omg my favorite question. so here is where you can find mangoball and here is where you can find the mangoball christmas special. basically Cheater Cheater (the real name of the fic but everyone calls it mangoball) is a satirical rpf social media au about minecraft youtubers posted by twitter user mangobaII. a lot of it is a criticism of the specific ways 2021 mcyttwt (and specifically dteamtwt) characterized mcyts. for example, wilbur soot was seen as the quirky weird guy which translates to his mangoball counterpart getting up to tons of illegal activities and being generally really strange. george was characterized as like. well you know how in yaoi the twink one is always reduced down to being dumb and childish?? yeah that’s what the fandom did to george and this is reflected in his mangoball character. also corpse husband is there. i don’t think he’s a specific criticism of anything. he’s just there. the only disclaimer i have to give is that some of the content creators written about in mangoball (dreamteam it’s dreamteam) fucking suck irl but i’m assuming you’re aware of that? either way it’s a fantastic read, i hope you enjoy it!!

Watching Dteamtwt try to defend that George and Sapnap only get on the dsmp to grief shit with "well two years ago it was called the DREAM TEAM SMP and it's their server they can do what they want!!" is fascinating. I've seen multiple people try to argue that it was never meant to be a lore server so whatever they do is fine.

Like, even if it wasn't a lore server, you do realize it's a shitty thing? To invite people to your server and go "i can destroy your stuff over and over because it's my server" is a shitty thing. How... how does that not click in anyone's head? You could objectively not care about the lore but to argue, two years out, that it's okay for them to only get on to mess with people's stuff because that's how it used to be? Would you play on that server?

On top of the fact that it's just lazy content. We've had three or four streams of this now just this year.
