#cinderpelt my fail queen <3

I'm getting tired of the sly remarks to Cinderpelt becoming a medicine cat instead of a warrior. Fifth book in and I'm still getting the usual line, Fireheart couldn't shake off how Cinderpelt could no longer be a warrior or have a mate or have kits. SHE CLEARLY IS A GREAT MEDICINE CAT. So yea, maybe she was a fail queen two books ago when she had to learn to live with this disability, but she did learn! Yellowfang was a mean ol' granny, but clearly understood how well she adapted to the new role. It's not the worst depiction of becoming disabled, since you know in warrior cats society every able cat aspires to be a warrior and to lose that is everything and to find a new role that aids the entire clan in more ways than one is a great success story. Fireheart stays whiny for too long about Cinderpelt, imo.

I'd love to hear some ✨StarClan Slander✨ from you
starclan fucking sucks and i'm not afraid to say it.
ugh. where to begin.
okay, starclan sucks in a lot of different ways. like, a lot. it sucks from a narrative perspective, it sucks from a lives-of-cats perpsective, and it sucks from a worldbuilding perspective.
like: starclan is incredibly inconsistent as worldbuilding. it. gah. that part is most in my control when i write, so i try to really like. maximize said control. but if you compare the description of fireheart getting his nine lives to any modern starclan scene, it pisses me off. starclan is so fucking Cool, and now it's not.
i could go on for a while, but it's more of the same.
and then from a narrative perspective like. it causes so many problems. and i don't mean starclan causes problems for the characters, i mean starclan is simultaneously the cause of a lot of problems while the narrative wants us to believe they are the good guys. starclan causing problems? interesting. starclan causing problems but they're Very Good Actually? lazy.
this is a small thing but like it bothered in tbc? okay so. the fact that the clans' relationship to starclan has changed doesn't bother me. it's really interesting. they've been through this time of massive upheaval, something which often correlates with this uptick in spirituality.
i do not need convincing to believe that as the clans have gone through these past ten or fifteen years, with an exodus and the whole great battle (even setting aside the religious implications and just focusing on: big battle, lots of betrayal, lots of death), and everything with skyclan and darktail, yeah!
like, there was a spiritualism wave in the us after the civil war because that's what people/humanized cats do in those times. they latch on to spirituality and religion. why do you think witchcraft is on an uptick again in modern times?
however the problem is the Narrative never acknowledges this, which makes it feel not like an intentional culture change but authors being lazy. i'm not sure what's worse: authors just leaning on starclan because it's interesting and easy, or authors simply failing to convey the nuances of culture change.
whichever makes the erins sound better, pick that one. i have no lost love for them, but i try to keep my criticisms factual.
anyway, i digress, here's my favourite example:
in tbc, it's this Big Deal how the moonpool is the place of the medicine cats, and other cats cannot enter, Nope No Sir, which, like, really fucking confused me.
what?
do leaders not speak with starclan anymore? is that. is that not a thing?
i mean, in tpb, leaders visit the moonstone all the time. apprentices visit it before coming warriors. it's pretty normal.
and i'm fine with the culture of the clans changing for the moonpool to be a medicine cat exclusive: that does not fundamentally bother me. there's even the smallest nod to this idea in po3, during outcast, when they mention that the tradition of going to the moonstone/pool has fallen out of favour, and maybe that's bad.
and like, yeah, okay: i don't really understand Why it fell out of favour, especially in thunderclan. thunderclan had the Longest journey to the moonstone, and now they have either the shortest journey or one of the shortest, so there's really no excuse, but like. that's diaspora, you lose things, i'm okay with that.
what i'm not okay with is the sudden transformation of the moonpool to a Holy Place only Medicine Cats can touch. like, mothwing has been to the moonstone: she knows this isn't how it was. the others are young enough to not know, but then, when did this idea get started? who put it in their heads? why?
jayfeather has had so much pov, it wouldn't be hard to explain. he could've even taught alderpaw about it. or something could've been slipped into an early shadowpaw chapter. it really would not have taken much: a single line in outcast or something was all i needed to accept the moonstone/pool visitation tradition was dead (even if i think it should've continued), but unless i've forgotten, this is just. never explained.
this is how it Always Was (even though it wasn't, and there are cats who should Know it wasn't).
heck! heck! mistystar shared tongues with starclan in her novella. i don't remember where riverclan was during this scene in tbc, but my point is more. someone should've been able to say something. anything.
probably before the actual scene, given how few cats would know about this: bramblestar should since he was made a warrior in the forest territory, but i'll give the other leaders a pass. all i need is like. one line. from one cat. that's it. that's all i need.
finally, starclan obviously is uhhh. evil? it's evil, right, we can all agree? there is no evil starclan au we're In the evil starclan au, i should write a good starclan au.
the thing about this one is like. it's a product of the others. if starclan wasn't Real and Tangible, then like. then like. it wouldn't matter that they gave shitty advice and did terrible things, because now you just have cats dreaming of others, searching for answers in the Strict Code, and that would all make sense.
(did that paragraph like. read? i can't tell. basically, if starclan wasn't confirmed as a real thing with real dead cats, i would be fine with starclan cats being shitty and ooc, because now it's not actual cats we know and love, it's other cats' perceptions, memories, and inferences of them as they search their ancestors for guidance from the warrior code.
so of course their advice is going to be terrible and inconsistent and leafpool is going to decide spottedleaf said she should have kits and then starclan is going to backflip when the kits are born: all of that makes complete sense as long as starclan isn't an actual place. as long as it's just religion, just dreams and omens, there is no problem with that.)
and then if starclan like. if their role in the clans had been covered more thoroughly by the narrative. if how they gave shitty advice a lot was covered. i would also be okay with it.
but the best we get is mothwing's whole "yo uh. starclan doesn't save cats. i save fucking cats. give me my god damn credit for saving your fucking life." like that's a bad thing no. mothwing. queen. please continue ur so right.
and just as a cherry on top, the ableism in starclan is exhausting. it's its own thing, really, but like. i was talking with @foxstride about this. and like. how disabled cats will just have their disabilities erased.
personally, i'm okay with briarlight not being disabled in starclan. i think that makes sense for her character. i think it is Bad that the narrative's response to that was "now that she's dead she's finally happy again!", it should have been "thunderclan failed to give briarlight the actual support she needed to be happy", but the fact that she's not disabled in starclan doesn't actually bother me.
she was sick basically 100% of the time after her accident, and thunderclan was really shitty to her. do you remember how happy she was to "get" to sleep in the warriors' den? she was a fucking warrior that was her right.
thunderclan failed her, but the takeaway is "she couldn't be happy until she was dead and her disability was magicked away." that's bad. that's. i'm not okay with that part of it.
(briarlight deserves so much better than thunderclan.)
but for pretty much every other instance of it, there's none of that. maybe, maybe, you could make a similar argument for cinderpelt, but i would disagree with it.
my cinderpelt opinion is and always has been: she would never have chosen the path of being a medicine cat for herself, but she ultimately finds happiness and fulfillment with it. like, it wasn't right that she was forced to become a medicine cat because of her accident, but it was something she did ultimately enjoy and was happy to dedicate her life to. if she was given the chance to become a warrior after she had been a medicine cat for a while, she wouldn't have taken it.
it's part of why when i'm doing like. big time aus for warriors i still make her a medicine cat. because i like her growing to love it. i like that it's not right, how it happens, but she still loves it eventually. it's a very interesting idea to me that there aren't many characters to explore it through. jayfeather and alderheart are similar, but not in the same way. anyway i'm rambling because these are all the things i thought about when writing stolag, back on topic.
so i don't think cinderpelt should have her disability poofed by starclan, i think she should keep it. i also think that cats who are injured and then aren't disabiled in starclan should be representitve of that. they should be the age before they got injured.
briarlight should be apprentice aged, a hypo-cinderpelt should also be apprentice aged. this is something i'm fine with. i make hollyleaf apprentice aged in starclan because i think she was happiest before the ending of po3.
moving on: snowkit? can apparently hear? wtf?
and y'all already know how much i hate that jayfeather can see in his dreams. i said No that's Not Canon anymore and no one (no one) can stop me.
in conclusion: starclan is bad in a lot of ways, and if it weren't so damn inconsistently bad, i think i wouldn't hate it half as much.

anyway have some major points from my "Warrior Cats Rewrite" outline. long story short im rewriting the entire series bc i can, feel free to suggest things youd like to see :)
Overall:
-Please note that some of these bullet points dont make sense in the order theyre in bc i forgot to put them in chronological order and didnt have much time to fix it
-Each book has a different protag in a different Clan
-Some names, families, and pelt colours will all be switched around/changed
-Some characters will be aged up or down depending on when it makes sense to me for them to be born
-StarClan is fucking powerless. Instead these fiesty battlecats have a religion similar to greeks, with their main gods are based around the moon. Its considered super lucky for a kit to be born under a full moon, and naming a cat/kit "Moon-" is considered super disrespectful and can get both kit and mother shunned by the Clan or exiled
-WindClan never stopped tunneling
-Oakheart is still alive
-Assume no cats are related unless I state otherwise
-Lostsong, Wildblaze, Ferncloud, Ashfur, Brambleflower, and Tawnystorm are all related (Bramble, Tawny, Ash, Fern have the same father, Wild, Lost, Bramble, Tawny have the same mother)
-Acorn and Squirrel are Dust/Sand's kits, though they 2 are no longer mates
-The medicine cats cant have mates or kits rule is thrown out the window bc its stupid
Name Changes:
-Brambleclaw -> Brambleflower
-Tawnypelt -> Tawnystorm
-Sandstorm -> Sandstrike
-Firestar -> Sparkfern
-Leafpool -> Acornleaf
-Brightheart -> Lostsong
-Yellowfang -> Mirestorm
-Ravenpaw -> Ravensight
-Swiftpaw -> Wildblaze
1st arc (The prophecies begin):
- Protags are Sparkfern (ThunderClan, book 1), Yellowfang (ShadowClan, Book 2), Mistyfoot (RiverClan, book 3), Tallstar (WindClan, book 4), Tigerclaw (Book 5)
-1st book goes more or less the same with only minor changes until you reach the point where Sparkpaw was supposed to run into Mirestorm
-In this rewrite Brokenstar "out of the good of his heart" allows Mirestorm to stay in ShadowClan under 2 conditions. She gives up being a medicine cat and goes back to being a warrior, and she isnt allowed anywhere without a guard. She accepts
-Tigerclaw goes through with the plan to kill Ravenpaw but fails. Ravenpaw, terrified for his life, decides to switch to being a medicine cat
-WindClan hasn't been driven out, but only because Tallstar gave ShadowClan a good half of their territory
-Tigerclaw doesn't try any backhanded traps like the thunderpath one
-That being said, Cinderpaw still gets caught on the Thunderpath bc she wasnt paying attention to where she was going
-She still goes back to warrior training though bc this ThunderClan doesn't discriminate
-All the ShadowClan stuff happens a bit later than it does in canon
-Spottedleaf lives, but she's fucked up really bad (Blind in left eye, intense scarring on face and right side, unable to use back leg without pain, etc etc) and decides to demote herself as a medicine cat and mkve to the elder's den
-Ravenpaw still isn't fully trained, so ThunderClan enlists Barkface's help
-Ravenpaw ends up being named Ravensight sometime around the middle of the 3rd book
-Sparkpaw becomes Sparkfern around halfway through the book bc i dont try to pack what should be a month of buildup into 2 days so theres timeskips when theres nothing happening
-Sandpaw and Dustpaw become Sandstrike and Dustpelt before Sparkfern and Greystripe because they were apprentices for longer
-Tigerclaw kills Sparkfern by the end of book 1
-Tigerclaw tries to kill Bluestar, but she runs out of the den and Tigerclaw gets exiled
-Mirestorm decides to say fuck it and in book 2 pushes Brokenstar into the gorge in RiverClan territory
-After Redtail's death Whitestorm is made deputy
-Since WindClan never needed to be brought back Whiteclaw is alive now too
-Instead of Nightstar, after Brokenstar's death Blackfoot becomes Blackstar
- Whitestorm ends up getting killed so Sandstrike is made deputy
-On that note since Sparkfern is dead Sandstrike was Cinderpelt's mentor
-Both Swiftpaw and Brightpaw live, but both are heavily scarred and are renamed Deadspot and Lostface by Buestar
-Tigerclaw still leads the dogs onto ThunderClan territory, but instead of coming up with the canon plan they all live in fear until RiverClan decides that this is painful to watch and help out
-Deadspot and Lostface end up having a 2nd run in with the dogs and Bluestar looses her last life saving them
-Sandstar renames them Wildblaze and Lostsong
-ThunderClan don't actually hate Bramble and Tawny for being Tiger's kits, but they both feel irrationally guilty about it and that causes just as much of a strain
-Brambleflower is the one who leaves ThunderClan this time, while Tawnystorm stays
-Silverstream and Greystripe never get together. Feathertail and Stormfur are Silver and WhiteClaw's kits
-Also Leopardstar dies earlier and Stonefur becomes Stonestar
-Tigerclaw takes control of BloodClan and renames himself Tigerstar
-When Tigerstar tries to take over ShadowClan Blackstar tells him no
-Tigerstar tries approaching Stonestar for an alliance and the whole "shun half clan cats" thing, not knowing that Stonestar is a half clan cat (Bluestar still told both Mistyfoot and Stonefur the truth) and Stonefur tells him to get fucked
-tigerstar decides to merge with WindClan instead
-The whole fourtrees stand off still happens, but Brambleflower kills Tigerstar (who due to being a faux leader and not going to the moonstone only has one life)
2nd arc (The New Prophecy):
-Protags are Brambleflower (ShadowClan, book 1), Feathertail (RiverClan, book 2), Crowpaw (WindClan, book 3), Tawnystorm (ThunderClan, book 4), Nightcloud (WindClan, book 5)
-The cats that go on the quest are Tawnystorm, Brambleflower, Feathertail, Crowpaw, Squirrelflight, and Nightpaw (Nightcloud)
-Squirrel (who was born earlier than in canon and is therefor now already a warrior) follows Tawny on the quest
-Squirrel has a puppy crush on Tawny and she makes this fact painfully clear
-Nightpaw follows Feather around like a lost dog
-Crowpaw ends up dying instead of Feathertail bc Nightpaw was in danger
-Nightpaw becomes Nightcloud after the journey and develops a crush on Acornleaf
-She's torn between the two until she realizes Acorn doesnt feel the same about her (Acornleaf is in love with Mothwing in this rewrite bc i said so)
-Nightcloud is briefly devastated but then realizes that this makes things so much easier for her and starts dating Feathertail
-Tawny and Squirrel get together after 4 1/2 whole books of obvious pining
-Daisy is still there, but she only has one kit as the others have died (The living kit is Berrynose, now renamed Hay)
-Daisy gets in a relationship with Lostsong and Cloudtail bc thats my OT3 and bc i said so
-After loosing Hazel and Mouse she finds that she can't bring herself to get too attached to Hay so Tawny and Squirrel adopt him and Daisy just becomes that cool aunt™
-Insert a good 7 pages of Bramble freaking out that he's an uncle now
-Hawkfrost is still evil and traps Sandstar in a fox trap, but Mothwing kills him this time.
-Mothwing ends up badly injured from her fight with Hawkfrost and Acornleaf takes care of her
-Stormfur ends up dying
-Feathertail leaves RiverClan to be with Nightcloud
-Daisy/Lostsong/Cloudtail end up having Whitekit (wing), Rosekit (petal), and Honeykit (flower)
-Acornleaf and Mothwing become mates at one point and love each other very very much
-Mothwing is trans (comfort hc ive had aince forever, not purely for the sake of her and Acorn having bio kits i promise) and her and Acorn end up having Swanblaze (Hollyleaf) and Goldenfern (Lionblaze)
-since both Moth and Acorn are their Clan's only medicine cat neither can join the other's clan so Moth takes Swan and Acorn takes Golden
-a good 7 moon timeskip between arc 2 book 5 and arc 3 book 1
3rd arc (Power of Three):
-Protags are Mothwing (RiverClan, book 1), Crowstorm (WindClan, book 2), Goldenfern (ThunderClan, book 3), Littlecloud (ShadowClan, book 4), Swanblaze (RiverClan, book 5)
-[Everything that follows happens between TPB and the beginning of PO3]
-Since there's no "medicine cats cant have kits or mates" rule its common knowledge that Swan and Golden are Moth and Acorn's kits
-On RiverClan's side Graymist (who becomes a queen earlier here for the sake of convenience) nursed Swan alongside Sneeze and Mallow. Besides the feeding Swan spent most of her time hanging around and playing with Motha
-On ThunderClan's side, since Rosepetal is the medicine cat apprentice, Leafpool nurses and raises Golden. The entire Clan treats him like their kit though, especially his aunts Tawnystorm and Squirrelflight
-[Everything that happens this point happens in the actual arc]
-The 3 are Swanblaze, Goldenfern, and Crowstorm (Night and Feather's adopted son. He counts as part of the 3 bc Redtail (Sand's father) was half WindClan in this rewrite and his WindClan father also had Night and Crow's mother
-While both Swan and Golden knew they had a sibling in another Clan, they didnt officially meet until their 2nd gathering, when Moth and Acorn intoduced them to eachother
-Swanpaw met Crowpaw when Crow was chasing a rabbit and couldn't stop himself from falling into the river.
-Mothwing, who had taken Swanpaw on an outing to help her collect herbs, ended up saving him and bringing him back to camp while they waited for WindClan to come back and get him
-While Crow is intended to be Jayfeather's replacement here, he isn't blind. He is, however, deaf. He's still training to be a warrior though bc fuck canon
-Night, Feather, and Crow developed a sort of cat sign language they spread to WindClan to help make it easier for Crow
-It eventually ended up spreading to Bramble and Moth, who spread it to their Clans
-Different powers and shit
-Swan has a sort of foresight. She can tell whats going to happen a few moments before it happens. While she brushes it off as good instincts, when she develops it more later in the series her foresight stretches up to a moon in advance
-Golden still has super strength. He aint invincible tho cuz that was a horeible plot point
-Crow can see and speak to ghosts in the living world. Not just StarClan or dead cats, but any dead animal. If he wants to speak to a dead fox he 100% can
-The 3 still know about the prophecy due to Swan training as a med cat and accidently getting it (She eventually ends up dropping it and Willowshine becomes the med app instead)
-Sol comes in and then the eclipse happens
-Golden and Crow are 100% ready to trust this strange cat they met 2 days ago but Swan is like yo dudes wtf
-That whole plot point happens, Sol tries to go to ShadowClan, but Blackstar tells him to fuck off so he does
-Swanpaw ends up accidently killing him (tried to threaten him into leaving the Clans alone using the dunk and let breathe method, ended up drowning him). The guilt she feels from it is what causes her to drop being a medicine cat apprentice and become a warrior.
-Ashfur still had a crush on Squirrel and is extremely jealous of Tawny. He tries the whole fire scene thing with Haynose, but before he's even halfway done with his monologue he stops for 3 seconds, looks around him, and realizes just what the fuck he's trying to do
-He helps Squirrel and Hay out of the fire, apologizes profusely, and turns himself in to Sandstar, accepting whatever punishment she gives him
-Bramble 100% visits both Hay and Swan at least once a week. Sand and Stone have realized by now that stopping him wont work so they just allow it
-There's no huge gathering scene this time because there isn't a big secret to tell
-The arc does end, however, with Swan finding Stonestar's lifeless body laying in his den
4th arc (Omen of the Stars):
-[NOTE: This section is unfinished due to lack of ideas]
-The whole Stonestar's dead body thing is going to be addressed, but i just dont have any ideas for that so its not addressed for now
- Dove and Ivy are both spoiled rotten by their aunts and grandparents
-As such Dove gains a sorta "entitled" attitude. Like not full tantrum entitled, but getting moody/snappy when she doesnt get what she wants
-Ivy is the same way, just a bit less snapping and a bit more silent treatment
-Brambleflower!!!! Has kits!!! With Rowanclaw!!!
-Yes, I am a big fan of the trans Rowanclaw hc
-I am giving Bramble Tawny's canon mate
-why?
-bc its what he deserves
-Anyway, Their kits are Brindlekit/heart (Tigerheart), Dawnkit/shade (Dawnpelt), and Russetkit/tail (Flametail), who I am aging down bc in canon these 3 already have their full names
-Tawny and Squirrel 100% babysit from time to time
-Dark forest trainees stay the same, but this time add in Dovewing, Bumblestripe and Briarlight
-Haven't read, unable to make an outline
-Briarlight didnt make it in time to push Longtail out of the way, so Briarlight isnt paralyzed and Longtail is dead
-Bumblestripe still has a crush on Dovewing, but is way more lowkey and less "creepy" about it
-Swanblaze becomes mates with Minnowtail
-Acornleaf dies in the Last Hope
-So do Brambleflower, Goldenfern, Honeyfur, Graymist, Spiderleg, Applefur, Olivenose, Redwillow, Ferretclaw, Tallpoppy, Whitetail, Heathertail, Reedwhisker, Robinwing, Mosspelt, Pouncetail, and Dovewing
5th arc (A Vision of Shadows):
-[NOTE: This section is empty due to me not having finished this arc.]
6th arc (The Broken Code):
-[NOTE: This section is empty due to me not having read this arc]

Thought I'd do one of those Warriors Questions things just to get it out of the way. I won't make this too detailed as there are a lot of questions:
1) How'd you get into it?:
I was aware of the fandom for a long time but I never actually got into the series until last year. I finally ended up watching a short skit video about the three and Breezepelt stuck in the caves and I ended up hooked. Then I bought the first arc of books and the series consumed me.
2) Favourite character?
Squirrelflight. I've loved this cat ever since she was a scrappy little apprentice. She's just one of those characters who I love because she knows she's usually right and hates being told otherwise XD I'm so happy it looks like she'll finally get her nine lives.
3) Least favourite character?
Blackstar. I can understand why people like characters like Ivypool or Bramblestar (both I'm not fans of) but I have never seen what I'm supposed to like about Blackstar. I think he's to me what Breezepelt is to alot of fans, a character who is borderline evil and is just not a cat I can see any natural good in.
4) Favourite arc?
I love Into the Wild. It just has the best protagonist for me, also it was the best thought out in terms of a story. But... I am loving where The Broken Code is going!!
5) Favourite book (series):
The Darkest Hour. It has my favourite battle of all the series and it just gives the best story arc for Firestar. (And then he became boring as mud after that...)
6) Favourite Super Edition/Novella?
I'll answer both! Crowfeather's Trial - love the development for my angsty boy. Pinestar's Choice - I genuinely love this novella! It has heart, a genuine relatable situation, and I find myself reading Pinestar's interactions with the kittypets over and over again, I just love it.
7) Least favourite book (series)?
The Forgotten Warrior. SOL WAS WASTED AS A VILLAIN.
8) Least favourite Super Edition/novella?
Squirrelflight's Hope - I hate this book with every fibre of my being. Don't get me wrong I love my ginger queen, but I hate the sisters, I hate how Squirrelflight is treated, and I HATE BRAMBLESTAR SO MUCH!!! Kate Cary, I know you hate Squirrel but this was overkill man! This is my favourite warrior and you put her through an abusive relationship only to shrug your shoulders and forget it ever happened! You are seriously harming the chances of children knowing what to do if they encounter these verbally abusive relationships! At least Spottedleaf's Heart had its heart in the right place.
Speaking of which. Yeah, Spottedleaf's Heart sucked. Again, I do give Vicky credit in that she clearly TRIED to present the themes of pedophillia in a respectful light. But she failed. It isn't even Thistleclaw's manipulation of a child that presents him as a clear villain to Spottedleaf, that only happens when he kills in the Dark Forest. Again, really mixed messages. Still, I respect that the book had good intentions, it just got muddled up.
9) Least favourite Arc?:
Vision of Shadows. I hate the protagonists, I find the story uninteresting, and the only interesting part of the books (Darktail) feels underdeveloped. Seriously, he had SO much potential, I love the guy but he doesn't make up for the rest in this borefest.
10) Saddest death?:
Cinderpelt. It's like Vicky said, the moment in the beginning of Twilight is heart wrenching for me. The poor desperate cat just has to deal with the unfairness of reality. It hits me in the feels every time I read it.
11) Favourite ship? (Canon):
I love Firestar and Sandstorm - love my enemies to friends romance!
12) Favourite ship? (Non canon):
I feel most people would already know this, but Squirrelflight and Crowfeather. I just think it would have made an amazing, fun dynamic to see these two bickering kids from other clans slowly fall in love.
I also really like Ravenpaw and Barley :3 my two farm boys deserve each other xxx
13) Least favourite ships?:
I'll just put em all in.
Clear Sky X Starflower (IT'S F***ING CREEPY)
Firestar X Spottedleaf (They literally spoke like three times... She was alive for ONE book)
Lionblaze X Heathertail (sooooooo boring.)
14) What would you change if you could?
I would make Spottedleaf a villain. I'm just in love with the idea of her slowly plotting in the background, with hints of it shown through interactions in each arc, until it is all finally revealed in the battle in Omen of the Stars. It would certainly be more fulfilling than her kinda basic guide role in Firestars dreams. If she was trying to cause chaos due to her feeling that Starclan abandoned her by letting her die so young, making her use false prophecies in order to manipulate events in the real world, it would make a pretty interesting manipulative villain. It could have been the end all of plot twists! I don't know, I like the idea.
Okay I think that's enough. Hope you guys found my opinions interesting (you probably didn't) and if my opinion goes against yours, please don't think I'm trying to insult you. It's just my silly two cents after all. Keep on loving and hating what you like.
At least we all agree that we're Warriors fans!

20 Warrior cats questions
I wasn’t tagged, but i really wanted to do this challenge.
1. How did you get into Warriors?
When i was, maybe around 12 or 13, i was browsing through youtube when i stumble upon the SSS warrior cat animated series. From there i watched other animated projects related to warriors, i had no idea what was going, then i did a little research and discovered the series. And just a year later, i finally got my hands on Into the wild.
2. Favorite Arc?
Well, i haven’t read Omen of the stars yet, neither Dawn of the Clans (But i want to read it soooo badly!) nor Vision of shadows. Which leaves the first three series to choose from. I’m going to go with The prophecies begin, just because how well it is written. Maybe it’s because it’s the first series, but even today the story still holds up. I was so excited to start reading Power of three, but was kind of disappointed by the amount of filler it was put in. And i was really interested in the New prophecy arc at first but after they reached the lake, it kind of dragged from there. So the first series it is.
3. Favorite Book? (excluding mangas, super editions, novellas)
Oh that’s a tough question!
I think it will be a tie between “The darkest hour” and “Long shadows”. The darkest hour was the epic conclusion to the first series, and everything before was building up to this big moment, and it was just so cool to see the four Clans uniting to stand against BloodClan. Though the only nitpick that i have is that it’s kind of lame that the big bad is killed off so easy just so we can get a new “surprise” villain. But Scourge is cool, and i like him. (Yeah, i know he’s overrated, but i still like him as a villain)
“Long shadows” in my opinion was the first true warriors book that i have read since the end of the first series. Don’t get me wrong, not to say everything else was bad before this book, it just didn’t keep my interest from beginning to end. Some conflict stuff happened here and there, but that’s it. So much stuff happens in “Long shadows” and none of it was filler. I remember every single detail that happened in that book. And of course, there is the great fire scene near the end and the cliffhanger ending.
4. Favorite Super Edition, Novella, or Manga?
Okay, i’m going to cheat a little here and pick one for each.
For favorite super edition, my personal favorite is Tallstar’s revenge. I love the way WindClan is portrayed in this book. Tallstar’s point of view is very interesting, especially when you notice the change when he comes back. His relationship with Jake, of course. I haven’t read all of them, i’m currently reading Firestar’s quest and it’s good so far. If i had to rate the super editions i read from my favorite to my least favorite, the order would be: Tallstar’s revenge, Crookedstar’s promise, Firestar’s quest (Again, i’m still reading it, but so far from what i have seen this is where i would rate it. May change the further i progress in the story) Yellowfang’s secret, and finally Bluestar’s prophecy.
My favorite novella is “Mapleshade’s vengeance”. I love how dark it is. How it shows the darker side of warriors, the way Mapleshade went from a loving queen to this tormented, sick and twisted cat with a thirst to kill everyone who wronged her. But the interesting thing for me, is that she isn’t doing this for herself. (For the most part) But for her kits.
And for the manga, well... the only manga i read was “The rise of Scourge”. So i guess this is my favorite! XD
5. Favorite Clan?
ShadowClan. As much as i love the development and culture of WindClan from Tallstar’s revenge, ShadowClan is the one that catches my interest the most. I don’t remember now from where i read it, but when i saw this: “It was often said when the Clans were in the forest, that the cold north wind of the mountains chilled the ShadowClan warriors' hearts.” I thought this was so cool. ShadowClan is often judged to be the “slytherin” of the series. The obvious bad guys/bullies, and i think they deserve more. I haven’t read VoS, but from what i have heard, they are once again in the tyranny of some rogue. Can’t they catch a break for once? I wish this Clan was represented better.
6. Favorite Character?
Only one? Can i mention several? This is warriors after all. There are lots of characters! Fuck it, i’m doing it anyway.
Hollyleaf, love her character arc and i ship her with Fallen Leaves. Jayfeather, his grumpiness is really appealing (Unlike some other cats that i know *Cough cough* Bluestar *Cough cough*) his point of view is very interesting and i was always looking forward to read his parts in the books. Brambleclaw, and i do say “Claw” rather than “Star” because i don’t know how he is as a leader. I liked his struggle to set himself apart from his father, and his relationship with Squirrelflight. Cinderpelt, she deserved better. Yellowfang, grumpy grandmother with sharp tongue (Too bad her character is ruined and tainted further on into the series) Crookedstar, he suffers and goes through so much and yet he still becomes such a great leader. Brokenstar, no i don’t like him in the way that i understand what he went through and his motives are justified. I like him for how cool of a villain he was. (I like villains okay?) He killed kits by training them too hard, he killed his father, he banished his own mother, and ruled over ShadowClan with threats. He was so diabolically evil, how can you not love it? Whitestorm, he was very cool as this wise and respectable warrior. Um... i think that’s it.
7. Least Favorite Character?
Raggedstar, Crowfeather, Rainflower, Leopardstar, and Onestar.
I hate everything about Raggedstar. His character, his relationship with Yellowfang, his actions. He’s so whiny, and really despicable. I don’t care if you have daddy issues or not, you don’t manipulate the one you love just because she decided to become something else.
Crowfeather had so much potential, and i originally liked him in the new prophecies series. But then he became cold and uncaring, and i guess you could make the argument that’s what the Erins were going for after his failed relationship with Leafpool. But he should have been more honorable! Actually be loyal to WindClan because he is loyal, and not because he has to. Taking Nightcloud as a mate just to prove his loyalty is such a mean move, because he essentially used her. And then when the truth comes out about the three, he completely shifts the blame solely to Leafpool, and gets away scotch free! He better get a good redemption in Omen of the stars or else... i’m going to get angry.
Rainflower, Terrible, terrible mother. I hate her so much.
Leopardstar, not much to say in this one. I just don’t think she’s a very good leader, nor did she do much of anything to deserve her position. And she got on my nerves.
Onestar, what’s there to say about this douche cat that hasn’t already been said? He was great as Onewhisker, then he got his nine lives, and i guess one of his gifts was the gift of being an ass because after he became leader his character decided to change and become a complete jerk for no reason. So much for keeping the peace between ThunderClan and WindClan, am i right Tallstar?
8. Most Aesthetically Pleasing Cat?
This is going to be kind of a strange one: Ivypool, even though i don’t know much about her i really like her design. I like tabbies.
9. Favorite Leader?
I like Blackstar. He’s grumpy most of the time, and yeah, he makes some bad decisions. But hey, so does all of the other leaders. I personally would not mind to see a super edition about him. He used to be the deputy for both Brokenstar and Tigerstar, and when the position passed onto him, he stepped up and became a honorable leader. I would like to see this change more closely.
10. Favorite Villain?
As much as i like Brokenstar, i have to go with Mapleshade. She’s the queen of the Dark forest basically. I think she’s still around, if i’m not wrong? But the way she has solely devoted herself to revenge, to even manipulate a kit into basically selling his soul to her at the cost of his loved ones lives, is pretty messed up. Also, can i say that we should have more she-cat villains in the series? We need more she-cat villains in these series. I am so tired of big scarred tabbies going around being evil and stuff.
11. Favorite Medicine Cat?
Jayfeather. He’s a good medicine cat who’s not afraid to call out on StarClan’s bullshit when he has to. And he always does what is needed of him to fulfill the prophecy.
12. Overrated Character?
Bluestar. At this point, you are probably thinking i hate her guts, aren’t you? I don’t hate Bluestar, i don’t think i even dislike her. But the fandom treats her as if she is the greatest thing ever. If anyone so much as utters that they dislike her they are immediately showered with a storm of hate. How dare anyone dislike Bluestar? She’s fine guys, but she isn’t all that. Calm down. You can love her, of course you can, but we can dislike her too you know.
13. Underrated Character?
Dustpelt. I like his background development. He hated Firestar at first, and i guess he had a thing for Sandstorm. But then he met Ferncloud and discovered a softer side to him, and became a really loyal and devoted warrior.
14. Favorite Minor Character?
Longtail. He started off as a generic bully character, but he got development and managed to redeem himself in the end. Too bad he was put in the elders den. By a rabbit, of all things! (Which btw, why did the Erins send him off to the elders den for? I never got that) Also for honorable mentions goes to both Brackenfur and Runningwind.
15. Favorite Pairing?
I have so many! Fire x Sand - Good development, Squirrel x Bramble - i love me so love/hate relationships, Holly x Fallen -  They helped each other out and have a cute relationship, Willow x Crooked - They are adorable, and of course Tall x Jake - So precious.
16. Least Favorite Pairing?
Crow x Night - He used her, end of story (In fact, might as well put all Crowfeather pairings in here, their all terrible) Spider x Daisy - This was completely out of nowhere, and he was never there for her or their kits. Spotted x Fire - Forced.
17. Favorite Friendship?
Brambleclaw and Stormfur, they were very good buddies during their journey to see Midnight, and i’m glad they kept the friendship even long after.
18. Favorite Moment?
Bluestar’s death. I swear i don’t hate her guys! I just really liked this moment, and thought it was a good conclusion to her character. Her reunion with her kits is very emotional.
19. Most Tragic Death?
It’s a tie between Stonefur and Cinderpelt’s death. Stonefur kept fighting til his last breath in what he believed was right. In front of an audience no less! Cinderpelt, despite everything she went through, was not afraid to lose her life to defend Sorreltail and her kits.
20. Favorite Battle / Fight Scene?
The climax to “Eclipse”. Kind of out of nowhere, especially with the great battle against BloodClan in “The darkest hour”. But this battle is so suspenseful. It’s not kept in the point of view of one single character throughout the whole thing, it keeps switching between Lion, Jay, and Holly as different events keep on happening. It’s Wind and River teaming up to drive out Thunder, leaving them no choice but to team up with Shadow. The four Clans fighting against each other, only to be stopped by the sun being blocked out. It’s a great scene, and i get the chills every time i re-read it.
