Unpopular opinion on The Hollow Boy but when it comes to the whole thing with Holly/Lucy. I’m on Lucy’s side completely. Was Lucy kinda of rude to Holly, absolutely. But Holly was rude right back, she criticized Lucy’s clothing, habits, diet, called her weird. And Holly is close to being an adult, she’s supposed to the mature one of the group. So why does she act that way? You can’t fight fire with fire. And then with the whole thing that she’s jealous of Lockwood and George liking Holly better than her. I get it because from Lucy’s perspective that’s what it seems like. When Lucy first gets to Lockwood and Co. Lockwood is polite to her and George and her do not get along at all. Compare that with Holly whom Lockwood opened up to immediately and George seems to like her right away. Lucy really had to earn the boys trust and everything. While both boys immediacy were fawning over Holly right away when they met her

(One of my favorite topics! I love how colors can be used so diversely and powerfully.)
In this show, our main characters have very clear 'color schemes', if you will. Lucy, with her absolutely 👌cheff kiss👌 wardrobe is blue, Lockwood with his love of suits is black, and George's color (while he sometimes leans more toward neutral tones) is orange. But it's not just about their individual colors, it's about how they look and are commonly used with the others.
First of all: black and blue go so well together! I can't explain it very clearly but they're such shippable colors and I love that they represent Locklyle.
Second: orange and black give such wacky and kinda spooky vibes (think Halloween), and I think that fits perfectly with Lockwood and Geroge's dynamic. You wouldn't think that they work but then you put them together and they just. Do.
Lastly: Blue and orange are opposite colors, which I think perfectly encapsulates George and Lucy when they first meet. They're always rubbing each other the wrong way, getting on each other's nerves. But here's the thing, opposite colors are also called complementary. As times goes by they both realize that despite (or maybe because of they're differences), they can be an amazing team. Think about that final confrontation with Joplin and the Bone Glass. Even with the odds against them they stuck to their strengths (Lucy's Listening and loyalty and George's silent way of waiting for an opportunity them striking when they least expect it) and that's what won the day. Yes, Lockwood came it and saved them from Bickerstaff's, which I loved, that was such a cool scene, but they never would have made it that far if Lucy and George didn't fill in the gaps in each other's armor and fracture the Bone Glass like the brilliant team they are.

This is a weird headcannons but I think that when Mrs Cubbins/Kairm met Lucy she really wanted her and George to be together. I don’t ship Lucy and George, but I feel like a lot of us have experienced our parents wanting us to be with someone if they’re the opposite gender. Just knowing that’s how parents usually are and the fact that Lucy and George are really good friends. Lucy’s really pretty and I have another headcanon that she and George’s mum get along extremely well. She probably was like “So, is there something going on with you two?”
Hc that George is actually extremely experienced in breathing exercises and helping someone through a panic attack. He lives in the same house as Lockwood, Lucy, Kipps, and Holly (who I hc as having raging anxiety as well). He would be the best person to have with you in that moment.
seeing lockwood & co. work after seeing kipps and his team work is very funny because with each other lucy, lockwood, and george seem fairly sane but as soon as they encounter any professionals it becomes EXTREAMLY clear they're all completely feral
