“With God, no problem is too big and no detail is too small.” —Woodrow Kroll
“4 Reasons Size Doesn’t Matter To God’ By ChristianQuotes.info:
“In the Small Things: Perhaps the reason God changed the Apostle Paul’s name from Saul’s name (which means “destroyer”) to Paul (which means “little”) was to remind him of his insignificance before a Mighty God. God spoke through Zechariah the Prophet and said, “For who has despised the day of small things? But these seven will be glad when they see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel—these are the eyes of the Lord which range to and fro throughout the earth” (Zech 4:10). Remember Gideon’s army? Small verses thousands, but with God on your side, it’s no contest!
Power in Weakness: If we could only take to heart what Paul said, “I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong” (2nd Cor 12:10), then maybe we’ll stop trying to live the Christian life in our own strength. I found from experience that when I’m trying to be strong, I’m weak, but when I’m weak, only them can I be strong, but only through Christ (Phil 4:13).
He is Glorified: The Apostle Paul understood that God must receive all the glory because only He is worthy, so to make his point to a boastful church, Paul asked the Corinthians, “What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it” (1st Cor 4:7)? I did the math and here’s what I came up with that I didn’t receive from God….zero! That’s it! None of us can boast or brag about anything because anything we have comes from God’s gracious hand and so He should always receive all the glory for anything we do; All the glory to you Lord and none to us.
Big God, Small Problem: If we have a huge mountain-sized problem, we have a small God, but if our God is big, no problem is of major significance. Jesus gives us the best of advice: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matt 11:28). I would usually get some rest and then come to Jesus, but I noticed, I still had my burdens. He will not make us come to Him…we must come to Him on our own, and He says, “Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matt 11:29).
Conclusion: God never blinks an eye at huge, monumental problems because He made the mountains, and since He made the mountains, they must do what He commands them to do, and if it’s to be tossed into the sea, so what!? He’s God. He can do what He wants….and size doesn’t matter to Him. Does it to us?”

bel and harry in venice???? 🫶
okay, because i love you here's a bit of the red carpet
(this is in relation to my story love on tour)
______
79th Annual Venice International Film Festival
The red carpet and all who walk are where the attention is, and today we'll be speaking about what we see for the premiere of Don't Worry Darling. We will discuss who's here, what they're wearing, and all the hot gossip. All around, cameras are scattered around, an endless amount of cameras, and the cheers only seem to be getting louder the more guests we see enter. It all goes by smoothly, and honestly, everyone is waiting for the stars of the night, Florence Pugh and Harry Styles.
The crowd is wild, and we know it has to do with a particular pop star walking down soon. Harry Styles is set to walk alone, bringing his team with him to support. Let's hope he stops for an interview. The biggest question we all want to be answered is if he and Y/N Belmonte are still dating. We have stopped seeing them together, no more visits at love on tour, and for Belmonte's red carpet, she's been wearing Valentino, not Gucci, for which Harry is the face.
First of the cast to walk the red carpet is Director Wilde in a bright yellow dress, sure to capture everyone's attention. As she wants to be seen as the start tonight. Followed right after by Gemma Chan and Chris Pine, who make quite the duo, these two have been fan favorites as they are husband and wife on-screen and here in Venice show a united front.
There are shouts of their names as they greet fans and walk to the end of the carpet, awaiting the rest of the cast to arrive for photos.
Familiar faces cross our path as Nick Kroll, and Lily Kwong walk the carpet hand in hand. Kwong stuns in a purple dress while Kroll wears a blue suit. His wife was shining brighter than him on the carpet.
Up next is the man everyone has been waiting for, Harry Styles. He is wearing a custom Gucci look featuring a deep blue double-breasted suit and a long sleeve shirt with an oversized collar. He has on Gucci square sunglasses from his HA HA HA collection set to launch next month. He did not come to play. Also, he arrived alone, even though we all know Ms. Belmonte has been at the event for the past few days. The fans go crazy as Harry goes up to them; quick photos and signatures are enough to keep them cheering. There's nothing like Harry Styles fans who are dedicated and always ready to support him in all he does.
The star of Don't Worry Darling, Florence Pugh, is wearing a Valentino dress made for a leading lady. She poses on the red carpet in a shimmery creation featuring voluminous balloon-styles sleeves and a stunning split front. The sheer overlay is scattered with round, star-shaped silver sequins finished in a sweeping train. She wore her hair in a simple, slicked-back wave, and honestly can, she hand over her stylist's number because she indeed was a dream. She accessorized her glam gown with black heels featuring a bow at the ankle, and dramatic feather trims up her leg.
Making a late arrival is Y/N Belmonte, and honestly, it's clear why she's so loved. She walks with grace, a timid smile on her face as fans begin to wave. The cast sends her a wave as she goes to greet fans instead of interrupting the cast photo taking place. The cameras follow her every move, trying to look at her stunning outfits. She's wearing Christian Dior, a tight fitting black suit with silver embellishment that make her look like she’s shining. It’s closed with a diamond broach showing just enough cleavage for a red carpet It's clear she held back because of her three red-carpet looks. This might not be my favorite. But of course, she was the leading lady for those two premieres and is now here to support the cast.
As the wonderful cast breaks away, the cast mingles together, hugging and taking photos. While Belmonte didn't linger long to have her photo taken, she did make her way over to Florence Pugh, who welcomed her in a warm embrace. The two ladies have acted alongside each other in Little Women and have competed for similar roles, but it's clear their friendship remains strong.
Styles and Belmonte don't cross paths, but her stare lingers on him for a second when Styles turns and meets her eye. It's clear by the tension that something has happened. Let's hope we find out.
Belmonte walks off after chatting with Chris Pine, who she allowed to take a photo of her. She moves to the edge, and right as the camera turns away, we see her approach Harry's team, who all look dapper and full of smiles in support of Styles. She hugs them all individually, all of them beginning to talk at once, trying to get her attention. She's good friends with them all.
Our attention stays locked on her as someone from Styles' team takes her hand and has them twirl for her. They seem to love the outfit just as much as we do.
The stars are heading in, and we have not one interaction with Harry and Y/N.
The camera zooms in as Harry walks toward his friends, including Belmonte. He comes from behind and rests a hand on the small of her back; when she turns, the smile she gives him is bright. He whispers something causing her to nod and lean into his arms, wrapping him in a hug. Their friends have their phones pointed at them, taking photo after photo just as the fans and photographers seem to be doing.
A security guard comes for Harry, and before he leaves, he leans in to give Y/N a quick kiss, which leaves us shocked but allows us to confirm that Harry and Y/N are still going strong despite all the tabloids.
Safe to assume that we'll be seeing a lot more of our favorite couple later tonight.

In Mel Brooks’ ‘History of the World Part II,’ Jewish jokes reign | The Times of Israel
"And thus the First Council of Nicaea, a gathering in 325 C.E. that is considered the birth of Christian antisemitism, gets the Mel Brooks treatment in “History of the World Part II,” the long-awaited sequel to the classic Mel Brooks film that revolves around Jewish history — and skewers it. The new four-part series even has a Jewish premiere date — March 6, the eve of the merrymaking holiday of Purim."

So Jewish. So incredibly wonderfully meshuga.

Also, I'm still giggling over Kugel Invite.

“Never give up on God because He never gives up on you.”
—Woodrow Kroll
“3 Reasons God Doesn’t Give Up On Us” By Jack Wellman:
1. He is Faithful to His Word.
In the very last letter of the Apostle Paul’s life, he wrote, “I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me” (2nd Tim 1:12) and in glorifying God, Jude wrote: “Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy” (Jude 1:24). God is faithful to His Word and Paul knew that nothing at all could separate him from God (Rom 8:38-39), no, not even death.
2. You’ve been bought with a Price.
Speaking of all Christians everywhere and in all time, Paul tells us that “you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body” (1st Cor 6:20) and since “You were bought with a price; do not become bondservants of men” (1st Cor 7:23). Jesus shed His blood for us so do you think He made a mistake in saving us? No, Jesus as God is perfect in every way, so don’t give up on God because He never gave up on us, even willing to go to the cross and die for us.
3. Never give up on Him.
What does it look like when you give up on God? You stop praying, you stop reading your Bible. You stop worshiping and fellowshipping with the church, and you become isolated. That’s makes you more vulnerable to the enemy who is roaming around like a lion, seeking whom he may devour (1st Pet 5:8). There truly is safety in numbers but more than that, there’s safety under the care of the Good Shepherd Who Himself protects those of His fold. It’s not good to be outside the fold. It’s a bit dangerous out there.
Conclusion
Whenever you feel like giving up on God, think about your eternity, when you will finally see God, face to face (Rev 21:3, 22:4) and enter into the New Jerusalem. By then, Romans 8:18 will make a lot more sense, which says “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”

GAMING MUSIC ARTIST THEFATRAT REVEALS THE BEGINNING OF HIS EPIC SAGA WITH A HEARTENING NEW SINGLE “OUT OF THE RAIN”
Tumblr media
Coming off the high of his recent hypnotic single “Monkeys,” gaming music legend TheFatRat, popularly known for his immense online following of over ten million fans, has released his new single “Out Of The Rain.” The irresistibly hopeful new single features vocals from breakout alternative electronic singer-songwriter Shiah Maisel and culminates with an exciting brass-filled ending.
The tune begins to reveal the much anticipated beginning to his epic saga and is now available on all DSPs and streaming services, and is free to use on Social Media like YouTube and Twitch, true to TheFatRat’s tradition to make his songs available for creators without the hassle of demonetization.
Listen in here: https://open.spotify.com/album/2lz42JvrrwvTr4yKYpODLY
With his second release of the year, the go-to-artist for Esports brands like ESL and Dreamhack has returned with an inspiring single dedicated to people going through a hard time. “Out Of The Rain” is a song that acknowledges our continued perseverance, even when things get hard. Fans may have noticed that the artwork of TheFatRat’s releases are connected and tell a cohesive story. Now, “Out Of The Rain” and the following songs will provide fans with the much anticipated beginning of this epic saga both through the artworks and the lyrics telling the story of two siblings; a girl with her younger brother, living under dire circumstances in the slums of a futuristic city, hoping for a better life.
“It’s a song about hope…We all have been in circumstances that feel unbearable but at the same time impossible to escape from. The song is about how you keep going and stay alive in such situations.” - TheFatRat
Known for his production and leadership in the gaming community, with his music being used in popular video games like the top-grossing Dota 2, Rocket League, Rolling Sky and Game For Peace, you can instantly hear the subtle influences of his tried and true sounds on the track. Opening with a bubbly beat paired with a lighthearted drum sequence, the diverse sounds lead to a one of a kind listening experience as the song goes on. As the energy of the music escalates,  the bass drop approaches and listeners get the feeling that if this was a video game they are preparing for the boss battle. “The hardest part in “Out Of The Rain” were the drums,” said TheFatRat. “The drums in the first demo were ok, but didn’t quite have the bounce I was looking for. I ended up working over two weeks, full time, every single day to get them righ
With Queens, NY born alt-electronic singer-songwriter Shiah Maisel’s strong vocals accompanying the beat, listeners are exposed to a truly unique audio-sensory moment across the song. Shiah has amassed over 110 million streams on Spotify alone through his very diverse music including popular songs like “Really Love You” feat. AFROJACK, “Not Coming Home Tonight,”, and collaborations with Laidback Luke, Kayzo & more.
"When Christian first showed me the song, I instantly knew these lyrics were ones that I wanted to sing. With such a deep and inspirational message that many can relate to, the world is in a vulnerable place, and the hope the song brings is very needed today…I’ve looked up to [him] for many years, and to be able to record with Chris in the studio was a dream come true. Everything flowed perfectly, and I’m so excited to inspire the world with this special song.” - Shiah Maisel
TheFatRat started 2023 off with a surprise, giving fans his own deep vocals on the long awaited track “Monkeys.” He capped 2022 with his December release of “Back one Day” featuring NEFFEX, the vocal version of his globally trending instrumental “Xenogenesis,” which had accumulated over 250 million TikTok views and participation from celebrities such as Nick Kroll on The Tonight Show, Lil Nas X, and massively popular YouTuber Collins Key. Prior to that, TheFatRat released “Ghost Light,” the seductive and saxophone-heavy trap-leaning collaboration with award-winning K-Pop band EVERGLOW.
TheFatRat’s highly-anticipated lore-filled debut ten-track album PARALLAX was released in September 2021. As is still a tradition, each song from the album was premiered on YouTube followed by an interactive Discord chat hosted by TheFatRat with collaborators and thousands of his fans. The album, artwork, and lyrics from PARALLAX tell their own cohesive story filled with imaginative characters and fantasy settings that have been referenced in his past projects, with each single sharing new chapters of the story. This lore is a huge interest for his rabid fans, who speculated wildly on online forums about the meaning of each release and guessing what was coming next.

Kirk Douglas and Adolphe Menjou in Paths of Glory (Stanley Kubrick, 1957) Cast: Kirk Douglas, Ralph Meeker, Adolphe Menjou, George Macready, Wayne Morris, Richard Anderson, Christiane Kubrick, Jerry Hausner, Peter Capell, Emile Meyer, Bert Freed, Kem Dibbs, Timothy Carey, Fred Bell, John Stein, Harold Benedict. Screenplay: Stanley Kubrick, Calder Willingham, Jim Thompson, based on a novel by Humphrey Cobb. Cinematography: Georg Krause. Art direction: Ludwig Reiber. Film editing: Eva Kroll. Music: Gerald Fried. Kirk Douglas gives an uncharacteristically restrained performance in Paths of Glory, but the real star of the film is director Stanley Kubrick, who lends the big battle scene a kind of choreographed intensity. Kubrick had begun his career as a photographer for Look magazine and had been his own cinematographer on his early short films and his features Fear and Desire (1953) and Killer's Kiss (1955). Although the cinematographer for Paths of Glory is Georg Krause, it's easy to sense Kubrick's direction as he anticipates the battle scene's relentless motion with long takes and tracking shots in the earlier parts of the film, when the camera observes Gen. Broulard (Adolphe Menjou) persuading Gen. Mireau (George Macready) to commit his troops to the suicidal assault on the German-held "Ant Hill." We follow Broulard and Mireau as they move through the opulent French headquarters (actually the Schleissheim Palace in Bavaria), circling each other as Broulard plays on Mireau's ambition and overcomes his resistance, Then we move to the trenches, a sharp contrast in setting from the palace, where the camera tracks Mireau as he walks down the long narrow ditch, greeting soldiers in a stiff, formulaic way and berating one who is stupefied by shell shock as a coward. The tracking shot of Mireau's tour of the trenches is then repeated with Col. Dax (Douglas) in the moments before the suicidal assault on the Ant Hill, although this time the air is full of smoke and debris from the shelling. Then Dax goes over the top, blowing a shrill whistle to lead his troops, and we have long lateral tracks punctuated by explosions and falling men. Film editor Eva Kroll's work adds to the power of the sequence. If the acting and the screenplay were as convincing as the camerawork, Paths of Glory might qualify as the masterpiece that some think it is. Douglas, Menjou, and Macready are fine, and Wayne Morris and Ralph Meeker have a good scene together as members of a scouting party on the night before the battle, in which the drunkenness and cowardice of Morris's character has fatal consequences. But the scenes in which the three soldiers court-martialed for the failure of the assault face the prospect of the firing squad go on much too long, and are marred by the overacting of Timothy Carey as the "socially undesirable" Private Ferol and the miscasting of Emile Meyer, who usually played heavies, as Father Dupree. (Carey was actually fired from the film, and a double was used for some scenes.) And the film ends with a mawkish and unconvincing scene in which a captured German girl (the director's wife-to-be, Christiane Kubrick) reduces the French troops to tears with a folk song. Paths of Glory has to be described as a flawed classic.

Simone biles a quitter
Tumblr media
Of course, this brings to mind the preparedness+opportunity=success equation, or as Christian Grey told Anastasia during their interview, “I’ve always found that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have.” You networked with the right person who featured your book in their newsletter, or you courted the right book blogger at just the right time, or you applied for a BookBub featured deal, and the guy going over the submissions was in a good mood that day and approved yours. But along with that hard work is the need for a little luck. You don’t get anywhere without hard work, and that can be said with just about any profession out there, some more demanding than others, such as doctors, lawyers, engineers. The unrelenting Go! Go! Go! attitude can get exhausting, and I take responsibility for my part in it. I see this a lot in the writing community, and even have been a part of it myself. I doff my cap to those writers who have found some success to all who achieve their goals, and wish good fortune to those who are still working towards them. There’s no doubt that talent and hard work is important, but the bootstraps mantra is a poisonous misrepresentation of the real world. No, it’s not impossible, just much harder than people think.īeyond the obvious Trumps and Kardashians there are plenty of examples in the artistic and entertainment fields of those who perhaps had their bootstraps yanked up before they got started: Bradley Cooper, Taylor Swift, Paul Giammati, Emma Stone, Rashida Jones, Lady Gaga, Carly Simon, Nick Kroll, Rooney Mara & Kate Mara, Lana Del Rey, Robin Thicke, Kyra Sedgwick, Armie Hammer, Julie Louis-Dreyfus, Salma Hayek, Adam Levine, Edward Norton, Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, Tori Spelling, Bryce Dallas Howard, Balthazar Getty, Chevy Chase… the list is long. At which point JK Rowling is usually brought up. To become a successful writer is very difficult, especially if you’re doing it alone. This is even true of artists and creators.Īs a sometimes writer, the whole landscape has changed in the world of writing and the belief is you just have to be talented, lucky… and teach yourself the skillsets of three or four jobs that used to be done by three or four different people. People who become successful, often require luck, good timing, or a little help. Nowadays, I’d argue those opportunities are fewer and further between. I don’t doubt there was a time when the opportunities were more readily available for a few hard-working souls to make enough money, not just to live on, but to be considered a successful person. This suggestion is often given unironically by people in privileged positions. The general concept being: you struggle because you don’t work hard enough. The “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” attitude is constantly leveled at people who are struggling. My friend Gareth posted an interesting think piece on his FB Author page, and I’ll quote it here (with his permission) because I think it’s something worth talking about: "I just kind of go along with it, but it was something bigger than me in that moment.Do you consider this a harmful message? Taken from: "I feel like I push things under the rug," Biles shared. This was also the first time she ever dealt with something like this. "It's inside my of head so it's like they can't get a grasp of it because they can't see it so I get that that was hard but for me, I have to take a step back and work on myself," she added. Her mental health struggle also was not something that fans "could physically touch or see," so Biles admitted it might be more difficult for outsiders to understand. And sometimes, they don't realize we have things going on behind the scenes that affect us whenever we go out and compete." But the girls could see it and I knew that they would get the job done and that's exactly what they did so they won silver."īiles continued, "At the end of the day, we're not just athletes or entertainment, we're human too and we have real emotions. "Like, I've been through so much over the past couple years in the sport, like, I just don't quit. "It wasn't an easy decision so it hurts that people were like, ‘Oh she quit or she did this' because I've worked five years for that, why would I quit?" Biles explained.

They are not currently available in the App Store or Play Store.
#Ecosia tree card android
The TreeCard app for the Apple iPhone and Android smartphones will probably be available for download at the start of the payment option in early 2021. The wood cards will be sent from the beginning of 2021. You can find all the details and the option to secure a card on the official website. According to the company, 80 percent of the income goes into afforestation.
#Ecosia tree card Offline
This fee for the debit card payment, which is borne by offline and online stores, is then used to enable the management of the card and the planting of trees. As a credit card, it can also have pocket money ready for the children, which they can then spend or save.Įcosia makes money with the TreeCard by charging dealers and shops a fee for transactions. It is then used to pay for weekly purchases, visits to restaurants or online shopping. After receiving or registering in the app and linking to Apple Pay or Google Pay, money can then be loaded onto the debit card.
#Ecosia tree card free
The TreeCard is free for users (registration by December 1st) and free of charge. This is how the TreeCard from Ecosia works in detail By the way, you can also decide not to use a physical card, but only to use the TreeCard via the app created for this purpose and via Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay.
#Ecosia tree card registration
For this, however, a tree is planted for each registration via the link. It's a referral link, but I don't get a commission. You can get a free and fee-free TreeCard order on the linked page. One tree can be planted for every $ 60 in sales - that's currently around 51,25 euros or 46,45 British pounds. Ecosia's debit cards are made from cherry wood with a core made from recycled plastic bottles. Around 300.000 cards can be made from one tree, so that production does not counteract the goal of afforestation. The TreeCard, which can be used as a prepaid card wherever MasterCard is also accepted, comes from the London offices of Ecosia.

TreeCard will be partnering with fintech platform Synapse, a backend technology provider for banking and financial services, to connect with users in the US while for UK customers open banking will be used for deposit services.Sir Apfelot recommendation: Clean up your Mac hard drive with CleanMyMac TreeCard - One tree for every $ 60 in sales The company will provide challenger bank services like spending alerts, in-app card management, and bill splitting. Users are able to reserve their cards now with the US likely to be the first launch location, Cox said. "We will soon be able to help fight climate change simply by buying a round of drinks in the pub or by doing the weekly shop." "I'm thrilled that Ecosia users will have another way to contribute to the fight against the climate emergency with TreeCard," said Ecosia CEO Christian Kroll. "We approached Ecosia in January about funding because of the synergies and closed the round in the summer."Įcosia has 15 million users worldwide and is run as a B corp and is obliged to put its profits into climate change initiatives rather than into executives' pockets. "I used Ecosia a lot at university and thought 'Why don't we make a fintech version of this,'" Cox told Business Insider. Other founders include Peter Francis, who recently raised $250,000 for refugee camps across Lebanon and Iraq, and James Dugan. The company was founded by 23-year-old Jamie Cox, who previously exited an existing fintech venture called Cashew which went through Y Combinator. TreeCard says it will donate 80% of its profits from interchange fees - the main revenue source for challenger banks - to deforestation initiatives and will be free to use. Partnering with Ecosia means that for every £45/$60 spent on the card, the company can plant a tree and care for it for three years through the search engine's existing network of 38 tree-planting locations worldwide. In partnership with Mastercard, TreeCard will offer a brand new wooden debit card to minimise plastic consumption, made from sustainably-produced cherry wood from the UK and recycled plastic bottles. The startup has received $1 million in seed funding from Ecosia, the search engine which has planted more than 110 million trees. That's the idea behind TreeCard, a debit card made from wood launching in 2021. For some it might be cutting down on meat or flying less, but now people can potentially help fight deforestation with their debit card. #Simone biles a quitter how to#
#Simone biles a quitter how to#
I’ve said many times before, if I didn’t write romance I’d have no choice but to hire a cover designer because my time is more valuable than learning how to do a to-market cover for any genre that requires more than what I’ve taught myself to do. I may have spent as many hours learning what makes a good cover as I have writing because I can’t afford (don’t want to, and there is a lack of trust there, too) to hire out, and after watching tutorials and practicing I realize there’s potential for others to simply not be able to grasp those concepts. If we don’t excel in any of these areas, and we can’t afford to hire out to fill in the gaps of our own skillset, our books can fail. We do wear many hats–editor, graphic designer, copywriter. Then you hear that you shouldn’t publish until you’ve written a million words and who wouldn’t be discouraged? Gareth is correct in his author post, too. You can’t publish a book that hasn’t been written, and jokes aside that marketing is harder than finishing a book, finishing a book to some is the most daunting task. When it comes to publishing, or in Simone’s case, gymnastics, you do need to do the work.
