So the other day I was struck by the urge to relisten to an episode from season 1, and of course it had to be my all-time favourite, Episode 7: Root Systems. (I'm sorry, Parallel, I know I used to say you were my favourite, but I have to give up and admit it's actually your successor). The building drama of the race between the IGR agents' search and Sana's max-speed drive back to the Rumor is just so good, and then of course the defiant getaway followed by the agents' despondency - so I decided to turn it into a fan comic.

Yes, in my head no matter how completely impossible it might be Krejjh is standing in the doorway to the ship flipping off the Agents on the ground as they make their farewell. "But how are they piloting the ship?" you ask. WITH THEIR MIND, next question. Krejjh's second pair of eyes are of course underneath their goggles. (I originally drew Krejjh wearing suspenders and then I was like NO. NEON GREEN LEG WARMERS).

(I don't really have a consistent mental image of Krejjh in my head (though I always imagine the multiple arms and eye-pairs) but this version of them is definitely influenced by @rjmccabe's!)

And then at the bottom we have chibi McCabe comforting a very sad Park. Don't worry, Park, I'm sure your day isn't about to get any worse.

Okay, so "Freedom" protestors (who are protesting covid restrictions) have shut down Canberra's Lifeline Book Fair. It's a second hand book sale, most books between $1 and about $5.

The protestors have completely taken over the car park and are harrassing people who are wearing masks.

For the safety of the general public, the fair has been shut down.

The book fair is Lifeline's main source of donations, and without it, the already strained mental health call-service becomes strained even further. They have worked so hard throughout the pandemic to help will depression, anxiety and other mental health issues. Without the Book Fair, they're going to struggle to meet the needs of thousands struggling with their mental health.

Please, if you have anything to spare. Even if it's just a dollar, please donate to Canberra Lifeline Service. This is a service we can't afford to lose. It could mean all the difference, could save someone's life.

And she's just fucking Normal which is so fucking funny- it breaks me that Harley couldn't be in her life but when she STARTS,,, OH MANNNN,,, convinced Damian and her would be besties with " someone will die" " of FUN" vibes with Jon too!!!! Im. Dying. I'd love to hear your thoughts if you have any sjsjsjsjs

Omg, Lucy and Brucie, so cute they rhyme 💖💖💖 yes, and then Bruce and Harley will get all emotional over the Lucy/Damien/Jon trio, cos like, it'll be like when they were kids with Harvey! And then like, having family dinners, and Lucy calling Alfred grandpa, because Harley unironically calls Alfred "dad". I'm crying. THEY'RE A FAMILY! And like, Harley making fun of Bruce for dropping out of med school, when she went all the way to get a PH.D and them being super proud when one of the new trio goes to med school. I have a lot of feelings.

Oh and the shenanigans these children will get into, with like big brother Dick and/or Jason, definitely Tim, joining in or enabling. And Bruce and Harley can't even be mad, cos they lowkey/highkey thought it was hilarious, or did worse things when they were the same age together.

Like I'm insane about Cass having big sister bonding time with little sister Lucy, like taking this little girl under her (bat) wing and just uuuggghhh. Teaching Lucy sign language and how to read body language, especially if Lucy wants to become a psychiatrist like her mum to help give patients the best care, or become a vigilante like her. I'm such a slut for found family, you have no idea

I consider myself an ally. I'm not perfect, not a reliable source of LGBT+ info, and have lots to learn. I will always only use the first name of the characters (ex: thor and loki). In posts like these, I often also tag both characters’ names separately, so even if I don’t use this tag consistently, searching for characters this way should be a consistent way to find them.

sibling dynamics - for canon interactions between siblings, gifs from the source material, and general discussion of sibling dynamics. I don’t know why, but when I started this blog, it made most sense to me to make this a general tag and at this time, I am not motivated to make a specific tag for each pairing. If you want to see content for a specific pairing, I would suggest search “[ship name] and siblings dynamics.”

***I noticed while reorganizing my tags that not all my tagged posts popped up when I searched by tag, so I might not have gotten every post. I’m not sure what that’s about, and I’ll keep looking into that.

So. I know nothing about Encanto other than the base trailer info. I gotta say, the more I know about the family aside from the main character and her being best friends with the house, the more I'm rooting for them to all lose their gifts. Especially regarding Bruno, the uncle who they don't wanna talk about and shunned.

Also predicting it now, main characters gift is gonna be something sappy (determination, kindness), a last minute save for the big finale, or irrelevant (you didn't need a gift to do all that, why are you so down?).

Based upon Mirror Man from OPAL, a childhood surreal horror and musical short by Jack Strauber

-Mirr-israble Dream Eater -

A Dream Eater that surrounds its face with a screen of mirrors and fusses with its unseen features. It attacks passerby because it does not want to be seen "before its ready" but who knows when thatll be since its been reported to have facial parts falling off that it needs to re-attach with its extending arms. Its possession causes high amounts of vanity, and its Bad Ideas take the form of its tools it uses to fix its face, enabling and secretly wanting it to damage its own features further.

Sometimes, thoughts keep me up at night, like what if the awesome @lynxgriffin comic "Paper Trails" (CHECK IT OUT) started after chapter 2 how would things change with the updated info, how does the story continue after that awesome cliffhanger, or what would happen with the whole Spamton G. Spamton bit now that every chapters gonna have those dark crystal holders?

This is their version of Berdly in the Chapter 2 armor that has been lodged in my head since I finished the comic recently. Enjoy!
