Finally shampooing my brain by catching up my Blindspot rewatch (I'm gonna reblog a handful of things from early s4 later to round out the episode I was cataloging and then I'm skippin ahead to join y'all tomoz) but like hot damn the difference between s1 Reade all by the book all "How dare you all why is Jane here just bcuz she used to be your friend this is against protocol it's against my programming this is highly unusual" like he's the team's smack-talking C-3PO vs mid-s4 Reade all "Fuck you Natasha Zapata, former workplace proximity associate, how dare you not break every single rule and defy direct orders and read me in on your above top-secret ultra-compartmentalized op. I thought we were FRIENDS."

FALL TV SPOILERS-TVLine (Blindspot)
BLINDSPOT
Season 4 will kick off with a three-month time jump, at which point “Remi is still Remi” and “kind of undercover at the FBI,” according to series creator Martin Gero. As Remi realizes that most of her allies are dead and Sandstorm has essentially been dismantled, “she’s kind of a lost soldier in a war that is over… and she’s trying to figure out, ‘Well, what’s the plan now?'” To that end, viewers will meet for the first time “an old Sandstorm ally” with whom Remi makes contact in the premiere. Meanwhile, the FBI team — sans Weller, who for several episodes will be recovering from his near-fatal gunshot wound — will be busy deciphering the “critically important” data drive that Roman left Jane before he died. “There are 12 [drives] in total, and it’s really a huge priority for them to find them,” Gero hints. “There’s an insane amount of information about what Roman was up to… and there’s information on ZIP poisoning, which Remi is obviously very interested in.”
BONUS SPOILER!: Patterson and Rich Dotcom (whose portrayer, Ennis Esmer, was promoted to series regular) have “this phenomenal, almost-season-long story about something they find on Roman’s cache that they’re very interested in,” Gero teases. “But they don’t want to bring the team in on it right away.”
RETURN DATE: Friday, Oct. 12 at 8/7c (NBC)

Lucifer season 6 thoughts:
I feel better than expected. I finished Lucifer s6. My fav season, My ranking: s6, s4, s2, s1 s5 s3. I hope down the road there will be more even thou Netflix never gives movies or spin-offs to series I care about. There are chances Tom & Lauren may not come back. Tom said he would be open to it but he had a hard time accepting the contract for s6 so who knows…. Lauren said she thinks the story of her character is done and she does not think a spin-off about Chloe can be made and I agree. Who knows? Maybe she still can make an appearance. <spoiler> I would be fine even if Rory mentions Deckerstar. I am OK they did not get married. Their souls may still can get married. Question one: Why does Chloe wear Lilith's ring when she appears in Heaven? Question two: does Chloe still have the necklace after ep 8? I am glad it's stated she wears it often even if we do not see it. I hope she does even after Rory's birth and on.I hope Amenediel tells Chloe how Lucifer is doing while he is away. I am glad the producers said Lucifer checks on his family from time to time. Question three: Where is Linda in the future? Who is the Linda Martin in jail? My theory is Linda may left her job or she wrote a new book under a pseudonym. I wish to see more of Trixie and get to find out if she is mad at Lucifer for leaving. I adore Maze trained Trixie, I want her to keep doing that and may ease her anger toward Lucifer if she is really bitter. I wanna see Trixie, Charlie and Rory interact. I was over the moon when Maze and Eve had the Romeo & Juliet balcony scene, amazing! I wanna see their honeymoon and their future. Maze is my favorite character. I care like a demon.  I wanna buy Ella's t-shirt. Her development had me surprised. I love it. I knew Rory's wings shape came from Chloe's temper & her job, so good! I wanna know why Chloe was busy sometimes like Rory stated. I wanna see who teaches Rory to fly and who she gets to fall for. I want to know if Rory gets to meet Deckerstar again. I love the actress who plays Rory,  I first saw her on Blindspot. Many tears have fallen from my eyes during season 6 and I hope to rewatch the show very often. My top series on Netflix. Glad the interviews addressed where Trixie was in the final moments.
Networks should take notes about that Bones cyber spin-off :D I wanna see it come to life!

(TMA SPOILERS) A theory on how this all will end
(SPOILERS FOR ALL OF THE MAGNUS ARCHIVES BUT ESPECIALLY S4 AND 5)
I think that it’s pretty obvious that either Jon or Martin (or both) will die at the end, just based on how this sort of story generally goes, and also with how Jonathan Sims is writing it.
I have a proposal for how that might happen story-wise
SO
After the gang reunites and goes to kick Elias’ ass, Jon and Martin go together to actually confront him in person and they start throwing psychic hands. During the “Ceaseless-Watcher-Eldritch-Monster-Hella-Powerful” fueled fight, Jon dies and we have the tearful heartbreaking death scene I’m just PRAYING doesn’t happen because I just want all of the characters (except Elias) to be safe and happy.
And then
AND THEN
Martin becomes the Archivist through some kind of magic thing (I don’t have anything more specific than that) and then he uses that to finish off Elias- with the help of Melanie- and then works with the Eye to keep the Institute around without becoming Jonah Magnus’ stand-in. He can still just be Martin, but with the Archivist’s powers.
Here’s why that would work:
-Martin has had encounters with some of the Big Bad 14 in ways that fit the requirements listed in 160 (he has the employment contract for the Eye, Jane Prentiss stalked him, he’s gone through Michael’s doors, he spent quite a bit of time with Not-Sasha, all of Season 4 with Peter Lucas culminating with spending time in the Lonely, Annabelle keeps calling him, Daisy threatened him while she was doing the Hunt stuff)
-He’s encountering the ones that he hasn’t encountered while doing his tour of Scotland with Joon. Because he’s with Jon he isn’t under any true threat, but so far he has been scared of them enough that I’m counting it
-He has read several statements over the course of the first four seasons. Not as much as Jon, but enough that I think he could very well get on the path that Jon went on pretty easily if he read a few more.
-There can be multiple avatars of a single entity even though there’s the main one (e.g. Agnes being the main one for the Lightless Flame but Jude Perry is one, Jon and Elias are both Avatars of the Beholding at this point)
-In the S4 Q&A, Jonathan Sims said that he believes that in order to become an Avatar, there needs to be a major sacrifice of some kind but not necessarily a death. Jon dying could count as that sacrifice, but Martin could also make that sacrifice by using the Archivist’s abilities to take down Elias. I know that in the last episode he’s been “Yes murder”, but deciding to finish off the avatar for an eldritch monster in order to save the world is very different than what Jon did to Not-Sasha
-Martin is just as willing as Jon is to put himself in a whole bunch of danger to save others, as evidenced by all of S4
-I’m pretty sure that the Eye wouldn’t want a third Archivist death after it just got control over the whole world. Especially if it’s Elias being rash and pissed off because Jon just died. This is mainly supposition, but I don’t think that the Beholding is one for too much heat-of-the-moment acts of violence.
-Martin doesn’t give a fuck about the 14. He just doesn’t. He doesn’t care about them and just wants to do what’s right, and having that attitude while trying to save the world is the best way to achieve that.
-Melanie is blind. What better way to overthrow the rule of an all-seeing Eldritch overlord than using its sight against it, and using its literal blindspot against it?
-Thematically, I don’t think there’s any way for Jon to actually survive the Ceaseless Watcher being defeated. He’s just too far gone.
-Elias should be taken down by the people he hurt via “implanting things in your head to emotionally scar you and keep you in line” because CATHARTIC JUSTICE
-Helen became Helen when Michael’s personal agenda got in the way of what the Distortion actually does. The same could happen with the Eye and Elias, since Elias has admitted that he’s sometimes acted rashly out of personal feelings and I’m sure that if Elias kills Jon then tries going after Martin, it would get sick of the centuries of putting up with Jonah Magnus and just get rid of him
Feel free to add anything!

Random VN Thoughts pt. 3
Spoilers for Bat S4
Based on MC's conversation with Paris, Juliette's parents know she has powers—"perfect, powerful Juliette". IIRC, Juliette also mentioned accidentally using them at a family dinner once, so her whole family *should* be aware of what they are.
Unless they're absolute morons (it's possible, considering they seem to have a Juliette-sized blindspot), Juliette's parents know she's Bat.
Juliette might have only used her lasers in the more recent "public" fights, but Jack mentioned knowing about the Syndicate's stealthier ops as well—which means it's possible they have some sort of record of Bat pre-pew pew.
So why are they acting like they don't know?
My best (and very hopeful) guess? They're doing the same thing Juliette is—only under deeper cover.
Theory:
Jack and Eleanor withdrew from day-to-day operations to focus on a special project, and when they returned, Optimus was no longer under their control. On paper? Sure. In reality?
A few years is plenty of time for a couple of higher ups (Kirk Steele, Karma, etc.) to replace upper management with people more loyal to them than the company/Optimas.
Jack and Eleanor noticed right away, of course—Juliette mentions growing up with heavy family politics—they're not amateurs. At the same time, they're aware they don't have the resources to (quietly) take the company back, so they're playing dumb. For now.
They originally kept their distance from Juliette to protect her from being dragged in, but when they realized she was already involved (as Bat) they decided to reconnect. They're doing it slowly, though—they trust their daughter, but do they trust that her fiancee isn't an Optimus plant? They met at work, after all.
So all the probing questions *were* an attempt to figure out where MC's loyalties lie, just not the way it appears on the surface. The "death match" was an excuse for them to see if their daughter's TK fiancee is also the TK supervillain on their daughter's team.
Why let the android get so close to hurting MC? A few possibilities:
They're dumb power nerds and wanted to see what would happen
It could have revealed if MC was an Optimus plant—if she had android controls, or if someone remotely disabled the android to save her
They're power elitists and wanted to make sure their daughter's fiancee is up to snuff
They had failsafes in place in case MC was a scrub
Anyways, come back in a week to laugh at how off my guesses are.

SPN 15X04 Atomic Monsters: Notes
Episode Summary (via IMDB): Sam and Dean investigate the mysterious death of a girl and the disappearance of another.
Written By: Davy Perez
Directed By: Jensen Ackles
Tagging: @thegalwhorants @emblue-sparks @metafest @verobatto-angelxhunter @evvvissticante @sudo-apt-get-destiel @wildligia @mishka-the-angel-of-saturday @stopmakingfaces (peeps put in bold are those tumblr won’t let me tag. It’s tumblr, what else is new?)
Spoilers below the cut:
Pre-Episode Thoughts:
A bit late, I know, but there's some things I wanna think out before going into this episode, that will affect my mood while watching.
1) This will be a Cas-less episode, and I have no idea when he will return. At least this time Cas will have left on his own terms, so maybe his absence will have a different feel to it, but I still strongly dislike episodes when he's gone. There truly feels like there's a void in the show, in the characters' interpersonal dynamics, without Cas there.
2) The tone of this episode. Sam and Dean investigate cheerleader deaths at Beaverdale, what hi-jinks will ensue? It could be a vintage bait-and-switch by Davy Perez, with us going "It's another MotW episode...? In the midst of a Destiel break-up? And an episode that's weirdly upbeat and cheery?" And that throws me off, quite a bit, especially considering this was the first episode filmed this season, as it's directed by Jensen Ackles. Was Jensen given a more light-hearted script as his final directorial episode for SPN? Or, is this actually going to be a heavy episode in disguise, to throw off the crowd who just want the show to be Sam&Dean against the world? Kinda like 13X05... (Yockey wrote that episode, but Perez was, according to IMDB, an executive story editor)
3) It's Davy, so I expect good things, and PR isn't showrunning, but I'm always cautious with Cas-less episodes. The Cas gap in S13, starting at the midseason finale, was especially frustrating (and set up by Buckleming, so that explains the quality). This is Davy, I need to have good vibes.
Episode Thoughts:
- We begin at the Bunker, lights red, Dean kicking some Demon ass. Looks like it's part of Sam's vision from 15X01.
- Benny? Not that Benny? (It is, played by Ty Olsson)
- Dean's looking for someone. Probably Sam.
- Namedropping Sioux Falls, Bobby and Jody, murdering people? Sam taking Demon blood, killing Dean. All a dream, just a dream? A premonition?
- So far, the episode's very heavy. Dean mentions Jack, Rowena, but not Cas. The absence of Cas' name, or even Sam bringing him up, at least not yet, we're meant to notice.
- Sam insisting Dean work the case alone. Even the Bros-only, Monster of the Week episode is muted.
- The girl who's dead, Susie, had a best friend named Veronica. Another of the students then comments how Veronica is mourning, 'Like a piece of my heart is gone'. So, best friends, maybe something more, separated by death, in the first episode since the Destiel breakup? Nothing queer here.
- Dean's day-drinking. When's the last time he's done that? S13 grief-arc?
- Becky married? With kids? Eeeeew, Chuck's stalking her.
- Becky talks about how she turned her dark obsession into something, unbelievably, healthy. She actually feels shame for the stuff she did to Sam in S7.
- Looks like Billy, Susie's friend, is a part of a Vampire nest. Or, is it just the Dad? But, the Mom looks like she's in charge. I don't know if the Dad would do anything without her approval.
- As a result of Becky's pep-talk, Chuck begins to write, again.
- Sam and Dean show up at Billy's place, confronting the Dad. I still think the Mom's involved, but I'm not sure about Billy, himself.
- Maybe Billy's the Vampire, and he doesn't want to hurt anyone. But, his parents are getting him the blood he needs, without his asking.
- Becky critiquing Chuck's work, especially the part where 'there's no mention of Cas'. The ultimate Bronly and Wincest shipper is really a Cas fan, a TFW fan. I know, I saw the Funko Pops on the mantle.
- Billy's a Jack mirror. "I killed someone I loved". Billy to Susie, Jack to Mary. And, in an episode with Benny, a Vampire with a heart of gold, who befriended Dean, and was killed by Dean, and Dean's now gotta kill Billy.
- (Speculation) Sam's visions are actually Chuck's ideas for an ending. That's it, Chuck's been wavering on an ending, and his ideas are leaking to Sam. Now that Chuck's certain of the ending, regardless of the destination, maybe Sam's visions will get more frequent, detailed.
- So, still no mention of Cas (on Chuck's end). Maybe like in S4 with Lilith, Cas will be a dark horse, coming from Chuck's blindspot.
- Now, the Sam and Dean Funko Pops are on the desk with Chuck, as he continues to write.
Post episode thoughts:
-Billy was executed by Dean, while Sam stood in the background, as Billy was on his knees. Hell, Billy's Dad, now that I think about it, was a Cas mirror: willing to take the blame for his son's actions. The imagery of the Mom holding Sam and Dean at gunpoint makes me think of Dean to Jack (Or Dean in general). There's also the Mom's need for day-drinking, paralleled with Dean's.
-Earlier in the episode, during Sam's dream, when Dean says Sam went to Sioux Falls and did something bad to Bobby and Jody, does he mean AU!Bobby? Why would that Bobby be in Sioux Falls in the first place, everyone outside of the Wayward crew thinks he’s dead. Would Jody have called in backup, and AU!Bobby would’ve gotten killed along with her?
-Sam and Dean confronted Veronica, and there's an emphasis on Dean calling out Veronica's eulogy for Susie. As I stated earlier, Veronica and Susie being mirrors for Dean and Cas. Dean, who's spent the whole of 15X04 trying to cheer-up a distressed Sam, while being the living embodiment of the "This is Fine" meme. Dean, who then tries to invalidate Veronica's grief, believing she's putting on an act, because that's exactly what Dean's doing, now.
Those are my thoughts for this week’s episode! This was a really meaty episode, one I’m sure Dean could get behind (Bless you, Davy).
If you like my stuff, and want to be tagged in future notes/metas, let me know!

Blindspot!
Spoiler warning, s4 episode 9.
This show doesn't feature DID, but it does involve a drug that induces amnesia/memory barriers, and has caused the main character to develop your standard TV "multiple personalities" problems. This week shit gets trippy in their headspace, which is created as a result of another drug.
The good: the scenes with the girls and their little, especially the confrontation with their mother, was BEAUTIFULLY written. My feels hurt, in a good way.
The bad: her brain scans imply that one personality wins. I really want the science to imply integration, not "the good alter wins", yano?

Season 4 anxiety
The more I read the posted articles and spoilers about Blindspot s4, the more anxious I get. Now they’re using Remi’s first name and last in conjunction with Jane Doe ( at least in the article @kathyharnett posted) and that scares the shit out of me. Then MG saying Remi will in the picture for quite the long while....
I’m worried sick for the Grumpchkin.
I’m worried for Jane as she wrestles control from Remi/ comes to term with who that side of her is and what she has done.
and
I’m worried for Jeller and their future.
*retreats to a dark corner and cries*

25 - Remi for the ask game? 🙂
Yay yay yay thank you thank you!!! (and of course you go for the hard if most appropriate one!!!)
25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?
First impression is really hard for me to quantify, given that she was revealed to us in little drips and drabs, and mostly through the lens of her relationships with just a few people. I suppose through what little we saw in seasons 1-2 I saw her as a slightly tragic badass. I was already reading fanfic before I finished the series (I was stretching it out, didn't want it to end!! T_T) and so I think my enduring impression of her is undoubtedly shaped by your Damaged Goods series and @idealisticrealism's From the Ashes/Into Flames. I don't think I could possibly describe her or my ongoing impressions of her in any way that comes even remotely close to your labours of love, except to say that I love her, too.
(Everyone go read those damn fics I can't shut up about them I am wayyyyyy overdue for a rearead)

9, 10, 12 and 14 for Zapata
Woo woo woo more Zapata! :D
9. Could you be roommates with this character?
It might work out haha. Iirc it was implied when she was staying with Reade that she is not so tidy, and neither am I (although I draw a big distinction between "clean" and "tidy" - I do keep things clean beneath the clutter). So at least in that sense we wouldn't drive each other up the wall. However I think we're both fairly stubborn and while easygoing about many things, when we do have an opinion I think it is An Opinion, so there is a good potential for some butting of heads lol
10. Could you be best friends with this character?
I'm not sure about that. Beyond being untidy and stubborn I don't think we have a ton in common. We like different sports, very different professional interests and expertise, etc. None of that is deal breakers for a friendship, so it's possible. But I think it would only happen if we were forced to spend enough time, maybe by a mutual friend or some project or other circumstance, to get past the initial "I don't know how to make small talk with you" phase and into appreciating each other's actual personality, values etc.
12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?
Um so, my brain is about as robust as wet spaghetti recently. I spent a few hours mulling this in the background and I am 97% sure I had an interesting headcanon for Zapata (I think around season 3ish?), but hell if I can remember what it was right now. 😅 If I remember it or think of a different one, I'll reblog again lol
14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.
I will be honest I know very little about fashion. She dressed well and wore it well, at least once she joined CIA. Maybe we could call it, business chic? In seasons 1 and 2 she and Jane were both a little more on the sporty side, weren't they? But that was cool for them, too. Very different show after season 2. Professionals instead of rookies.
Send me asks!

4. Zapata
4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in?
Oooooh! This is a fun one!!! Two options:
A movie. Zapata always had a hard edge to her, and the CIA sharpened her. I could see a feature-length film set between when she left the FBI and when Keaton sent her to Blake Crawford's gala, to explore what made her so much rougher and what made Keaton think she would be "perfect" for such a dark, dangerous, highly compartmentalized op that's so completely outside the lines of anything she would have considered before.
The other is a Tasha Zapata PI series. @guadalajara92 already gave us an AMAZING trailer/edit for what that might look like.* (Maybe a limited series though, because I wouldn't want them to turn it into another run-of-the-mill procedural... and maybe not NBC. xD Somewhere it could be as dark and gritty as it, and Tasha, deserve. 💕) *if anyone's reading this who hasn't finished the series and looking to be surprised at the end, maybe hold off on watching that trailer, it draws from the series finale.
Send me asks!
