infinity train band kid headcanons pt. 1

as always, this is made by a trumpet

tulip - solid 10th grader and the clarinet whos been judging every non-woodwind since day 1. overall well rounded but she doesnt practice ever. girl probably reads on the bus ride over. not very social, but everyone knows shes gonna be section leader whether she wants it or not.

lake - also in 10th grade and they give me tenor sax vibes: bit peculiar but very chill. dedicated and here to win, but only during competitions. they have a weird but not undeserved vendetta against the jazz kids.

jesse - gonna say he's in 11th for this. see i'm tempted to say low brass but it just doesnt feel right, so he's the one really nice drumline kid who talks to everyone a grade above or below him. all around average in terms of playing and marching and tbh hes probably going for tenor next year. probably brings food for every event, made by either him or his mom

the ninjago characters but i decide what band section theyre in and also i've only watched 3 seasons and the movie

they are all 12th graders in this

kai - drumline, probably snare, and he'd be a section leader. hes not the best snare but hes really good at teaching the freshman

jay - also drumline, specifically quad. definitely the kid who plays super loud and in between reps. he can also play really quick rhythms and uses this to try and get solos (alternatively, he is a trumpet)

cole - low brass 112%, probably a tuba. he's got that more chilled-out vibe, but hes still fun. hes a great marcher and always starts playing wumbo even when nobody asked for it. ngl i see him being a section leader too

zane: bass clarinet, you never know what youre gonna get with those guys. its a total grab bag like did u come from sax?? or clarinet?? why did you do this???? in seriousness though he's an unnaturally good player and probably section leader

nya: i think she would've started on front ensemble or something before deciding to join guard. i think she'd be on weapon line and really good at teaching the freshman, and probably is a section leader. also she'd chuck her rifle at anyone who annoys her.

lloyd: judging by how he was in season one, he picked saxophone or trumpet. no doubt about it. ended up being insanely good before jumping up to be drum major. he enjoys leading the band but he does kind of regret not staying in his section

sensei wu is the band director and garmodon is the coach that SAYS one more rep and he'll let you have a water break but he actually means 5 more reps

kin assigning band instruments to ducktales characters part one

(they are all 9th graders in this)

huey - definitely did strings, probably viola, before because he heard that if was the hardest. but strings suck so he chose something else. tbh, i think he'd have been a saxophone- in a marching band situation though he'd absolutely go for drum major.

dewey - absolutely a theater kid/choir boy. but that aside hes a trumpet, 100%. loud, bit of an ego, gets to play the melody and sure as hell wants a solo.

louie - tbh he probably didnt want to do band, but he gor forced to by his brothers. i think he would've picked percussion thinking it was the easiest. besides, only drumline kids would pull the schemes he's pulled. i'd say he's front ensemble, specifically on rack.

webby - realistically she's probably played a little bit of every instrument, but i think she'd settle for french horn. you don't see em in most school bands and i think webby would enjoy that. in marching band, she'd probably do guard tho.

hell yes i love deltarune also im adding ralsei

they are all 11th graders in this

kris - tenor sax. they're somehow eccentric but also incredibly chill and thats the embodiment of a saxophone. pretty average player and solid marcher, and hey. they might end up being a section leader. i feel like in the game they would also be a theater kid despite being a silent protagonist, it'd be really funny.

susie - shes too chaotic to be doing anything other than drumline. definitely plays way too loud and doesnt listen when shes told this, but otherwise shes a suprisingly good marcher. she's probably banned from helping to load/unload the trailer.

ralsei - i can see him being a marimba for front ensemble, and i wouldnt be surprised if he was a section leader. he definitely brings in decorations for the pit instruments when there are games. very good player, but if he was marching he wouldnt be very good at it.

berdly - dont tell me that the egotistical and competitive guy isnt a trumpet. (i say as a trumpet.) has a great range and is definitely more of a jazz player than a marching band guy (he's just okay at marching). he wants to be a section leader and he wants solos. also he was definitely a former strings kid.

noelle - she's pretty easy, i think she's a flute. they tend to be pretty normal relative to other band kids. i think she'd jump up to piccolo given the option, but shes definitely not planning to be a section leader. i can see her doing guard down the line, but for now she's very much a flute.

for their grades they are all seniors, except for lancer (sophmore)

jevil - mellophone. im gonna level with you, he just showed up one day and outperformed literally every section. so they just stuck him in the mellos and nobody has ever spoken of it again.

spamton - sax. usually a pretty average player skill wise, but something awakens in him during jazz. its scary, honestly.

sans - trombone. not only does he have the right vibes, but..

papyrus - trumpet. you can always count on one to adore the attention and think very highly of themself

lancer - i can't explain or justify this claim in any way, but cymbal line. just trust me.

he's the one band kid in existence who actually enjoys parades.

for their ages luz, willow and amity are 10th graders

king and gus are 9th graders

hunter is in 11th grade

eda is an alumni

luz: saxophone or front ensemble. kinda wants to do guard but guard kids are intimidating

eda: probably did trumpet and probably got some solos too, she has the right vibes. not a section leader but definitely had the highest range in high school

king: tbh probably drumline (bassline if you want to be specific). goes from drum major and/or section leader every year but he has not gotten it

willow: she started in guard but ended up joining front ensemble. tbh maybe she ends up going for drum major

gus: hes too much of a gamer to not be a saxophone. and you know what, he's pretty good at it.

amity: started on trumpet because of her parents. i'd say clarinet but because of the solos and competition we have it seems more right. she eventually found her way into guard or something tho

hunter: i'd put him in with the mellophones. you can always find the nutjobs there

lilith (bonus): went from clarinet to section leader to drum major and thinks she's cool because of it

making the part three of the ducktales band kids headcanon that nobody asked for, sue me

also im adding grades to all of these- lena is in 10th and the rest are in 9th

lena - front ensemble, i couldnt find a good image but i think she'd be on crotales. effectively forced into band by the gang.

violet - clarinet. shes a nerd with a hint of im better than you (make no mistake she is). great player and marcher, but she cant really put the 2 together. 100% plans on being a drum major.

boyd - also a clarinet, but could be found in any woodwind group. he's arguably one of the best players in the section but he does NOT understand how to read a drill card.

may - she'd be in guard, on flag line. i think she's bolder than june, but less eccentric than webby. very new and still learning, but her goal is to be on weapon line.

june - flute. i dont really have an explanation, it just seems right. the moment she figures out how to read her drill card she's going to be a great marcher, but her playing could use some work

band kid headcanons again but im doing hilda (im back bbyy)

they are all 9th graders in this

hilda - it was a tough call, but i think she'd be a mello. she really, really, really wants to be a soloist and always ends up blasting her part. (people respect the enthusiasm though) she likes meeting kids from other schools more than talking to her own band at games and competitions. misses 1 practice a week doing some random wise mystical tree stuff

frida - front ensemble. already set on being lead marimba and section leader, which'll be cool once she can actually memorize the music. her favorite part of all this is watching and being able to critique other shows and spot the kid who clearly skipped practice.

david - idk why but i get clarinet vibes from him. specifically in a "his parents made him do it in 4th grade and he ended up sticking with it" way. opposite to hilda in the sense that like most freshman he does NOT play for 75% of the show. also im gonna say he got drill right up front and is making it a bigger deal then it is
