omg…incredible question this is Tough. these picks don't necessarily reflect best overall quality theyre just ones that are special to me personally

1. rogue and peasant slave is my favorite hamlet soliloquy so i feel like it’d make sense at #1. i find it deeply relatable as an actor and someone who is bad at emotions and gender

4. listen...antony was the first shakespeare character i ever played so i HAVE to choose one of his BUT im hashtag not like other girls so instead of saying dogs of war (great speech) or friends romans (great speech) and ill say it's a tie between 3.1 "if then thy spirit look upon us now" (except for all the handshaking it felt like it took YEARS on stage) and 3.2 "good friends sweet friends" bc those were the most fun for me to perform

5. prospero's great globe speech at the end of the tempest. kinda cliche but getting to see it performed In The Actual Globe made me incredibly emotional...i was also in the process of grieving someone close to me at the time, so it def hit harder than i was expecting

honorable mentions to lady m's screw your courage to the sticking place speech (got to do that for a classmate's directing scene and it was soooo fun), puck's final monologue, winter of our discontent, every cassius monologue ever, shylock's "if you prick us" (questionable, as anything from mov is, but still resonates imo), too too solid flesh, anything that volumnia says (love her speeches), and soooo many others. that shakespeare guy sure could write huh

hey, no need to apologize! short answer: i'm not good at it!

long answer: i started playing flute almost 5 years ago (which is insane to think about) and while i was practicing or whenever i was bored, i'd look up sheet music to songs i enjoyed. however, a lot of the sheet music websites online require you to pay for the full music—that is until i found this blog that transcribed mostly pop songs, basically exactly what i'm doing rn

ofc i started wanting to play more songs (mainly musical theater bc i am unfortunately both a band kid AND a theater kid, which i think are the two most insufferable things u can be) that i liked, but it wasn't on that site. so i decided to try to start learning how to notate the vocal line or melody of a song myself, then thought other people might like having it available to them too, and thus i created this blog in december 2020.

i'd definitely love to try to notate in sheet music someday though!

new years goals

get some more exercise. no need for the gym, just exercise. hybrid calisthenics has a routine to try, and movement by david has a good knee exercise.

start making youtube videos for my business (no matter how bad they are to start with.)

be more consistent on social media for my business. at least 3 posts a week on instagram. more shortform video, since i have no choice. continue avoiding threads.

be more relaxed about sharing art. people like wips and sketches. share more wips and sketches.

set aside time in bed every night to read. maybe also play some music while i do that.

harness train amaretto and take him for walks. i think hed like that.

use my bullet journal more. including morning and evening reflections. and try to journal one line once at the end of every day in it, specifically about how i feel. i know it helps, just stick with it, even when theres not a lot of pressure.

use my water bottle again. im getting overun by cups.

try to keep on top of my hair care. call your barber in advance so you dont have to wait too long to cut it.

finish the certificate im working on before the end of june.

start making stickers. would be cool.

please tell me a little about your novella!

Okay so the basic premise is that a young woman in therapy gets caught in a timeloop where she just ends up at beginning of her appointment every time it starts over. At first she’s killed by a mugger (his name is Peter) and that’s how it starts but she finds him in the second loop and they start to become friends.

And until she gets closer to him she doesn’t even really care about breaking the loop, but then they DO get closer and she realizes that she can’t keep starting over with Peter, that she cares about him too much
