Some things I cannot mention because spoilers for either late-CoGR or the Trivia Doc, but urm. Hmmmmm. I guess I can spill a lil bit as a treeeat

major spoilers for CoGR (Camouflage of Great Renown) below!!! up until what’s currently published (chapter 51)

1. Mom things

So! Zote’s mother amiright?? She was purposefully kept as vague and untouched and unmentioned as possible up until chapter 47. There’s six (6) instances of the word “mother” before chapter 47, but none of them have to do with Zote’s mom- HOWEVER this does not mean there were not hints toward her existing!! Chapter 20: “Who, then, spoke to me? And why did they mimic her?” was NOT in reference to the Den Elder, as someone theorized it was! This was the very first reference to Zote’s mother that I can remember writing in, and I think that’s :) potentially interesting :) 

Chapter 26: “’Impudent child…’ …Hmph. I showed her ‘impudent.’” Chapter 47: “Impudent child… You are as feeble as your forebearer...” thanks momma

Birdie actually noticed this one!! And they’ve been the only one to thus far: Chapter 35: “Hah. I just realized… I would’ve scarred its eye. Oh, how fitting would that have been? Perhaps it’s better I lost my chance.” [this is in reference to the Vengefly King] Chapter 47: “Oh. Hah. Are you wondering what her usual disguise was? I’m sure you’ll have a hearty chuckle over this one. A vengefly.”  ... “What’s worse, she had a crooked laceration over one of her eyes. It translated into every form she took, making her awfully recognizable no matter what she looked like.”

aaand there’s one (1) more reference to Zote’s mother coming to mind but I LEGALLY cannot talk about it because it’s. some. MAJOR spoilers for things unwritten! It’s been misinterpreted as someone else, though, I’ll give ya that much!

2. A little tidbit that could’ve given away everything about zote’s mom if y’all had paid attention: “Their “leader” was my very brother. And I can assure you, he was not a superior. Not yet, anyway.”

3. I know I’ve alluded to this already but I’m gonna need you guys to pay attention to some’a the times zote has used the word promise

4. As with “fiend,” “grub” is not mentioned outside of the grub arc except for the instance of the mimic in the colosseum, a quote in chapter 4, and chapter 47: “Look at me, shivering like a lost grub. Pah! Haha! Ah. Of course, that’s the first thing that came to mind. Grubs.”

5. this isn’t really in the fic but have y’all been paying attention to zote’s right hand when i draw him. ignoring the pogchamp picture u might....... wanna glimpse at his right hand sometimes. :) chapter 30 was my favorite chapter

6. “I did something in chapter 28 that promised something horrible in a future chapter!” here’s the thing I said in chapter 28 that promised the awful for chapter 42 (don’t hesitate): “Do not turn back, do not hesitate, and do not wonder the state of what you’ve left behind.”  also a little thing in chapter 3: “Believe me. Disobey. Do not hesitate as I may have.”

 ,,,,okay so there’s actually a lot I can’t mention because of spoilers but. once. specific chapters come out, I’m sure I’ll have more to add to this about things y’all missed! Becauuuuse there’s a bit :) though honestly not that much, ‘cause y’all started gettin observant once shit started goin down heehehee

Me highkey/lowkey(????) worried for Zote's bones? I hope Nosks have uper super duper chewy(?) bones because oh boy Zote has been morphed for a while. Although, perhaps he unmorphs on a rare occasion when hes got absolute privacy? although we all know our man ain't got a lick of self care has he. Because like, Zote said Nosks aren't morphed for long periods of time and will usually dispose of the shell after a bit via eating it. (although there are cases like The Elder's where she was infiltrating a whole weaver den which may have taken a bit. And then she made her case unique by deciding "oi this place is wig" and then she was there as weaver for even longer.) Oh no, he probably hasnt been unmorphing has he? He's probably like "she did it and so can I". He is v smol tho...

so okay I saw the first sentence of this ask this morning without the rest of the context and got SO scared and confused over “me worried for Zote’s bones” sdghSDKGJH

As for how that whole thing works! Well! 

“Bones” is probably not. a thinG here, since we’re talking about bugs!! Though I know I’ve referred to the nosks as having “spines” which like,,, is only my fault since I have no idea what else to call that arched part of the shell OTHER than a spine sdhgkjhsdkgjh

AT any rate, though, I’m sure staying solely in his morph and never unmorphing (because he. does not! he absolutely refuses to) does have some detrimental effects. Kinda like... breaking a bone, and never getting it properly set again. It ends up stiff and hard to move, sometimes getting stuck that way. What I’m saying is Zote must have a MAJOR crick in the neck considering his head is technically the “wrong way” for a nosk sdhgkJSH

But considering nosks are frequently in their morphs, they can probably go for quite some time before it becomes a major issue. How long “quite some time” goes for, uh,,, that is a mystery! perhaps zote will solve this by being. the way he is 

(”oi this place is wig” made me cACKLE I MEAN SHGKHJ NOT WRONG, buuut even the den elder morphed back when she returned to the nosk den. Zote has been in his disguise for years now and I’m almost positive it’s screwed him over physically in some other ways)

All-in-all,

- nah he’s not unmorphing - “she did it and so can I” yea - “our man ain't got a lick of self care has he” nope - Are nosk bones chewy? ?? I’ve,, gone in great detail to say that their shells are stupidly tough, so I dunno about chewy! If you meant flexible then yes probably, considering the wide array of morphs they can pull off!!

Due to At Least One demand, I’ve decided to put together this lil directory thing all about my silley funny zote fic called Camouflage of Great Renown.  In july that thing will be 2 years old and I refuse to acknowledge that

General Synopsis:  Zote The Mighty, a Knight of Great Renown, is actually a nosk. A nosk that rejects the nature of his species and decides to disguise himself as a vessel, trying to live in society as though he is simply a Normal Bug. A Normal Bug that is ACTUALLY a fantastic, brilliant knight that deserves your utmost respect. Thank you very much.

The fic is first-person from Zote’s POV as he details his life from start to present, going through pre-game all the way up until post-game, with no canon ending specified. It is completely canon compliant, though! It is 57 chapters and 130,000 words of unreliable narrating, nosk lore, a look at Alive-Hallownest from Zote’s perspective, and a Whole Lot of Sudden Angst that will Hit You Like A Truck. That is Your Only Warning! (More specific trigger warnings are listed in the tags of the actual fic heehoo)

so for a while in my sserver people started calling me waluigi. this was due to this post (initially)

then somewhere along the line i brought up waluigi's original name being jimmy poppadopolos. revealed in this . so then i became jimmy poppadopolos

this mixed with various other factors about me. such as - zote the mighty a knight of great renown but as a nosk (hollow knight) (more specifically my 130k word fic about him) - it's important to note that I went months in heavy denial about the fact i kinned zote the mighty only for me to fall into despair and acceptance after realizing boy i just Am Him, at this point. - snatcher kinning - potentially kinning both jevil and spamton (don't worry about it I swear) - and the most cursed fact about me is that when i was 11 i used to unironically roleplay as the fnaf purple guy in youtube comments sections . upon letting friends in the server know this i have never been allowed to live it down. if anyone mentions fnaf purple guy (or worse, vincent) it's me i'm there. funny
