------------ FLESVAZEN van Foekje Fleur.
Gepigmenteerd vloeibaar porselein wordt in de mallen gegoten, waardoor een laag overblijft die de vorm vormt. Na het drogen wordt de binnenkant van de fles loodvrij geglazuurd en op 1300 C gebakken. Al dit handwerk wordt gedaan door ambachtslieden, dus geen van de flessen is precies hetzelfde.
Stylingtip: Mooi om meerdere flessen te combineren met kleurrijke bloemen erin!

Pigmented liquid porcelain is poured into the molds, leaving a layer that forms the shape. After drying, the inside of the bottle is glazed lead-free and baked at 1300 C. All this handicraft is done by artisans, so none of the bottles are exactly the same.
Styling tip: Nice to combine several bottles with colorful flowers in them!

Bottle vase with limpet decoration. This Vase is a practice piece to inform part of a range I am producing for the @theleachpottery The work being made explores materials I have gathered during trips to St Ives and the surrounding area. The glaze on this pot has been made with clay I dug from the cliffs at Godrevy head and silt from the red river mouth there. The form of the pot is based on a discarded Buoy I found and the limpet shells that I used to make moulds for the decoration were gathered by my son Wilf along the shore line at Hayle. The clay body is from Dobles clay pits just a little further up the coast at St Agnes I have been working on this glaze for the last couple of months and it’s finally starting to come good. It’s a clay heavy ash glaze as I wanted the clay and the silt to be the focus and the ash to take a back seat. The glaze has lovely milky flecks and sections close to a creamy Nuka as it gets thinner but the ash retains the fluidity and pooling. The glaze breaks to a golden brown toast on the proud details which is contrasted well by the milky tones surrounding them. Another shell bottle vase that will be on its way to the @theleachpottery again made with the same ‘homemade’ glaze as before using materials gathered from Cornwall, however this one has a much thinner glaze application which gives a wider variation of colours (Greens, milky beiges through to toasted browns) and tends to be more of a matte finish.
