This 1943 painting by Laura Knight (1877-1970) depicts 21-year-old Ruby Loftus (2921-2004) working at an industrial lathe cutting the screw of a breech-ring for a Bofors anti-aircraft gun. Ruby became an expert in the production of breech-rings in just seven months – something that usually took years. After the war, Ruby and her husband John Green emigrated to Canada and she never worked in a factory or engineering again.

Quote: "A batch of Lithuanian-sent L-70 anti-aircraft guns and ammunition, which will help defend critical infrastructure, have already arrived to Ukraine."
P.S.  Bofors 40 mm Automatic Gun L/70 is quite efficient against different  subsonic air targets, including drones used by Russian invaders...

Oh yes it's that dragonborn woman on the council whose name I never remember. Like I read it every time and it immediately leaves my mind. Don't tell me, I'll look it up and forget it again.

Morris-Commercial C9/B Self-Propelled 40mm Bofors in 1944. Despite the large number built, there is not the amount of literature and information regarding them as one would expect, as the author of the Tank Encyclopedia article on this vehicle laments.

So @thealmightyemprex once gave to me OCs that she wasn't using anymore, but didn't want to simply throw away.
Over time, there were I created OCs who came and took space from the ones I created before.
So after this experience with my friend, I had this idea: OC exchange.
I give you an OC I don’t use anymore, of your choosing, and in return I choose an OC you for some reason doesn't use anymore or has dificulty developing.
This is the list of OCs I am giving:
Grace (Hornblower)
Nettie (Hornblower)
Maina (The Terror)
Rebecca Rosenfeld (Nicholas and Alexandra)
Olivia Timmerman (The Bofors Gun)
Lenora (Shakespeare's War of the Roses tetralogy)

"Some of Exhibits on Display At Arms Production Show," Windsor Star. October 20, 1943. Page 5. ---- BUCKLES and hardware for servicemen's uniforms are turned out at the rate of one complete unit every 20 seconds by the Backstay Standard Company, Limited, of Windsor, whose exhibit at the Windsor War Production Show is one of the most attractive. Above, nine-year-old Billy Coulter of 793 Devonshire road stands beside the figure of a soldier.
LITTLE BARBARA BULLARD, 10, of 277 Curry avenue, stands beside the rubber-tired wheel of a Lancaster bomber, part of the Kelsey Wheel Company exhibit at the Arena show. The huge wheel weighs 960 pounds with tire. This exhibit is attracting a great deal of attention at the show which continues throughout the week.
THIS BOFORS anti-aicraft gun, with crew, is one of the highlights of the outdoor exhibit at the Windsor War Production Show. The crew is a Reserve Army squad from the 26th L.A.A. Battery of the R.C.A. The boys are from the Watford and Forest district.
MISS LORETTA MITCHELL, attendant at the exhibit of John Wyeth and Brother (Canada) Limited, tells interested spectators about the uses for the sulfa drugs which this company sends in great quantities to the Allies. A complete line of the various aids to the fighting man from a medicinal standpoint, are offered sightseers in this interesting exhibit,
