thinking abt the log of the Demeter again. bro. getting my lil emails from the poor captain talking about how his ship was haunted and the men were vanishing one by one but he was pluggin on ... knowing he was gettin stalked by a hungry vampire ... still thinking there was a chance, when they hit the channel, that he might make it, and then hearing from Mina about a stray ship that eventually run around with the captain dead and holding the line with his own dead body ... bruh

no thoughts, captain of the Demeter brave as hell, this was a helluva way to read that section for the first time.

...actually yes thoughts. this woulda been a totally different reading experience the way Stoker originally released it. in the book you know from the beginning, right? because the logs are released after Mina hears about the wreck. in the novel you're reading about a dead man's last days, but with the emails we were watching him die and I had no idea.
