1. Describe the plot in one sentence

A human with healing powers is born into a world that is split between killing and protecting werewolves that were the result from human experiments gone bad.

2. Pick one sight, smell, sound, feel, and taste to describe the aesthetic for your WIP

Sight: A forest so thick with trees that you can’t see light from the other side. There is no path to walk on even though there is a sign that says differently.

Smell: Snow-soaked soil. The more you smell, the more you can’t tell if the smell is intoxicating or rancid.

Sound: A crow’s call. The same call keeps coming from different directions.

Feel: Fur matted with sharp twigs that poke between your fingers.

Taste: Copper pennies that were burned in a coal fire.

I’ll do the main characters and the guard.

Elara: Pale blue skinny jeans, baggy sweaters and cardigans, black Sk8 Hi Vans

Milo: Black jeans, T-shirts, really worn leather jackets

Thatcher: Dark gray slacks, white button-up shirt, black dress shoes

Mitra: Modernized Viking clothes; lots of layers and lots of places to hide knives :-)

Rahna: Fitted gray long-sleeves, black jeans, biker boots

Evander: Levi’s, T-shirts, flannels

Theo: Cargo pants, band tees, Converse

13. Do any characters have any distinctive birthmarks/scars?

Elara and Rahna both have hook-shaped birthmarks. Elara’s is on her chest and Rahna’s is on her forearm.

Mitra has burn marks on their back from a fire that raged through their village in Sweden.

Shaddix has a sun tattoo on his nape and a small “T” on his forearm.

Milo has a scar through his right eyebrow.

Theo has a scar through his bottom lip and chin.

14. Which character most fits a character trope?

Milo fits the “bad boy that’s not good for me” trope. Rahna fits the “bitchy girl” trope. But they’re both fronts that they put up to protect themselves.

15. Which character is the best writer? Worst?

Thatcher is the best writer. He’s able to portray emotions in ways that are really impressive. The worst would be Evander. He finds the task meaningless.

16. Which character is the best liar? Worst?

Celesta is the best liar. She finds out how people view her and then uses that to manipulate them into doing things for her. The worst would be Theo. His eye twitches when he lies and gives him away.

17. Which character swears the most? Least?

Rahna swears the most. Evander swears the least.

18. Which character has the best handwriting? Worst?

Gideon and Elara are tied for best handwriting. Which makes sense because they’re both Virgos. Milo has the worst handwriting. Which makes sense because he’s an Aries lol

19. Which character is the most like you? Least like you?

Unfortunately, Rahna is the most like me. Cynical. Annoyed 24/7. And just wants everyone to let them die in peace. We would hate each other though because we’d be like “Why are you such a downer?” while doing the exact same thing.

Shaddix is the least like me. Optimistic. A morning person. Knows what they want in life. He would tell me to shut up, eat some vegetables, and get some sun.

20. Which character would you most like to be?

Milo. To be confident and excited for the future, and also incredibly dark and mysterious. That’s the fkn dream.

McCoy Tyner

Introduction :

J'ai cette superstition un peu conne de choisir précieusement mon premier morceau écouté de l'année.

L'année passée c'etait Dominoes de Donald Byrd. '' We'll stand our problems all in a row,Watch them fall, like dominoes'' c'était le mood de 2019.

Cette année c'était Wise One du légendaire quartet de John Coltrane, composé de John Coltrane himself, McCoy Tyner au piano, Jimmy Garrison a la contrebasse et Elvis Jones a la batterie. L'objectif de cette année c'était de faire que des choses réfléchies, des choix qui ont du sens.

Le 6 mars dernier McCoy Tyner, de son vrai nom Suliemon Saud nous a quitté.

C'était le dernier membre en vie du légendaire quartet de Coltrane des années 60, a qui l'on doit des albums comme Crescent ou A Love Supreme.

Je me suis rendu compte qu'il était souvent le dénominateur commun de beaucoup d'album de jazz que j'adore, ça va de Lee Morgan a Curtis Fuller, en passant par cet album avec Coltrane et Johnny Hartman que je conseille aux néophytes du genre. Je voulais lui rendre hommage parce que sa musique me touche, et que je trouve qu'on a pas parlé suffisamment de cette légende.

Quand on parle de McCoy Tyner on pense a son jeu percussif de sa main gauche de ses accords compliqués et de sa technique. Ici on parle même de 15-fingers technique. ce a quoi il répond ''wow, lots of fingers '' avec beaucoup d'humour et d'humilité.

Pourtant, quand il parle de sa musique, il reste très abstrait,parle très peu de technique, mais plus de sensibilité, de spontanéité. Spontanéité qu'on peut trouver sur A love supreme, qui a été composé avec très peu de préparation, ou tout simplement quand mccoy decide de monter sur scene pour un concert. Mon pianiste actuel, McCoy Tyner, assure les harmonies d'une façon qui me permet de les oublier. Il est en quelque sorte celui qui me donne des ailes et me permet de décoller de temps en temps.

Fact : il a même écrit pour les french horn et la trompette sur l'album africa/brass, Il a même pas eu les crédits sur la composition de ceux-ci et comme si ça suffisait pas il a été cité en temps que Mccoy Turner a la place de McCoy Tyner en temps que pianiste sur cet album.

Je trouvais que son histoire était aussi intéressante pour soulever la question de l'importance des médias quant a la carrière d'un artiste. Et ce que je trouve beau avec McCoy c'est qu'il a l'air d'en avoir rien a faire. Il est toujours resté concentré sur l’objectif de faire de la musique.

Il y a un très bon document qui traite de ce sujet, du traitement des média sur McCoy Tyner avec pas mal de sources, notamment des critiques dans les journaux, qui sont pas mal injustifiées et qui expliquent aussi pourquoi McCoy Tyner a eu une période de galère pendant 4 ans après avoir quitté le quartet de Coltrane. Il a même songé a faire taxi a un moment donné.

Malgré tout ça, il continuera a s'investir dans la musique, avec des super album en solo ou en groupe, ou il laissera s'exprimer justement ses talents de leader. Il aime le fait que les musiciens aient chacun un peu de liberté, mais une règle importante est aussi de savoir s'écouter les un les autres.

J’ai donc pioché dans ses albums un peu au hasard, Il me reste beaucoup de choses a écouter,McCoy ayant une carrière bien remplie sur le plan productif, entre ses albums solo, et ses albums en groupe, et je compte pas les albums ou il apparait en temps que pianiste. Voici une petite liste des albums que j'ai adoré, j'ai essayé de varier un maximum les sons !

1 : Trident - Land of the lonely

Ici McCoyTyner joue entre autres au Celesta, on a un son cristallin qui rend super cool !

2: Fly with the wind - Beyond the sun

Alors pour la fun fact on lui a posé la question : si vous aviez la possibilité d'envoyer un son de votre répertoire aux aliens, lequel choisiriez vous ? Il a répondu fly with the wind de l'album du même nom !

3. Horizon - Horizon

Je trouve qu'on ressent bien la puissance du jeu de McCoy dans ce titre !

4. Lonnie's lament - Soliloquy

Album solo de McCoy ! Obligé de mettre cette reprise parce que j'adore l'originale et que je trouve que la version solo au piano est grandiose aussi..

Je suis tombé sur cette question dans une de ces interviews et je voulais finir la dessus parce que je trouvais que c’était la meilleure conclusion que je puisse avoir dans cet '' article '' ( qui n'en est pas un btw.. j'aime juste parler de musique j'suis pas un journaliste )

Quand on lui pose la question de la mortalité, il quote Martin Luther King Jr :

I think we would all like to be immortal and be around as long as we can. But as Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “It’s not about how long you’re here, but the quality of what you do while you’re here that’s important.” And that’s what I try to do. I have a lot of work to do, a lot of writing to do. There’s just so much to do.

Voilà, au dela de sa musique, je trouve que c’est quelqu'un de très inspirant, de gentil, qui n'a jamais perdu son objectif de vue malgré les critiques.

Politics intervened: Hyundai and Kia are cutting production in China

Reuters, citing its sources reported that South Korean automakers Hyundai and Kia, members of the conglomerate Hyundai Motor Group, has sharply reduced the volume of production of cars in China. This is attributed to the conflict between China and the Korea Republic around Seoul decisions about the installation of the American complex to intercept medium-range missiles. In response, China, the largest partner of Korea in foreign trade, has unleashed a trade war. The official press of China has called for a boycott of Korean goods.

In March, sales of Hyundai and Kia cars in China, compared to the same period last year fell 52%. Meanwhile, until now, China was one of the most important markets for Koreans: last year China accounted for a quarter of sales of the concern Hyundai. Like other foreign manufacturers, Korean firms operate in China through joint ventures with local companies: Hyundai is a partner of BAIC Group, while Kia has partnered with Dongfeng group. In 2016, China sold 1 million 142 thousand cars of Hyundai and 650 thousand Kia.

But now in the local factories, Kia has reduced the number of shifts. Similarly, I had to do and venture Beijing Hyundai: c mid-March in three Beijing factories closed for the second shift. According to analyst Lee Myung-Hoon from the company HMC Investment & Securities, the transition to work in one shift — a rare step for Hyundai. next is aurora, she's the silent but deadly type. epitome of gay panic like she has no idea how she feels about sex she just knows she's attracted to a lot of ppl lol. autistic goddess and incredibly smart. loves astrology and art

middle kid syndrome is celesta, she's your typical e-girl witch ya know. acts like she could kill you (and she could) but is a total softy. island of lesbos. "problem child" cause she stands up for herself + has a temper

everett is the second boy, he's kinda the straight man of the group. sarcastic and goofy, LOVES dragons and famous wizards/witches. frat boy and golden retriever energy (even tho his sim looks dead inside lmao)

so in my head my mc (aka laura but braver) is married to barnaby and they have five kids together (and several pets ofc). barnaby is a magizoologist and i'm an auror/curse breaker/badass. we get married in 97 right before the 2nd wizarding war and have the first baby a year after it ends. we live in this cottage in the woods with a huge backyard and a lil river next to it. barnaby is the ultimate dad™ and we basically adopt all of our friends kids cause they're always over. we have a million grandkids and everyone lives close to each other so barnaby never doubts that he has a family who loves him
