Beautiful deadly Sirius who’s one of the biggest predators in any room (only rivaled by his family because it’s important to me that a) they’re all beautiful and b) that Sirius is the subtle predator while his relatives are the flashy and blatant kind), and he’s found out how to hide it, masking it so that he seems like nothing other than a rich kid. He seems harmless, beauty with nothing going on under the surface, but he’s brilliant and powerful and ruthless.

exactly!!! he’s the real brains of the family and everyone within the blacks knows that. they treat him like an ace up their sleeve, and sure, does that kind of mercenary behaviour grate on him? sometimes. but he’s used to it. more importantly, though, you can see these dynamics if you put them in the same room. not everyone, of course, bc like u said, everyone else is flashy and loud and more in-your-face whereas sirius prefers to silent watch. but if you’re smart, and observant, and intuitive (like fleamont) you’ll slowly realise who the room defers to, who they turn to for crisis, and whose eyes flash the deadliest when they’re unhappy.

might be worth noting that tubbo got lore today because he made it canon he warped back from the boat.

i think this was confusing bc he wasn't sure initially how to play it (he is not a lore guy by trade we all know this), and waffled back and forth with it (with fun bits like "it's tuesday" or "it's a time rift"), but he definitely did make it canon.

he has the story: the boat didn't leave, he had his warpstone. he knew they would just steal him back, like they did the first time.

he has the reason: he desperately needed to see sunny before he left; couldn't sit idly by

and he made it clear that's what he wants to have happened. he told his chat to stop "-rp point"-ing him about it multiple times bc he's trying to make it canon (and told fit the same when he came back post-ghost bit).

he also asked sunny's admin whether she wanted their interactions to be filler or canon and she chose canon

plus he had a canon interaction with forever explaining it and asking him to watch over his daughter

and he and sunny built things and interacted with each other based specifically off the info he was kidnapped, that he will have to go, and that they both knew it was coming

so while you may have to ignore or recontextualize some of the goofier interactions when he initially came back (phil/etoiles/fit stuff esp), tubbo did come back, the code attack did happen, it's already been fit into the lore, and i don't doubt sunny is going to tell fit about it this week!!

boris found himself visited by various ghost types during his college years, where they sought to feed off his negative emotions. he rejected just about every one--he doesn't raise pokemon. he especially doesn't raise grass-types, but that doesn't mean just any pokemon will do.

...except for one very tenacious gastly. boris found Teefs to be exceedingly charismatic for his kind, and his ability to put others to sleep might come in handy.. someday..... (they're still buddies post-habitat, don't worry 😊 oh, and--don't worry about that unusual lilligant, either. like i said, boris doesn't raise grass types.)

if he had been successful, michael would have become a fallen angel of violence as violence toward the self is (unfortunately) considered a part of that layer, and it would go similarly to gabriel's fall - michael would initially survive for a time without his light, doing little more than praying as he awaits his death. notably, he would try to force himself not to plead for forgiveness, as he is determined to endure his punishment in hopes that god would deliver it personally - instead he begs over and over for fair judgment of his crime. unfortunately, this would prove ineffective as his last embers die out and he goes with them, only to wake some time later in his own tomb just the way gabriel did. the cathedral he lies in is colored a shocking red against the white stillness of violence, already painted by what michael has done. his wings would fail him, and his body itself would have turned a stark, bloodless white, but most importantly he would be filled with a need to consume blood (though unlike machines he can drink from the rivers that run through hell). yet all michael sees is that he has been left alone, that his fall was automated and god had no hand in it, not even for his most loyal servant. he cannot face the idea that god is dead, and so he determines instead they are all abandoned, as god once abandoned humanity in his disgust. all of this is wrong, all of this is flawed, it must be done away with because god can't stand to even look upon it any more. and michael will do that for him. he waits out his full transformation in his tomb, growing stone-like skin beside terrible teeth and claws (like to think the bottom half of his helmet breaks so he can you know. bite everybody lol) that he becomes accustomed to out of necessity. and when it's through, when his halo has finally fallen away, he is determined to wipe out the ragged remains of god's failed kingdom.

the thing is that yes i enjoy both verdante being a romcom comedy or a tragedy or anything in between. ofc we'd like them to be happy but part of me like to explore what would happen if we really stayed canon-compliant

and like. let's take a look at them both. Vergilius is canonly someone who's weighed down by his past sins (killing and assassinating and orphaning children), who fully well accepts that he deserves the karma that comes for him (like this man literally is expecting it and doesn't fight it), yet he chooses to drag himself forward bc if he doesn't he will sink into despair. he is full of guilt and shame. verg also seems reluctant to form new bonds which is understandable considering that he lost everything prior to limbus, and how he doesn't want to drag people down with his karma, at the same time it would be extremely hard for him to trust people due to the risks of betrayal and manipulation in the city. he KNOWS that kindness and empathy will be consumed by the city if they don't adapt (see leviathan and his thoughts on garnet) therefore anyone would be wary bc there's always a catch. vergilius is also extremely duty bound to restoring garnet and lapis and it weighs down on him a lot

now i dont see Vergilius as oblivious bc the man would obviously recognise signs of attraction from Dante. but vergilius, despite his harsh exterior, is also kind deep down or at least practical, so taking the above into account, in this scenario he would probably outright address it to dante that he has... personal goals. maybe dante will be sacrificed at the end for limbus company as a whole, maybe not, but Verg makes it clear that he WILL choose lapis and garnet over dante bc that is his responsibility. what he owes to them.

executive manager, he doesn't say, do not be a fool.

and to his surprise, dante just nods and writes him, "I'm aware. It's ok, I understand."

bc dante respects him. they respect his space and not push anything at all (alongside how they probably feel that they are not worthy yet, or that they don't want to burden Vergilius, bc c'mon they're stumbling through their responsibilities after losing their memory, work is more important than personal interest now), i also like to think dante isn't say, self-depreciating, but more like they've accepted that they have so much to live up to and Vergilius has something to achieve and they will not stand in his way, so they're content to just spend time with Vergilius as manager and guide.

and there's that. they don't talk about it after the day. nothing changes between them. they continue on as manager and guide.

the only exception is that now Vergilius is aware that Dante fully accepts that he will sacrifice them for his own goals. yet Dante is content to spend time around him and vice versa (he doesn't admit it)

and isn't that the tragedy?

vergilius, to be aware that something could have sparked between the both of you, yet you cannot afford to cross the line due to circumstances. occasionally imagining what it could had been if the both of you were actually allowed to. how should you feel when the other person still seeks you out and befriends you despite knowing that you will never pick them

and dante, getting the confirmation that you will never be picked and will be the third or fourth or whatever choice but that's okay. manager and guide is enough, you WILL enjoy whatever there is between the both of you without asking for more

personally, unrequited love as a tragedy is not effective to me bc it's not that hard to respect another person's feelings and not make yourself the victim.

the REAL tragedy here is being aware of the lost potential and what-could-had-beens, yet IN SPITE OF THAT theres the quiet acceptance and humble enjoyment of whatever there is between the both of them bc that's all they can afford. how fate and the city fucked them both up. yet they stay professional because they respect each other too much (to the point of suppressing their personal feelings for the other) to make this into a hassle

maybe dante dies at the end of limbus and verg would reminisce on what it could had been. maybe verg dies and dante occasionally recalls the little moments they get to spend together. maybe they both die. maybe they both live but they walk a too different path to ever converge again. maybe we slap canon in the face and let them survive or meet up again in the future.

whatever it is, i just really enjoy the sweet sweet pining between the both of them throughout limbus company. the horrors of Knowing. i'm going to bite something

oh boy you're fighting demons aren't you? it's like you're in a constant staring competition with something that's always in the peripheral. what the fuck. (at least, that's how people who don't know you would react). at this point you've probably gotten pretty familiar with the hat man. he's a reliable kind of guy. keeps to himself, sure, but you can trust him to be there. maybe a haunting isn't too bad if it's never left your side. you can only imagine what it will be like when he's not there any more.

you have found yourself hungered or sickened or ambitious to the point of emotional carnage. you are fine, until you're not, and then you could rip someone in your way apart with your bared teeth by complete accident, and later claw at yourself in fits of pain trying to apologize. do you look at the moon that blessed you in her name, at her marred beauty and baneful eyes, and wish she could just crush that loving-hateful heart of yours before it crushes itself? every bite you take out of flesh is a response to the threads of silver bullets in you that haven't healed. the duality is that the human inside is howling too, gnashing, and without the wolf pelt, everyone can ignore it and turn away. at some point, you got tired of the moon being your only witness. now the wolf is there to make sure others know that you are hurt, and deserving of humanity, of attention to wounds. because that wolf loves you; all of you; and knows when you are hurt better than yourself.

One more thing is that in game, M.octezuma takes on a new and different name which is 'i.zcalli' and I think that in the context of a Grail war, he could go by that instead of being called 'avenger' to conceal his true identity

#;ooc #ooc #its been some time since i finished l.b7 so i have to re-read it to confirm whether this was the case or im going delusional but #since in the story he's brought back to have a second chance in life; he takes on a new name #i think that in his case; having a new name isnt only to conceal his identity but its like a barrier to him #we see how the first time he sees the protagonist and company; he mentions how the scar in hia forehead hurts #so not going by his true name of m.octezuma it helps him repress the memories of his past #we also see how he imposes on himself the title of t.ezcatlipoca (or well the future t.ezcatlipoca) and tries to follow it to a T #so in a way he's running from himself in a lot of ways #its the regret; the guilt; the despair; #he's willing to discard his own identity in order to change the course of history; to change how things ended; for this last second chance #its why the class of avenger does quite fit him in this context #its a man who's haunted by his past; by how things went; its that kind of servant #like how j.eanne alter cant forgive; like how d.antes is stuck in a period of his life; how s.alieri is cursed by the narrative created- #around his figure; etc etc #i think m.octe is interesting bc of this; he truly goes through extremes; he takes any and every step he can without an ounce of hesitation #its blind and its desperate and even when he faces the other t.ezcatlipoca; he ends up betraying himself; and even the god he is supposed- #to become and follow #he s.hoots him; he k.ills him; its the first time there is hesitation in him; just for a moment #anyways i say he coukd go by i.zcalli in a grail war but #considering its the context of the l.b what gives him that name; it would probably be something else on a different reality
