I’m not particularly afraid of clowns, but the start was definitely unnerving. Grissom and Sara mentoring Park was a full-circle moment and made me so happy, as did Grissom quoting classic literature. I really felt for Roby having to deliver the news of the breach to everyone, and Nora Cross’ presence didn’t help any, but Grissom and Sara schooling her was great, though. The grenade twist made things even worse, and every shot of the clown motel was creepier than the last. Folsom touching Allie’s shoulder would’ve been cute if they were both single, and the little Grissom and Sara bit was actually cute. The ‘portal to clown hell’ line was magnificent, and I did admire the killer’s dedication to picture-perfect face paint. Like Ramirez, I appreciate good origami too, and Cross actually being sincere for once was a nice change. Tom the maintenance guy sneaking up on Folsom and Allie was kind of scary, as was Park being accused and the team working to discover what happened- the more distractions there were, the more time the culprit had to cover their tracks. Dalt tripping himself up and revealing more about the case was worrying, and we saw Penny��s creepy side with the remark she made about Randy, whoever he is. Happy’s dad made an archive-footage reappearance, and Dalt forcing the motel owner and the security guard to go along with the clown-killing was a sad moment that turned creepy when intercut with Wix.     

I loved how frequent the little GSR scenes were- it almost made up for the not-shown kiss. Whatever thing Folsom and Allie have between them was definitely more pronounced this week, which spells bad news for the future and her boyfriend. There’s still four episodes to go, and I’m excited to see how this all plays out.

I love the actor who plays Jeremiah Dalt 😁 He does an excellent job 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I always admire actors like him, Mark Paul-Gelessar (Gig Harbour Twins), Bill Irwin (Nate Haskell), Jessica Collins (Natalie Davis) and so on.

Actually, the B case has quite a Nate Haskell vibe, what with the victims' throats being stitched; it's like Haskell piercing those metallic things into his victims. And, to be honest, it makes hard hard for me to watch; I'm actually crying, because those kinds of things get to me. I watch lots of violent movies, I'm used to all sorts of things, even all the things we see on CSI, and I'm used to them. But this particular thing gets to me.
