BEST FICTIONAL DETECTIVE POLL
Tumblr media
hello autistic and gay people. welcome to the fictional detective poll.
This bracket will be about voting the Fictional Detective Ever Of All Time.
FIRST ROUND STARTS MONDAY 6 PM EST
SUBMISSIONS ARE CLOSED
RULES:
Detective doesn't have to mean police. Private Detectives count. If a character gives off detective vibes or is kind of a detective in that they look for clues ( a spy for example), I will decide for myself if i think they count. you can argue their case in the form if you like.
No real people. This means documentaries about real detectives solving actual for real crimes. No. Gotta be a not-real person.
Please only submit a certain character once, but multiple characters is absolutely permitted and encouraged!
Yes, groups and units are allowed (i.e. Sherlock and Watson, the Scooby-Doo Gang, etc.)
Pleeeaaassseee send in propaganda! make it sfw. please <3
NOTES:
I have a few detectives in mind, so if there are not enough submissions by the end date, I will go ahead and add them in. If still not enough, I will re-open submissions. 32 is the amount.
I will randomly assign who's against who buuuut I will interact with it if I think a character stands no chance. I also might ask you guys about it tee hee
I cannot think of any fandoms that might conceivably have a detective that I want to ban right off the bat, but I might add some as characters roll in.
(i was inspired to do this by the

Do you think your character is amazingly well written but still unforgivably evil. Do you understand all of their actions but still think they need to go to blorbo jail. Then this is the tournament for you! Submit your favorite well written evil bitch. Here are the rules
•Don’t use ableist or offensive terms. •No Harry Potter or real life characters.
•My profile pic is already submitted
•All submissions will be through asks. Please submit a picture as well.
•Submissions will stop at 32.
•Only one character can be submitted by each person.
•Tell me if anything I’m doing is offensive and I will change it.
Yes these are the new rules after I changed the tournament. Psychopath is ableist and not funny. Please be respectful to everyone.
I’ll tag the same tournaments under the cut

You ever just look at a character and think, “Wow, they are the most (insert adjective) character I’ve ever seen”?
The most pretty, fashionable, shippable, stupid, smart, silly, blue, skrunkly, wizardly, adorable, evil, malewife, kind, annoying, gay, straight, bitable, wise, feral, lovable, punchable, purple, queer-coded, and many more. This is a bracket that wants all of the most characters out there!
This is…
The Most Character Ever Tournament!
In this tournament, we will be searching to find the most character. What is the most character? Honestly, no clue.
That will be decided by you.
In this tournament, I challenge you to decide on an adjective and stick with it throughout. For example, say you choose the most skrunkly. With every poll, you will choose which character is the most skrunkly of the options. But someone else might have decided to vote for the most evil characters. And someone else may have chosen the most queer-coded! You don’t have to, of course. I can’t force you. But I’d think it’d be really cool if you all voted for characters for different reasons lol
I will be seeding. I will close submissions at 128 characters. I will accept every character submitted (as long as I’m fine with it and it doesn’t break the rules) before it hits the limit. Each poll will take a week.
Will this end up being a big mess?
Probably.
Will this take a bit because of how many characters I’m accepting?
I hope so.
Will this be a lot of work on your end?
Definitely!
Do you care?
Nope! I think it’s a fun idea, so I’m doing it and sticking to it no matter what!
Although, there are definitely some rules I have to establish regarding the characters being submitted.
No Harry Potter characters. Fuck JKR. :)
OC’s are definitely allowed! Due to them being OC’s, I would like a more detailed description of them so that I can share it for the people who have no idea who they are
No real people, ffs
Don’t spam characters
I may add more rules if I think of them, so stay tuned.

Hi ! I go by Cathy and am running this tournament.
"Multiple birth" is a term used when babies from a multiple pregnancy are born. Usually we refers to two babies born this way as twins, three babies as triplets etc.
/!\ This tournament is about webcomics only
(We'll see about other genres at another time - I may include indie paper comics if I don't get enough submissions)
So submit your twins/triplets/quadruplets/quintuplets/sextuplets/etc. here :
(Unfinished webcomics are fine)
I'm going to need some help for boosting this tournament so I'll ask a hand to the mods of these tournaments that I've enjoyed so far or am looking forward to that you should absolutely check out : @webcomic-character-tournament @webtoon-bad-parents-tournament @wlw-webcomic-bracket @obscurewebcomictournament @cinderpoll @girlygirltournament @buried-gays-tournament @blond-jerk-tourney @best-organ-bracket @best-birdnamed-blorbo-bracket @fictional-detective-tournament @chapter-title-tournament @shortstorytournament @doll-tournament @best-book-siblings @victimsofyaoipoll
Oh and @tournament-announcer if you wouldn't mind reblogging this too, it'd help greatly :)

Fictional Detective Tournament!
Rules:
Please only submit characters through the attached form.
The submission deadline is October 22nd.
As the name suggests, no real people. If you have an ambiguous where it’s someone playing a character in a roleplay, feel free to explain how they count as a fictional character and not as the real person playing them and I will consider it.
I will accept different versions of Sherlock Holmes on top of regular Sherlock Holmes as long as they’re intended to be different from regular Sherlock Holmes. (Ie Fate/Grand Order Sherlock Holmes, Moriarty the Patriot Sherlock Holmes, etc.)
I am aware that this tournament has been done before. I do not mean to disrespect anyone who has run this tournament before. I simply would like to run one myself because I love detectives and want to spotlight some of the lesser known ones that I love, as well as ones that are submitted.
Please do not submit characters from media where an author who is openly problematic is still alive and actively profiting off of the work. (Harry Potter, Rurouni Kenshin, etc.) This is my first time trying this, so I don’t have a banlist prepared, hence the broadness. I will look over characters after submission and if I feel that a piece of media could fall under this, I will ask for further opinions.
I will also take characters who aren’t explicitly referred to as detectives if they spend a lot of time in the media they’re from investigating and or trying to solve a mystery. There will a section in the form for justifications and explanations if necessary.
Characters based on real people are allowed as long as they aren’t meant to actually be the real person they represent.
No OCs. Otherwise I would be tempted to include my *7* detective OCs. But feel free to tell me about your detective OCs in the asks and maybe I’ll run that sometime.
Please denote if the character you want me to accept is from an 18+ source. I will accept them if there are SFW pictures of them, I would just like to know so that I can be careful when searching and can tag the polls with them accordingly.
Characters auto accepted because they are the host’s blorbos: Lord El Melloi II/Waver Velvet, All the detectives from the ADA from Bungo Stray Dogs plus Yukito Ayatsuji from Bungo Stray Dogs Another, the main quintent from Tantei Gakuen Q, Lady Love Dies from Paradise Killer, Shinichi Kudo/Conan Edogawa from Detective Conan, and the main characters of The Swifts: A Dictionary of Scoundrels (Please read this book.) However, I will accept propaganda for these characters! If I don’t get any, I will write some myself, but I appreciate hearing other people gush about characters I love.
Please be respectful of everyone involved. People being rude in the tags will be blocked.
The form is here!:
About the Host!
I’m Zero! My main blog is at @zero-on-the-clocktower . I’m 19 and use any pronouns. I love detectives and mysteries in general and am happy to give you recommendations if you’d like.

Hello
What is your favorite YouTube video! Is it me at the zoo? Is it a playthrough of an obscure video game? Is it the first episode a an indie animated series. I wanna know! And that’s why I’m creating this tournament. To not only find a bunch of great videos but also to find out which of those is the best video!! The rules are underneath
All submissions will be from asks as a way to prevent voter fraud.
You are not limited to one YouTube video. Each person can submit up to 5 different videos.
Believe it or not I don’t watch that many YouTubers so I might not know if something is problematic. If you want something removed message me about it.
Please keep in mind that YouTubers are real people in counter propaganda and such
If you have any questions about anything message me
Have fun!
With that out of the way the tags are under the cut
