Somebody on Twitter pointed out that Orym didn't work out in the morning last episode.

Somehow this is MORE concerning to me than him saying that he never felt so small before. Because we've seen Orym after some though nights before. He ALWAYS did his morning workout routine in some way, this time he just... didn't.

something absolutely heartbreaking about orym not waking ashton and laudna up with his work out, if only out of some weak attempt at normalcy.

he’s said something before like he’s so militant about it because his body is all he has. No magic, no gods, just him and his sword and shield. And it might just be me but him not doing his work out after admitting to Deni$e that he’s feeling small and maybe a bit hopeless is absolutely wrecking me

Time to turn that wild idea into a fic.

Vex was over the moon that she could talk to her buddy, her Trinket now.  Well, more accurately, she can understand what he says.  In any case, she was fairly certain that this was one of the most emotional moments of her life.  Her excitement was so great that it spilled from her eyes in free-flowing streams.

After that, she talked to Trinket whenever she could, asking him all manner of things she’d always wanted to know, but could never hear him answer with words.  It was clear that Trinket loved her very much and would do anything for her, but she grew curious about his opinions of the rest of their little family.  She asked about each one in turn, but it was what he had to say about Percy that surprised her the most by far.

“Percy is a good man,” Trinket told her in a deep rumble that had a fond tone to it.  “He gives good ear scratches and tries hard to make you happy.”

“You think so?”

“Yes.  He talks to me sometimes when you’re away.”

“He does?”  Vex’s eyes went wide.  Had she heard correctly?  Percival was confiding in her bear?

“Yes.  He’s very sad inside, but I think he feels better when he talks to me.”

“Does he ever talk about me?”  The question was casual, almost joking, and Vex was not prepared for the very serious answer she got.

“He loves you very much.”  Vex’s jaw dropped.  “But he’s too sad about hurting you to say it to you.”  The sincerity in Trinket’s manner convinced her that he was not joking and for a good long moment, she was speechless.

“That beautiful, bespectacled bastard...” she eventually muttered in a display of alliteration that would have made Scanlan proud.  “Thank you, buddy,” she then cooed, scratching the bear behind the ears.

Vex had a lot to think about, but she’d be lying if she said a little part of her wasn’t skipping around in glee at the news that Percy had placed his heart in her hands as surely as he did his money.

I don't ship Ashton and Deni$e. I think they would have an awesome and epic friendship but anything beyond that just doesn’t click for me atm. (Tbh i dont see Ash with anyone really. Maybe fearne or orym but even there im not super on board)

Maybe its just me being AroAce and not picking up on signals though. Wouldn't be the first time.

Cad appreciation post:

Something i love is that Cad is this giant, sweet, soothing, calming, wise, cow man.... That can fuck shit up.

Listen. He is this dumb groups moral compass sometimes, handing out comfort and advice. Hes the bearhug giver. Hes the healer. The cook. The diplomat. He's the rational thinker (even if he doesnt always understand what hes thinking about.)

But he can also deal out radiant damage like no ones business. He can Bless his friends, and can curse (Bane) his enemies. He can literally make his punchy friend a Holy Weapon. He can weaken an enemies attack (Sentinel at Deaths Door) and saved Fjord life with it last night. He feeds his friends almost daily (Create food and water) but he does it with special magic dust to make it taste better (Dust of Delisiousness) because 'just because its cheap doesnt mean it has to suck'. He can literally make things decompose at will.

Caduceus is on a mission to save his home. To save his family legacy. But hes allied himself with these chaotic disasters and he believes that they are a part of his mission. He loves them. He may not understand why they do some of the things they do. But he trusts them, and understands that even if thier opinions dont always match, theyre in a group dynamic and is willing to vote and go with a group decision.

He adamently believes that Caleb has a destiny far larger and greater then them. He believes that Fjord is a good man. He believes in Jesters innocence. He sees Yasha's pain, and knowing she could leave any minute, and he thanks her for staying. For helping him take care of the pack of wild cats theyre herding through a dangerous wasteland.

It took me a long ass time to warm up to the pink cow man. But the way Tal plays him makes it hard not to love him. I firmly believe that when the Savalier Wood is cured, and Cads family is accounted for, he will leave M9 and return home (unless the Mother tells him otherwise.) When that happens I will be sad. But i will be so, SO happy that he did what he set out to do.

Any way, dont know what my point was. I just wanted to point out sone cool stuff about Cad. Feel free to add. Enjoy.
