Hey Tetra, so how is the beta? What do you think of the game so far?

Sorry anon, I know I've been silent here, every time I think I want to make a post I never have enough time to make it as detailed as I used to, but never mind I'm going to give my quick opinion and then write something more in depth later.

So, first of all, I agree with everyone that the way the AP system is at the moment is too expensive. We pay 2AP for line of dialogue and many APs for choices. We get more free APs than in the past with the daily login, so that's a plus, but the choices are way too costly, especially the very basic ones (here called neutral choices), I shouldn't have to spend 40 APs to say I want a cup of tea! All that being said, I'm not too worried about it because I know that Chino has already reported this issue to management, and while these decisions are not up to her I know she sees the player's perspective and will do everything she can to make our voices heard.

Now, AP system aside, there are some things I really love!

Firstly, the website looks amazing, in the end it was worth the wait. It works super smoothly, and it's very pretty to look at.

And the closet/shop part is really easy to navigate, it's pretty much like the Sims so I'm used to it.

Also, the millennial in me who can't afford to buy her own home is really into the room decoration feature

I also enjoy the minigames. One is just like the explorations in Eldarya, but with no pet to feed, so it's a win to me. The other is outfit contests, we receive a theme and we can dress up our Candy and enrol in it. I am TERRIBLE at it, but even if you don't make it top3 you still win some APs and diamonds just for participating. You can also win stuff just by voting in the contest.

Now, to the story. The first episode was mostly an introduction so nothing much really happens, we just meet 4 of the LIs. It was cute, the mechanic is a bit tricky because we can't see immediately if the LoM increases or not, we find out at the end of the episode, but it's not nearly as bad as in ML, so I can deal with it. It's also possible to understand if the LI liked the interaction from their reactions. I think I'm starting to understand their personalities so I hope I'll get the hang of it when the game releases. I'm going to make a separate post about my impressions on the LIs, but I'm quite happy so far.

Something else I want to mention before ending this is a final pro and cons.

Cons, I don't like the "fairy". It's MC's godfather which is a cool character, apparently he is Agatha's cousin, that's nice. But he only brings gifts to Taki which I really don't care about, my duck will remain naked as nature intended. Or, anyway, I won't spend APs on it. I'm gonna try hard to avoid this guy, also because we have a choice to make with him and we can't skip it once we run into him.

The pro is instead the VIP system. From what I've seen, it looks very convenient. We get extra APs and diamonds every day, especially the diamonds it's a really good amount, which we can then exchange for more APs or cumulate to buy extra scenes (which are longer scenes with the LI). We also get some extra perks like an outfit, skip button for the replays, and extra jokers, which are little useful features that can be used in game. We don't know yet how much the VIP subscription costs, but if they stuck to the same prices as other game companies, it shouldn't be more than 10-15$.

And you anon, did you play the beta? Let me guys know what you think. People seem to be happy about most things except the AP system.

Okay it took me longer than I expected but I played the beta test. First I'd like to talk about some things I liked starting from the characters. They are all so nice, there's literally no one I don't like. Also, we have this uncle, Archibald, who is like aunt Agatha which we know, thanks to him, that she's a cousin of him so that means our two Candies are somehow related🤔 if you give him the right answer you can get gifts from him (just like aunt Agatha) for example, clothes for Taki. Now, I don't think I have much to say about the characters😂 Regarding our Candy, I like that we can put different skin color, this is something new that we already saw and it's very good. Of course you can change her hair not only for the color but also the style, just like old MCL so same for the eyes and the facial expression. You also have different things to change the room. For all these things (anything for Candy, room and pet) in the description they tell you how you can obtain a certain thing. It doesn't seem so bad for now. I also tried the mini-games and I think they work like when you send your companion in exploration in Eldarya, you have to wait for like 20min or so and you get something from there but in this I don't exactly remember how it works with the energy but seems like you can exchange gems (blue hearts) for energy. Now we're getting on things not very well explained. First of all I have no idea how many APs and gems we get every day but there's a calendar where you can receive APs, gems, hearts and items every day. I also saw that there are Jokers, but I have no idea of what those are and how do we use them, it's only written that we will be able to use it on ep 2. So regarding all this we need more explanations. About the episode: I honestly liked it, very simple, it explains why we moved from a company to this one, we get to know Roy and Thomas first then we get introduced to the other crushes and Elenda and Brune. Meanwhile Taki explains things to us while playing, but I don't really understand this thing: why do we have to pay APs when we have multiple choices? And the more the answer is close to what we decided our personality is the less the cost(which is still just a bit more than 100APs). Plus, there are positive, neutral and critical answers that are marked with a green, yellow or red triangle and these affect the lom that isn't shown right next to the character, you can find it on the library, just like in Eldarya. Now, about the illustration, as I saw some of you posting it, they aren't visible, there's only this little image of Taki putting on the wall a photo of her with another goose so I think there's a problem here😅 about the special scene, yes you have to pay for it and you get this special scene with the crush that you can replay for free when you go to the library and click on the illustration. All in all, I liked it, sure there are things that weren't exactly explained well but it's not too bad, it's actually pretty good, you can see how much they worked on it to put many things in there. Nathaniel

Race: Dark Elf

Since Dark Elves has a bad reputation, I imagine Nathaniel hiding his true nature, disguising as a “normal” elf with magic, and at certain point “something” happens where his true form is revealed, at first giving conflict, but after the acceptance of the guard (or de mc), he’ll become comfortable being in his own skin showing his real personality (just like in MCL)

Lysander

Race: Faelinne (Church grim)

Church grim is a guardian spirit in English and Scandinavian folklore that oversees the welfare of a particular Christian church, and protects the churchyard from those who would profane and commit sacrilege against it. It often appears as a black dog but So, taking inspiration from Ruth (from Mahoutsukai no Yome) and would make Lysander capable of taking the form of a dog. Since is a Faelienne, Lysander and Leigh were born in the human world, and when they reached the age, Lysander decided to "go back" to Eldarya, while Leigh chose to stay in the human world.

Guard: Absynthe

Companion: Fabibi

Armin & Alexy

Race: Fenghuang

First, I need confirmation, but all the feng people are phoenix? I understood that only the one that has the title would be the phoenix; but then, the rest of the people are like humans? Anyways, I imagine these two not being phoenixes, but able to partially take the forms of birds (like harpies).

Guard: Shadow

Companion: Lapy (since this companion is inspired by a magpie and this bird has a reputation as a thief, I think it would suit  because of the the twins naughty nature)

Drake

Race: Of course, a merman (same type as Alajea and Coalaia)

Companion: Piscxolot (imagine Drake trying to handle this creature)

Kentin

Race: Lares

Guardian deities in ancient Roman religion categorized as household gods, but some had much broader domains. To make a parallelism with MCL, I imagine him first with a youthful appearance, and then change to a more masculine look.

Jade

Race: Incubus

Incubus are demons in male form that seeks to have sexual intercourse with sleeping women; I imagine Jade as an incubus who doesn't really like to have sex but actually seeks an emotional bond with someone. But since his look (eyes?) has an aphrodisiac effect on females, he usually hides alone in the garden.

Castiel

Race: Benandati Werewolf

The Benandati were members of an agrarian Christian cult that fought against witches and any satanic forces between s.XVI and s.XVII, but the legends says that they were actually benevolent werewolves, and were associated as "Lord's Hounds", characterized by their honor, chivalrous and modesty. Imagine Castiel having Lysander as hunting pet/companion lmao

Companion: Gallytrot or Skanis (or both?)

Dajan

Race: Impundulu (Lightning Bird)

Mythological bird from Pondo, Zulu, and Xhosa folklore that can summon lightning and storms and can masquerade as a human, but usually it's a huge black and white bird of prey, and it’s widely feared as a witch's familiar. It will sound really otaku but hear me out: What if his fighting style when he’s in his human form, is just like Minato’s :D

Companion: Warrifang (The impundulu is sometimes spotted riding on the back of a hyena, because witches can turn themselves into a hyena) or Crokataur

The fact that no one here or anywhere except of FR forum talks about official ending of game speaks volumes of state of fandom. For at least last year Eldarya was simply rotting, and team was doing nothing to save it. Beemoov claims it’s because of Fire Event, personally I think it’s because they put lowest possible effort in everything. I find it really telling that Beemoov decided to put some kind of explanation AFTER they put bank outfit. Fun fact: we couldn’t find a pet on our server since the start of event.

It is kinda ironic that the game that had to change whole PA system because “they are getting bigger and have more employees” is back to roots with only one (future) game.

We had to dress the avatar like a cosplay for one of the pets. So, mine I based in Musarosa, and for the outfit is inspired by The Nutcracker, like she is a ballerina princess daughter of the rat king, but secretly she is also a flutist like Pied Piper.

Welp, I have finally finished this little pet project of mine, for now.....

If I still were into the game (I'm not active anymore becauseeeeeee: losing my account + lame sequel = lost interest in the game; yeah, I'm still salty) this could be considered as a proper gardienne. But since that's not the case here, you better take this as more of a representation of my virtual persona in a general sense if you will..... Editing and creating stuff with the PNGs from the game is the only reason why I'm still into the fandom at all XD

I think this is the most artistic I have ever been in a while. If inspiration hits me yet again, I may be tempted into making her wardrobe or even making her a backstory for the game route….maybe (her name is Lilith, for now; idk if I will ever change it)

Now, credits due:

Eye mesh + Lip mesh (you will find that they are in separate groups, but the author is still the same)

I was given permission to re-mesh and edit the original file; if you want to use their stuff, ask permission

Hair; the link takes you to the page where you can get the hairstyle (it’s the “peluca California sun” from mclul, which I used the base and for the hair texture itself).

The braid part comes from this edit of the original beemoov mesh (from this group). The mesh/structure of the “horn” updo is actually an original edit of mine…. and yessss, I definitely got inspired by Jude Duarte of The Folk of the Air iconic hairstyle

Skin details:

Beemoov: eye veins mesh (if you search for it, you won't find them as actual veins, they are more of shards of ice for the eye area), the chest tattoo, the star details at her shoulders and arms (It's actually from a cloth article of the game) Cheekbones + nose: from this group (I used various parts). The actual base mesh it just the base with the regular pointy ears; the glowing hands and miniveins + long ass ears are personal edits

Clothes + Accessories (if I didnt mention some things here its because: A) I forgot and I will add it later, B) Its a personal edit):

Barfei (or you can always search for the tumblr account under the same name) underwear + the lower cape thing, braid pin, the actual heel of the shoes Beemoov: jacket, earrings, halo (I recolored it a lot), pants and shoes (edits made from beemoov clothes; the heel part was added)
