I honestly hated Hey Melissa so much. I didn't even finish watching it cause it was making me too uncomfortable but I saw someone talking about what happens in the rest of it and I honestly hate it so much and it sucks cause I was pretty excited to watch it because I honestly would've liked to learn more about Melissa and I was really liking it in the beginning and then all of that....stuff started happening and it just made me sooooo ughhhh :(

I also was excited to see Paul have another story where he was a main character in it because the last one where he was a major part of was Forever and Always and I'm pretty sure that I've said this before but I also hated that story and it made me just as upset as Hey Melissa when I finished watching it

Maybe it's just me but I've really been hating what they do with Paul in any of the nightmare time stories that he's a major character in and I feel like the only time I've really loved seeing Paul in a story was in the guy who didn't like musicals....

But I don't know maybe I'm just overreacting and all but I really hated 'Hey Melissa', I hated what they did with Paul, and I really hated what they decided to do with Melissa...like she honestly had a lot of potential (y'know considering that we literally didn't know anything about her) but they had to go and make her like that....

I know that I probably sound very silly complaining about this (especially because everyone else seems to like it or at least not hate it in the way that I do) but I just needed to get my feelings out about this because as much as I love the hatchetfield universe I really haven't been liking a lot of the stuff that they do with certain characters

"What is that on your neck?" Yoko tilts her sunglasses down to take a good look at Wednesday's suspicious bruising.

Wednesday stares at her, not blinking, while Yoko squints her eyes trying to figure out what sort of creature that has victimized her friend.

"Did a vampire bite you??"

"Of course not."

"It better not be, dude, because I'll be hurt," Yoko scoffs.

"May I ask why?" Wednesday asks, her tone monotonous as usual. "How are your emotions correlated to whatever bit my neck?"

Yoko jumps off the table and sits beside her friend on the bench. Wednesday immediately moves a foot away, but at least she doesn't walk out anymore.

"See, if it was another vampire, I would be offended, right?" Yoko explains. "Because I'm a whole ass vampire, Addams, and I've been begging you since forever to lemme taste you... So if I hear you've been offering your pale neck to some random bloodsucker I'll be terribly pissed."

Wednesday stares at her emotionlessly. But she gets her point. She, too, will be annoyed if Yoko allows herself to get staked in the heart by a stranger instead of her.

"Well, I assure you it was not a vampire," she shrugs, biting into her bacon strip.

"I'm still curious though."

"It pains my heart to say that your curiosity will never be satiated, as I am not inclined to divulge the source of this particularly pleasurable torture I have experienced."

Yoko sighs.

The door to the cafeteria loudly slams open, as a huffing Enid Sinclair looks around the large room, smiling when she sees the back of her roommate's head, unmistakable amidst a sea of Nevermore students littered around -- quite distinct as if there's a permanent stormcloud attached above her.

"There you are, Wednesday! You forgot your snood to cover your --"

"It was Enid??!" Yoko gasps.

Wednesday smirks ever so lightly as she allows Enid to wrap the black snood around her neck.

(Note, Carmen is 13 years in this fic, exactly 4 year before Avis died)

Carmen walked into the bright and colorful speakeasy, trailing behind her mother, Avis, who was rather walking in a rush. Carmen always wondered how her mother could run so fast in heels but Carmen couldn't properly walk in them yet.

Carmen in reality, wasn't even supposed to be at the speakeasy considering she was only thirteen. But Avis and Elias couldn't find a sitter in time, so they took Carmen with her.

Avis turned to Carmen and bended down to her height, speaking in her usual soft voice. "Okay Carm, don't cause to much chaos, don't set anything on fire and-"

"Be safe, I know mom" Carmen added, hugging Avis. "I won't do anything risky or stupid. I'll just deliver Dad's lunch to him and come back"

Avis let out a light chuckle. "That's my little clover" Avis stated before hugging Carmen and then standing up. Avis then hurriedly ran off to get ready for her performance.

Carmen smiled as she held the box of food that was supposed to be her father's lunch. Elias usually forgot to eat lunch or food in general, so Carmen and Avis make sure he dosent forget that he needs to eat.

Carmen walked around the speakeasy, trying to find where her father was. It wasn't until Carmen saw Viktor carrying a couple of boxes that Carmen stopped in her tracks. Carmen was terrified of Viktor. However, most of the people that terrified her worked with Elias, so Carmen followed Viktor, hoping he wouldn't notice or question her.

Then, Carmen made it. Many of Atlas's workers where wondering around. Some of them carrying boxedes, others were just sitting down. Carmen's expression brightened as she walked around the place in wonder, earing some confused stares at her.

Carmen looked around until she spotted her dad reloading a smooth sniper. Carmen ran up to him with her big toothy grin that she inherited from him.

When Elias saw Carmen, he became a little concerned and confused. "Carm? What are you doing here?

"You forgot you Lunch!" Camren replied as she showed Elias the box.

Elias eyes widened before chuckling. "Yeah, i did forget....thanks for reminding me little clover..."

Carmen shrugged as she sat down next to Elias and looked at his gun. Camren always found her dad's sniper to be Stellar, mostly because how Elias looked so cool while using it

Elias looked at Carmen and his gun. He knew he wasn't going to be there forever to protect his little girl.....so it was better if he where just to teach Carmen how to protect herself.

"..Wanna learn how to shoot?"

Carmen was cleaning her own sniper, looking at the design of it carefully. The design reminded her of her father's gun. Carmen however, was snapped back into reality by Nia's voice.

"Carm, come on! We're going to be late!" Nia yelled from downstairs

Carmen lightly chuckled before putting her sniper next to the nightstand which had a picture of her, Elias and Avis. "Love you dad..." Carmen muttered before walking out the door.

Did you miss me?

Hey my babies 👋🏼🤗. How are you? Wow, has it really been that long? It's been 1 year and 2 months apparently and it doesn't seem so 😅. I feel like a part of me should apologize for the absence, so I'm sorry 🙏🏼 but, to be completely honest, the other part of me doesn't want to justify because this is just an app we use to distract ourselves from the reality of daily life 🤭🤣. So, for those who have been wondering, my recap is that I'm 31 now, I've been unhealthy/sick for several things, last year I grieved for my baby girl dog who passed away after 12 years (and who took a piece of my soul with her), I changed my job and I’m being mobbed by my boss every day 😅. The several most important good news? I adopted a beautiful puppy girl in September of this year 😍🤩 and my girlfriend whom you also know well came to me here in Italy twice; once for three months last year, and once for our 2-year anniversary this year by staying for almost a month ❤🥰😍🤩. Oh and, of course, I've started writing again as of today. This obviously has to be put among the good news 🤣. I won't hide from you that I've missed writing, so here I am, although I can't promise that I'll be very active in answering the asks as before due to my various commitments, but I'll try to be here more often 😉.

FAMILIA: Bonus Analysis

Hey everyone, happy 7/27! For #10YearsOfFifthHarmony, I thought I’d drop some bonus lyrical analysis from my Familia review that didn’t quite make the cut the first time around because it wasn’t as Camren-centric. Hope you enjoy :)

1. Celia

Honestly, I’m not quite sure how to explain this song. Celia describes someone who wants to move to Miami, is unfamiliar with the Spanish language and Latin culture, and has never heard of Cuban icon Celia Cruz. As a result, I feel like this is a weird one for Camila to write about Lauren, who is also Cuban, fluent in Spanish, and lives in Miami. So, I propose two alternative explanations. One, it’s a stunt song that Camila wrote not out of her real-life experiences, but specifically for people to attribute to Shawn. Two, it’s inspired by real-life experiences, but the muse is another person altogether. I have no idea who that could be, but for personal reasons I’m just going to pretend that it’s Hailee Steinfeld.

2. Bam Bam

Sometimes when I’m listening to a song, I wish I didn’t know anything about the artist’s personal life. For example, I can’t think about anything other than Jake Gyllenhaal when listening to All Too Well because Taylor marketed the song so massively around him regardless of who the actual muse is. It just ruins the song for me, and I’d say that even if she publicly marketed the song around a woman. Similarly, Bam Bam falls quite low on my ranking of Familia because the song is just so obviously contrived.

The opening lyrics are “you said you hated the ocean, but you’re surfing now // I said I’d love you for life, but I just sold our house.” Shortly after the split in November 2021, Shawn posted pictures of himself at the beach, and shortly before, Camila sold her LA house. Remember, Camila bought that house in April 2019, a couple months before breaking up with Matthew Hussey. Given the suspicious timing of these transactions, it wouldn’t surprise me if her label only intended to use the house for her PR with Shawn. Either way, this is annoying because the relationship was fake, but now it’s forever immortalized in Camila’s art. If I had to guess, I’d say she was contractually bound to do so, but at least it’s only a couple lines. Also, here’s a thought about “I said I’d love you for life.” What if she was saying that she’d initially agreed to a lavender marriage with Shawn, but didn’t end up going through with it? I hope that isn’t the case, but I’m glad they never even got “engaged,” let alone “married.”

But as we’ve learned over the past 10 years, one should never underestimate Camila. If we read between the lines here, she might actually be throwing shade at the PR. In the chorus, she says, “yeah, love came around and it knocked me down, but I’m back on my feet” and “I was barely standin’, but now I’m dancin.’ ” What if she’s saying that the mental toll of the PR stunt knocked her down and left her unable to stand, but now that she’s free of Shawn, she’s back to being happy again?
