Hector was as relaxed as he could ever be as he and Chandler drank their morning coffee on the roof of their apartment building. It was as close as they would get to a balcony and he had pushed them to make it a habit so they could start every day off with a bit of peace. “Hey, hey, hey, stop moving so fast,” Hector told Chandler as he took two big steps to get to the couch and shift the pillow for her as she shifted her seating. Since her concussion and injuries Hector had probably been a bit too concerned whenever they were in space together but he couldn’t help it. With Halloween coming up and the undeniable desirability of being out and about, he was trying to make sure he was checking in with the people he cared about before something else happened. His mother had already talked his ear off about staying home on Halloween this year but he was planning to look too sexy to do that. “I’m gonna get you some water and then we’re going to watch the slowest, most chill movie ever okay? And then we’re gonna have dinner. And eat..slowly,” he added, reaching out to briefly run his hand over the crown of her head. Which more came off as if he was patting a dog’s head but he was working on his caretaking. “Sorry, that was weird. I’m gonna get that water.”
