She had to take out some money out of their savings, but the ballet and yoga studio is now officially hers! Well also Sharon’s I guess, but the deed is under Hannah’s name. 

I need to remember to rename it to Bell’s Ballet & Yoga Studio. Will I actually remember to is yet to be determined.

Later that night, Issac congratulated Hannah on her first step into the business world and reassured her that she would do great. He knows it’s not that his wife is so much worried but rather her sister. But hey, this is another way she can keep on eye on her to make sure she’s behaving.

But of course, Hannah can’t keep her eyes on Sharon all the time.

The Right Nation and God Is Back were more substantial , unearthing positive elements for their cosmocratic liberalism, albeit from two unlikely sources. The first stemmed from a fascination with rightwing American intellectuals: William Buckley at National Review, Milton Friedman and the Chicago boys, and the neoconservatives, including Irving Kristol, Daniel Bell, Seymour Lipset and Nathan Glazer. Aside from the admirable 'cutting edge' they gave to US foreign policy, the neocons were also 'muckrakers of the Right', 'discrediting government' by exposing affirmative action and welfare dependency. In fact, they were quite close to the philosophical traditions of the Economist. 'As they grew older, neocons embraced old-fashioned liberalism - the liberalism of meritocratic values, reverence for high culture and a vigorous mixed economy.' Looking past the misleading label, 'America's conservatism is an exceptional conservatism: the conservatism of a forward-looking commercial republic rather than the reactionary Toryism of old Europe.' They cited an exchange in which Max Beloff, a British peer, incredulously asked Irving Kristol how he dared call himself conservative, since without deference to tradition, including those threatened by 'the abuses of capitalism, it is only the old Manchester School [of classical liberalism].'

The sociologist Daniel Bell, for instance, perhaps the most famous neoconservative commentator on inflation, thematized the moral and economic crisis of the 1970s in terms very close to those of the Virginia school neoliberals in particular. His sociological classic The Cultural Contradictions of Capital indicted the welfare state for undermining the proper order of familial relations and expanding consumption beyond the limits prescribed by Protestant good sense. Inflation, he believed, was intimately connected to this breakdown of moral values. Time and again, both neoliberals and neoconservatives focused their attention on one welfare program in particular. Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC), a marginal public assistance program that consumed a very small proportion of federal social expenditures. How did the great inflation of the 1970s come to be associated with a breakdown of the family, and why did public concern focus so obsessively on this one social welfare program?... ... [by the 1970s], critics on the left and right now accused AFDC - and by extension the welfare state itself - of radically undermining the American family and contributing to the problem of inflation. In response to this crisis, they now called for a much more dramatic reform of welfare than they themselves had hitherto imagined. It was now agreed that the redistributive welfare programs of the New Deal and Great Society would need to be radically restricted, even while the private institution of the family was to be strengthened as an alternative to social welfare. Welfare reformers now looked back to a much older tradition of public relief - one embedded in the poor-law tradition with its attendant notions of family and personal responsibility - as an imagined alternative to the New Deal welfare state. It is in this shift that we can locate the simultaneous rise of neoliberalism and neoconservatism as mature political philosophies. Neoliberalism and neoconservatism may be diametrically opposed on many issues, but on the question of family values, they reveal a surprising affinity.

Time to show off the Bell family pets! First up is Nami the checks the wiki Keeshond. I’ve never heard of this breed in my life but I searched up some pictures and they’re adorable :’)

And then we have Sunshine the cockatoo! I made sure to not call it a parrot this time lol.

Hannah’s been eyeing a ballet and yoga studio that’s just up the street from their house for a while now and it’s just recently been put on the market for sale. Seizing the opportunity, she lets Sharon know her intention in purchasing the property and asks if she’d like to help her manage it and Sharon happily agreed.

It’s also another way for Hannah to keep an eye on her sister to make sure she’s not getting into trouble...or rather, causing said trouble.

DESIDERATA VALLEY

Sharon is getting used to the Bells' family habits, and even wants to be friends with Daniel. She and Hannah also became best friends. However, this round almost bored Sharon to dead, since she didn't find any specific sim to have a romance.

Hannah is very focused on her family, she wants to have another child… but Isaac seems very uninterested in the subject. All he wants is to have fun and make new friends, but he did get closer to Daniel at least.

Just some pics of Mike Jocque's birthday party. He is Sophia and Marcel's second child and the little brother of Violet Jocque, who's at college at the moment. He grew up into a child and his one true hobby, how could it be otherweise, is sports. 😅
