárn is the eldest son of Ingrid and Sylvain. He has similar attitudes to his father in his youth and spends most of his time chasing women; he is jealous of his brother because he is more successful while not caring. He does not like to study, but he is very smart and a great tactician. His best friend is a wyvern named Jord.

In 1208 he finds himself having to fight Ragnhildr, and she will injure him in the face in one of their many fights. The two will later form an alliance to stop that futile war, and she will be captured of her own free will.

Mikhail Adam Gautier

Mikhail is the youngest son of Ingrid and Sylvain. He's very quiet, silent, gets lost in books, and it is difficult to rouse him from his concentration. Hating him is impossible because he keeps so much to himself that he is almost unknown even to his own family members. Because of this he fascinates women very much, but he cares nothing about them.

In 1208 he joins his family's army to fight the invasion, but after less than a year he gets tired of fighting and runs away to Brigid to take a vacation of indefinite length. He hates cold and loud noises.

Björn Montero

Björn is originally from Duscur. He is a highly respected artist in his village and a "gentle giant". He always keeps a calm tone and can be intimidating at times, but he is actually extremely kind and always puts forth his immense strength to help others, no matter who or why. He made himself known at the Officer's Academy because he was the only one who could stop Aleksei's outbursts of rage with his bare hands, and if not for him, it would have ended badly for Mitja several times during their violent bickering.

After the fire of 1206 he returned to Duscur and began working as a blacksmith, mostly building works of art with his skills. In 1209 his daughter, whom he named Fatima, was born, and in 1214 he built a prosthesis for Artemiya's left arm.

At the academy he was close friends with Artemiya and Oktavia, and together they spent their free time painting.

this got away from me and i had to share it. post AM head canon ramblings on 'world history'.

dimitri rules a unified fodlan continent for the rest of his life, making plans near his death to restablish leicester and release the adrestian territories as seemed proper given the tireless work made for the restablishment of duscur as an indpendent nation. these plans were ultimantly unfinished by the time of dimitris passing and never enacted by his heir caroline rodrigue blaiddyd due to the 'phoenix flame rebellion' carried out by the remnants of house vestra champioing the 'last son of the hrvelsg' a baby claimed by the vestras to be the last of emperor wilhelms line. the exact nature of the last son was never determined, as by the time the uprising was pacified and the last son located he had been strangled by his own caretakers, but it had lasted long enough and been violent enough to scare caroline away from restablishing the other nations at that time, one of which now lacked any clear line of succession. Well such a tragedy would have been a permenant smear it remained only a black mark on an otherwise illustrious reign, caroline in particular doing much to further sreng relations culimating in the marriage of carloine to the leading sreng chieftan and the unification of the two countries. For 200 years fodlan would be unified under the 'house of the saviour king', before ultimantly fracturing during the war of ten lions due to kirkard the bastards many extra marital affairs. The victor of the war of ten lions would be queen alexandri the wise, who assessing the situation of the time saw it right to restablish the nations of leicester and adrestia. well initially the plan was to return to the old borders, the passing centuries had seen much change in the regions with faerghuses borders extending past the ohgma mountains as houses such as daphnel and other border states chose to stay with what had worked so well for them. on the other hand the myridian bridge now rested firmly in leicester territory and much of the once bergleiz county now passed to them further increasing their wealth.

what remained of adrestia was a rump state held together by the spirit of past glory in its illustrious history and support from queen alexandri. However king cullin the foolish, the pampered son of queen alexandri the wise, would haphazardly pull his support from the adrestian rump state resulting in his coup de grace at the hands of his sister perrin the gentle who formly established the faerghus parlimentary house, a semi informal institution that had existed since dimitris time, and expanded its powers to act as a check on her and any future rulers desicions. the damage had been done however and the adrestian rump state broke apart seeing the offical end of the adrestian nation. the wars of rebirth would follow in the southern end of the continent, though fought over the course of a century it was a light affair more so marked by its diplomatic negotiations with only small skirmishes or fighting. the only major battle of the wars would be fought appropreitly at grondor as the bergleiz republic sought to reclaim historical land by force from leicester after slow negotiations. the bergleiz republic would triumph and rename itself into the grondor republic being one of the three nations birthed from adrestias death. the others would be the mach alliance, intitially calling itself the new adrestian empire due to holding enbarr before disastorous defeats at the arimid river lost it prestige, and the nuvelle kingdom, centered on the prosperous and advanced nuevelle territory in the north of the former adrestian lands. around this time a small nation in the ohgma mountains centered around garreg mach would also be formed and granted offical faerghus protection to ensure its sovreignty.

in 1735 the ruling dynasty of the time, the last king of the galspard dynasty, would pass without leaving an offical heir instead indicating in his will that he intended to let authority over the nation pass fully to the parlimentary house, but this was contested by a number of noble houses who considered themselves either in line through less offical connections or outright declared themselves more suited to the throne. a brutal civil war would be fought over the matter, the war of the house due to the matter of the parlimentary house being a key issue in the matter, ending in 1756 with the ascent of the anshaltz dynasty who immediantly abolished parliment and brought sweeping overreach in the thrones power something that had become unheard of in the over 500 years of rule since the saviour kings time due to such tyranny being seen as antithetical to the values of the nation. thus the anshaltz dynasty would be a relatively brief one, only lasting over a period of 15 years before being deposed by revolutionary forces. intially those revolutionaries only sought to restablish the parlimentary house, but became stalled as no new line of succession could be figured out that pleased the various parties involved. the matter was further complicated when harlton anshaltz the deposed ruler fled to leicester seeking refuge and aid in manpower to retake his throne a matter accomplished thanks to rampent corruption going through leicester at the time. the revolutionary wars would last 50 years and spread like wildfire across the continent of fodlan, harlton being chased out of faerghus on numerous ocassions, radical revolutionary forces abolishing the faerghus monarchy altogether to form a radical democratic republic, the revolutionaries being deposed themselves after the brutal 'bloodening' replaced with a 'parlimentary dicatorship', and the rise of emperor louise danton of the faerghus empire a common born soldier who had soared through the ranks in proud faerghus martial tradition of the time to earn a knighthood with the parlimentary dicatorship before rising to become the 'dicator for life' and pivoting on that to declare himself emperor. louise danton would prove himself to be a master of war bringing the continent of fodlan under one banner for the first time in centuries in only a year and managing to bloody the almyran empire enough that it finally shattered into warring states as years of tightly held preassure in its society burst apart all at once. louise would finally reach the limit of his capabilities however as a disastorous attempted incursion into the dadgan continent permenantly crippled the emperors army and he fought a slow losing retreat over the next decade. louise would be forever remembered as a brilliant general and tactician, and even many of his domestic policies would be praised for their innovation at the time, but at the ever fateful grondor field louise would be bested and captured, being permenantly exiled to the remote island of saint marianne so as to never disrupt peace again his empire lasting only 24 years.

his legacy in many ways would endure however, democratic sentiments had been spread if unintentionally in his wake, faerghus would permentantly form itself into a democratic republic and many other nations would form democracies of their own. the ever eternal almyran empire had been broken in his wake, and well it would reform into the almyran federation such a shift would have permenant world wide ripple effects. thus began the age of revolution as democratic sentiments and technological leaps became abundent and widespread in a way never before seen in the world, though with these changes came more conflicts and battles. the last war of the age of revolution would be the dadgan affair in 1926 to 1931 and would widely be considered the most brutal war in history to that point due to the technologies applied and the total war footing adopted, eventually dragging numerous nations across the world into its jaws. the dadgan affair would serve as a warning as to why modern war should be avoided which would lead into the age of peace as technology further evolved and prosperity reigned in a growingly interconnected world.
