i feel like ppl actually give pearl a decent chunk of attention (i would say she gets way more than cleo does) but no amount is too much of pearl for me tbh i always want more so

pearls like uh. the most ever. babygirl. i think scarlet pearl was a bit of a turning point for her but i think she was always.. a little bit messed up. we talk about martyn essentially turning himself into ren's sword in 3L and i think LL pearl and scott have a somewhat similar dynamic, just less in your face about it. <-- thinking about her killing joel for scott multiple times, her essentially donating all her lives to him, etc.

she's a very lonely character i feel like. so the people who she does end up close to she will go insane for, literally being ready for give up her life for them.

if u want me to get hot take-y about it i think that read is why i've never been a big fan of her getting characterized as the crazy ex-girlfriend in fics and such. i always took scott calling her that as his version of events (and slandering her to get the rest of the server on his side), pearl i feel has such a pure devotion and need for love that i cant see her ever really considering romance.

like every other divorce quartet dynamic i go crazy about it but i don't really "see" anything between these two i guess.

they've always felt kind of detached from eachother to me. like they just can't fundamentally understand one another. pearl is naive but capable of feats way beyond regular people. cleo is all too familiar with the world and endlessly haunted by their own insecurities.

the whole mean girl energy directed at pearl during DL def didn't help their relationship. i like to think that LimL cleo did feel kinda bad about how she treated her? a lot of what cleo does in DL i feel was kind of influenced by scott's behaviour -- i don't think she even really hates pearl (they might even pity her) but she's not gonna be extending a hand out anytime soon either.

but yeah even in another universe where either of them knows how to be normal about their emotions i don't see the possibility for anything more. an apology and return to normal is as good as it's gonna get imo. they're just not close enough.

i also kinda feel that.. idk it's just kind of obligatory? like ppl are clawing and desperate and starving to get some toxic yuri and Trust Me i understand. but idk uh. the ship has to find me yknow. not the other way around. 🙏

theres a real beauty in the simplicity of their style honestly because you can see the evolution!

kie’s style is relatively stagnent (neutral statement) when it comes to aesthetics but we can see her kook side make more and more of an appearance she she gets more stylish and her silhouettes tinier and she looks sexier for lack of a better term! like she’s introduced as this hot hippy chick who wears lots of warm tones like orange and yellow and oversized shirts she starts off very tomboyish her hairs messy and often in a scarf it feels like shes playing at being a pogue almost? but as time goes on she cant rlly get tid of her kook roots so you get more vibrant colors and clean sihlouettes its gets tighter and less baggy

sarah goes thru the opposite where she starts off as the Kook Princess™️ like she’s pastels, and super feminine, and lots of subtly sexy sihlouettes bc shes an object of desire and shes aware of it but she cant commit because she knows deep down thats not what she wants she aches for more from her life so she very quickly devolves into the more poguey look with smaller clothing items, more raggedy as she loses her money and overall she looks less put together she also begins to compliment john bs color palette more as its colorful but more muted

cleo is def the MOST basic but for good reason she cant be concerned too much with being “pretty” shes in survival mode 24/7 so her color palette is browns, greens, greys nothing that stands out tol much! also love how she starts off with plaits in her hair when we first meet her as shes closed off and not really trustworthy bc she has to worry bout herself and her safety but as she becomes a pogue and becomes comfortable (the scene in popes room…ill cry) her hair is looser and more relaxed…my baby forreal but shes interesting in her clothes arent deliberately tomboyish or feminine from a personal standpoint the way sarah and kie are she wears clothes that are durable and wont get in the way

btwn school and work i have had so little time for my dolls , but i finally got monster ball lagoona !! i ordered clawdeen and cleo in the mail , and im gonna get drac as a gift to myself once the semester is over ( or maybe even a xmas gift from myself lol )

im gonna start with her accessories !! i love her little punch bowl , the details in the bottom are soooo cute . her purse is actually big enough to fit her perfume bottle ( or is it lipstick ?? ) which i adore , esp since a lot of the bags are not big enough for accessories !! her jewelry is super super cute , and her mustache mask made me giggle and think of wiggly from the hatchetfield universe !!

her faceup is sooooo cunty i cant even explain it , its def my favorite next to her snack shack faceup . her hair is not my favorite , boxes never do favors for curls , but ill fix up her hair no problem once i get some straws to do curls . the tinsel is my mortal enemy , and i might just pluck it out like i did with the rh/sh costume ball line . she def has my favorite construction of a lagoona doll overall so far !!

her dress does not match her shoes which is a pet peeve for me , but separately theyre both very cute . i love love her dress more than i thought i would ( lagoona was the only one i was considering not getting from monster ball ) , it looks sooo much better than product photos or in the box !! overall tho , her outfit is very cute :33

i think his favorite food is just very good fresh bread. there is a game where he mentions wanting toffee apples but i cant keep making all my blorbos choose apples as their fave food. i want to though

its very clear in his puppet form he feels very little pain however i dont think he is completely immune to it- i think his pain tolerance is just very good on account of him being a puppet

the ocean is a huge trigger for him (ive mentioned before but i def think he has ptsd) and most things that relate to or remind him of it can cause distress or at worse an episode

another trigger is anything similar to the feeling of Donkey Lampwick roughly clawing (i dont think thats the right word. they were hooves. whatever) against his chest. and also donkeys in general lol (he thinks about how many of them were other boys)

wow two of these points are just about his trauma huh. um i think he kinda struggles with focusing/following instructions when it comes to building things with his dad but he REALLY loves watching his dad craft anyway. he constantly asks him questions and makes comments and his dad is 100% attentive the entire time, answering him with enthusiasm and patience

Ok so @hermits-that-craft has made me want to write a post tagging hermits as bad things I've seen happen or done while driving. Guess which ones I saw and which ones I did myself, because I wont say.

Consider this a driving safe PSA tbh.

Cleo: almost crash at a roundabout because she was speeding + drinking a milkshake and didnt want to stop drinking the milkshake just to use two hands to turn the steering wheel.

X: was distracted by a house while parking and drove into the curb. (It was my bfs house okay, I was excited to see him)

Doc: Cut off traffic at an intersection out of spite while blasting loud music and pulling the finger at the rubbish truck.

Joe: Crash into a phone pole while trying to reverse but didnt realize he was in the wrong gear until it was too late.

Gem: drive at 1 am to pick up s/o when the curfew for restricted is 10 pm and theres usually police stations set up around to catch restricted drivers driving past curfew. Has done this 5x now and still hasn't been caught.

Scar: almost cause a car crash because he was ranting about a tv show and forgot to check before merging lanes.

Impulse: everytime he drives hes somehow aggressive about it, so much so cds always go flying around the car out of compartments. Also has a stupid amount of cds.

life update: my mom and i may be moving in with my aunt and uncle starting september or so, largely as a trial run to see how living together works; they need help with bills(have been spoiled by florida and now flee the midwest when it gets chilly but dont like living down there full time, yet cant afford a home here and there) and we’d like more space. benefits of this include; - they have an enormous yard which, although not fenced in, is lovely and has lots of room if we wanted to start growing herbs and stuff(auntie already does grow stuff) - they have one of those big extra wide fridge/freezers and we are currently living out of a mini fridge - we would have the house to ourselves for about 5-6 months of the year(we currently live in my gramparents’ basement) - we’d be paying them about $1,000-$1,100 a month, which is a lot less than apartments with similar niceness to their house i also have an appointment with a counselor tomorrow and a psychiatrist in mid-late july, which is nice because this means i can really get some traction towards a service dog(as I need 1-2+ medical providers to sign off with the program i want to go through) and i do need the help even without a service dog but like. lol i know i need therapy but i dont even know where to start; my disabilities are just... the way i am u feel and its hard to identify problems when they arent actively being problems, like my emotional flashbacks and stuff and it’s just very difficult for me to talk(partially cuz im autistic and words hard) but also my counselor has a thick accent and my sensory processing problems can be bad enough with clear familiar accents and just. ugh.  but anyway, steps in the right direction at least, and living at auntie kim’s would be a lot nicer in a lot of ways but is also pretty scary(they’re very tidy and go to bed at like... 8 pm and disabilities mean i can get pretty messy as i bring stuff to my seat i think i need then abandon it and it accumulates) and, while it will be cheaper than any rental in the area, we ARE living with my gramparents for free so suddenly im going from having $521 to spend on food and stuff a month(I save $250/mo which lets me get a little bigger things when i need them like vet visit or so i feel better about treating myself), to only having $271 or so, and i gotta feed me and cleo and hopefully a service dog and stuff so like. yeah. i mean, it IS def cheaper than an apartment but i wouldnt mind living hear another year or so just to save up a little longer

This is kinda a side post to @grant-likes-minecraft 's post. I didnt really fit everything into the rb so I wanted to make a separate post.

As some people know I am fairly close to some ccs. I wouldn't call us friends per say, but def people I've gone to for help in the past or talked to about random stuff.

Cleo is one of them; I wouldn't call us friends but moreso acquaintances/mutuals. We both have mutual friends (camron etc) and I often talk to Cleo about random stuff or if I find something that reminds me of her or fanart here on tumblr that I cant find on twt I'll send it to her.

It's also more complex when you add in the fact I support her in a way financially via patreon. The patreon server is pretty close when it comes to all the active members. We joke around w Cleo often, when shes in chat (most of the time shes v busy with work so we dont see her very often), she used to play among us with some of us a while back almost weekly which was always hilarious, and we talk to her monthly about the minecraft server because we have monthly meetings.

Cleo was one of the first people I told when i got officially diagnosed with DID, and she was supportive and caring about it. I was aware that we didnt know each other very well personally but she was someone I could trust in some way as she has always been very vocal about her opinions and thoughts. I knew she'd be supportive about it, and that's why I felt comfortable telling her.

She knows some stuff that a lot of friends dont know about me, because I knew what was definitely safe to open up about due to how open she is in her content about certain topics.

But I also understand that we aren't friends. She is still a cc with a fairly big fanbase, and I'm simply a fan that supports her financially and has friends that are also friends of Cleo. I dont feel the platonic attachment to her because I'm very aware of how different we both are and how I still dont know her on much of a personal level, not to mention shes like almost twice my age if not definitely twice my age, but that also means I can go to her for advice about other stuff (as well as the older patreons in her server who are literally grandparents and treat me like their kid too).

The best way I can put it is:

Cleo is aware of her responsibility to have boundaries and shes very clear about them with everyone, as well as I'm very aware of my own boundaries, and how the power dynamic could affect both of us in any way. If you're scared of doing something wrong etc, the cc is responsible to make it clear. Which is something I'm grateful that some ccs do (false and Cleo are very chill and clear about it, which is really nice)
