I think the worst thing about an egg’s death will always be the parent/ caregiver’s reaction to it.

Like Chayanne and Tallulah’s nightmare where Phil was begging and try to coach Chayanne to help get him up only to lay there and desperately apologize to Chayanne as he died

Or Ramon’s nightmare with literally everyone on the server (Max, Leo, Foolish, Quackity, Bad) all running to Ramon, trying to save him. Foolish saying “Did we fail?” when he saw Ramon’s death message. Max trying his best to explain to Quackity that Ramon was safe in his house-he was safe-and that the code shouldnt have killed him. Or Bad staying an hour after, opening Ramon’s door over and over again.

Or Bobby’s death where Roier was telling Bobby over and over again that they shouldnt do the dungeon. Only to lay there and bleeding out, helpless because they were thousands of blocks away. Roier had to lay there and watch his son die, only to die soon after.

Or Juanaflippa’s death when Roier had to yell at Mariana to leave the ship because they were going to die. Mariana sobbing and screaming out for Juanaflippa as Roier drove away.

Or Dapper’s deaths, the satellite dish and the mansion. Bad screaming and running into the mansion even though he couldnt fightr anything just to possibly get Dapper up. Only for them to dig a hole in the ground in the middle of the night with no armor and wait. The satellite dish death with no hope of escaping. Cellbit asking if Bad is okay while Bad gets Dapper’s body. Slowly realizing that this was meant to happen.

Now today with Empanada’s death. Bagi screaming and crying while everyone froze. A mother’s grief unmatched to anything else as she tried to kill any worker in her path. Bagi telling Pac and Fit that she wants to go back to purgatory just so she can kill the eye workers.

I hope we never have to experience any more parent’s grief because it hurts the most

tallulah instantly loves you

she's very quiet around you at first and hides behind will but quickly gets used to your presence

like you'll just be watching over her for Will or Phil and she's just so comfortable talking about her passions with you

Tallulah loves reassuring your builds and likes helping you as well, if you're unsure of how something looks, she's quick to reassure you that it looks good!

she gets you little gifts and shit it's the most adorable thing

her desire for validation mostly drives her kindness to you but she does actually appreciate you a lot

you seem to be there when no one else is and she frequently gives you 'I love you's and little flowers and stuff

she has abandonment issues so you make sure to always check behind yourself to make sure she's still following you

you refuse to leave her anywhere

always looks at you with a 😊 or 🤩 no explanation

she always refers to you as 'ma/pa' or a special nickname. like a syllable of your actual name or smthn, like something special for you two lol

you constantly tell and reassure each other that you're so awesome, great dynamic honestly

CHARLIE & JUANAFLIPPA

She's very quiet and reserved, but obedient

that automatic obediencey grew as a part of her and she just automatically accepted you into the family

although charlie and mariana were very negligent parents, she still trusted them and did as they said

you were the total opposite

it was what she wanted with you two, she has the freedom

you constantly argue w charlie over being a neglectful parent (character not irl)

she's very brave and courageous, and knows how to stay positive

I think the reintroduction of the eggs could go a little something like this:

Spawn is apparently where they're going to find their children. A crowd gathers. Parents and aunts and uncles and siblings and...the children. The children are right in front of them. Their children. There's a lot of tears. The children are sobbing or on the verge of it. It's a relieving sound.

Richarlyson runs straight for Cellbit, noticing him in the crowd of people. He's immediately picked up by his dad. He's held tight. He doesn't say anything when he feels Cellbit's nails start to dig into his skin. Where are the rest of his dads? Shouldn't they be here, too? It doesn't matter. He has one of them and a stepdad, and that's good enough. Mouse and Roier lean into the hug. Richas has Cellbit, Roier, and Mouse, and that's enough. They're a family.

Leonarda couldn't tell you why, but she went to Roier first and grabbed onto his pant leg. She's held close by her brother, both unfamiliar and familiar at the same time. She's holding his hand as they walk to find their dads. She wipes her tears with the back of her free hand. Soon, the siblings see both Foolish and Vegetta. Soon, Roier and Leo are held in their father's arms. They're a family.

Dapper and Pomme are holding hands. Brother and sister, hand in hand. They find Bad, and before either realizes it, they're in his arms again. Being held so tight yet gently at the same time. His hands hold them so close to his chest, as if they could become one with Bad's being. Pomme is shakily handed off to Etoiles and Antoine. They both make sure she isn't bruised like her namesake. They both hold her close. They're all a family.

Ramón was picked up by his dad before he even noticed him. Fit is nearly squeezing his son before loosening up a bit. Both are on the verge of tears, yet neither let's go. Ramón hides his face in his dad's shoulder. Fit rests his cheek on the side of his sons head. It's them against the world again. They're a family.

Chayanne is leading Tallulah, both determined to find their caregivers. As soon as they see Philza crouched low with arms out, ready for both of them. They both run into his arms, soon enveloped by inky black wings to further protect them. Chayanne and Tallulah can hear Phil's heartbeat. It's full of love. Tubbo and Niki soon join Chayanne and Tallulah under inky black. They're a family.

Nobody says anything if no one gets any sleep that night.

If Richas' bed is protected by a loosely held knife and if a devil watches him sleep, nobody says anything.

If Leo's held closely by her brother as she sleeps, and if their parents busy themselves fixing up the bedroom, nobody says anything.

If Dapper's hand is held tightly as he sleeps and while soft lullabies and stories fill the air, nobody says anything.

If Pomme's bed is hidden and protected by a sword held in a white knuckle grip, nobody says anything.

If Chayanne's bed is manically prayed over for protection by a tired crow, nobody says anything.

If Tallulah's watched over all night by two of her dad's oldest and most trusted friends, nobody says anything.

I'm imagining Graves with some form of toy which makes quite a lot of noise be that a rattle or a toy that plays music or something and a previous 'Caregiver' (could even interpret that as Shepherd 🤨) gets really angry at him for it because it's 'annoying' and so then with the 141 when small he tried to stay really quiet despite Simon's babbling and Kyle and Soaps constant play and noise. He has to be taught that it's okay to make noise again 😭

And that enjoyment got taken away when he'd get in trouble for it

He'd be quiet now. Hell, he wouldn't even cry loud. He was determined to be good because he was already so bad, he told himself he was bad for being the way he was. With his job, with his social life, relationships, even.

But seeing the others being loud around him, and Price encouraging it while they were small, he gets so confused and scared. What if it's a trap? Of course he'd think that. But Simon looked so happy, Soap was shouting nonsense as he played with Gaz... And Graves just wanted to join in but he didn't let himself

He stuck to his quiet toys, even flinching when they clinked together. As if he'd get in trouble for it.

It's concerning to see a little one so hesitant to just play. Price tried to help with that. He played louder games with him, things like patty cake to get him used to sounds like clapping and then encouraging louder sounds when Phil would giggle of squeal

It's like retraining a dog. They're stuck in their ways, but can be done with persuasion

And Phil is a puppy with lots of fears. Treats and praise would do the trick, Price could tell

Techno didn't like being sick. He hated staying in place for too long, forcing other people to look after him. He hated it, so whenever he was sick, he usually powered through it, continuing as normal. Can't burden anyone if you make yourself functional, can you? Of course, he couldn't really deny anything when he was passing out, especially with a witness. (Luckily for him, though, Phil was an excellent caregiver. He liked doing it, liked making sure his friends, his family, knew they were loved. He was going to make sure Techno knew he wasn't a burden to anyone by the time he was healthy. In the meantime, he can make a mean soup, which might actually be just what Techno needed after all.)

Hello Shae! I am back at it again with a gift fic for you because of @technoblade-gift-exchange. I would've given it to you earlier this week had writer's block not kidnapped me and held me hostage. I only just managed to escape it's greedy clutches. I hope you find this fic satisfying.

I'm realizing now that it might be the first time I'm writing, like, an actual sick fic. So it might not be great. Definitely not my best work, but when you get halfway, it starts being tender in a way that makes me smile, so I suppose that has to count for something. In any case, it's a sick fic, and no matter what those are generally some good food, a classic little snack whenever you want. So, I hope this counts--even if it's over 8k long...

Code, Eggs, Eyes, and Arin

What is the most important thing to residents on the island? The Eggs. Their children. The easiest thing to hold over a parent/caregivers head is to manipulate them. 

Luffy escaped Egg Island, he isnt supposed to be on Quesadilla. The Eye workers tried to capture him from the Federation but failed. The next time they tracked Luffy he was with Phil and when Phil refused to hand over Luffy the fight broke out and ended in a threat, using his child as leverage.

 Later the Fed re-confiscates Luffy, leaving him nowhere to be found when the Eyes return to collect. Talking is no longer an option and attacks will ensue at random, attacking what the residents care about, until they get what they want: the entity that doesnt belong on this island. 

I used to think the Codes were attacking the Eggs to get rid one the only thing keeping residents tied to the island. To get them to leave. A book was even dropped with “Leave” written in binary not long before a Code showed up to attack. 

I dont think this was a threat anymore. This was a warning, a heads-up, from someone else. From Arin.

From the start we know Arin is a target of the Codes. What I couldnt figure out is why after attacking him, they switched to attacking the eggs. Because, if Codes were attacking the eggs because they are what the residents care about, how could Arin/Luzu fit into that methodology? It doesnt. 

But it does fit with the methodology of the Eye Workers. 

On Day 24 Luzu learns about Tilins death, overwhelemed with this information, Arin takes over. Shortly after there is a Code attack targetting Arin. 

Foolish, BBH, and Dapper take Arin back to Luzus house, when he explains the computer that is more or less where his mind goes when not using Luzus body.

Luzu being so taken over by the death of his child to the point  that Arin needed to take over, it the evidence for the Codes of how important these egg things are to residents. 

Arin leaves for that day and Dapper is attacked while with BBH. Why not attack Foolish? He was there with Arin too? Because BBH was with Dapper. Seeking to find Arin again, go to the one who is with their prized possession and threaten it because what the Code seeks, Arin, is not around anymore. 

And from that point on, the Codes attacked over and over and over for months. Two eggs were attacked more than others during this time. Dapper and Leo. The eggs whose parents were last seen with Arin. 

The attack on Day 45:

While a bunch of residents and their eggs were gathered at Luzu’s to theorize about Arin, the famous book drops. Right in front of Arin’s computer.  

It was assumed this came from the Codes, because it was written in binary. But Arin also speaks in Binary, he speaks in many languages. 

Luzu did not wake up on this day, and without Luzus body, Arin couldnt be there physically to warn about the attack about to happen. I think “Leave” was dropped by Arin. 

There’s still a loose end in this right, Philza. Why did the code first show up to Phil on Day 15 at that airship, and why did it give him a book with the coordinates to Arins computer?

The airship is a trigger point, something very connected to Codes. The mega Airships appear associated with Codes more than once.

Phil spent a lot of time with Luzu on Day 1 and perhaps thought they had a close relationship. 

I'm really not sure about the Phil thing yet.

Qsmp agere headcannons bc I have writers block and feel bad about not writing (also I'm small rn so no guarantee it makes sense)

Roier is a "potions under the sink" kiddo, Cellbit is a "takes his toys apart instead of playing with them" kiddo

They have matching everything. Pacifiers with guapito/gatinho on the handles, pajama onesies, those matching Simba and Nala plushies with the magnets in the nose, sippy cups, etc. The only difference is that Cellbit's have cats on them and Roier's have spiders

They are somehow even clingier when tiny. You cannot separate them, they're a package deal

Cellbit has a rule that teddy bears, especially white ones, are completely off limits bc it looks too much like Cucurucho

He's very sensitive to loud noises and gets incredibly freaked out by medical equipment

Roier was given Bobby's toys after he died, nobody is allowed to touch them but him and Jaiden

Baghera doesn't technically have a caregiver, but often ends up with either Etoiles or Bad

Ironmouse and Charlie are besties when little, they are constantly having playdates and if left unsupervised one of them will end up hurt

Niki spends most of her time alone when she's little, but sometimes she asks for company and every once in a blue moon people will find her drawings dropped off at their bases

Etoiles tends to get distracted while little to the point where he won't notice issues with his blood sugar, so Phil is his caregiver. Etoiles hates this arrangement not because he hates Phil but because he feels babied in a bad way. Most of the time he ends up lying about his age just so he can be on his own (he understands why it's a necessary precaution and he does think it's nice occasionally, but it's obnoxious and it makes him feel bad)

Phil and Bad are the server's go to babysitters

Phil is trying to take more time to himself to be tiny but he feels incredibly guilty about it

When he does let himself it's normally Fit or Forever who end up taking care of him

Tallulah has an uncanny ability to figure out when an islander is small and tends to "babysit" (y'know when you where little and a relative would leave you to watch a younger sibling for like five minutes just so they didn't like. Eat a Lego. Bc it's like that) until Phil shows up or finds their cg

Time for some qsmp egg designs! Since I was working off of the idea that dragons adapt and change to look similar to their caregivers before they hatch, it was really difficult for some eggs since I don't know most of the members of the server + Pomme and Richarlyson have more than two parents. I also based the spots on their shells on their favorite colors, which was also difficult since the wiki doesn't have them all listed.

Anyways I'm glad with how these turned out.

Leaving explanations for all the design choices below for anyone curious.

Some basic details about the eggs, so far their colors have not completely set in so some of their original purple coloring can still be seen; this is most notable for Tilin, JuanaFlippa, and Trump, who all died before their new colors could get past their shells. All of the eggs started out quadrupedal but quickly adapted to stand on their hind legs as well as adapting to have opposable thumbs allowing them to pick up and use items.

Tallulah: Starting off, she has hair coming from the top of her head and the tip of her tail, the color and style are from Wilbur, however she hasn't seen much of his avian form so the positioning actually comes from Phil. Speaking of Phil, because she has been under his care for quite a while she has also gained many traits from him, such as an extra talon on the side of her heels and pin feathers sprouting from her front legs/arms. Her scales have also started changing to an orange hue, similar to that of my Wilbur's markings, and her secondary colors are a darker green because of Phil.

Bobby: Bobby is my favorite egg but gave me a lot of trouble due to not really knowing much about Roier so he pulls a lot of traits from Jaiden and the common traits of the fandom's designs. Like Tallulah he has pin feathers coming from his arms and extra talons, however his talons are on the back if his heel. Like Jaiden, he has a feathers on the tip of his tail. While his secondary is a lilac from Jaiden's influence his main color is a duller blue as the fandom has convinced me that he would've been blue if he got to hatch. I had drawn him alive for this, but once dead, he would have a large hole in his shell just under his overalls.

Chayanne: Probably the easiest design as his traits are about the same as Tallulah's. His tail feathers however are both shaped and patterned like Phil's own tail feathers. His scales are also green and gold to match Phil's clothing. Now that Missa is back, Chayanne's secondary may start to change into a purple/blue or, after he hatches, he may gain bone markings. Leonarda: Unfortunately most of her design comes from Foolish, such as her webbed feet, finned tail, and gold and silver coloring, the best I could figure out to add some of Vegetta's influence was to have the silver be more purple than the blue that Foolish has.

Ramon: Honestly just made Ramón shades of brown since I couldn't figure out much colorwise form Fit. However he does have other features such as a longer tail than most of the eggs, plus he is also the largest of his siblings. His iconic mustache is also made up of his larger spots, which he uniquely has white spots over top of the brown ones.

Dapper: Dapper was also an easy egg design since Bbh is his only parent, so I gave him the typical black and red palette as well as a longer tail with long fur coming from the bottom. His design might change a bit as I eventually figure out my design for Bbh.

Richarlyson: I'll be honest, I kinda gave up, I don't really know enough about the brazilian streamers to add any specific feature, so for color he is made up of a light green with alternating yellow and a dark green. He is also the only egg with spines running down his back, however they aren't sharp at all yet.

Pomme: While Pomme also has the problem of having many parents, I've seen her the most around Baghera, who has a very distinct look. So because of this, Pomme has many duck features, such as tail feathers, pin feathers on her arms, webbing between her toes, an extra talon on the back of her heel, and her main scale color being a more pastel yellow. For main colors, I decided to take the main color from the other french members, make the pastel, and have them alternate on Pomme.

Tilín: Like father like son, Tilín is, or at least would have been, very blue. He doesn't have any duck features due to his death being so early and that I also haven't decided if I want Quackity to be an avian or not. Tilín is also the smallest egg. :)

JuanaFlippa: Once again, due to dying so early, she wasn't able to develop a lot of traits or color. The traits she did get was a longer tail and she would've been a light green with yellow accents.

Trump: Unlike Tilín or JuanaFlippa who have large cracks in their shells to represent their deaths, Trump's shell has become soft and discolored, to the point his spots' original color cant be determined, to represent his death to neglect. Because of this, his limbs are thinner, tail is shorter and his scales are duller; any possible change in his colors is barely noticeable.

revisiting dsmp!techno headcanons- idk if he’d regress all that much? i think he’s more of a stress caregiver- instead of dropping and needing to be coddled and taken care of to feel better, he immediately leaps into caregiver mode and starts making sure that all the people he loves are okay.

Phil is mostly used to it by this point, Techno goes through something scary/traumatic/what have you and Techno proceeds to be a mother hen for a couplea weeks. phil regresses to help him feel less self conscious about it (techno understands being mothered really isn’t fun sometimes but he’s freaking out, okay, can he please just take care of him phil i need to know you’re okay and you’re safe “of course mate lemme finish up and we can go color”)

Ranboo is not used to this. Techno bursts into his house and starts cleaning the place, organizing chests and making dinner and Ranboo is all. hey what the fuck. but lets it happen cause that’s technoblade, what is a wimpy little enderman gonna do against the blood god, and after a couple of days of making food and cleaning ranboo’s house techno pats him on the head, passes him a brand new hand made waterproof cloak and saunters back to his house while ranboo is just. ?????????

it's about cdreamnoblade and how chommy stans turned techno saying "don't ship me with my pvp friends" into "techno HATED the idea of his character being shipped and any trace of romantic content with his character is disrespectful to him in death"

what techno did hate was how much the familial links were pushed onto him, the fandom basically turning him into a caregiver mom role while denying him any romantic partnership. it's a recycled homophobic trope

at most what he has said is "shipping is ... weird" because people were in his chat trying to get him to say he was married to phil. but really it was just, don't be weird about him and his real life friends because it's uncomfortable to see

we don't need to reinvent "lonely mom gay friend" homophobic trope because we don't like a ship. simply don't like it. we don't need to lie and we definitely don't need to call the idea of a gay fictional ship "disrespectful"

TRUE!! Poor Graves still flinches even when Dada Roach starts to scold him, like he's expecting anything worse than a timeout or early naptime. When he's little. I imagine at first when Graves is having a moment, they let him be fussy and cry it out (with cuddles and coaxing ofc) baby Phil has a lot of pent up emotions that carry into his regression.

ALSO I imagine roach is a big softy when he's a caregiver ngl. he just wants to pamper and spoil his baby all the time. And the idea of putting his little one in time out breaks him. (if they ever do get to that point, Roach makes Phil's timeout space very comfy and safe. It's a glorified nest of blankets, stuffies and pillows.) in Roach's eyes, baby Phil can do no wrong

HE SPOILS HIS BABY !!!

And even when Phil doesn't want to be held while small, he will sit with him, and play or do whatever Phil wants until he's ready to let out his tears or upsetness

(he gets cardboard or paper to rip up when he's tiny and angry)

Time outs are still scary to him, but he can usually last about 3 minutes before he gets scared that Roach doesn't want him anymore. He thinks too much, that's his problem. He thinks he'll be discarded like trash when someone gets bored of him :(((

Of course he gets lots of love whenever Roach puts that together. So the time limit for timeouts is 3 minutes, then he gets held and asked if he knows what he did wrong. And if he does, Roach assures him that it's okay. And if he doesn't, Roach explains it gently to him

I imagine egg Chayanne to have a few cracks on his shell (istg motherfucker is hardboiled) and his humanoid/dragon version to get quite a lot of scratches and cuts from his adventures. Either way, Phil and Missa always use the colourful plasters

Whenever Tallulah is walking somewhere with someone, she always holds onto them in some kind of way: she grabs Wilbur by the hem of his sweater, Phil by his wings/long robes, Bad by his tail, etc. Since she’s quite slow, it allows her caregiver to keep an appropriate pace. Also, she feels safer that way, the proximity ensuring her that now she’s loved and cared for and that she won’t be alone again
