sæblum liselotte weyer-sulzbach, the adopted daughter of one isolde sulzbach and her spouse, jannik weyer (another oceanic shapeshifter, an orca), grew up in the faroe islands. an oceanic shapeshifter herself, sæblum can take the form of a common dolphin. in 1946, at age 19, sæblum left home for higher education in brighton. her skills in mathematics and love for science led her into the field of physics, and in the 1950s she left europe altogether. now, she's adjusting to life in the united states, and is determined to forge a spot in scientific academia, no matter what.
