In this episode of  “conservatives are talking about things they have never seen,” some conservatives are now saying that Nintendo has “gone woke” because Peach became a “girl boss” in the movie and she wears pants in it.

Peach has been a “girl boss” since 1988. Even if you don’t want to count American SMB2 because it’s just Doki Doki Panic reskinned, she’s a kick-ass magic user in RPG. And this just ignoring the obvious signs that the whole series is staged. (Miyamoto himself confirmed that SMB3 is a stage play. Plus all of the sports and board games that they play with with Bowser.)

The suit with pants that she wears has been canon since 2008 when they introduced motorcycles to the series in Mario Kart 7.

Not to mention all of the non-binary (or sexless) characters in their games. (Mostly as a “we didn’t really think about it” kind of thing. Japan doesn’t use gendered language the same way we do. They haven’t really thought about it.) Unless stated otherwise, pretty much every character that isn’t obviously presenting as one gender or the other (usually creatures) doesn’t have a gender.

And going back to SMB2 from 1988, Birdo, or “Birdetta” has been canonically MTF trans. (Though I think they retconned her preferred name when they decided to make her a recurring character.) (I have no idea if she was trans in Doki Doki Panic.)

I could go on forever about “””woke””” representation in Nintendo games if I had infinite time. (There’s probably already lists of LGBT+ and POC Nintendo characters so I wouldn’t have to.)

In fact most people are curious about Rajwa's past life because the RHC and Rania played too much on the image of the good girl coming from a conseravtive and traditional family. Jordanians are indeed very conservative, believe me when the people will all see her past pictures she will never and i swear NEVER be free from negatives comments ( Facebook ,Twitter and tiktok are places where she is even insulted by people and lots of men )and will always be criticized and Hussein not respected as an arab man first( no arabs men accept any behavior of the sort from their wives no one!!!) And his people will always shame him because of "his choice" when he could have taken any other decent arab girls.

I'm a Jordanian and here she is not accepted and Hussein very very criticized. I wanted you to know.

Well:

1/ Yes the PR team are trying to promote Rajwa via Queen Rania's Instagram and all, but honestly they didn't emphasize on the fact that she's conservative or something like that , apart from the choice of her engagement outfit " abaya and the scarf" they never mentioned anything related to conservatism about her BUT instead I feel that the royal family are trying too hard to show that they are proud of their arabic roots and being descendants of the prophet ﷺ . (The one thing I dislike here is the fact that they are a little bit westernized : "Nothing wrong with that hey are free to live the way they want of course" but they are portraying themselves differently to gain people's love.)

2/ About Rajwa : I understand and respect your traditions and the fact that you are conservative but trust me she can go to parties or roam around with her friends "boys" and have fun but still be a muslim by heart and faithful to God . It's a spiritual thing. And I can't see how we people can judge her on that . As a muslim myself I find it really bad to judge the others based on the way they dress or the way they live their private life. At the end of the day what matters most is her character and the way she interacts with the others. She may have a good nature after all regardless of anything. How she dresses and befriends boys that depends on her own limits , beliefs and that's between her and God. But how she treats the others is something you can criticize given she's a public figure.

3/ Some members of the royal family are also enjoying their lives behind closed doors it's just that they are so private and aware that people may judge them meanwhile I think Rajwa has never thought she'll be a queen someday.

4/ I really understand that some of you can't accept her and that's all right so please just judge her fairly.

5/ I do understand that you hoped for a queen that represents you as a conservative and muslim country but unfortunately she has already been chosen and you can't do anything about it ..

like she told me she doesn’t think it was physically possible for helen keller to be real… and like i tried explaining how she learned how to like read and write and she kept being like “nope it’s literally impossible” like ???? like i’d get being confused about some of the stuff she did but it’s not impossible for her to have learned how to do things

or like today she told me eggs are so expensive right now only due to inflation and when i told her that there’s an egg shortage because chickens are getting the bird flu and dying and there’s also a problem with the price of feed for the chickens, she was like “no it’s literally just inflation, you’re trying to get the blame off of joe biden ruining the economy” like girl 😭😭😭 obviously inflation is a factor but it’s not the sole reason for the prices being so high!

96th Birthday of Late Pope Benedict XVI

This past Sunday, April 16th, would have been the 96th Birthday of the Late Pope Benedict XVI.

Born Joseph Ratzinger, he had a devotion to the church and sereved as professor, Archbishop, Cardinal and later Pope when elected in the Conclave of 2005 after the death of Pope John Paul II.

As Pope, Benedict was known for his conseravtive views on matters and adherence to tradition. Yet despite his reputation for being stern, Benedict had a shy persoanlity and was quit gental according to those who knew him best.

One Febuary 28th, 2013, Benedict resigned from the Papacy, citing his advance age. He was succeded by Pope Francis. Now Pope Emertius, Benedict would continue to live on the grounds of the Vatican in a small former monastary, staying out of the public eye for the most part and leaving only once to visit his aling brother.

Benedict XVI passed away January 31st, 2023.

Loved by many and disliked by many, Pope Benedict XVI leaves behind a legacy that will be discussed for a great many years.

Although I never focus on him much, King Daniel is actually one of my favorite sims. He's so different than most I've created. Here are some cool facts about the king:

He cannot cook and didn't learn to drive until after his kids were born. And he only learned so he could spend time with them and would often just drive them around palace grounds.

He's a bibliophile and probably reads 4 books per week! He's always reading multiple books as well. Reading a book next to his wife with his dog, Lorde, is his favorite way to pass time.

He will never admit it but he's jealous of his son, Prince Paul because Paul is able to have fun and not take himself too seriously. Daniel was raised the opposite way and has trouble letting his guard down.

He will be a better grandfather than father. He raised his children in a way consistent with his upbringing with the goal of making sure they and the monarchy survive. This didn't always leave him time to be super affectionate and caring.

Despite his height and athletic build, he hates sports and doing too much activity. In fact, he doesn't think it's Kingly to sweat and girate too much--it's more of his conseravtive/preservationist side,
