This is my trek at community college, from the parking lot lower left, up the hill, through the ramp maze, across courtyard, through student cafeteria, up stairs, down long hall, elevator down to classroom. All while wearing a knee brace & limping along (2 months since surgery). I was helped by a few different departments, friendly, super helpful. Withdrew from one class and signed up for Computers 101. I sat in on class today, the instructor is very entertaining, reminds me of a brunette Leslie Jordan. Walking all the way back down the hill to my car about did me in. Ouch. Stopped for coffeeon the way home, and as it was handed through the drive-through window the entire cup spilled onto me, my seat, my coat, pants- totally drenched in hot coffee. I screamed, she apologised, gave me a towel & another coffee. I got home to see the garbage can tipped over and garbage all over - hit by the snow plow. Then, as I was walking to the house on our slippery wood sidewalk I slipped off the edge and twisted my ankle. 😫 An hour later I had a phone appt with a very nice sounding counselor who validated my frustration and told me to chill out this weekend, no thinking about classes (except I have an assignment due Sunday). I heard the song by Chumbawumba on my way to school today..."I get knocked down, but I get up again, no youre never gonna keep me down..." That was stuck in my head all day and will be my go-to song for a while...if I don't quit first. I have to work on my 'why', why am I doing this at this point in my life? If I believe in my reason why, then the motivation will be there to keep going. And I need to learn how to get to this new class without the long uphill trek. Contacting disability support dept tomorrow, and hopefully getting temp handicap parking card nx week at dr appt. *sigh* My head hurts. What a day. I hope yours was better.

Now, It's time to talk about A quarter of the world's coffee. They make up about 35-40% of the world's coffee consumption. That is right! we are going to talk about Canephora, also known as Robusta. If you remember we gave a short description of Arabica and Robusta and then we talked about Arabica in detail.

Welcome To the High Caffeine World

Robusta's higher caffeine level, as well as its chlorogenic acids (naturally occurring antioxidants), are believed to be a consequence of the plant's self-defense mechanism toward pests and disease. This coffee is grown mostly in West Africa and the Far East, and at cooler temperatures than Arabica. It's a kind of coffee that has fewer perfumes and aromas than Arabica.

Robusta seeds are bitter and have a low fragrance.

Robusta seeds have a sour flavor to others.

The caffeine content of Robusta seeds ranges from 1.7 to 4%, which is almost double that of Arabica seeds.

Being cheap is because of the sturdiness and resistance to disease, heat, and humidity. Whether calling benefit or disadvantage its low sugar leads to a more bitter taste and stronger flavor. If you need a lot of energy, to stay awake, or just want to engage in intense workouts, we suggest a cup of Robusta coffee because of its high caffeine. The thick foam produced by Robusta beans can be used to make espresso. However, Arabica and Robusta are often mixed, depending on the needs of the drink and the preferences of the people.
