Patrice Émery Lumumba is a political and legal thriller based on the true story of’ Lumumba.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
The working class boy who dared to rise against the Belgian colonial rule in the struggle for an independent Congo.
The fight itself is portrayed in every conceivable way about precisely Lumumba’s brief political career – from he in 1960 became the Democratic Republic of Congo’s first lawfully elected prime minister, until in 1961 he was arrested, tortured and killed in a brutal military coup led by Colonel Mobutu.
https://soundcloud.com/user-224011656/patrice-emery-lumumba
Congolese Pan-Africanist and independence leader, Patrice Émery Lumumba, who served as the first Prime Minister of the independent Democratic Republic of the Congo from June until September 1960, true Son of Africa!
Patrice Émery Lumumba is a serious and visually piercing story with sometimes grotesque political images and already here we have an idea that this political story will be revealed as time goes by; there are well-hidden secrets, and there are two soldiers who, in the shelter of the darkness of African bush, tried to erase traces of wrongdoing Africa and the world can not yet fully grasp the extent of, or of which Patrice Émery Lumumba himself formulated: Africa will write its own history and in both north and south it will be a history of glory and dignity …
Grotesque political correction
The deaths shocked an entire world and since then it has been speculated whether the killing was involved with powerful big business interests involved.
– what will shed new light on this case when new material including police interviews of former mercenaries and what he experienced in the Congo at the beginning of the 1960s in the city of Elisabethville in the south of Congo – this city is now called Lubumbashi – and what happened after the murder was a major cover-up where there were several errors in the official police report.
https://soundcloud.com/user-224011656/wasup-wasup
Patrice Émery Lumumba had enemies and both British and the Americans thought he was naïve to the interests of the USSR in Africa while the Belgians thought he was threatening their business interests and the mercenaries who spiced up in Africa at the time, he thought threatened their lucrative business for conflict minerals; they behaved brutally and were paid in diamonds.

Skyline AI raises $18M Series A for its machine learning-based real estate investment tech
Skyline AI founders Iri Amirav, Or Hiltch, Guy Zipori and Amir Leitersdorf
A mere four months after coming out of stealth mode with $3 million in seed funding, real estate investment startup Skyline AI announced that it has raised an $18 million Series A. The round was led by Sequoia Capital, a returning investor, and TLV Partners, with participation from JLL Spark, a division of real estate investment management firm JLL. The strategic funding will allow Skyline AI to add more asset classes to its platform, which uses data science and machine learning algorithms to help institutional investors make better decisions about properties.
Skyline AI says its technology is trained on what it claims is the most comprehensive data set in the industry, drawing from more than 100 sources, with market information covering the last 50 years. Its technology is meant to provide faster and more accurate analysis than traditional methods, so investors can react more quickly to changes in the real estate market.
Co-founder and CEO Guy Zipori told TechCrunch in an email that the startup decided to raise its Series A so soon after coming out of sleath because of positive response from investors, adding that the round was oversubscribed. “The timing of the round also worked out perfectly with our current deal flow and expansion plans. The round was significant, putting us in a great position to move forward,” he said.
Skyline AI has had a busy few months since emerging from stealth. In June, it teamed up with an unnamed partner in the U.S. to acquire two residential complexes in Philadelphia for $26 million. Zipori said they decided to make an unsolicited offer after Skyline AI’s platforms determined the properties were being mismanaged. Then in July, Skyline AI announced a partnership with Greystone, a real estate lending, investment and advisory firm, to collaborate on improving the dealmaking and loan underwriting processes.
JLL and other strategic investors in Skyline AI’s Series A will allow the startup to add analysis and underwriting for new asset classes, including industrial, retail and office properties, to its platform. “This in turn will enable us to deepen and strengthen cooperation with the leading commercial real estate investment firms across the U.S.,” said Zipori. Some of the capital will also be spent on growing its research and development, data science and AI teams in Tel Aviv, and its recently opened sales and real estate office in New York.
In a press statement, Sequoia Capital partner Haim Sadger said “Over the last few years, we’ve seen AI disrupt a number of traditional industries and the real estate market should be no different. The power of Skyline AI technology to understand vast amounts of data that affect real estate transactions, will unlock billions of dollars in untapped value.”

Exploring Dublin
Breakfast was delicious. The room was filled with bright sunshine and colourful cut flowers sat in the centre of the large table. Patrick and Catherine, the owners of the B&B are very nice, and they enjoy meeting people. We chatted with a couple of other guests. One couple is from northern Germany - the husband speaks some English. Rebecca, a medical student who is graduating....her heritage is half-Irish, half-American. She recommended we visit the Sandymount neighbourhood and the Chester Beatty Library near Dublin Castle. Grafton Street was much busier today. We walked the same route to Trinity College to visit The Book of Kells and The Long Room. This is a very popular attraction and the gallery room explaining the book was really crowded - people walk right in front of you. The Long Room was truly incredible. Books in this library collection are still used. We had our Marks & Spencer sandwich and salad lunch sitting outside Dublin Castle. The Castle exterior is large. Queen Elizabeth II stayed here in 2011, and was the first living British monarch to visit Ireland in quite some time. The Chester Beatty Library was magnificent. Chester Beatty made his fortune in the mining industry, and became a very devoted collector of best books, and art pieces from different regions of the world (Japan, China, the Middle East). He donated his collections to Ireland. Much of this collection is the best in the world. When we were finished, we walked through the Temple Bar area to the Liffey River, which separates the north and south of the city. There are many restaurants, bars and stores in Temple Bar. We walked along the river to the DART and took the train south to Greystones. It was a good thing to give our feet a rest. We returned on the same train, and spoke with a fellow originally from Mumbai. He has been living in Dublin for six months, is a Management Consultant, and had worked in Houston, Texas, before relocating here. We disembarked at the Sandy Parade station and walked through the Sandymount area. There were several stops of interest along the Sandymount Walking Trail. Lord Merrion's Wall along the seaside was very long. The Sandymount seaside promenade was great. We also walked past St. John's Church, the Martello Tower, Tram Yard, and An Cailin Ban (a sculpture created by a Mexican artist) The area is beautiful. We had dinner at Petes in Sandymount; it is owned and run by people from Calabria in southern Italy. We spoke with an Irish couple sitting next to us who provided us with some tipping hints....10% is a good tip!

RACHAEL LEIGH COOK AND GREYSTON HOLT MUST FIND THEIR WAY HOME IN ‘CROSS COUNTRY CHRISTMAS’ A NEW, ORIGINAL MOVIE PREMIERING DECEMBER 22, ON HALLMARK CHANNEL
Part of the Network’s Annual “Countdown to Christmas” Programming Event
STUDIO CITY, CA –December 1, 2020 – Rachael Leigh Cook (“Psych,” She’s All That) and Greyston Holt (“Batwoman,” “The 100”) team up to find their way home in “Cross Country Christmas,” a new, original movie premiering Sunday, December 22 (8 p.m. ET/PT), on Hallmark Channel as part of the network’s annual “Countdown to Christmas” programming event – your home for the holiday.
Lina (Cook) and Max, (Holt) both from the same small town in Colorado but never friends, are traveling from New York City back home for the holidays. That is, until a storm reroutes their plane. With no flights out, they work together to make it home in time, no matter the mode of transportation. The people they meet along the way, and the places they pass through, help them see Christmas – and each other – in a different way.
