Let me be absolutely clear -- the problems with Tumblr will keep getting worse if the disabled minority and the trans people and the people frothing at the mouth at the opportunity to yell at a transphobe, keep @’ing staff and the developers on this site, tell them to kys, because in the meanwhile the transphobes and racists and white supremacists will keep using the actual tools Tumblr provides for blocking and reporting, further poisoning the datasets used for moderation, and encouraging the idea that using the official tools does nothing to basically ensure the only statistically meaningful data available to Automattic is poisoned, poisoned all the way down, poisoned beyond usability.

Hatespeech and bias needs to be reported for it to be considered statstically significant to act on from a developer point of view. Suicide baiting and spamming any of the official means of communication will get you eliminated as a spammer, even if you’re peppering legitimate criticism within your ventpost about how you hate the new thing. You are playing the TE/RFs game.

the utter lack of affection or care amongst my extended family is so bleak and miserable

#like I don't get on or chat with fucking any of my english cousins. the few I did #get on well with disappeared from my life out of nowhere because of family drama #the ones left are older than me and they never cared about me lol #and they're all boys which I don't think helped things when we were younger #but that shouldn't matter. I get on with my spanish male cousin fine ! he's lovely!#but the people I'm with every winter and birthday etc are just completely cold and detached #I have no real relationship with any of my uncles or aunts or cousins #it's not like there's even one I can go and talk to while everyone else is ignoring me lol #I've got my brother and that's it and of course he's just a little kid #he's either trying to get attention from the adults or trying to get me to play with him #which is fine. but. ugh.#it's just like I should've had this big network of people who cared about me statistically I should've had at least one family #member who I had some kind of unique or close bond with and I never did I never got it #I grew up with two sisters and I never got it. international sports federations will look at the fact that 99% of elite male athletes are better than 99% of elite female athletes and be like oh is this an excuse to ignore the 1%? babygirl do you KNOW how many elite athletes there are in the world. yeah. yeah, hundred of thousands of them. yeah, that means that 1% is thousands of people. unfortunately you do have to reckon with the folks in the middle of your very impressive bimodal distribution. yeah i know. i know, the infinite diversity of human ability within those two categories is pretty inconvenient-- yeah.

it’s definitely a tough question to resolve, reconciling the reality of sex-based advantage with the fact that there are always going to be people with a range of natural advantages within and between those normal distributions-- for sure, it’s complicated, keeping things fair for the 99% while also finding a way to make them just and fair for the people in between. it’s hard! obviously we can’t just full-out abolish sex categories or blur them beyond coherence in most sports-- yeah, I know, the NHL and MLB are already gender neutral, and we’ve seen how that’s worked out for women trying to go pro-- absolutely-- yeah-- okay--

so are you going to come at this in a way that preserves the dignity and right to play of trans and intersex athletes & others who don’t fit your binary? oh, no? oh, you’re just going-- you’re just going to pretend that that they don’t exist. alright. wait, you’re NOT going to do that? so they do-- they do exist? oh, okay, you’re just going to say they aren’t allowed in sports. because you aren’t-- you aren’t creative enough to come up with a way of making things fair for everyone. okay. cool. this seems like a normal and really smart way of addressing this issue. i’m so glad you’re in charge. fucking wingnut dipshits.

look no disgaea ship is ever going to win a poll against anything but another disgaea ship because the tumblr disgaea fandom is like 10 people including me and i do not post about disgaea bc the only one i think any normal person could know is the 6th one which is the 2nd worst game in existence only beat by fire emblem: 3 houses. and like d4 is very fun if you're its target audience(person who loves grinding/games that reward you for exploiting their mechanics/weird janky mechanics) and that its story is fun except for all the parts that are bad, but if you are not its target audience disgaea games are fucking miserable and so its fans are mostly very weird and also annoying
