hi man. i saw you were the mod of the Cas bang and a lot of my friends are talking about it so I might sign up but would be my first bang so like id like it to be special or somethin so like. had a few questions, don't mind me. is this your first bang you're hosting? can we be sure all of us get artists, and vice versa, and what happens if not? and who are some of the bigger blogs who're in, like, could you tell us? so wed join too because we know them right
well, first off, thank you for reaching out to me!! yes, this is the first bang I’ve ever hosted. @until-it-kills-you-both and I are workshopping it together but I think it’s going to go really well. as far as fics being paired with art, you don’t need to worry about that. no matter what happens, we will make sure that every author gets at least one artist to work with and every artist has a fic to make art for. otherwise, what would be the point of the bang?
depending on how participation turns out, some artists may end up creating for multiple fics (only artists who make it clear that they’re willing to, we’re not just going to decide for them) or multiple artists may be paired up on longer fics. that would obviously lighten the workload for the artists, and would probably only be something that happens with Mega Bangs, but as we don���t know what participation is going to look like yet, we can’t be sure.
the biggest blog we currently have signed up for our bang is @misha-moose-dean-burger-lover (she’s signed up as an author and has over 3k followers on tumblr). we also currently have @specialagentrin signed up as an author, and we may or may not (not guarantees yet) end up with @soleeryx making art for us.

He took on more and more jobs, spending more time away than at home, and taking the bare minimum in terms of breaks. So when Castiel got a chance to work on the same film set, designing the costumes and spending the next couple of months in Montana with Dean, he jumped at the chance.
When Dean just acted even weirder, and Dean’s co-star Bela seemed to spend more time with Dean than Cas did, he started to see his perfect life crumbling around him.

Hello lovelies of the tumblr world, this is Mod Dean here to announce that we are in desperate need of artist sign-ups for the Castiel Bang!
Okay, maybe ‘desperate’ is a little overboard but we currently have 22 authors, at least 2 of whom will be creating multiple fics, and we only have 16 artists to cover them. I’m scared of overwhelming our poor artists by leaving them with so many fics to make art for. Several of our authors are planning Mega Bang fics, as well, which require at least 3 pieces of art (as outlined in the rules).

Cas Bang Sign-Ups Open Now!
The 2020 Castiel Bang is open to artist, author, and beta sign-ups! If you love Cas (or Misha) and wanna write about him to your heart’s content, this is the event for you. All are welcome here!
Sign-ups are open now!
We have three categories for participants; a mini-bang, a big bang, and a Mega Bang.
For authors, a mini-bang is 5k words, a big bang is 10k words, and a Mega Bang is 15k words. For artists, a mini is one piece of art (minimum 400x400), a big is 2 pieces of art, and a Mega is 3 pieces of art.
These are all the rules of the bang.
Sign-ups for authors close on the 15th of August, for artists they close on the 31st of December, and final posting begins on May 15th!

Cas Bang Schedule Update!
Hello my lovelies! I’m sorry for being so behind on this, but I wanted to let you all know that the schedule for this Bang has changed!
Writers: you are to submit your information between now and Wednesday. I’m giving you a large window, so I’m gonna be pretty hard-ass about the midnight (PST) cutoff.
Artists: Wednesday morning (which may not be Wednesday for you depending on your time zone) you will receive an email with the link to a PowerPoint presentation. Look through it and decide the number/s you’d like to claim. Try to have at least 4 in case you can’t claim the one you want. On Friday morning (see the above comment about timezones) the Google Form will open up. The sooner you submit your answers, the more likely you are to get your first choice. There will be an announcement on the tumblr and the Discord when the Form goes live.
Here’s a link to the Discord because I cannot recommend it enough, it’s the most effective way to get information from or to get in touch with your Mods, as we’re much more active on Discord than on the tumblr.

Pinch-Hit Sign Ups!
Attention all Cas Bangs followers: we are finally opening up the floor to pinch-hitters!
For those of you who may not know, a pinch-hitter is someone who finishes a project for someone else should they be forced to step out. Pinch-hitters will have to be very flexible and able to step in at a moment’s notice. The content of what will be asked of them may vary based on the circumstances.
Pinch-hitters will not be assigned to projects that are withdrawn before claims. If someone must withdraw from the bang after claims, whether for personal, medical, or other reasons, a pinch-hitter will be requested to finish their project for them. Depending on what percentage is completed at the time of dropping out and how long is left until the deadline, requirements may be adjusted on a case-by-case basis for pinch-hitters to still be able to hit all the marks.
