WHO ARE THE MFS THAT VOTED FOR HISOKA???? WHY DOES HE HAVE 2 VOTES???????
Tumblr media
I have delusions that the 2 votes for Hisoka were from hisoillu and that's why, when they left to spill the tea about Alluka, Hisoka's not in the poll anymore lmao

I’m watching the Hunter x Hunter election arc and the whole dynamic between the final four is so entertaining. Because Cheadle and Cow Guy are trying so hard to outwit Pariston and get people to vote for Leorio. And Pariston is trying so hard to counteract them. And then Leorio’s just there with no idea how he even got there.

the seething so many hxh fans do over ging is abysmally lamebrained lol. he is so conceptually perfect how do u not fucking GET IT. like the entire story is building up to gon meeting him, he's just sort of haunting the narrative for a whole decade + of the manga's serialization and during that time we are led to believe he's this cool eccentric genius who people mostly respect & admire. then we actually meet him properly for the first time and turns out he absolutely fucking sucks shit and almost everyone who has ever heard of him hates him with such vigor that they almost make leorio the president of the H.A. just because he punched him in the face on live television. so what if he's a bad father literally who cares. even gon doesn't really care. you haters are such tasteless BORES. get gingpilled idiots

something that i love about gon is that i think he understands leorio more than anybody, hes always advocating for leorio's morals & ambitions. whenever somebody says something about leorio, gon is the first to counter and say that leorio wouldnt do that, hes going to become a doctor

Adult trio (seperately )and their reaction to female reader accepting their love confession ?
Fluff
Thank you for the ask! This one's gonna be a bit interesting, considering how these characters are not the type to confess their love in my opinion. It's not that fluffy, but I hope you enjoy!
Adult Trio react to their fem!s/o accepting their love confession
Hisoka
His version of a love confession is likely a death match, so I wouldn't really say that accepting it would be the best option?
This is unless he just wants to spend time with you as a more common form of a relationship. In that case, he may be a bit more solemn about the whole thing and say something along the lines of "I think I'm in love, whatever that is."
If you accept to his death match, expect it to happen either a) right away or b) as soon as possible. But, if you accept his more chill love confession, you might see him smile a bit to himself before muttering a quick "how delightful."
It's shockingly calm if it's normal. He's sort of like how he was when he was talking to Illumi on the blimp in the 13th Chairman Election Arc. It's probably the softest you'll see him
Illumi
He doesn't confess, honestly if he were to say he loves you he expects you to say you do as well
But, if you two weren't arranged by his parents and somehow got close to each other, he might just be upfront and tell you that you shouldn't exist because it's making him not be the perfect assassin. You're making his heart skip, making him less focused, etc.
If you accept his love confession and tell him that it's okay to feel that way, it might take him a while to get used to it. Know that it does feel nice to have someone love him though
But if you two were arranged, I'm not sure how he would feel. He would say "Of course you accepted, there wouldn't be any other possibility." It's a bit mechanic
Chrollo
Probably the only one who can make a genuine love confession without it endangering your life. HOWEVER! He could pretend to give you a genuine confession just to get something from you.
In that case, if you accept, he'll be polite and kiss you lightly on the cheek, thanking you for accepting his feelings. Not sure what would happen afterwards. If it works better to kill you off, then he may do so.
If Chrollo gives you a genuine love confession though, it's a lot more somber. He might almost tear up with how he acts, but you can tell it's genuine with how much of his usual calm demeanor sort of...disappears. He'll tell you he feels as though he can't live without you, etc.
If you accept his confession here, he will try to compose himself, but his younger, more bright self might show a bit and you may get a surprise hug from the boss (manga readers you know what I mean haha)

Gon is innocent but not oblivious and I think a lot of people conflate these things. I think it's important to make a differentiation here because it explains a lot about Gon's character.
Gon frequently demonstrates that he's acutely aware of how the people around him feel, about both himself and about other things, showing that he definitely isn't oblivious. He's innocent because, although he's aware of the existence of those feelings, he isn't necessarily aware of their implications or the context around them.
Just a few examples of Gon being perceptive of other peoples' feelings:
He has the awareness to be able to defuse the bomb that is Palm when she's upset that she can't go to East Gorteau
He tells Meleoron that Killua will probably be opposed to working with a new ally at first but will give in to him, which shows awareness of Killua's feelings
In the Election Arc, he demonstrates his understanding that Leorio wants to be a doctor more than anything, and isn't dazzled by the prospect of him being the Chairman of the Hunter Association, which is why he doesn't hesitate to say that Pariston should be the one to win the election
I think there's a possibility that Gon realized how much Killua loved him before even Killua came to realize his own feelings (evidenced by what he said during the dodgeball scene) - but I also think it's likely that he didn't realize that these feelings were more than close friendship in nature (or that they could be more than friendship), especially considering how little experience with friendship and other people his age he has.
And yes - he is impulsive and this leads him to hurt people (Killua), but this doesn't mean that he isn't aware (a prime example of this is that he is fully aware that he said hurtful things to Killua during CAA). He's young and, as of CAA, hasn't reached the age/point in his character development where he's capable of connecting his actions to their effects.

How old are Gon and Killua?
So this is a comment that has come up a bunch of times, especially since we know a year has passed since the hunter exam but the boys are referred to as 12 in the chimera ant arc... However, are they actually 12?
Tumblr media
Chapter 6.
Gon and Killua agree that they are both *almost* 12. Meaning that when the story begins, they are both 11.
Gon is born on May 5, and Killua is born on July 7, meaning that until Heavens Arena (Gon) and around when they stop by Whale Island (Killua) they are 11.
Tumblr media
Chapter 146.
We learn here that the hunter exam is at the beginning of the year, meaning the previous one was likely also in January. One year has passed.
Eventually the story proceeds, Greed Island arc is completed, and now the Chimera Ant Arc begins. This takes place for many months, and during this arc both Gon and Killua see their 13th birthdays.
Tumblr media
This is implied because of chapter 320 when the chairman election arc begins in August.
At this point, the boys are 13. So no, they are not 12 in the “you are light” scene.
However there is a big time skip of a year between election arc and the succession war arc, as the hunter exam has passed once again.
Therefore in the current timeline of where the manga is right now, the boys are 14.

recently finished reading hunterxhunter and im here to give my deepest and honest opinions
it was really well written and well played-out. the author is a genius, and i can tell that he puts in a lot of effort into the story. my personal favourite arcs are yorknew city and the chimera ant arc, although the 13th chairman election is a close second.
my favourite character is def kurapika. this man is smart, pretty, talented, skilled, and has good morals. please marry me
other characters i like include machi, gon, killua, komugi, biscuit, and feitan.
mereum was one of the best written villains i have ever seen. his character development as well as his growing affection for komugi is the SWEETEST THING IVE EVER SEEN although i cant say i was sad when he died. i was so glad it was finally over because i couldn't have withstood another chimera ant arc.
and of course: the ships
i've been looking through some of the most popular ships and i would humbly like to say my own opinions on them. killua x gon seems so basic, because it seems like people are shipping them just because 1. they are male and 2. they are the two deuteragonists. its been specified that their best friends throughout the entirety of the series, and i'd like it to stay that way. also, they're like, 12. (totally respect your opinion if you ship it tho, because i ship satosugu and its sort of the same situation) another ship i don't particularly like is kurapika x leorio. i love them both but again, i feel like they're getting shipped just because their male and yall are thirsty for bl.
one ship that i find is super sweet is pokkle x ponzu. its semi-canon and they've barely interacted, but itssosweetomgimgonnacryihopetheygetrebornhappily
and of course, mereum x komugi. love it. no more words.
one thing that i didn't really like about hxh is how fast it transitioned out of gon and killua to kurapika (succession arc). 1. where is killua 2. where is leorio 3. i would like to see a kurapika and gon interaction please 3. ging?????hello?????where this man at (if he's still with that rat pariston or wtvr his name is i will throw hands)
genuinely hope the author gets better soon! rooting for his recovery. and if he does pass away, i heard that his wife (author of sailor moon) will take over.
anyways you guys can expect some hxh fanart coming soon
have a nice day

I and a few others I’ve been talking to abt this have a theory that this ending is one he had planned (and then scrapped) aaaaaages ago, potentially even during or shortly after the Hunter Exam arc, since it doesn’t take into account most major characters or most major concepts & events (like Gon learning his nen and then losing it later or anything to do with the Dark Continent), hence why Togashi’s fine revealing it now. It’s out of date. None of it really tracks as having been come up with later on, especially not post-Chimera Ant & Chairman Election, and Noko hasn’t even been mentioned since the Whale Island chapters pre-Yorknew. I also don’t like that he told us this, since it’s not canon & also bad & I don’t see the point, but he did basically say “this is the ending over my dead body” lmaooooo
I've also considered that it could be a holdover from planning that happened towards the beginning of the series. Obviously we can only speculate because we'll likely never know the full background of this ending D, but to me it feels like something that would have fit in with how the series began (tonally, the setting, etc.), but it doesn't feel as similar in tone or meaning with how the series developed later on. It could have been an idea he had in mind towards the beginning of the series, and as it went on and things continued to shift, he realized it didn't particularly fit any more, so he dropped it. As a writer, this is the kind of thing that happens in stories all the time.
As with anything relating to this, we can only guess and wonder, but I personally think this is an interesting theory, and to me it would make sense, anyway. It's something I had in mind as well prior to you bringing it up.

7 minutes into the 13th hunter chairman election arc and i already rate this in the top 3 arcs of the show for the sole reason of having the apparent season villain rip Ging to absolute shreds about being the worst parent on the planet and BEING RIGHT.
