“Anything else you wanna say that might make me change my mind? Heard you were a damn good pilot, maybe I can convince you to serve me instead of the Resistance,” Poe brushed the back of his gloved index finger over your cheek.
Commander Poe Dameron of the First Order fleet had a dangerous glint in his eye accompanied by a malicious smirk. Your breath hitched in your throat. He was terrifying to you. You knew exactly what he was capable of, and when he made a threat…he always followed through. If he meant to kill you, then you’d be dead before the night was over.
“Out!” He shouted, forcing you to jump.
He shooed the storm troopers out of the interrogation room. They clicked away on the durasteel floor. He tutted at you and shook his head slowly before he undid your restraints. You fell to the ground on your knees and groaned. He grabbed you by the sleeve of your coat and pulled you up. His face was so close to yours.
“What’s it gonna be gorgeous?” His eyes were darting between yours rapidly. “Last chance.”
“You’re a traitor.” You spat, trying to pull free, but you weren’t strong enough.
“Am I?” He turned you around and slammed you against the wall, pressing himself against you, “I’m not the one who nearly got the entire Resistance killed and then blamed someone who was supposed to be their friend, am I?” He said in a low growl, bringing his lips to your ear, “am I?”
You grunt, trying to get him off of you but he’s pushing too hard, and he’s far stronger than you are.
“Fuck you.”
“Thought you’d never ask.”
“No wait–!”
Poe’s gloved hand covered your mouth quickly, silencing your protests while he pulled your pants down as far as he could and then started working on his own. He was moving fast, trying to fight against you and pull himself out at the same time was proving to be difficult, but he managed.
“Stop fighting me, you were always fighting me. That’s why you ended up being Leia’s favorite isn’t it? Hm? She liked it when you would try to put me in my place.” You felt his cock prodding at your tightly pressed thighs. “Better open your legs baby or I’m gonna have to do it for you, and I won’t be nice.”
You parted your thighs ever so slightly, and squealed the moment his cock touched your entrance. He oohed and let out a dark chuckle against your cheek.
“Never been fucked before have you? No one back home broke you in huh? Guess I’ll always be doing the Resistance’s dirty work.”
There was no prep, no kind words, not even the mercy of taking it slow when Poe thrust his fat cock into your untouched hole. You felt it rip, and then you felt the warmth of blood that coated his length while he continued his assault on your tight pussy. You were crying, sobbing, and internally begging; but he didn’t care, and he wasn’t slowing down.
“Like the way your cunt feels baby, kinda wish I’d fucked you back in the day, oh you’re so warm. So damn soft.”
He was huffing into your ear, and you were crying, heavy tears streaming down your cheeks over his gloves. None of that mattered to him, he kept going; he kept rutting his fat dick into your tight and aching hole while he moaned as if he’d never felt anything better.
“You know what–oh fuck–what I’m gonna do now sweetheart? Hm?” He was breathless while he spoke, “I’m gonna fuck a baby into you, wouldn’t you like that? Wouldn’t you like giving birth to the next great First Order pilot?”
Your sobs continued, as did his incessant grinding into your ruined cunt. He was so big, splitting you wider and wider the more he fucked into you. It hurt so much you could hardly stand it, the burn of your torn skin, and it only felt like it was getting worse the longer it went on. You felt his lips on your neck, sucking there gently, now that did feel good. You didn’t want it to though. The last thing you wanted to do was make him think that you were enjoying any part of this, even for a second.
“Mm, you liked that didn’t you? Felt your pussy squeeze over me when I did that.” He kissed just below your earlobe, and your body reacted again. He huffed out a laugh, “I’m close, and I’m gonna do it. I’m going to give you a baby, make you big and round, fill you up with my cum. You ready for me sweetheart? Hm?” His voice was rough and wrecked as he sped up his pace.
You tried to shake your head; you tried to tell him no, but he didn’t care. He did it, he filled you so full of his cum it was spilling out around the sides and dripping onto the durasteel floor at his feet. He stayed in there too, pushing his spend back into you so he could make good on his promise to make you bear his child. He stayed inside of you until he was soft, and his breathing returned to normal.
You were still crying as he let go of you and stepped back, pulling his pants up and looping his belt closed. “I’ll send the troopers back in to get you. You’ll be staying in the med bay under twenty-four hour supervision until my child is born, and then after that…you’ll be staying with me.”

Smooth Talker Part 2
Poe Dameron x Reader
Tumblr media
Masterlist - Part 1 - Join My Taglist!
Requested on Wattpad! I normally don't do Part 2 requests, but an idea for this one popped immediately into my head and I couldn't let it go :)
Summary: Through a truly ridiculous series of events, you've managed to become a *triple* agent for the Resistance, being sent back to your original base by the First Order as a trusted spy after spending time as a Resistance spy in First Order territory. You can't wait to be back home, and even better, to tell your boyfriend Poe Dameron just what level of bs you managed to pull off.
Word Count: 1,522
Category: Fluff, Humor
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
I tried to keep a smile off my face as I stood, back straight and hands behind my back, facing General Armitage Hux. He'd been my main point of contact for the past few months after he'd been the one to recruit me as a First Order spy, and the fact that I hadn't laughed in his face a single time that he'd been telling me all about what being a spy would entail was a true testament to my skills.
I'd been undercover for the Resitance deep in First Order territory when he'd come knocking with a bunch of soldiers because he suspected my apartment was a hideout for Resistance sympathizers and activity. And, to be fair, he was right. Poe Dameron, my boyfriend, had snuck in for a rare visit and left literal minutes before Hux and his friends showed up. But I'd done such a good job answering their interrogation questions that, instead of arresting me, they'd recruited me.
Now, after months of preparing, I was being sent on my way to find and infiltrate the Resistance's base. I'd need to be careful not to blow my true allegiances, but once I got out of range of the First Order and was only expected to make occasional reports, I couldn't help thinking this would be my easiest assignment yet.
"Are we clear on communication protocols and the kind of information we're most interested in?" asked Hux as I tuned back in to the end of his lecture. I nodded once, curtly.
"Yes sir."
"Good. Then best of luck to you. You're doing your Order a great service."
I saluted, fast and sharp, exemplifying the unshakeable, blind commitment they looked for in their recruits. I held it for a few moments, then Hux nodded and I let my hand fall back to my side.
"I look forward to hearing what you have to report."
The march through the rest of the ship felt like a dream. I was being dropped fairly far from anywhere the First Order suspected of being a Resistance base to make sure no one would be suspicious of me, but I was still closer to home than I'd been in a long, long time. I could swear I felt the latent tension of the past six months ease out of my shoulders as I watched the ship disappear without me on it.
I took a moment to enjoy the feeling, then quickly got my head back in the game. There was still a chance, however slim, that Hux was playing me. If I wasn't careful, I could accidentally lead the First Order right back to the Resistance base they'd spent so long looking for.
I spent the next week doing my due diligence, making sure no one was following me and that I didn't have a tracker on me anywhere that I didn't know about. I sent a brief update to Hux through the convoluted method we'd come up with for contact, telling him that I had a lead and was going to follow up on it, and then I finally started the trek home.
When the entrance to the Resistance base finally came into view another full week and change later, my heart leapt. It was vital to my cover that I didn't let myself dwell on how much I'd missed this place while living among First Order personnel, but now that I was finally safe, I almost starting crying at the sight of it. I hadn't really realized how badly I'd wanted to be back here until now.
I walked the rest of the way up with a massive smile on my face, scanning the crowd for anybody I recognized. I got some strange looks, largely from newer recruits who didn't know me, but then finally I found one of the people I was most hoping to see.
Poe Dameron stood just across the hanger with his back to me. I grinned and started walking towards him with purpose, and after a moment, the person he was talking to noticed me and pointed over Poe's shoulder. Poe turned around with a frown that quickly changed into a confused but beaming smile, then started rushing towards me. I sped up too, until we were running towards each other across the hanger. As soon as I got in reach, Poe picked me up and spun me around in a tight hug, then set me back on the ground only to pull me into a searing kiss. I kissed him back just as hard, wrapping my arms around his shoulders and tangling my hands in his hair. I ended up breaking the kiss as a joyful laugh bubbled out of me; finally we were together without the looming threat of a First Order solider at the door ruining the moment.
"What... what are you doing here?" he asked, still smiling and completely breathless. I laughed again, joy overflowing in my chest as I looked at the man I loved.
"You'll absolutely never believe it," I said with a crooked smile. He raised an eyebrow at me, so I continued. "I've been recruited as a spy for the First Order."
"...You what?"
I laughed as Poe stared at me, brow furrowed as he tried to figure out what was happening. I couldn't exactly blame him–I still wasn't totally sure how I'd managed to get here.
"It's the craziest story you'll ever hear, and I promise to tell you every last detail later tonight. But right now, I should really go and see Leia."
"Now hold on a minute," Poe said, grabbing my waist and pulling me a little tighter to him. As if I'd be moving away from him voluntarily any time soon. "You have to give me a little more than that, first."
I smiled. "Okay, but you have to promise not to freak out when I tell you the first part."
Poe frowned, looking incredibly nervous, but nodded anyway.
"Alright..."
"So remember the last time I saw you, when you visited me in the apartment where I was hiding out to spy on the First Order? Well that same night, right after you left, General Hux and Kylo Ren themselves came knocking with a whole host of troopers at their backs."
"They WHAT?"
"You said you wouldn't freak out! Just listen."
I could see Poe practically vibrating and fuming with delayed panic and about a thousand questions, but to his credit, he managed to hold them back with nothing more than slightly tightening his grip on my waist.
"Well, they asked me a bunch of questions because they thought a Resistance spy base was operating out of my apartment-" Poe winced, but I ignored him and kept going. "-and I answered the questions well enough that they decided I was clearly a loyal member of the First Order with a passion for them and their rule. So, instead of arresting me, they recruited me to be a spy! Of course I said yes, and now I'm here as a triple agent, so I can feed them a bunch of bad information, or information that comes just a little too late for them to do anything about it while still being correct, all while being here again, on base with you and everybody else."
Poe huffed a disbelieving laugh, just staring and blinking at me for a few moments while he processed. Then a smile spread across his face again, even as he shook his head.
"That is... incredible. I can think of about a thousand other things I could say about it too, but... just wow."
"I know," I said with a grin. I stepped back slightly out of his embrace, then took his hand instead. At some point we would have to go do separate activities on base, but I didn't plan on spending a second away from Poe right now until I had to. "Now, I need to go talk to Leia and Major Ematt about all this. Come with me?"
Poe matched my grin, still shaking his head but letting me pull him out of the hanger base with me.
"Of course. I'd follow you anywhere, you absolute maniac."
I just laughed as Poe fell into step beside me, our hands still held tight as we marched through the base. By no means was this war over; we still had so much work to do, and being back on base didn't even come close to putting me out of danger. But now I was in danger and fighting alongside Poe and all the people I cared about, while still putting my skills as a spy to full use. It was the best of both worlds, and in the middle of fighting back against an Empire that just didn't want to stay down, victories like this alongside loved ones were the things most worth fighting for.

It was always nice to sleep in a warm, comfortable bed when there was a snowstorm outside, not bothering you in any way. It was even nicer when you woke up in the arms of a loved one... Or with a loved one in your arms.
That's how Y/N and Armitage woke up after one of the best nights in their lives. They smiled at each other in the bliss of the moment, feeling so content, so warm... Hux was about to go even furhter in becoming vulnerable around her and leaned a little to kiss her on the forehead with a sincere smile on his face. His lips were mere inches from her when...
She sat up suddenly, then immediately slid off his tall bed, disappointing him greatly.
"Where are you going?" he asked, still a bit sleepy.
"What do you mean?" She turned to him with raised eyebrows, giving him the chance to adore her in the black bathrobe she had fallen asleep
in. "We're late already, and I have to get to my station before..."
"Come back here," he cut her off sharply.
She sighed, wondering why he was playing this game when they both knew what had to be done.
"Armitage, you know I can't."
He raised his eyebrows in disbelief.
"Am I not the one here who says what people can and can't do? Come back here, it was an order."
At this point Y/N could see he was not playing around. With no other option, she did come back to him, and he hugged her almost possessively.
"And what now?"
"You're staying with me today," he announced.
"And work?"
"Firstly, the snowstorm is still raging. They'll be clearing this up all day," he said matter-of-factly. "Secondly, today is my birthday."
Birthday. Did it even mean anything? Ever since Hux could remember, birthday has always been just a day he was born on, nothing to celebrate. He never did anything special on this day and nobody cared, not even his father while he was still alive...
But he had the slightest hope Y/N might care.
He watched her face carefully as she raised her head to look at him in utter shock.
"Your birthday? And you didn't even tell me!" She smacked his chest lightly. "Not like I would be able to give you a gift, but..."
"The best gift will be you staying here," he said before he even thought about it, and she had no idea it would be the first gift in his life.
He spoke sincerely, so a sincere smile appeared on her face.
"In that case, I'm not going anywhere," she whispered and kissed his chest, snuggling into him again, and for that moment, he could sell his soul, and maybe the entire galaxy, too.
"I'll take care of the essentials, then," he said and then reached for one of the buttons on his nightstand. "Keep quiet for now," he added, then proceeded to press the button.
Never has Hux ever thought he'd be talking to the holo of one of his subordinates with a girl snuggled into his chest, but there he was, doing just that.
"Yes, General?"
"Report on the situation," he commanded in a voice that gave her goosebumps.
"The storm is slowly dying down. Soon we will be able to send out the Firetroopers."
"Right then. Order a droid to bring breakfast to my quarters. The same as yesterday, doubled. And tell everyone not to disturb me today unless it's urgent."
"Understood, General."
"And more tarine tea."
"Yes, sir, sending the order right now."
Hux ended the call and turned back to Y/N, content.
"You can choose the dinner later," he said as if to explain why he didn't even ask what she wanted.
Unthinkable. General Hux explained himself to his inferior.
She raised her hands a little as if surrendering.
"It's your birthday, I would not dare."
He had to think about these words for a moment. It was something completely new to him... And he felt comfortable enough with her to admit it.
"I have never celebrated my birthday before," he said quietly, surprising her greatly.
"Never? Not even as a child?"
"Never, Y/N," he repeated harshly, then regretted it immediately. "I have never been given a gift, either."
"Oh, Armitage..." she whispered, then ran a hand through his hair affectionately while it was in its rare, imperfect state.
His words saddened her greatly. More and more often Hux appeared in her mind as not the harsh, ruthless General he was when she first met him, but a broken man, just trying to thrive in the
brutal world they found themselves in. If you showed any weakness at all, the others would kill you... And it seemed like she was his only weakness for now.
"I would love to do something for you. I don't know, maybe prepare breakfast...?"
"Should I send you down to the kitchens, then?"
"Oh, you know what I mean." She rolled his yes, and then a mischievous grin appeared on her face. "I do have an idea, though..."
Before he could ask her what it was, her hand was already under the sheets, moving along the side of his body right to his thigh. She began touching him between his legs without any warning, making him let out a sigh of surprise. Seconds later, she was crawling towards the foot of the bed, then threw the sheets off of him. He only had his own bathrobe on.
She untied it quickly to reveal his naked body,
but there was one particular spot she focused on.
Hux already knew what she was going to do, and the thought alone made him hotter. It was one of his fantasies he didn't get the chance to fullfil - yet. When she made sure he wasn't against it, but watched her with hope in his eyes, she clasped her hand around his length. He swallowed hard as she began moving it up and down, and he really didn't much to get hard.
That was the moment she could proceed to the next part of her plan. She opened her mouth to lick along his shaft, long and slow, making him let out a loud sigh. She wanted to hear it again, so she licked him a few more times starting from his balls as she kept on moving her hand along.
As more and more saliva gathered in her mouth, she spit some of it onto his penis, right before...
"Fuck, Y/N." He rasped as her mouth closed around his cock, earning a sensation he had never experienced before.
She smiled to herself after that.
"Enjoy yourself," she whispered before putting his penis back into her mouth. At that moment, she wanted him to feel pleasure, and so she began sucking on him, taking as much of him as she could without gagging.
He closed his eyes, forgetting about the entire universe and letting himself enjoy every second. He had never had this done to him, and the pleasure was almost unbelievable. When he thought about how she could do that on her knees, somewhere under his desk, it made him even more aroused.
They both heard a loud, electronical buzz - it meant the food had arrived - but it was the last thing either of them cared about at that moment. A loud grunt escaped Hux's lips, prompting Y/N to speed up her pace, and that was enough to bring him over the edge.
Seconds later, his body began shaking with the
orgasm she brought him. He cummed all over her face, and he opened his eyes to see that.
When he saw everything dripping down her face he knew it was a view which was going to be engraved in his memory for a long time, if not forever. It immediately made him wish to try that on other parts of her body, but that had to wait - the orgasm he had just experienced definitely required a cooldown.
Y/N stood up slowly, wiping the cum off her lips. It was a new experience for her as well, but the only thing that mattered then was that he was satisfied.
"Salty," she said, having felt the taste of his cum on her tongue. "Just like you," she added with a laugh, breathing heavily.
"I'll tell you how you taste next time," he replied, his chest raising and going down quickly.
She just smiled proudly, then looked to her side
at the door to the bathroom.
"I'll go... Brush my teeth," she said eventually.
He followed her quickly and they both took a quick shower together before putting on comfortable clothes and going into his office to get the food. They sat in his bed to eat it, and Hux didn't even worry about making a mess - his sheets were already stained, so Hux was going to send them to laundry anyways.
"What was that call just now?" Y/N asked curiously, settling herself right next to her lover after coming out of the bathroom.
"Ren," Armitage replied with disgust. "He wanted to take a squad to do Maker knows what. I let him just to have peace. Besides, I think he asked more to annoy me than to get something he really needed."
"Oh... He really likes pissing you off, doesn't he?"
"Mhm." Hux hummed, taking a bite out of his breakfast. "You've never told me how the two of you actually met," he added suddenly.
Y/N looked up from her plate, wondering how to word the story so as not to piss the General off even more.
"Well, my father was a pilot," she began. "He was teaching Kylo about our ships the first time he came here. I was still studying to be a medic at the time. Kylo got injured and my father was like, hey, my daughter can patch you up... I think he wanted us to get together back then."
Hux wasn't a big fan of this last bit of the story, but he didn't comment on it. He got another question instead.
"And how come someone like you clicked with him?"
"I was just... Unimpressed by his tantrums, I guess. And I was genuinely interested in knowing
more about him. He said no one really did, not even his family."
"Wonder why." Hux scoffed, making her chuckle.
"Kylo... Isn't really that awful, really." She looked back at her plate, looking for the best bits with her fork. "It just depends when and how you approach him..."
"Oh, alright, I don't want to listen to any more of it," he cut her off, shaking his head. "Especially today."
"Right... Because today is your day," she said with a beam. She leaned a little towards him to cup his face with one hand.
"Happy birthday," she whispered, and then kissed him straight on the lips, long enoigh to let him bathe in the bliss of the moment.
He had never heard that. And no matter where life took him, he would never forget that day.
They spent the entire day together, eating, talking, and just enjoying each other's company away from the prying eyes. But when the evening rolled around, Y/N know the fairytale had to end.
She was sitting against the headboard with Armitage's head in her lap, giving him a head massage. He was sure he had not felt this relaxed in months, years maybe, thus forgetting about the harsh reality that was facing them.
"Armitage... My shift would be almost done now..." Y/N said sadly, having looked at tiny the holotable next to his bed. "I hate it, but... I think I really need to get going soon."
Hux, who was, at that point, in complete bliss, opened his eyes and sat up suddenly, leaving her surprised. He looked at her and watched her searchingly for a moment, hesitating... And eventually shook his head, having come to a decision.
"Fuck this. I don't want you to go."
He said that in a way which made her shiver. She didn't want to leave, obviously, but she knew she had to be rational.
"But you know we have already..."
"Nobody knows you're here," he cut her off, "and if someone asks, I sent you to do something off planet or whatever. I don't care at this point. Stay here."
Hux was determined. Not only because it was his birthday, but also because he simply couldn't get enough of her. All these moments they spent together were nourishing the feelings he had for her, as if watering a flower that was just about to bloom.
She looked him in the eye and there were sincere emotions written all over his face. She could almost feel him pleading even if he didn't say
anything else. Y/N was also in so much joy it was hard to express; how was she to refuse?
"You know I want to," she uttered eventually.
"Then why don't you, if your commander himself allows it?"
She didn't even open her mouth to argue, because she didn't want to. Instead, she allowed him to grab her hips and pull her towards himself to close the distance between them in a passionate kiss.
It sealed the deal. They both gave into their dreams and she stayed with him for one more night, even if they knew how risky it was.
They fell asleep in each other's arms, just like they woke up, and both of them wished they could start and end their day like this more often.
The next day, there was no other option. They had to part and show themselves to the other soldiers separately so that no one would suspect
anything. They resumed their duties at once, and Y/N made sure not to even look at him on the rare occasions he showed up anywhere near her, however, it was becoming harder and harder for him to restrain himself.
And Kylo Ren himself was about to make everything even more complicated.
It had been five long days, especially for Y/N who got her period. She and Hux did not exchange a single word, they did not meet the other's eyes, and they just kept themselves busy with their duties - but it did not mean they were not thinking about each other, especially at night, when they wished they could be next to the other person.
And then one day Kylo Ren forced Hux to call a meeting of all officers, claiming he had important information. Y/N was kind of excited to join it, since it was her first meeting as a lieutenant, and found it even more exciting when she entered the conference room.
General Hux was already there, sitting by the long, black table with red markings, and the seat on his right was still empty. As soon as he saw her enter the room, their eyes met, making the atmosphere tense before everything even started.
He gave her a stern look, then glanced subtly at the seat beside him, giving her clear permission to sit there. She was hesitant, but she couldn't ask him whether he was sure, the decision had to be made then and there. Excitement was filling her up as she did take the seat next to him.
"General." She bowed her head as a greeting, and he bowed back, keeping his jaw clenched so as not to smile at her.
It was not a good idea to let her sit there. Even in public, they were just inches apart, starved for any form of touch... If only he could put his hand on her thigh... Or at least on her hand...
He almost forgot how attractive she looked with the ponytail and the uniform tight on her thighs and buttocks. Kriff, he had to stop himself from looking at her, otherwise someone would definitely notice, especially Kylo. But at least he knew she was right next to him, and he could protect her at any given moment if needed.
She could also feel the tension, the warmth swirling in the cool room just between the two of them. She taught herself how to avoid looking at him, but it was the first time they were this close in public for a longer period of time.
Kylo appeared in the room not much later, visibly agitated even if no one could see his face. He did not sit, but stood at the top of the table, already making Hux tick. The General rose from his seat and spoke with pure hatred:
"Now, Ren. What was so important you had to gather all of us here on such short notice?"
"You should be thanking me, General Hux," Kylo
replied through his mask. "We have just intercepted information that someone from the Resistance will be at the Canto Casino tomorrow, receiving information about the location of the map. They are still working on who it will be. Either way, we need a spy who will get this information so we can reach the location first."
"Then maybe we should send a squad there to arrest him?" one of the officers suggested.
"No, because they will change the location again and hide," Kylo retorted. "We need to do this quietly in order to surprise them. I suggest Lieutenant Y/L/N for this mission."
Hux mouth fell agape. "Why her?"
He said that before thinking, making her breatheless for that split second before Kylo replied:
"Because I said so."
"Sir, I have worked as a s..." another one of the officers spoke, but Ren was not having it.
"Will you do it?" he asked Y/N directly and she could sense Armitage's eyes on her, even though she didn't see his face.
"Of course," she replied, and she suspected Hux was fighting with himself at that very moment. Kylo knew that.
"I sense displeasure from you, General Hux."
The General gulped. It took every ounce of focus in his body not to think about Y/N at that moment the way he usually did. He regretted his earlier question immediately and had to find a quick way out. But, after all, he didn't become a general for nothing.
"Because I don't know who gave you the permission to command my soldiers," he half-lied to him.
"She agreed, so there's nothing to discuss."
Despite these words, a short discussion did ensue, but it eventually ended up in another room after Hux agreed, even if on the inside he was seething with anger. Less than ten minutes later him, Kylo and Y/N were standing in front of a screen while one of the officers, Tador, was operating it.
"We suspect it will be one of these Resistance fighters," Tador said, pushing a button to show pictures of five different people on the holo screen. "I will send their pictures and all information we have on them to Lieutenant Y/L/N's datapad."
Y/N focused her eyes on the pictures, already trying to remember each face. It was rare to get a mission that was for herself only; she wanted to do well, show off even if she had the chance.
"We also have one of our fake identities at the ready," Tador continued, clicking another button, and the screen changed again. "Inda Chonell. I'll send the profile and background story to the datapad as well... The fake ID should be ready as well..."
Hux was listening to all this and fighting the urge to scream. He was furious, and for many reasons - because he was sure Kylo did this on purpose, because he did this without consulting him, because Ren was Ren, because Y/N agreed, and, most importantly, because she was putting herself in danger. He suspected it would not change much, but he asked anyways:
"Are you certain you can do this, Lieutenant?"
Y/N turned to meet his gaze and she could read him like an open book. She could see the anger in him and she knew what that question meant; he was giving her a chance to step back, but she didn't want to. She knew she would not hear the end of it, but this wasn't the time for thinking about it, especially with Kylo in the same room.
"Yes, General. I will do my best."
"According to new information," Tador interjected suddenly, relieving the tension between Hux and Y/N for a moment, "it is most likely they're sending one of their best pilots. Poe Dameron is his name," he continued, putting up his picture on the screen.
"Listen, I don't care how you do it," Kylo said after a moment of silence, standing in front of her and, as a result, cutting her off from Hux. "Beat him, shoot him, seduce him, sleep with him if you have to, but get that information at any cost."
Hux stepped aside from behind Ren to see Y/N again, and his face was showing nothing but utter outrage. She saw that and felt a knot form in her stomach, but couldn't react as Kylo was watching her closely.
"I understand how important this is, Kylo," she replied, having cleared her throat. "And I know what to do."
"I hope."
Later Y/N received her fake identification, and Kylo scheduled a ship to take her to Canto Bight the very first thing in the morning. It seemed like everything was done and decided... But Y/N knew that things were far from over.
Hux took her to his office immediately after, and all of his movements were aggressive, even the way he locked the door after they found themselves next to his desk.
"Why did you agree to do this?" he asked immediately, having had this question on his mind ever since the meeting. His voice was raised and full of anger, and he hadn't spoken to her like this in a long time. She almost took a step back in surprise.
"What do you mean, why? This is my job."
"Nothing he tells you to do is your job," he hissed and Y/N rolled her eyes.
"You know what I mean."
"I know, but it's not you who has to do this. It's dangerous."
"Being a soldier is pretty dangerous itself," she retorted, but he was not having it.
"Not here. Not when I can keep an eye on you."
"Are you implying that I'm not good enough for this mission without your help?" She crossed her arms, suddenly riled up. "If it were someone else, you would be proud that they want to do it for the First Order!"
Her raising her voice was a surprise to him, one that flicked a switch in his head. It seemed that he still wasn't the best at expressing his feelings. Making her upset was the last thing he wanted, and he just then realised his harsh tone might have startled her, to say the least.
"Y/N," he said finally, having heaved a sigh to calm down. "Don't you understand I just don't want anything to happen to you? I do not care about this mission, I don't care about Ren... I only care about your safety."
This touched her more than one could describe. It was yet another moment when he did not say he loved her directly, but his intentions were as clear as day. For a short moment, she wondered if she will ever get to hear it from him.
"Nothing will happen to me," she said eventually, unsure if there was anything better to say. For some reason, she was not scared of this mission at all.
"Listen. You will call me the moment you land," he commanded. "And in case of any emergency, you call me and I'll be there immediately with our entire army, understood?"
"Understood, sir," she replied jokingly, brushing something off of his shoulder, and then her face fell suddenly. "Rather than my safety, there's something else I'm worried about..."
"What is it?" he asked immediately.
"If it's really this Dameron guy..." She gulped. "The easiest way to get what I want will be to seduce him. And my heart doesn't want to do that, but..."
She saw his face fall as well as he felt a sharp pain in his chest.
Jealousy. The emotion which sometimes was even more destructive than anger.
"It's just for the mission," she explained herself quickly after he had not replied.
This was too many emotions for Hux to handle. He had never found himself in such a situation before - there was no one he could be jealous of, no one he cared about enough to be filled with envy if they were with someone else... And he didn't expect she would want to actually try this way Ren suggested, even if he knew it might be the safest and, potentially, the most successful one.
But somewhere deep down, it hurt him, as if he wasn't broken enough.
He didn't know what to do, just like he didn't know what pushed him to say:
"Go back to your duties, Y/N."
He didn't quite meet her eyes when he said that, and that, paired with these words, shattered her.
"You're mad at me?" she asked and the distraught look on her face made him regret his words. But he had to be left alone before he could worsen the situation; he didn't want to hurt her any further with any impulsive remarks he might make.
"No, it's just... Ren will be looking for you and he'd better not find you here."
What a pathetic excuse, he thought to himself.
"But Armitage..." she began, trying to touch his arm, but he stepped back aburptly, not allowing her to do so. At that moment, she was heartbroken - she knew he hated Kylo, but he never denied her touch, not even when they were still technically strangers...
"Just go," he muttered, avoiding her gaze again.
The moment the door closed behind her, he wanted to scream and get her back at once. He hated himself for the way he handled the situation, but it was too late, especially with her leaving soon...
He left his office while breathing heavily, adjusting his gloves nervously at the same time. Whichever soldier Hux was going to lace into was not going to have a good day.
The thoughts about what he had said to her haunted him for the entire day. He was angry with himself and wanted to fix what he had broken before she would be gone... It was the first time he felt the need to apologise to someone.
He had a Stormtrooper escort her to his quarters in the evening, under the pretense of discussing her mission further. The moment she entered his office she saw a serious face, one that was on her mind for the whole day, too. A knot in her stomach tightened as she approached the desk and heard him command the Stormtrooper to leave in a harsh voice.
The moment the door closed behind him, Hux locked it and rose from his seat, his expression softening at once.
"I can't let you leave like this," he said quietly, and Y/N shivered from the sole delicateness of his words.
"Please say you're not mad at me," she whispered, swallowing hard so as not to cry. She hated the thought of him despising her, and also worried about potential discharge had the feelings changed...
"I can't bear it. If it's that important to you, I won't go, I'll tell Ky..."
"Y/N." He interrupted, then walked around the desk to stand right in front of her and grabbed her arms. He couldn't wait any longer, not when she sounded this heartbroken, not when she was about to leave so soon...
"If there's anyone I'm mad at, it's Ren," he began. "I'm proud of you. I want you to have a successful career here. It's just..." He heaved a sigh, trying to express his feelings properly this time. "I have never had anyone in my life I worried about. I... Don't even know how to handle this."
"I promise I'll be careful. And I promise that if
anything happens, I'll call you immediately," she began talking quickly, wishing to make sure they were alright as soon as possible.
"And I'll have a squadron at the ready to come for you," he promised, getting a sigh of relief from her.
"See? It will be alright." She smiled. "I'm not your favourite for nothing, am I?"
He raised an eyebrow, extremely glad they were back to teasing. "Who said you're my favourite?"
"Oh, right after Ren, then?"
He gave her a stern stare. "Y/L/N."
She giggled, then composed herself. "Let's talk this mission through... So there are no misunderstandings."
He nodded, so she sat on his desk as he let go of her shoulders and moved to stand in between her dangling legs.
"Kylo has given me a dress and some cosmetics... I wonder how I will feel like. It's been a while since I even touched a dress."
"And I won't even get to see it," Hux said grumpily, deciding in his mind that he will get a dress for her, too... One only he could see her in.
"Maybe you will..."
He sighed. "You know all the safety precautions, right?"
He knew the answer, but he would not forgive himself if he didn't ask.
"Of course. I was a perfect student," she replied, throwing her hands around his neck. "Otherwise you wouldn't have brought me to work with you, right?"
The moment she did that, he inched closer, his gaze falling onto her lips. He didn't want to think there was a slim chance that if he kissed her that night, it could be the last kiss they ever share...
"I would be more sure if you listed everything to me, Lieutenant," he said in his commanding voice, trying to forget about any worries. "And I will reward you accordingly."
She beamed at that.
"As you wish, General... So, first rule, you never draw unwanted attention..."
He leaned in and rewarded her with a kiss, one that was so full of emotion it left her breathless for a minute before she could utter the next rule:
"Second, you leave no trace..."
Another kiss. Shivers went down her spine; he was becoming more and more brave when it came to her.
"Third, you do not reveal your identity at any cost..."
He kissed her again and did not allow her to elaborate any further. The kisses were becoming feverish, hungry and, in a way, apologetic. Y/N responded with enthusiasm, bringing her body closer to him to feel his warmth. Neither of them wanted it to be a goodbye, but who knew? They had to seize the opportunity.
At that point, he didn't even need to ask. He grabbed her by the hips, prompting her to wrap his legs around him. He carried her to his bed and proceeded to undress her as delicately as one could, kissing almost every inch of her skin as he went.
The moment she was completely naked before him, he took a few seconds to adore her, then bent over so his face was right above hers.
"It's our last night here for a while. I will be on the Dreadnought when you come back..." he whispered right into her ead, nibbling on it in the process.
She smiled, already feeling the arousal building up in her as one of his hands roamed all over her naked body. "Then we might as well make it worth remembering."
That night, he didn't have sex with her - he made love to her, in a way he had never done before. Each and every moan, gasp, kiss was extremely intimate; his moves were slow, but deep when he thrusted into her. He wished he would find the courage to utter his true feelings, but all he could do was kiss her over and over again in the darkness of the quiet bedroom. He wanted to remember every curve of her body he studied with his fingertips, every sound she let escape her lips, the way she whispered his name when he brought her over the edge... It was like a confession of love, even if no words were spoken.
Even after they have both finished, they did not move and stayed as if glued to each other, naked body to naked body, bathing in the heat of the other person. No one would have believed the General Hux was capable of something like this, but when roughness is a constant in your life... Sometimes you crave delicateness.
Although she felt wonderful, Y/N knew that the silence they were in had to end at some point. She had to come back to her quarters that night...
"Armitage, please, remember..." She began suddenly, having placed a small kiss on his naked shoulder. "No matter what I do there, there's only one man I truly want. Although I am not going to sleep with him, no matter what Kylo says... My charms must suffice."
He still didn't like the sound of that, but after what they had just done, it seemed like they were more bonded than ever. So, even if there was pain inside him, he didn't intend to show it again.
"I don't know if they will. You're insufferable."
It didn't even annoy her when he said that - she just laughed.
"I'll miss you so much," she confessed, snuggling into his neck.
His heart almost dropped when she said it. It was definitely not the first time she expressed her feelings towards him, yet at that moment, it seemed so much stronger. Of course he would miss her, too.
"Come back quickly to me."
That was the words that were replaying in her head over and over while she was on her way to Canto Bight, reading the files of her fake identity and her potential targets for the thousandth time. She knew she could not mess it up; Kylo made himself more than clear right before she boarded her ship that it was the most important thing she could be taking care of. Hux didn't come to see her off; just for safety, that's why
she was left with what he'd said to her in the bedroom.
While she was doing her make-up on the ship, she really wished he would see her in it. It's been a while since she could pull out all the stops when it came to beautifying herself - soldiers weren't really allowed a full glam, and she wanted to look beautiful for the man she had fallen for.
To her surprise, it was quite easy to play a snooty, rich lady from the moment she landed. When she got to the room the First Order had arranged for her - a lavish suite, just like everything in that place was - she made sure it was secure, then sent a message about her safe arrival straight to Hux as she promised. The same message also went to Kylo, since he was probably going nuts somewhere in his quarters.
Y/N gave all of her information one last glance, then began preparing herself for the evening further. After styling her hair to make it quite slick, it was time to dress up... And it was the moment she started getting nervous. The realness of her mission got to her, and the realisation that if something goes wrong, it might not end up well for her. A sigh escaped her lips as she tried not to think about all of this, especially about her previous meeting with Armitage possibly being the last.
The dress she took out of a box Kylo had given her was even more spectacular. It was black, but shiny with long sleeves, but the neckline was outrageous - it was long and wide, exposing one side of each of her breasts. When she put the dress on, she noticed it reached the floor and hugged her body quite tightly. It screamed Canto Bight, but it was a good thing. At least she wasn't going to stick out like a sore thumb in the luxurious interior of the casino she was going to.
When she was ready, she opened her datapad and revised the vital information one last time. It wasn't like she could bring it with herself and compare the pictures to the people she would meet. Or maybe she could bring it, but if anybody saw any suspicious behaviour... It was like a school test. She could try cheating, but if she got caught, she could pay for it with her life.
She tried to stay as calm as possible, well aware that any nerves may blow her cover. Before leaving, she looked at herself in the mirror for a last-minute check and smoothed down her dress. She almost didn't recognise herself. Mission-wise, it was a good thing, but she regretted that Hux could not see this. She couldn't remember the last time she felt this beautiful, and wondered what he would think about it.
However, it was not time to daydream about her forbidden lover the moment of truth was near. The Resistance's representative could be in the casino any minute.
Y/N entered the casino with only a concealed communicator - should the need to contact the First Order arise - and a knot in her stomach. On one hand, she knew she blended in perfectly and could mingle all she wanted, but on the other, there was this unsettling feeling that everyone somehow knew she was a spy.
She closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath, remembering the rules - thus, a big smile appeared on her face as the memories of Hux rewarding her for knowing them came back.
It had been almost two long hours in the casino and almost nothing happened. Y/N was constantly looking around, but there was no one suspicious, and no one seemed to suspect her, either... Everyone was simply having fun, and she began losing all the hope.
She was pretending to watch one of the casino games, drink in her hand, in the middle of a meaningless conversation with one of the other guests when she saw him.
There he was. In one of the booths, alone. She could only see his profile, but she was sure it was him. Poe Dameron, in a white suit, apparently playing a game just like she was...
Jackpot.
She excused herself from the conversation with the stranger and immediately approached the booth. It was now or never, and she had to put on her best performance, even if it hurt a little.
Forgive me, Armitage.
"Hi there," she said to catch his attention, and he immediately looked up from the drink he had on a golden table in front of himself. She could see just by his initial expression that he liked what he saw.
"Oh, hello," he said, surprised but smiling at the sight of her.
"Mind if I join you?" she asked, jerking her head towards the unoccupied space of the booth.
"Not at all." He sat up straight as she gave him another smile and took a seat opposite him.
So far, so good.
"I'm sorry for my boldness, I just... I don't think I've ever seen you around here, so you've caught me eye. Not that it's a bad thing."
"Oh, have I?" He asked with a little bit of pride. "Well, it's true I'm not a regular, but... I wouldn't mind becoming one." He looked her up and down, giving her enough confidence to stick out her hand to him.
"My name is Inda."
"I'm P... Peter," he hesitated, then shook her hand. "Nice to meet you."
Amateurs, she thought. Didn't he even have a fake name at the ready? She knew he made it up on the spot.
"Nice to meet you, too, Peter."
They both grabbed their drinks and, after clinking their glasses together, drank a little.
"So, Inda..." Poe began, setting his glass back on the table. "What is a girl like you doing here tonight? Alone?"
Oh, boy, he didn't even know what fairytales he was about to hear.
"Feeling bored, mostly." She sighed. "My father makes me come here. He hopes I'd find a suitable match for a daughter of an aircraft engineer... But most guys here are both ugly and egoistic."
"Wait, did you say an aircraft engineer?"
She got him. She knew this would make him let his guard down.
"Yes? Why?"
"Because I'm a pilot," he said, clearly in disbelief the stars had aligned like this.
"Are you?" she replied as if she had no idea about it. "I would love to hear more about that."
And so she listened carefully to everything he was telling her, hoping to catch any glimpse of useful information for herself. But he was mostly blabbering on the passion he had for flying, and it would be very interesting to hear were the circumstances a bit different. She discovered that, no matter how charismatic and handsome Dameron actually was, she much more preferred Hux's roughness she could uncover step by stop.
They were talking for no more than a quarter when Dameron suddenly began looking around, and his eyes finally fell onto someone somewhere behind her. He lost his flirty expression and seemed alerted, prompting her to focus, too.
"You know... As much as I enjoy this conversation, I have a job to do."
"No way. The first interesting man I've met here and he has to cut it short..."
She could tell he liked that compliment, but stood up anyways.
"It was wonderful meeting you and I do hope we meet again," he said as she stood up, too.
You don't.
"Can I at least see you off?" she asked hopefully,  but he immediately shook his head.
"I'm afraid not. Business calls."
"Well then... Goodbye, Peter. I hope you do come by again."
"Me too."
The moment he left her, she knew the most crucial part of the mission was only starting. She didn't get any information directly from him other than the confirmation he was the man she had been looking for... But now she had to follow him, unnoticed and, most importantly, get that bit of information she needed. She was sure that was where he was going.
Keeping her distance and hiding in between the casino guests, she followed him outside, where she suspected he'd go. There, she hid behind a pillar as he talked with someone she could not see, but it didn't matter as long as she could hear them. That was the most important moment, and she was so stressed yet so drunk on adrenaline...
"He'll be waiting for you on Jakku."
She heard that sentence and hoped it was exactly what she took it for, especially since she didn't know the context.
"Not my top choice of destination, but it's for a good cause," Dameron replied. "Thank you. The Resistance will reward you for this."
"They'd better," answered the man he was talking to. "If they knew I was here... I'd be a dead man."
After that, she heard an electronical chirp of what she assumed must have been a droid; she could not risk trying to take a peek. Her heart was beating so fast it might have jumped our of her chest.
"Yes, BB-8, we are going right now," Dameron said. "That is, as soon as I'm out of this suit. Thank you once again."
After that, she heard his footsteps, but nothing else mattered anymore. She got what she wanted, so it was time to run.
The moment she locked herself back in her room, she called Kylo at once, and he responded immediately.
"I got the location. They are about to retrieve the map from someone on Jakku. They're sending Dameron to do it, any minute now," she breathed out to the small holo projection of Kylo's full body.
"Jakku..." Kylo hissed, nodding to himself. "I'll go there personally, then. And..." He stopped for a moment to take her in. "Didn't expect you to look this good."
She raised her eyebrows. It was a surprise, but definitely not an unwelcome one.
"Why, thank you."
"I'm sending a ship back for you. Do you think you can get out of there unnoticed?"
She shrugged. "If they land unnoticed."
Kylo thought about it for a moment, then shook his head.
"I'll come for you personally, then. I can't allow this mission to fail. We'll stage your arrest if we have to."
"I have to call Hux now," she added in a rush, wishing to talk to her lover as soon as possible to let him know they had a success... And that she was safe and sound.
"So you called me first? As you should. Talk to him then," Kylo said, already too focused on his next steps. "I'm flying out for you and we're heading straight to Jakku."
Kylo's holo disappeared, prompting Y/N to flick some buttons and call Hux. He responded even faster than Kylo did, if that was possible. He was in his quarters on the Dreadnought, waiting for any news from her, stressed more than ever. He didn't even know he had the ability to worry about someone this much.
"I'm calling to report, General," she said, trying everything in her might not to smile since she had no idea if he was alone.
"Drop it," he replied, taking her in. The holo in his quarters was also showing her entire body, and even in his imagination he did not expect her to look this breathtaking. He really needed to gift her a dress.
"I have the information. They are sending Dameron to get the map from Jakku. I have just told Kylo."
He sighed with relief, then cleared his throat. It was hard to focus on what she was saying when she looked like this.
"Well then, I suppose I should send a squad there," he said eventually, but she shook her head.
"Kylo's coming for me and we're flying to Jakku."
Hux's expression turned furious, to say the least, and he could feel the anger filling him up.
"He's coming for you personally?" he asked in a tone that made Y/N almost feel the anger through the holo.
"That's what he'd just told me," she explained, making him clench his jaw.
"That son of a..."
"Calm down, Armitage," she cut him off. "I'm just doing my job."
"And you're meeting him..." He took a closer look again, warmth filling him up. "Dressed like this?"
Y/N glanced at her body as though she was seeing it for the first time, then smiled mischievously.
"Oh, right... I have to change before he comes... Should I do it right now?"
Hux did not reply, but he did stare at her in a way that made her know what he wanted. She turned her back to him in order to show him the zipper of the dress.
"I wish I had someone who would help me unzip this..." she said teasingly as she grabbed it to pull it down slowly.
"If I were there, I'd rip this dress off of you before you could gasp."
She got goosebumps after these words. She could practically sense the touch of his hands on her body, even if he was far away. She knew that was exactly what he would do.
She unzipped the dress all the way down, then stepped out of it slowly before turning to face him again. She was now just in her panties, still smiling.
"Better?" she asked quietly, the desire thickening the atmosphere even through the call. They could have some fun with it, if only they weren't scraped for time...
Hux watched the blueish silhouette he adored so much for a moment, then shook his head to snap out if it. It was risky, way too risky...
"Dress up before he comes," he commanded and she just chuckled.
"Don't worry, Kylo won't get any of it." She said as she opened a case with her spare clothes. "No one else will."
Even Hux could not stop himself from smiling at that. He watched her put on a strapless bra as she checked her datapad - Kylo had just sent her the tracking of his ship to it.
"He is almost here. I have to run."
"Do not die, then."
She laughed again. "Not in my plans."
"And come back to me quickly. It's an order."
"Yes, sir."
He wanted to tell her something else, but words failed him. The things he wished he found the ability to confess to her were to be said personally, not through a mere holo. That's why he only watched her pull on a black shirt in silence, unwilling to disconnect too quickly.
"You still there?" she asked, having caught him staring.
He rolled his eyes. "Insufferable."
"You love it."
"Good luck, Lieutenant," he said eventually and then disconnected reluctantly, only to allow himself a big, sincere smiled after she disappeared.
He had to get out of his quarters and give orders... They were about to have a breakthrough.
Before Y/N knew it, two Stormtroopers were escorting her to Kylo's ship. No one in Canto Bight tried to save her, even if it did look like she was getting kidnapped by the First Order.
The moment she entered, Ren, with his mask and hood on, instructed her to sit next to him. They departed almost immediately.
"You did all of this faster than I expected. I'm impressed," he told her with genuine
She smirked as if she had not been absolutely terrified that this mission might fail, adjusting the black jacket she had thrown over herself. "Told you you didn't appreciate me enough, Kylo."
She could see he was intrigued even with the mask on, watching her face closely.
Men are so easy to please...
"You should wear all of this more."
She snorted. "Not really the soldier dresscode, is it?"
"I don't think Hux would be against it."
Y/N felt a lump in her throat. Was this just an observation, since the General was just a man, too, or was Kylo suggesting something? She really hoped it the latter wasn't the case. She decided that confidence would be the best reaction.
"Well, yeah, he liked my look as well when I called him," she said proudly. "Maybe you two should discuss that with each other. How it's like seeing a woman. Once in a lifetime thing."
"You're awfully confident for someone who knows what I can do."
"So? Aren't you glad I'm not a whining girlie who is afraid to speak?"
Even Ren could not argue with this. To her surprise, he reached out with his gloved hand and took her face in it, studying it. It sent a shiver of utter shock through her entire body: he had never done something like that before, and she didn't even know he was capable of it. She didn't know whether it was the Force or anything else, but surely something was flowing through her body after this. If Hux had seen it, he would have probably obliterated Ren.
"I am," he replied, then took his hand back as if nothing happened.
Y/N tried to keep her cool. "So don't complain."
"Sir, we'll be landing in five minutes," came the voice of the pilot, so Kylo turned to Y/N again.
"Are you coming with me?"
"Do you want me to?" She raised an eyebrow. "I don't have my uniform nor my weapon."
"You don't need any of that if you're coming with me," he replied in an obvious tone. "You'll go with me. I'll show you how it's done."
Of course, she thought. Of course he wanted her to come along to show off. But she did know she could feel safe if she had him on her side. All in all, it was better to be friends rather than enemies with Kylo Ren.
"If that's what you want."
Not much later, the ship touched down on Jakku. Y/N exited it at Kylo's side, accompanied by Stormtroopers. He was right - although she had no weapon, she felt weirdly safe, even if chaos was raging around them. There were tens of Stormtroopers shooting everywhere in the small, sand village, the villagers were screaming, fire was devouring tents and buildings... The view did scare her a little; sitting behind a console all day, she sometimes forgot how the real war looked like, and that it was more than some buttons and screens.
Everything seemed to have frozen after Kylo's arrival. He confidently walked up to an older man not far from the ship; Y/N had no idea who that was, but followed suit and stood a bit behind Ren as he talked to the man he apparently knew.
"Look how old you've become."
"Something far worse has happened to you," the man replied.
"You know what I've come for."
"I know where you come from. Before you called yourself Kylo Ren."
This gave Y/N the answer - he knew him long ago.
"The map to Skywalker. We know you found it. And now you're going to give it to the First Order."
"The First Order rose from the dark side. You did not."
Y/N knew this would rile Kylo up. He approached the man, definitely seething with anger but still trying to talk.
"I'll show you the dark side."
"You may try," the man responded, determined. "But you cannot deny the truth that is your family."
She knew that the man had already got himself a sentence with these words. She could almost sense something switch inside Kylo right before he said:
"You're so right."
He ignited his lightsaber and struck him down immediately. Right after that came a blue blaster bolt from a weapon, one that could easily reach Y/N... Were it not for Kylo's quick reaction, who froze both the bolt and the man who shot it.
Her mouth fell agape as she saw who it was.
Dameron.
Stormtroopers brought him before Kylo, then knocked him to the ground, although it did not seem to have much effect on him.
"You!" Dameron exclaimed at the sight of her, much to Kylo's amusement.
That moment did mess with her a little. She felt a bit too drunk on the power she had at the time, and put a hand on Kylo's shoulder as if to express it. Ren didn't stop her, he just smiled underneath his mask; he was proud of her.
"Nothing personal, Dameron." She laughed. "I quite like you. It's just... Were the circumstances a bit different..."
"You lying b..." he began, but one wave of Kylo's hand shut him up. He crouched to talk to him, forcing Y/N to take her hand back.
"The old man gave it to you."
"It's very hard to understand you with all the..."
"Search him," Kylo commanded.
"...Apparatus," Dameron finished, prompting Y/N to stifle a chuckle. He was right about that.
"Nothing, sir," the Stormtrooper said, having obeyed the command.
"Put him on board," Kylo decided, and so they obeyed again. Y/N was just about to open her mouth to speak when Captain Phasma approached them.
"Sir, the villagers?" she asked Kylo.
"Kill them all," he replied without hesitation, making Y/N gasp slightly. She knew Kylo was like this, yet it was still somehow shocking to see it with her own eyes.
"You're sure that's a good decision?" she asked, watching Phasma command the Stormtroopers to fire.
"You're questioning it? They were hiding him," Kylo said as if it was the only reasonable decision. "Come. Hux is surely awaiting the return of the soldier I had stolen from him, as he told me repeatedly after you left."
This did cause a small smile on her face. The fact that Hux fought for her even when she was not around mad her stomach flutter. Kylo began walking back towards the ship, but he stopped suddenly, focusing on one of the Stormtroopers... And then resumed walking as if nothing happened.
"You know what you and Hux have in common?" she asked as they were entering the ship again.
"Nothing, hopefully."
"You keep on talking about the other. Maybe you
two just should talk more with each other instead of talking to me about the other, hm?" she teased, knowing it would drive him mad just like it did with Hux. In that way, they were quite similar.
"You're on thin ice," Kylo grunted, but she just laughed again.
"He says that too."
Not much later, Y/N found herself back in the safe and sound bridge of the Dreadnought. She walked in with Kylo to see Hux pacing back and forth, until he saw the two of them and approached them instantly.
"Finally. What took so long?"
Maker, was he glad to see her. He didn't even care Ren was at her side - the only thing that mattered was that she was safe and triumphant. She even still had her make-up on... And looked absolutely stunning to him.
"You should be grateful, General. We have a prisoner that has the information about the map," Kylo said, jerking his head towards the two Stormtroopers that were holding Dameron between them. Hux raised parted his lips in slight disbelief when he saw them.
"Sir, what do we do with him?" one of the Stormtroopers asked.
"Question him. And do not stop until he breaks," Kylo commanded, so they took Dameron out of the room, allowing Ren to turn back to Hux. "Now, you have your favourite back, General. She succeeded in everything, so you can stop complaining."
At that moment, Hux's happiness about seeing her was stronger than hatred for Ren. He looked at her and she gave him the smallest smile. They could see in the each other's eyes how much they wanted they threw themselves on the other.
"Well then. Good job, Lieutenant," Hux said diplomatically, keeping his hands behind his back so as to stay professional.
"Thank you, sir." She bowed her head, hiding her smile.
"You will go with me to my office and report on everything."
She tried to contain her excitement before replying. "Of course."
"I'll make sure our prisoner is treated well," Kylo said, then quickly walked out.
"Follow me, Lieutenant," Hux said to Y/N and she almost jogged after him. Now that Kylo was out of sight, she almost couldn't conceal her happiness.
Entering his Dreadnought quarters again provided indescribable feelings; it was there where everything started, after all. He went inside right after her and locked the door, then turned to face her, his arms wide open.
"Armitage," she breathed out with relief as she threw herself into his arms to hug him with all her might. He hugged her back with just as much if not more enthusiasm, elated that she was back there. Finally.
"You can't imagine how much I wanted to do this." She snuggled into his neck, pecking it. "It's been just twelve hours, but so much happened..."
"Do you want to rest?"
"Well, I wouldn't mind."
"Come, then." He grabbed her hand and began leading her to his living room. He gestured for her to sit on a small, black pouf, then settled himself behind her to take her jacket off. To her pleasant surprise, he threw it to the side and got his hands on her to massage her. He didn't think about it, it just seemed like a natural thing to do, to make her feel better...
"Did everything go as smoothly as Ren says?" he asked as he began to squeeze her shoulders, taking her to paradise in a matter of seconds.
"Yes. He was really pleased." She nodded, giving into his touch without hesitation. "Dameron was easy to deceive... But I couldn't stop thinking about you."
This reminded Hux of his jealousy, and what he was worried about even before she left...
"Did... Did you..." he began, then cursed himself for being unable of constructing a coherent sentence.
"Nothing happened. I didn't even touch him," she replied as if reading his thoughts. Hux smiled to himself, then kissed her neck.
"I missed you," he admitted in a whisper against her skin, yet again effortlessly giving her goosebumps. "You have that ability of making me want to see you all the time... Must be awfully convenient for you, Lieutenant."
She grinned to herself, knowing he was teasing her. "And that is an offense, I presume?"
"And don't you know the rules? Tsk..." He shook his head in disapproval.
"Oh, General, I thought you were going to reward me for my success."
"And what am I doing right now?" He squeezed her shoulders even more, causing her to let out a sigh. "You looked stunning," he added in another whisper that made her heart race.
"I wish I could dress up like this for you one day."
And there she was again, softening him like no one else could.
"I'll make sure to arrange that," he replied and, in his head, was determined to do it. "We can't be here long... I have much work to do now because of Ren's ideas."
"Armitage, don't worry, I understand," she turned to see his face, "I will jump back to my duties, too."
"You can rest today. You earned it."
"You're being pretty generous to me."
"You tell me why," he replied, prompting her to grab his face quickly and kiss him with all the passion she could muster. He responded with just as much eagerness; stars, he was so infatuated.
They were both breathless when they parted, excitement whirling everywhere.
"I'd better not rest today, Kylo will surely want something from me... So should I wipe my make-up off before putting on my uniform back again?"
"Let's say you can leave it on for today. And for tonight, for that matter."
She rubbed her hands. "Oh, and what happens tonight?" she asked as if she had no idea what he was talking about.
"You'll find out."
Around two hours later, Y/N was back at her console, in her uniform, and Malia was trying to ask all about her mission. She wanted to tell her, but it wasn't long before someone came to the bridge and told Hux that Dameron was not telling anything despite different methods they had tried on him. The General saw it as an opportunity...
"Lieutenant, why don't you question him?" He turned to Y/N. "After all, we got him thanks to you."
"Of course, General. Right away." She stood up.
"I will go with you," he added, making her take a deep breath. She wondered whether he wanted to help her or watch her in action - either way, she couldn't wait.
"Missed me, Dameron?" she asked confidently a few minutes later when she entered the questioning room with Hux behind her. Dameron was cuffed to a chair and had blood and bruises on his face, yet he still had enough will to glare daggers at her.
"Are you content with yourself?" he spat as she approached him. Hux was watching everything from next to the door, eager to see her in action.
"Listen, you're not bad." She sighed, crossing her arms on her chest. "It's just that we're on different sides of this conflict and I have a different man I want to be with."
The General shot her a warning glance, wondering what the hell she was doing, but she just shook her head. It's not like Dameron was any threat to them. Either way, Hux's heart began pounding faster, since it was the first time she had ever spoken about him to anyone else like this, even if indirectly.
"Now, I would love to speak with you about the map..." she continued as Dameron didn't reply. "My friends beat you up a little, sorry about that... But it would be easier if you just told us what you know."
She leaned in, making Hux wince slightly, but he composed himself in seconds.
"Want to tell me anything about the map?" she asked in a whisper.
"The only thing I want is to spit on you."
"Save that for your friends." She took a careful step back. "You were much nicer just hours ago... Should I just dress up again?"
He didn't speak at all and kept on glaring at her, so she shook her head again.
"See, General?" She turned her head towards Hux, giggling. "I told you men only go for the looks," she added jokingly, but after wearing that dress and getting the reactions she did, she was almost sure of it.
"Cut it, Lieutenant," he replied, pretending to be as serious as he'd normally be.
Y/N glanced at Dameron one last time. She could see, just by his eyes, that he wasn't going to tell her a thing. She must have been his most hated person on the ship.
"I think it's useless to waste our time here. Should I bring Kylo Ren in here, sir?" She turned to Hux again, and he nodded.
"That would be for the best."
Soon it was Kylo taking care of Dameron and getting information out of him by using the Force while Hux and Y/N were waiting in front of the door. The General decided he wanted to try something risky, just for the sake of it... And, making sure the nearest Stormtrooper couldn't hear him, he leaned in to whisper into Y/N's ear:
"It was one of the hottest things I've seen you do."
She gulped, her knees weakening right then and there. Maker, it aroused her so much she would not mind being taken right then and there, on everyone's eyes.
"Thank you, General."

No Future?
FO!Poe x Rebel!Reader
Content : enemy to less enemy, quick mention of sexual content (not explicit), only one bed trope and it's cold trope (?), angst.
Summary: Reader and Poe got stranded on an unknown planet and have been forced to cohabitate for several months and wait for a rescue team to help them out.
Tumblr media
The cold attempting in vain to bite your skin refused to weaken and your own stubborness started to falter. After over a month spent at hiding in a lone First Order tent in the middle of a perpetual blizzard on this remote planet, you realized how much the microcosm constituting your present life had changed.
“I've known opinionated rebels but you still deserve to be considered as their queen. Congratulations.”
Poe himself wasn't the same anymore and despite his dark uniform that got affected by the frozen bitterness from the outside world a while ago, he could have passed for a tired – and tiresome – Resistance fighter that stranded with his co-pilot. But no, he remained the First Order guy that crashed down just as pathetically as you did. And whether he liked it or not, he didn't have the qualifications to keep on taunting you.
“At least I'm not the one on the verge of losing my hands with some stupid plan.” You spat at him as you watched the man digging on the hard and cold ground in a tent corner.
Over a month in his company in such a tight space could have driven you crazy much sooner. The only thing that managed to keep you sane enough to protect your survival instinct was the surprisingly good entente between the both of you. The dozen of blankets of different sizes you managed to bring back from hasted expeditions conducted in the nearby ghost town also helped a lot, even when it meant you had to cuddle with a sworn enemy every night.
“Here you go, another stupid plan of mine,” he grunted, “tell me when I get clever for a change.”
“I'm only human, I have to talk. I can't keep silent forever.”
“And then you complain whenever I say anything and yet you say something as blank and obvious as the mere fact that you are human.”
Discussions formed a seemingly eternal circle in such an uninteresting environment. The morning would start smoothly in a sleepy and warm atmosphere as you had all the time in the world to wake up properly. Then you would eat some animal hunted the day before and protected by a layer of snow right by the tent entrance as you complimented each other's cooking skills. Then you would complain about each other's cooking skills and how awful those kind of moles would taste like anyway. Then arguments would last for several hours as you tried to figure out a plan.
At last you would fall asleep both on your side of the island of blanket filling a good part of the tent before gathering at the same spot to share some warmth. That, every day without an exception for over a month.
At some point you started to pray a god you didn't even believed in to get a loophole even if that meant your new companion's death. After all he was a First Order pilot that killed countless of your pilots.
“Just shut up for five minutes, or even for the rest of the day,” you replied sourly.
“Then move your ass from there and come help me!”
“There is nothing to reach down there!”
This predicament was certainly starting to affect his sanity as well. For a few days he has had that weird obsession of using an old broken shovel to dig a hole big enough to create some tunnel. He never really explained anything but it seemed to be a matter of expending the living space in this recluded shelter.
“Do you have any idea of the amount of energy you are spending to get that done,” you asked with a sigh, “we are running out of meat and they're getting rarer outside, and you barely progressed.”
“Bad faith.”
Swallowing back the venimous insults that threatened to leave your mouth, you lied back into the blanket as you watched him digging desperately. After two weeks he barely managed to take off enough dirt for the ground to come up to his knee level. Poe's hygiene declined quickly between the sweat and dirt and lack of access to a shower, and fortunately you were starting to get accustomed to that part of him – not that you believed yourself to be in a better condition yourself and maybe he deserved some merit for his tolerance.
Instead of arguing any further, you did shut your mouth but his grunts and muffled swearings were getting seriously on your nerves. Sir Dameron woke up in a bad mood and got obsessed and frustrated even more than usual about his tasks.
“Going outside.”
The metal sound stopped as he watched you put some thick clothes above your own rebel pilot outfit. Two pairs of gloves, three pairs of sockets, a damaged woolen hat and some protective old school pilot glasses on and you were outside, crawling to the area preserved from the blizzard thanks to your two partially disassembled that took the shape of a wall surrounding the southern side exposed to the hostile elements. The noises it created worried you to no end during the first week, but despite the windy scream and the metal parts creaking and trembling you now felt relieved. Finally. Poe shut up.
It created some narrow court behind the grey tent. Cold, sterile if not for the tiny grass growing here and there under the thich layer of snow, but comforting. You gathered some to put it down all over the thent edges so the breeze couldn't infiltrate the gaps. Here you were getting too hot with your clothes but you had no will to go back inside.
You didn't hate Poe. It was quite the opposite actually but living the same thing without anything new to say didn't permit you to enjoy his personality at its full potential. Such a warm soul was surprising for a famous First Order soldier and it hurt. He would be the kind of guy drinking some strong alcohol with his friends while making fun of your brothers and sisters killed in combat befire falling asleep like a drunk baby with a stupid smile on his handsome face, maybe with a gorgeous woman by his side that found him amazing for being himself.
You couldn't believe it. Poe followed you and was now crawling against the ground to get out of the tent in his pants and shirt, his dark hair still wet with perspiration.
“Kriff,” you exclaimed with your arms crossed, “go dig your hole if that's so important to you but stop harassing me!”
“Please help I'm freezing.”
You did as asked because he remained polite, your teeth clenched as you got him back onto his feet. The poor bastard seemed to have been boiling inside and some steam spiraled up from his skin as he grimaced at the temperature difference, his hair covered in melting snow.
“Don't tell me I need to tell you to go back inside to cover yourself,” you growled.
“I saw you were consolidating that stuff so I wanted to help.”
“I don't need help to add snow. I just have to bend over and pick it up. Go back inside you're going to freeze.”
“No. I like quiet places,” he argued.
“Enjoy it then.”
You gave up and walked past the few chaotic layers of metal surrounding the tent and finally you reached your favorite place on this planet. The blizzard died down just enough so the violent twirling winds couldn't blind you completely, and the nigtmarish landscape beneath your eyes deployed its full beauty for you only. Around 9 miles high, the gigantic blueish and whitish cliffs dominated the desolated scenery where nothing could survive apart some resilient and almost unknown viruses you wished to never get infected by. Poe and you got lucky to crash so high and in a concentred spot, at around 8 miles high. Down there you would have died in less than ten minutes. You could distinguish some grass patches under the thick fog. You had no idea of where you were exactly. Gigantic frozen cliffs surrounded that place and the eerie atmosphere now started to freak you out. Maybe Poe wasn't such a bad company. You mourned your rescue a few days ago. No one could get onto that planet safely, and no one could get off of it, especially with no ship.
“Booh.”
The pair of arms snaking around your waist made your heart drop almost at the bottom of the cliff but at least got you rid off your anxiety rising at the view before your eyes. Poe put his own polar clothes on and held tight at you as he talked next to your ear.
“Come back inside, the radar warned of a...”
The sudden silence knocked the air out of your lungs and you followed Poe without complaining. Usually whenever a blizzard died down it was the sign of a bigger one coming, so intense that nature itself had to breathe in shortly to concentrate all its strength on this cursed planet. Breaks only lasted for a couple of minutes.
After a quick run you got to crawl next to each other to get some moles burried deep down, then gather snow to seal the tent entrance completely.
“Here you go, now that's better.” Poe sighed in relief as he lied down on the blankets with his clothes soaked with melting snow. “Now we only have to wait for it to end. Nothing like warm blankets and dubious squishy meat here.”
“It's going to be hard for a few days, there's not much.”
“Not that kind of squishy meat but no problem if you want some.”
It was part of your life now, to laugh at that silly joke while knowing that yes, you were going to have all the time in the world to warm up with him again. You were condemned on that cliff and didn't know how long that would last.
No one told you how long or short forever could be, especially without any hope for a brighter future.

——————
Commander Poe Dameron is, quite literally, the bane of your existence.
Sure, he’s a great pilot and, okay fine, he’s not a terrible leader but, damn it if the bastard doesn’t drive you absolutely crazy with his needlessly risky plans. You’re not sure if he has a death wish or if he’s just an adrenaline junky, but what you do know is that if the storm troopers chasing you don’t kill him, you just might.
You run down the narrow hallway of the First Order compound you’ve infiltrated, Dameron in tow, desperately searching for an escape. You spot a door, thank the Maker when it’s unlocked, and pull Dameron inside with you by the lapels of his jacket, glaring at him when he opens his mouth to complain.
“Shut up,” you whisper harshly, pushing him against the back of the door.
He watches you in the dim light for a moment, lips parted, breath leaving him in pants. Your eyes drop to his mouth, lingering longer than you’d like, and you wonder briefly if they’re as soft as they look, how they’d feel against yours, how they’d taste—
Okay fine, so you’re a little attracted to him. That didn’t mean he didn’t still infuriate the hell out of you.
The thundering of boots crescendos outside the door, (blessedly) breaking you from your staring contest with his mouth. Still pressed against Poe, you swallow thickly, your face warm as you forcibly avert your gaze. Your eyes land on his neck, and you have to ignore the sudden urge you feel to lick the bead of sweat running slowly down the side of it.
You’re both still as the troopers pass, as if making even the tiniest movement might alert them to your presence. Poe is still breathing a little heavy, the air puffing against your cheek just another reminder of his closeness. You try to ignore it, ignore him, ignore how good his body feels against yours, how amazing he smells. In an effort to stave off the sudden urge you have to bury your face in his neck and breathe deep, you think of literally anything else: your bunkmate’s dirty socks, General Leia screaming at you, taking a blaster bolt to the shoulder—
The sound of the troopers fades slowly and you breathe a quiet sigh of relief, backing up as much as you can in the small space.
“That was a close one, huh?” Poe mutters, looking at you warily, as if you might attack him at any given moment.
Your anger at him rekindles in your chest at the comment and you can’t stop yourself from punching him in the shoulder. He grunts, glaring at you half-heartedly as he rubs the spot where you hit him.
“No, Dameron, that was stupid. Completely and utterly stupid,” you quietly scold, pointing at him in accusation.
He scoffs, almost rolling his eyes and it sends another flare of anger through you.
“Oh, you don’t think so?” you counter, stepping closer to him. “You think your little stunt helped us?”
He glares at you, leaning back against the door with an annoyed look on his face. “We got what we came for, didn’t we?”
“Yes, and we’d be out of here and on the ship right now if you’d just followed the plan.”
“You mean followed your plan,” he mumbles almost petulantly.
“Is that what this is about?” you ask, chuckling humorlessly as you take another step closer. “Still sore that the General went with my plan instead of yours, flyboy?”
His jaw tightens and he moves even closer, his voice so low it’s almost a growl. “Your plan is the reason I even had to pull that ‘stunt’ in the first place, sweetheart.”
It’s your turn to scoff now, rage flaring in your eyes as you move so close to him his chest brushes against yours. You ignore how incredible he smells, even after all the running you’ve done, ignore how good he looks this close—
“You are unbelievable, do you know that? Absolutely unbelievable.”
Poe opens his mouth to retort, a mischievous look in his eyes, but you cut him off by continuing, your voice a harsh whisper. “You’re reckless, hot-headed, impulsive—”
His finger on your lips stops you, your eyes widening in both shock and rage.
Unfortunately, you’re silent long enough for him to ask, “How mad would you be if I kissed you right now?”
Your brow furrowing in confusion, lips parting as much as they can with his finger still pressed against them. Instinctively, your gaze falls to his mouth, eyes dragging over his plump bottom lip as your brain reminds you of all the times you’ve fantasized about a moment just like this one. You watch as the corner of his mouth quirks slightly in a smile and know you’ve somehow given him all the permission he needs.
He leans in, spanning the meager distance between you as he pulls his hand away, tentatively pressing his lips to yours. He’s giving you a chance to push him away, you realize, to decide you don’t want this but…You do.
You melt into him, pressing your body against his and pushing him back against the door. He groans softly, the sound going straight to your core and you wonder what else you could do to pull sounds like that from him.
You hope he gives you a chance to find out.
His hands cup your cheeks, holding you in place as he presses his tongue against the seam of your lips. You part them without resistance, shivering when he licks inside. The taste of him is divine, a mix of sweetness and spice and something so inherently Poe. You could spend hours, maybe even days, like this, just kissing him, enjoying the taste of him, the feel of him. Already you can’t get enough, can feel your need for him clawing at the base of your spine as your fingers plunge into his soft, dark locks.
You’re forced to break for air, foreheads pressed together as you both try to catch your breath.
“This isn’t over, you know,” you pant, pulling back to shoot him what you hope is a stern look.
He chuckles breathlessly, reaching out to trace the curve of your cheek with his knuckles, his lips quirking slightly when you unconsciously lean into the touch.
“I’d be disappointed if it was, sweetheart.”

________________________________
You shift in your small bed, trying to find a position that is vaguely comfortable. Though it seems more likely that the First Order will just give up and surrender tomorrow, with the way Poe is taking up all the space possible.
You shove him a little and grumble, too tired to be polite about it. It wasn’t even his bed anyway, or his room. And it was his own fault for getting so drunk on cheap Rorian rum.
One of the most exciting things about The Resistance using this moon as a new base was the preexisting structures that included personal rooms. Even though they were small, and you didn’t really mind sharing with others, it was nice to have your own space. Was nice.
Emphasis on the was.
Poe had basically collapsed in your room, far too out of it to make it back to his own after the celebration night at the cantina. You had kindly given up half of your tiny bed, the act of altruism aided by your soft spot for the pilot. (More than a soft spot if you were being honest.)
But that was hours ago, when you were more awake and the unspoken deal had been for half of your space. Not the current 95% Poe was laying all over.
You shove him again, wriggling quickly to take up the free area you managed to push him out of so you could lay comfortably.
Poe let’s out a soft moan of confusion, but doesn’t open his eyes.
You settle, satisfied with your well earned extra room. But it’s less than a minute before he’s shifting closer again, trying to encroach on your side.
That’s it.
“Poe.” You say harshly, pushing back on him.
You expect him to wake up groggily, or at least turn over onto his other side facing away from you.
Instead he mumbles something intelligible and flops his arm over your stomach and snuggles close. He presses his face to your neck, his soft breath hitting your skin.
Heat rises to your face. This definitely wasn’t what you’d intended.
“Poe.” You whisper, your previous annoyance burned up with embarrassment. You try to push on his arm, move it back over. But your movements only cause him to grumble and hold you tighter, curling his body into yours.
You breathe in deeply. At least you had some space, right?
Eventually you drift off to sleep again. And even though you didn’t want to admit it, there was something comforting about Poe’s warmth and tight hug.
But of course his close proximity made you dream of him.
It was hazy, and not quite tangible. Part of you was vaguely aware that you were dreaming, the edges were too soft, too liquid and not quite in focus.
Except it felt real.
There was an ache between your legs that was being teased by a constant pressure. You squirmed against it, trying to find some semblance of relief.
A faint sigh pulled you further from sleep. A quiet muffled whisper of your name murmured into your neck sent a sharp thrill of sensation down your spine.
“Poe?” Your voice was heavy, saturated with sleep as you shifted slightly, moving and- oh.
He moans softly against your skin as your hip brushes against his hard cock, his fingers digging into your ribs as he holds you close, silently begging you to repeat the motion.
“‘m sorry,” he mumbled, obviously just fully waking himself. “I didn’t, I didn’t mean to,” this time he shifts slightly, raising his legs and you gasp, unable to stop the sound from spilling out of your mouth. His thigh rubs against your centre, pressing your soaked through pyjama bottoms against you.
You grip hold of his shoulder, your other hand fisting the curls at the nape of his neck as you pull him against you, needing him closer.
His breath hitches. “Is that good?” He murmured, pressing his thigh against you again and rocking it back and forward slightly.
You bite your lip and nod desperately, your eyes screwed shut.
He watches you, enraptured for a second, before he slowly leans back to your neck and places a light kiss against your skin.
You whine at the caress, rubbing your aching clit back and forth against the strong muscle of his thigh.
Poe briefly mistakes the small sound as distress, all his senses on high alert. “I can stop, I’m sorry, I don’t-”
“Please don’t stop,” you beg, your voice breaking, sounding needy and pathetic and so, so wrecked. “Feels good, please, Poe, please, I-” you moan loudly, giving up any pretence of trying to hide your feelings as he latches back onto your neck, sucking hard, and grabs hold of your hips, fucking you against his leg.
“Poe,” you whine, dragging out his name. Not sure for a moment if this is real or if you’re still dreaming.
“Fuck baby, yes,” he growls, biting at your skin before licking a stripe up your neck. “Keep moaning my name like that, keep doing it.”
He kissed you sloppily, biting at your bottom lip and slipping his tongue into your mouth, as he moved. Before climbing on top of you and hooking his hands under your knees so that he could move your legs apart and settle between him.
He moaned as he pressed his cock against your clothed heat, echoing your cry of pleasure.
“Poe,” you whimpered between kisses, so desperate for every touch and caress.
“Wanted you for so long,” he kissed you hard, trailing his lips down your jaw and neck while he ran his hands over your breasts and waist. “Always imagined what you’d sound like, feel like, taste like.”
He kisses down your chest, biting softly at your breast through the material of your top and moaning when you gasp and buck up against him.
“Always want you to make that noise,” he groans as he keeps trailing his lips downwards, dragging his fingertips lower until he can slip them under the waistband of your trousers.
You yelp in surprise as he pulls them off in one fluid motion, partially lifting you off the mattress in the process. The cool night air hits your feverish skin, but you barely have a moment to shiver before he’s pulling your legs back open. His fingers digging into your thighs and leaving bruises in his hast, not that you care.
When his tongue touches your clit it feels like heaven. You gasp and moan loudly, crying out his name as he sucks. His own groan of pleasure vibrating through you.
He presses his left forearm against the inside of your thigh, spreading his hand out across your stomach and pinning you down as he devours you.
Instinctively you grind up against him as your claw at the bedsheets. He sucks at your nub, alternating between kitten licks and rolling circles, driving you completely mad as he purposefully ignores your aching centre.  Poe growls low in his throat happily as you moan and writhe under him.
“Poe, please!” You never imagined it would be like this, never dared to hope that he would want to touch you like this, and now he had pushed all rational thinking completely out of your mind, filled you utterly to the brim with only thoughts of him.
He moans again, bucking against the mattress to give himself some slight relief. “You’re so wet,” he runs his nose through your folds, following it with broad licks of his tongue. He teases your entrance, just slipping inside for a smallest moment, and chuckling when you whine and try to thrust up against him.
“How long have you been this wet, hmm?” He nips at your thigh, bringing his right hand up to trace the outline of your pussy while he keeps you pressed against the bed with his left.
“You been walking around the base just desperate for me? Just needing me to take care of you?”
“Yes,” you sobbed, your skin burning with embarrassment as you admitted it.
“Oh, fuck,” he whimpers, the dark seductive tone faltering at your confession. He buried his face into your thigh, sucking a love bite into your skin.
Poe presses two fingers into you easily, slowly sliding them in and out and moaning as he feels your walls contract around him.
Your back arches, toes curling as he gently readjusts the angle, searching for the spot to make you see stars.
“Poe,” you breathe, so overcome with the sensation of his thick fingers.
He reaches up with his left hand and grabs yours, squeezing tightly. “That’s it baby, that’s it, fuck,” he bites his lip, watching your face intently.
The ache in his dick is maddening, all consuming, he’s so hard he’s sure he could cum just from watching you.
“Always need you,” he mutters, unable to stop himself as he continues to fuck you deep with his fingers. “Always so desperate for you, just want you all the time, I-” He stops himself, stumbling over the words he wants to say, that every fibre of his being demands he says.
He can’t speak those words, can’t admit them when every day is just another chance for the universe to tear you apart.
“Poe,” you grab hold of him, pulling his lips to yours and kissing him deeply before you yank off your top and tug at his trousers. “I need you too.”
He groans and kisses you back, almost completely swallowing your words. But thankfully he gets the message and helps you to tug down his trousers to his knees before he leans forward and thrusts into you.
You both cry out, moaning loud enough to wake the whole base, still just for a moment to truly feel each other before Poe starts to move.
He rocks his hips against you, thrusting in and out with long lazy strokes as he bites his lip hard enough to bleed. His features pinched together in deep concentration as he tries so hard not to cum.
“I’m not gonna… I’m not gonna last long,” he moans as you clench around him, at how tightly you grip him and how your muscles tense as you arch up to meet his every movement.
“Me neither.” You pant, every nerve feels like it’s on fire, ignited by every touch.
He presses his forefinger against your clit, rubbing soft circles around the nerve and gasping when you twitch and clamp down on him.
“Poe,” you barely get the word out, pleasure twisting in your stomach and chest and drowning your lungs.
The slow rock is driving you insane, a gentle push and pull, give and take. It would be so much easier, so much simpler if it was hard and fast and meaningless and wasn’t… wasn’t…
“Baby,” he gasps, so close and needing more, needing you to overwhelm him, to-
You cry out as you cum, throwing your head back and squeezing him hard. He sobs as he follows, thrusting once more and stays deep as he cums inside.
The sound of both of your breathing fills the room as your heartbeats return to normal.
There’s the smallest fraction of a second where insecurity raises its ugly head, starts to whisper in your ear.
But it’s almost as if Poe can hear it too. He pushes himself up to look into your eyes before kissing you softly and holding you tight.
You chuckle as he nuzzles your cheek.
“I’ve still got my shirt on.” He mutters and you laugh.
He grins and snuggles into your neck for a moment before he fumbles with the blanket, mostly managing to pull it over you both. “I’ll clean us up in a second, I just wanna…” He yawns and you smile.
“Me too.” You kiss his cheek and hug him close. He sighs happily and holds you tight.

Tumblr media
writing masterlist | askbox
─── summary: you and poe have never seen eye-to-eye. most days, you wonder if you ever will.
─── pairing: poe dameron x solo!reader.
─── warnings: reader is gender neutral, reader is han & leia's child, no use of y/n. lots of snarky banter. this was supposed to be flirty fluff but it turned into an angstfest so, yeah, sorry for that. finn eavesdrops and chewie is sassy bastard.
─── word count: 1.6k.
Tumblr media
“YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.”
Poe ducks his head and quickly manages to conceal the wince creeping onto his features just in time, but crouched in the cockpit beside him, Rey still feels his shoulders go stiff. She presses a hand to her mouth in a weak attempt to stifle her laugh, but she’s not quite successful as Poe shoots her a glare.
She doesn’t blame him, really. You are… Well, sort of scary when you’re angry.
There’s more than just a spark of your mother’s fire in you, that’s for sure.
Glancing over her shoulder, she finds you standing in the doorway, regarding the pair of them with a ruthless glare so sharp it might leave a mark.
Rey is suddenly pretty sure that Poe didn’t talk to you like he said he would.
“I go for a nap because I haven’t slept properly in two days after you—” The finger you jab in Poe’s direction might as well be a knife, the way he flinches, “— get us stranded in First Order territory after leading us on a wild goose chase, knock out the comms and the navigation with your, frankly batshit, behaviour which I have spent hours trying to fix, and then I left you with one simple instruction.”
Which… Alright, not all of that is strictly fair, Rey thinks, because at least half of the chaos of the past few days can be attributed to sheer bad luck, and another third can be blamed on decisions made under pressure whose outcomes boiled down to bad or worse.
It’s not really Poe’s fault. Not anymore than the rest of them, at least.
But Rey knows how you feel about this ship. The Falcon is your inheritance, the only real home you have left in the world. It’s all that is left of your father.
You were protective of it even before he died, and since—
Rey clears her throat. “I’m just gonna… go check on Finn.”
Poe’s expression reeks of betrayal as Rey scoots past you to go and find Finn, who’s loitering in the main hold with Chewbacca, but she’s not about to hang around and get caught in the crossfire between the two of you.
She doesn’t have a death wish.
Finn looks just suspicious enough, when she locates him, that she doesn’t even bother scolding him for eavesdropping. She’s about to do the same, after all.
“He told me he checked it was alright before we started reconfiguring the navicomputer.” Rey folds her arms across her chest, frowning in the direction of the cockpit. Your voice is still rattling down the corridor towards them.
Finn clicks his tongue. “Evidently not.”
In the cockpit, Poe pushes himself to stand, resting a hand on the back of the captain’s chair. Your voice is hard as duracrete as you take a step towards him, crowding the small space with so much of your frustration that it feels difficult to breathe.
Poe wonders if the sensors are on the blink, and someone popped an airlock somewhere, because the air feels a little thin. You jab in the chest with your finger, and all he does is blink, suddenly lightheaded.
“I gave you one instruction. I said, the nav systems are rebooting, I’m going grab some shuteye, don’t touch anything. And what do you do?”
     “The console was beeping!”
“I don’t care if a damn mynock got in here and started eating it, I said don’t touch it.”
“But it’s alright for Rey to touch it?” He’s being petty, he knows that, but an angry flush has started creeping up your neck, and he wants to know what you look like with your cheeks coloured that delightful shade of pink.
“Rey didn’t break it!” A ragged breath tears from your throat, and you rake a hand roughly through your hair. “She knows what she’s doing. I trust her.”
“And you don’t trust me, is that it?” Something like sadness swirls low in his gut as he waits for your response. It hurts him to ask, even though he’s wearing his bravado like a mask, even though he likes pushing all your buttons because when your eyes flash like that, it’s like standing in the eye of a hurricane or falling in zero gravity.
You’re not friends, he knows that. Not since the day you met, and you pressed a blaster up against his neck in the cargo hold of your old ship and he’d grinned down at you as if getting his life threatened was his favourite pastime.
He’d been trying to steal it. You’re still not sure what happened, exactly, except that there were Stormtroopers firing at your ship — which, honestly, was held together by little more than string and sheer stubbornness at that point — and your mother’s favourite flyboy watching you with a bizarre hope in his eyes, and you’d just… hated him, in that moment.
Hated him for crashing into your life and dragging you, kicking and screaming, back to the life you’d fled. Hated your mother for her good heart and your father for running away. Hated the whole damn galaxy for not killing you when it had the chance.
Poe had wanted you to take him to D’Qar, but you’d spent too long leaving things behind to go back now, so you’d dropped him at the nearest safe outpost and prayed you’d never see him again.
Clearly, the universe had other plans.
It’s been years since that first encounter, but neither of you have warmed to one another since then. There’s very little point, you think. He’s unbearable, always needling at you, picking at all of your defences as if he has a right to know you.
It doesn’t matter. In the end, everyone leaves, one way or another.
You just wish he’d hurry up and do it, already.
You’re not friends, but you’re something more and something less, and the way your lower lip twitches at his question feels like a punch to the gut.
“Why should I?” You blink at him, and a moment later you realise how close you’ve grown, almost chest-to-chest with this man who drives you mad. With a rough swallow, you force yourself to take a step back.
He doesn’t move. Hardly dares to breathe, with his mouth curled into that little half-smirk he knows you hate, because it hurts that you don’t trust him, but it would hurt more if you knew it.
     “Why shouldn’t you?”
A scoff. “Well, for starters, I don’t think you’ve ever had a plan that didn’t blow up in your face.”
The familiar howl of Finn’s laughter rolls down the corridor, quickly cut off by a quiet thump and a low, pained groan.
Poe blinks at you. “Excuse me?”
“And you don’t take proper care of the Falcon!” The controls and all their exposed wires serve to prove your point.
Turning on your heel, you march out into the corridor, abandoning him in the cockpit. He stares at your retreating form, unable to kick his brain back into gear for a few seconds, but a moment later he’s striding after you.
“I take care of the Falcon!”
A huff of laughter bubbles out of you, entirely lacking in humour. “Lightspeed skipping.”
“That was one time!” His voice squeaks out of him much higher than he’d like, and as they emerge into the main hold, he clears his throat. “And the Falcon was fine.”
You come to a stop so suddenly that he can almost hear your shoes screeching on the floor. “It was twice, and just because you can do something, doesn’t mean you should. That seems like a lesson you should’ve learned by now, but no, you keep pushing it!”
Reckless and stubborn, headstrong and utterly selfless. Not for the first time, you regret being dragged back into this mess. Your life hadn’t exactly been peaceful before — you are your father’s child, after all — but it wasn’t this.
How many more heroes will you watch die before all of this is over?
How much of it can you take?
You watch one of those heroes stare at you, now, and it feels like you’ve swallowed a handful of broken glass.
Behind you, sitting at the dejarik table and making absolutely no attempt to disguise his eavesdropping, Finn leans close to Rey. “You’d never guess they were married, huh?”
He’s whispering, but it’s not exactly quiet.
As if you’re suddenly possessed by the same entity, you and Poe whirl around, mouths agape. “We are not married.”
An uncomfortable heat curls around your spine at the thought of it. Married to Poe Dameron? You cannot imagine anything worse.
Chewie, seated opposite Finn and Rey, makes an exasperated sound. Rey can’t help but snort.
You narrow your eyes at your father’s oldest friend, resting your hands on your hips. “‘Could’ve fooled me?’ Chewie, what are you talking about?”
As your wrath settles upon a new victim, Poe takes the opportunity to slip out of sight, with every intention of hiding in the Engineering Bay on the opposite end of the ship until the danger has passed.
Marching quickly down the corridor, Poe drags a hand over his unbearably warm face and feels like something beneath his ribcage is itching to crawl out. He thinks it might be his heart.
Married to you. Yeah. He can’t think of anything worse, either.

Always Be Prepared
Poe Dameron x Reader

Masterlist - Join My Taglist!
Written for Fictober 2023!
Fandom: Star Wars
Day 21 Prompt: "Just in case this doesn't work."
Summary: Poe and his SO are supposed to be completing a simple, subtle reconnaissance mission, but a complication might make the 'subtle' part challenging.
Word Count: 1,073
Category: Fluff
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
"This is... not good."
My boyfriend, Poe Dameron, and I stood shoulder to shoulder, tucked into our hiding spot as we watched First Order troops crawl all over the ship we were supposed to be escaping on. We'd come to this world on an intelligence gathering mission. Unfortunately for us, we apparently hadn't gone completely unnoticed.
Poe shrugged, nudging his shoulder against mine. "I don't know, it could be worse. We could've been in the ship when they swarmed it."
I huffed a laugh. "I guess that's true. So what do we do now?"
"Hmm. Did you see any other ships around here that we could take off with instead?"
"Not unless you count the ships the First Order came in on. And somehow I don't think we're gonna have much luck taking one of those."
"Then we need a distraction. Something big enough to draw them away from our ship, so big that we actually have half a shot at getting past those troopers."
Poe and I hummed in thought, each scanning our surroundings and staring off into space to try to get some inspiration. We'd spent enough time studying maps of this place and actually combing through it in the past few hours that if there was anything to be done, we should've been able to figure it out.
My eyes wandered over the door we'd just come from, leading to the heart of the building, including its power core.
A crazy, stupid, terrible idea hit me like lightning. I turned to Poe and found him staring back, the same spark of insanity I'd fallen in love with glimmering behind his eyes.
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" he asked, a manic grin growing slowly on his face. I shook my head.
"I kind of hate to say this, but yeah, I think I am."
"Well then, what are we waiting for?"
A better, less dangerous idea, I thought, but didn't say it out loud. Poe and I had done and survived all kinds of crazy things in our time with the Resistance, both together and apart. If we'd made it this far, then odds were good that we'd keep making it. Right?
As one, we turned and headed in the opposite direction from our ship, back into the heart of the facility we'd stolen information from. With the discovery of our ship, security had surely been tightened, but we still made it to our target.
The building's energy core hummed before us like a giant glowing weak point. If someone were to blow it up, they'd certainly cause a distraction worthy of attention from a bunch of First Order stormtroopers.
"You know, I feel like it's concerning that we're so in sync about stuff like this," I said as Poe and I moved around the room, quickly identifying weak points where we could do the most damage with just a few charges.
"I think we should be more concerned about why you bring explosive charges with you every time we go on a mission."
I shrugged. "It's working out for us so far, isn't it? You never know when a fast and easy sabotage method might come in handy in our line of work."
"I... guess I can't argue with that," said Poe with a chuckle. We worked together to place the charges, then I hooked up a remote detonator while Poe watched the door. Once everything was set, I gave him a thumbs up and went to meet him by the door. We ducked and dodged through the ever-increasing security measures, thankfully, finally making it back to our hiding spot in front of our ship.
It seemed like another group or two of storm troopers had made their way over, and I knew it was only a matter of time until they started expanding their search radius. It wouldn't take them long to find Poe and I if we didn't do something soon.
"Alright, should we go for it?" I asked, holding the detonator up in question to Poe. Suddenly, this plan felt a lot riskier than before we'd actually been ready to implement it.
"Hold on, one more thing first."
With that, he wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me to him. He kissed me, hard, and after a second's surprise I melted into him, kissing him back just as hard. After a few long, savored moments, Poe pulled away, leaving me a little breathless as I subconsciously trailed after him. He grinned.
"Just in case this doesn't work," he said by way of explanation. I just smiled and shook my head.
"Get ready to run to the ship and go like hell, Flyboy. Once I press this button, it's mostly on you to get us out of here. I'll watch our backs."
Poe winked at me, and I smiled back at him. I took a deep breath, trying to steel myself as best I could, then pushed the button on the detonator.
A moment later, an explosion rocked the building. All the stormtroopers in front of us dropped what they were doing to look up in shock, and as the chain reaction of the explosion continued, they started shouting and rushing towards the building to try to do something. As a result, our ship was left almost completely unguarded.
In perfect sync, Poe and I took off running. I let him get a bit ahead of me, then turned as I ran, ready to shoot at anyone who tried to stop our escape.
Lucky for us, the distraction had worked even better than planned. With a First Order facility literally going up in smoke, even the few people left on the other ships in the yard were too distracted to notice Poe and I taking off until it was basically too late to stop us.
Once we made it to Hyperspace headed back for Resistance HQ, I let myself relax all the way. I put a hand on Poe's shoulder and kissed him on the cheek, then flopped back in my seat to watch the stars streak by.
"Nice work," I sighed. "We should start giving classes on pulling off insane shit like that."
"I hate to break it to you, but we're not out of the woods yet, sweetheart."
I frowned. "What do you mean?"
"One of us still has to explain the mess we left behind us to General Organa."
"Not it!"

Pairing: Poe Dameron x Reader
Warnings: None. Angst, romance, humour.
Summary: You’re informed of what happened to Poe...and it couldn’t be straightforward.
You sat by the monitor and continuously flipped through the life scans of Jakku. It had been 8 hours since news reached the base of a First Order attack on the planet and all contact had been lost with Poe Dameron and his droid BB-8.
You had barely gotten a wink of sleep. The destruction of the village haunted your thoughts and the fear of losing Poe in the field was the reason you worked relentlessly to find the Resistance pilot and his droid.
Most of the officers had retired to their bed chambers for rest but there were still several others that remained working. Leaning forward, you set your head to rest on the palm of your hand while pouring over footage for the hundredth time.
“Lieutenant?” A voice called out.
Turning to the right, you saw General Organa looking back, grim-faced. An expression that you knew to be accompanied with bad news.
Standing up respectively, you saluted the Princess of Alderaan. “General. Is there a problem?”
Leia let out a soft sigh. “Follow me.”
The two words were frightening. They could lead into anything. You followed the General to the X-Wing bay and caught up to walk beside her. Leia had kept quiet most of the way which only heightened your concern. So you spoke up.
“General Organa, what are we doing here?” The bay was operating as usual and there didn’t seem to be any apparent disruption.
Leia stopped walking and you turned to face her.
“We recovered the body of Poe Dameron.” Leia revealed.
You wanted the ground to swallow you. Your mind went blank and suddenly you couldn’t remember what Poe looked like. Mouth falling dry, your chest began to ache… then a voice made itself known as it approached.
“I think we can skip Jakku from our list of honeymoon destinations.” Poe joked - very much alive.
You turned and saw the familiar messy black hair. Running forward, you threw your arms around Poe’s neck – engulfing the man in the warmest hug. Your nails dug into his shirt holding him tight as if he would disappear again.
Then the choked sobs of relief escaped.
Poe’s eyes widened, his arms squeezing just a bit tighter. “Hey, I’m here. It’s okay.” He looked to Leia and she shook her head at him.
“I warned you not to play this trick.” She reprimanded.
A commander approached the princess and requested for her to join them in the war room. Leia nodded and left to complete her duties.
After a few minutes, you finally calmed enough to release Poe. You studied his face and noted the bruises printing his skin and blood-stains over his top. The side of his head was wounded and his trademark jacket was missing.
In spite of the obvious damage, he glowed.
“I thought I lost you.” You told him.
Poe nodded sadly. “You almost did aboard the Empire’s fleet.”
“You were taken captive? How did you-?”
“I promise I’ll tell you everything but, uh…” Poe rubbed his neck sheepishly. “I think my X-Wing is busted.”
Any other day, you might have warned him about damaging the jet but, as of this moment, you could care less about it. Smiling with relief, you grabbed Poe by his shirt, pulled him close and kissed him without a second thought. Poe placed a gentle hand on your cheek and returned the affectionate token until you pulled back slightly.
“As long as it’s not you.” You whispered. Poe wrapped his arms around your body, staying close – thankful that he had made it home. He knew that they had a new mission to find and retrieve BB-8 but it could wait for a few moments with you.

Poe grabs your hips tightly as he takes a deep breath, gently biting your ear as he whispers “I’m going to be very demanding and very hard on you” Smirking “is that, something that..... you can handle?”
You smirk back, trying to match his energy “is that a promise, Poe?
Grinning back at your reply to him. “You want to test me? You are a naughty little pet aren’t you? Show me how far you're willing to go to please me!”
You Don’t verbally answer him. Instead, you are taking his large hand you put in on your throat. You moan softly when he squeezebox and smirks as you moan, leaning down to kiss you roughly. “such a good girl for me”
His gaze turns into a look of care as he kisses your cheek. “what’s your limits, my dear?.”
“No pain for pains sake.”  You gaze hopefully into his sparking chocolate eye’s.
Gently caressing your cheek. “I understand. I respect that” kissing your cheek “what about pleasure for pleasures sake? Can you handle that?”
“Yes Poe. I can handle that” a feeling of safety and comfort wash over you as you believe him.
But suddenly, his gaze was cold and intensive as he stared into your soul. “Prove it Y/N” He smiles wickedly as he walks away to get the black box he brought in earlier, lifting the box running his fingers along its lid.
“How Sir. How do you want me to prove it?” You feel the pit of your stomach fall as you stare wide-eyed at Poe.
“STRIP RIGHT NOW. Show me your beautiful body” he runs his hand through his ebony curls with a look of lust in his eyes.
You start unbuttoning your uniform. “Yes sir” your uniform isn’t the most attractive thing in the universe to wear, but you quickly remove it without fumbling about. You finally remove your underwear and stand naked in front of Poe. He was a look you can’t quite figure out. But he is glued to you admiring your body in front of him.
“Stunning” A look of awe shows on his features as he walks up close to you. He gently starts caressing you shoulders as you shudder with his touch. His hands move lower, caressing your body, stopping to cup your breasts, and he pinches your nipples hard as you whimper.
Poe smiles at your reaction to his touches. He leaves a caressing trail down your stomach and proceeds to rub his fingers over your mound and just as your hoping to feel him touch you intimately, He with draws his hand with a smirk much to you and your throbbing clit’s disappointment.
His erection is visibly straining against his black trousers.
“I have a question. Are you ready to be mine and no one else’s, forever and always?” He smiles at you.
You know this is it. This is your future now. You are his, and if you are satisfied and keep him happy. Your future will be good and happy. “yes sir. I belong to you and you only, sir.” You smile happily back at him.
Poe nods with another smile on his handsome face. “Good Girl” moving closer and kissing you passionately. He pulls back, looking you dead in the eyes “If anyone asks questions about the relationship between you and I, what do you say?”
You smile confidently back at him. “I belong to commander Dameron, sir.”
Nodding his head as his shiny ebony curls bounce. “Good girl. You belong to me, and me only  you’ll do anything for me. Do you understand?”
“Yes sir. I understand completely” breathing heavily as you watch Poe bring the black box over to you.
He leans in whispering. “Good. Because after tonight, there will be no turning back. You understand that, right?” his hand caresses your neck. “But I can tell you want this, right?”
“Ye......Yes sir. I need you. I crave you, sir.” Whimpering at his caresses. Smirking “That’s my good girl. Now on your knees and serve me”
Dropping to your knees, you look up at him in a mixture of excitement and nerves dancing in your stomach as to what Poe is going to do to you.
Running his hand through your hair, gently pulling as he does. “Promise me you’ll never abandon me. You’ll never turn against me. Never make me question your loyalty to me, my dear?” his other hand caresses you cheek.
You see and sense his vulnerability as he says this. “I promise you that I will be loyal and will never abandon you no matter what.” You gaze up at him, smiling happily full of love for him.
He leans down gently, kissing your soft lips it’s a kiss full of affection and love. “Then you’ll never know a day of pain in your life from me. I promise you that Y/N I will make you happy, and I will keep you safe. I won’t let anyone hurt you when I’m around. I’ll make sure you get all you’ll ever hope for. I am your master, your protector, and your lover. Now say it. Say yes master.”
Smiling up at his soft but intense gaze “Yes master”
“Good girl. Just so you know, in advance, this isn’t going to be like anything you’ve experienced before, my dear. I’m not like other men. I’m a lot.......Rougher. A lot more demanding. Is that OK, my dear?”
“Yes master, I trust you completely.” Your eyes never leave his face.
“Good girl. You will obey. You will do as I say. Wear what I want you to wear. You will go where I go. Your body, mind, heart, and soul belong to me. Understand?” He looks at you lovingly as he continues to caress your cheek.
With a soft whimper, looking up at him with love. “Yes master. I understand. I know you’ll take excellent care of me.”
“My good girl. Now I will make you mine now.” Poe opens the black box revealing a small branding device. You can see the intricate design of his P.D. initials. Are you ready to be eternally connected to me?
“Yes master. I’m yours” You watch as Poe heats the device up, and you watch with slight fear as the initials start to glow bright orange. Your voice quivers as you try to speak “will it hurt?”
“A slight sting, my dear. But I’m here with you. Are you ready, my dear?” He brushes your hair away from your neck. “Yes master. I’m ready. Ca... can I hold onto you, please?”
“Yes my dear, of course you may” he kisses the top of your head as you grip onto Poe’s calf tightly. The branding device stings and burns, and the smell of burnt flesh fills your nostrils as tears roll down your cheeks with a soft whimper.
Poe brands your neck behind your right ear. After he finishes branding and making you his, he sprays bacta spray on the wound to heal it. You still kneel in front of Poe as he cleans the device, putting in back in the box when he’s done.
He turns to you, wiping your tears away. “Do you our eternal connection, my dear?” You can only whimper out a quiet “Yes master” Your breathing starts to steady as Poe caresses your cheek as he leans down, kissing you passionately whispering against your lips “You took that so well. You’re my good girl.”
Poe starts unbuckling his leather belt and then unbuttoning his black trousers. They fall down, pooling around his ankles, exposing his muscular legs. You can see his erection jutting out against his boxers. Your mouth starts salivating, and you unconsciously rub your thighs together for some friction.
In a commanding voice “show me how much you want to please me!” You crawl the small distance between you both. You rest your weight on your knees and calf’s. As you hook your fingers around the waist band of his boxers pulling them down as his hard cock springs free, pre cum dripping as it bounces against his toned stomach.
You lick your lips and bite your bottom lip at the scene in front of you. You start massaging his thighs as your plush lips kiss the tip of his hard cock. You both moan at the same time., you taste him, its a sweet salty taste. You start sucking and lacking around the head as you hand pumps his shaft occasionally twisting your hand around as you pump. Poe grabs your hair pulling tightly as the most beautiful moans escape his parted lips and tightly closed eyes.
“Such a good girl. My good girl. That’s it, my dear. Suck my cock, Your little mouth looks so pretty around my big cock” moaning holding onto to you tighter.
You take more of his cock in your mouth, bobbing your head up and down his hard shaft. Sucking harder, you gag slightly as his cock hits the back of your throat as Poe starts fucking your mouth with hard thrusts.
“So good for me. My good girl. You are mine and no one else’s. No man will ever satisfy you like me.” Poe thrusts his cock in your mouth faster. You can feel the veins pulse and his cock throb, you suck harder as you feel like his cock is branding your mouth as drool runs down your chin. Poe feels is orgasm coming on him as he starts grunting as well as moaning.
He pulls his cock out your mouth with an audible pop. Still pulling your hair, he pulls your hair to the side with it. He puts his hand around his cock and starts pumping hard, the purple head swollen and throbbing. Hi pumps his cock a few more times grunting as he cums over the branding mark with a load moan. You feel his hot cum on your skin.
He owns you. You’re his. Poe breathes heavily as the let’s your hair go. You whimper as you feel his fingers rubbing his cum into his mark. “Mine” He growls. Looking at you in pure lust.
“Open” moving his cum covered fingers to your lips, you greedily accept them sucking them clean. You lean forward and start gently sucking and liking his cum covered cock clean as he softly whimpers.
He pulls his soft cock free from you lips. Smiling lovingly at you. He leans down kissing you passionately and he let’s a soft moan as he tastes himself on your tongue.
“You Y/N are my one and only forever. My little pet. Now let me show you my devotion to you.” Poe begins removing the rest of his clothes, showing his strong and toned physique. He leans down and picks you up and carries you through to your new bed.
As Poe lays you down on his bed, he thinks to himself “You’re just a toy. A little toy, I like to play with. But I think I’m starting to love you now.”

“What’s the escape plan?”
At the question, Poe shoots you an odd look that is quite concerning. “Escape plan?”
“Yeah, the escape pla—oh my god,” you say in a hushed whisper, blinking at him. “You don’t have one.”
“I don’t have one yet. Don’t worry, I’ll come up with something quick and then—”
“—and then we get captured, locked up behind bars to rot or until they decide to—”
Your ramblings are cut short when Poe puts a hand over your mouth, gently shushing you. Three stormtroopers approach the stack of oversized crates, shrouded in darkness due to the absence of sun at this late hour.
You freeze and hold your breath, waiting for them to pass. Fortunately, they march right by without problem, oblivious to the fact that you two are hiding behind them.
As happy and relieved as you were when Poe first showed up to free you, you’re now back to thinking that you will die at the hands of the First Order. It’ll only be a matter of time until someone realizes their imprisoned Resistance spy has escaped. You’ll never get out of here, especially without a plan. You’re doomed.
You swallow thickly and try to distract yourself from the dread and panic clawing inside of you. You’re on the verge of hyperventilating. Glancing around wildly, you need to focus on something else. Anything.
Eventually, you have no choice but to settle on having your attention on the pilot’s stupidly handsome face. You keep your eyes on him, inhaling and exhaling deeply to gather your composure. All the while, you wonder— has he always been this good-looking up close? You have never realized how pretty of a shade his dark eyes are or how much they sparkle in the low light. You’ve never seen such thick and curly hair like his, and you have the biggest urge to card your fingers through it.
“Sweetheart, hey—relax,” Poe murmurs when you grow quiet on him, his watchful gaze flickering every now and then to check your surroundings. “Breathe. We got this.”
Poe has long dropped his hand from your mouth, but it remains on your face, cupping your cheek as he assesses you for any injuries. You feel your pulse pick up a beat. You’re sure it’s mainly from the threat of danger you’ve found yourself in. Certainly not because of Poe, your good friend, and crush ever since the day you joined the Resistance.
No, it definitely cannot be that.
“Okay,” you sigh out, nodding. You take a quick glance at the perimeter yourself this time, mostly to hide away from his gaze. “Now what? We can’t stay and hide here forever.”
“You’re right,” Poe agrees. He steps closer to you, his chest brushing against your back as he scans the area with you. “My ship’s past the tree line. Best course of action is to sneak out without alerting anyone. But if things don’t go our way, we use these.”
Slipped into your hand is a blaster. You take a deep breath and tighten your fingers around the grip. You hope it doesn’t come down to a shootout between you, Poe, and the dozens of armed guards patrolling the place. Violence isn’t really your strong suit. That’s why you preferred missions that involved laying low and gathering intel. Too bad your cover got blown on this assignment.
(And yes, you are still sore about that).
“I’m a shit shot, just a heads up,” you warn Poe. You turn around and bump into him, forgetting that there’s barely any space between you. He doesn’t make an effort to step away, and surprisingly, you don’t either.
Poe’s lips curl into a smug grin. He holds up his own weapon in his hand. “And I’m very much not. See, we’re a perfect match. On a scale of 1 to 10, how’d you rate my spur-of-the-moment escape plan?”
You bite back a chuckle and shake your head. Leave it to Poe to distract you from your worries, even if it only lasts a minute. In all seriousness, you have faith in him. He can be overly cocky sometimes, but he’s smart and skillful. You’ve seen and heard what he’s capable of. There’s a reason why you and plenty of others admire the hell out of him.
“I’d give it a 7.5, mainly ’cause I trust in your confidence too much. Plus, it’s not like we have other options.”
“That’s the spirit,” Poe beams. “Sorry if I worried you about not really thinking this through earlier. Once I found out you were being held out here, I kinda just... went for it, y’know? I didn’t have time to waste. I couldn’t let anything happen to you.”
You smile at him, ignoring how your cheeks are warming up against the crisp nighttime air. You’re touched by Poe’s statement. Grateful that you’ve crossed paths with someone like him. Who else would be this reckless and determined to dive into an impromptu rescue—or insane enough to risk their life to save yours?
The thought has your heart feeling tender, but you can’t get caught up in it at this moment. You and Poe need to make it out alive first. Fuck, now the nerves are starting to creep back in.
“Thank you. If we come back to the base both in one piece, dinner’s on me.”
“You mean when we get back,” he corrects. He holds his hand out for yours. “Deal. It’s a date. Alright, you ready?”
Poe’s question almost doesn’t register in your head after he refers to your dinner offer as a date. He doesn’t seem to be joking around. He sounds serious, and you don’t question it. You find yourself more than okay with calling it that.
Clearing your throat, you give Poe a slight nod, ready as you’ll ever be. Both of you have to get out of here alive. Your date depends on it.
Staying undetected as you move through the shadows was easy in the beginning. Few are out on patrol this evening, and when you do encounter someone, Poe manages to evade them. Surely this isn’t his first go-around at something like this.
You do your best not to allow your anxiety of getting caught to cause you to lose focus. The warmth of Poe’s hand in yours helps soothe you, an assurance that if anything goes wrong, you’re not alone.
When you spot your way out, relief floods over you. You tell yourself you’ll be home soon. That you’ll be back in your bed in no time, tucked under the covers, safe and sound. No longer would you be fearing for your life in the way you are right now.
You’re nearly there— the clearing is just within sight. Less than a hundred yards away more and…
Sirens suddenly blare. So loud that they ring in your ears and leave you disoriented for several seconds. The quiet of the night quickly descends into chaos as guards pour out from every which way. The radioed orders your ears pick up are clear and bone-chilling: they are searching for you, and if found, they want you gone permanently.
“There you are, scum,” a trooper snarls from behind, weapon pointed at you. They’re about to pull down on the trigger, but Poe reacts much quicker. The blaster in his hand fires, and the man instantly drops to the ground.
You barely have time to process what happened when Poe grasps your hand tightly, holding onto it uncomfortably tight, but his touch is grounding. The two of you share a knowing look as the sound of distant voices and heavy footsteps grow closer.
“We gotta keep moving. Shoot anyone who’s chasing after us, got it?” He says, his voice a blur over the erratic pounding of your heart.
Poe doesn’t wait for your acknowledgment. He makes a mad dash towards the gate leading out of the compound. He wasn’t lying when he said he was not a shit shot, taking down a few men with such ease— they were no match for him.
Luck seems to be on your side tonight. The moment Poe tugs you past the gate, you run across the field and into the woodlands as fast as possible, the fastest you’ve ever moved. Your muscles are sore, and your head is dizzy. It feels like you can’t get enough air in your lungs.
Still, you run. You run and run, even if you’re starting to think that your legs will give out at any moment. You have to get as far away as you can from the place that has kept you captive. It’s your best bet if you want to survive.
Finally, Poe’s ship comes into view. He glances behind you, and you mirror his action, seeing that the guards have lost track of you in the dark. The relieved smile on your face remains for only a split-second, however. As soon as you turn your head back, you see the stormtrooper emerge from the thick bushes, aiming to shoot at an unsuspecting Poe.
It’s like everything is in slow motion. From you realizing that Poe is in imminent danger to the way you forcefully push him out of the line of fire and draw your blaster.
Adrenaline buzzes through your veins. Your chest rapidly rises and falls. You steady your hand even as it fights to tremble. Without thinking twice, you fire your weapon. The first shot narrowly misses the enemy, but the following two blasts hit them fatally, and they slump to the ground, unmoving.
Luck truly is on your side tonight.
You gasp a breath in surprise when a pair of solid arms suddenly wrap around you, your nerve endings still on high alert after all that has transpired.
Poe’s gentle voice saying your name cuts through your foggy mind, and you meet his gaze. Your heartbeat continues to drum sharply against your ribcage as you stare at him for several moments, tracing the deep, worried lines etched on his face.
You don’t know what comes over you after. You’re unaware of what you’re doing until you’re right in the middle of it.
One second, you’re holding onto Poe—feeling some of the tension in your body seep out upon seeing that he’s okay, he’s unharmed— and the next, your lips are on his, soft and warm. Exactly the way you had imagined they would feel.
Poe doesn’t kiss you back right away; it is the only thing that snaps you out of this haze. Have you misread him all this time? He’s a major flirt, but you thought he was genuine with you. A knot of confusion and embarrassment forms in your stomach. How could you be so wrong? How could you have fucked things up?
You immediately pull away, taking a few stumbling steps back. Poe looks at you wide-eyed, mouth slightly open, but he doesn’t say a word. You glance down at your feet, not wanting to see his expression as you fumble out an apology.
“I-I’m sorry, Poe. I don’t know… I was just—”
You are interrupted when Poe lets out a breathless chuckle. He closes the short distance you had put between the two of you, his hands cupping your face, fingers stroking your cheeks ever so gently.
“Don’t be sorry,” he whispers. “I wasn’t expecting you to do that. It did feel very nice, though.”
Poe’s breath fanning warm over your skin causes yours to hitch. Before you can respond, he slowly leans in and recaptures your lips in a sweet kiss. Your heart stutters and skips for a whole new reason now. Something more electrifying replaces the fight or flight sensation surging within you, making you light-headed in the best possible way.
The kiss abruptly ends at the sound of dried leaves rustling and branches snapping from different directions. You notice faraway lights becoming brighter, no doubt more stormtroopers closing in on you and Poe.
“I’d like to keep kissing you, but we gotta go,” he laughs, nodding towards the ship. “The sooner we get back, the sooner we can go on our date.”
You grin in agreement and place your hand into Poe’s hand. Being with him makes you feel alive, like you can handle almost anything the universe throws at you. You could get used to this.
“Take me home, flyboy.”

In this chaotic world submitted to perpetual metamorphosis, you were a pillar. Always there, there for years and holding everything in place without breaking despite the dozens of storms that had threatened you.
War was the worst kind of obstacle he could ever imagine and yet, you were still there. Blood had been shed in unbelievable amount at every corner of the galaxy and nowadays loss was the only things universally shared. Poe gave up on his beloved pilot life to reach some higher spheres, ending up as a General whilst you were still fighting against that ridiculous Resistance.
The first time he saw you leaving the mother ship onboard of your TIE his heart sunk. He never realized how tiny his closest and precious friend was in space, and got confused at the memory of your warm skin he felt for the first time the same morning. It was crazy how much more you started to mean to him yet how insignificant you were for others.
"I told you I would be alright," you said with a wide smile and a nonchalant stance with your hands on your hips, "you used to do the same as me before you became General Dameron. So don't even dare lecture me on my amazing skills."
So that was that anger you felt whenever he would run up to danger like an idiot thinking he could defy anything anytime ? He recognized that smile and that cockiness, it was his. He had influenced you too much throughout the years.
"I would never lecture you about your skills I know you got them," he argued back with a stern gaze, "but don't start to think you can do whatever pleases you only because you can."
"Poe I'm alright." You sighed with a sad smirk.
He was not in love with you, at least he thought he was not. After all now that you would have sex together on a regular basis confusion could be easy to make. From your personality to appearance to you voice, he loved everything. But could he fall in love with you ? Impossible. He was a lonely General that had no actual friend and had to find some way to blow some steam after awful stressful days. Between Kylo Ren, the Resistance and many problems erupting from time to time on the frontline or in the First Order ranks he could only be busy non stop.
For a man whose heart had kept on turning darker and darker with bitterness he felt much better around you. Your encounters were getting rarer as your new Commander tried to get you on missions more often than ever, but Poe found a solution.
What happened to that guy by the way ?" Poe asked innocently.
"I don't know, maybe he was feeling sick." You shrugged from the bed.
Of course that poison would disturb his stomach. Poe was relieved you didn't witness the impressive amount of blood your superior lost while he was screaming in pain. The General smiled with his back turned to you as he put his pants back on. He would love to announce you right now that you would get promoted as the Commander of your own squadron, your lifelong dream since you were a kid. But he couldn't. He had been pretending he would respect your wish of letting you some space to take your own decisions. His sweet friend was so brave on the battlefield, so sweet in bed, so comforting in life.
The day everyone learned about the poisoning, Poe felt his darkest murderous instincts kicking in. No one suspected him in the assassination of that beloved Commander of course. They were all feeding his own hatred towards the Resistance, that kriffing Resistance that started to gain some territories here and there. Whispers, frowns, clenched fists. Anger was mounting and fuelling itself, unstoppable. Solidarity between the squadrons improved the statistics to a an unbelievable level. Due to the invasive and vicious way the attack unfolded, Poe also managed to unlock new military financial aid and got the authorization to restructure the army.
How good he was to you to congratulate you for your promotion. How nice and caring he was when he hugged you so tightly and whispered to you that you had nothing to fear from the Resistance.
"You're my sweet girl, nothing's going to happen to you." He would whisper to your ear between your moans. "My brave sweet girl. The best Commander."
"Shut up Poe," you chuckled breathlessly before kissing his cheek, "you're a General you shouldn't-"
His sudden hip thrust shut your mouth as he witnessed your body arching up to embrace that lazy orgasm. He didn't tolerate that you saw him as a General and not as Poe Dameron. He was Poe. Your Poe if you wanted him to be your Poe. He would be whatever you wanted him to be but never, never imply he was someone else. Did you have any idea how much that meant to him ? No of course not you were too busy mewling as his thrusts were getting almost hateful - it was not directed to you but to that kriffing endless war affecting him and you. He wanted to feel you pulling on his black curls more often, why couldn't he taste your lips as much as he wanted when he was one of the most powerful men of the galaxy ? Why couldn't he enjoy his life ? On this same morning he saw the first grey hair appearing here and there, some wrinkles as well.
"Poe." You would mewl again and again with your hands grabbing his hair.
He was pleasing you so much that his ego was starting to combust. He needed to make you his, to show how worthy you were of the honor of becoming the General's partner in life. He would defy Ren and his stupidity to have the right to cherish you openly.
The Supreme Leader knew. In one way or another. Unbearable taunts sliding from time to time during meetings as other officers would look down either in amusement or fear. Poe wasn't as afraid as he used to be. Ren was weak.
And one day, Ren was gone and everyone remained silent as they watched Poe's anger unleashed spreading desolation on his path. It was not out of thirst for destruction that he order that massive slaughter, no no no no. It was that infinite joy of learning about you. You, the oblivious love of his life. He had to protect you from that danger.
He learned about your pregnancy completely randomly, by checking your blood and urine tests like he would do for any other main squadrons' Commanders. It unlocked something in him. He had to confess his love for you, his obsession with making you his, and the time Ren started to imply that you would be better in your role in another corner of the galaxy - one where no First Order soldier had yet came back alive from - he snapped, plunging that knife dozens of times in the Supreme Leader's chest in some animalistic instinct to make sure that corpse would never walk again. No one moved, not even you. And once out of breath and with his outfit soaked in that thick blood, he knew he won.
Poe took things in his own hands, his face now known in the whole galaxy. He knew how pilots felt and what their frustrations were. He made them more efficient than ever. He improved the logistics. He was so better than Ren, he was respected, he made love to you literally every night now that he could do whatever he wanted. He promoted you once more in a hybrid position permitting you to fly yet never to reach the frontline itself. He felt your relief of not risking your life as much as before and also because he respected your wish not to prevent you from piloting. You still had no idea of your pregnancy but he felt you falling harder and harder for him after he took so much good care of you during your mysterious illness.
He loved those flirting gazes you would send him from across the room. The ones saying "I'm sweet please devour me tonight". Of course he would, why were you even asking ?
Then it clicked. He saw it in your gaze as he was embracing you from behind in a luxurious hotel room, the both of you naked as he kissed your neck, his hands caressing your belly. Your clouded eyes snapped back to reality as he was bending you over the sink, his shaft sliding inside you.
It didn't stop him from grinding sensually against you, holding your gaze in the reflection. It didn't stop him neither from making you love it, your left hand fingers grabbing the ones on your belly.
"Are you trying to-" you breathed out before moaning loudly.
"What ?" He asked tiredly.
He bent you completely over the sink, his hand grabbing your hair to force you to look down as he penetrated you. Three days with you dominating him had been exceptionally good and stimulating but he needed a break.
"Are you-are you..." you moaned before stopping, your whole body tensing up.
"Tell me what I am sweetheart." He growled with a smirk as he witnessed you coming undone.
You couldn't articulate anything and he made it last for as long as he could before ejaculating in the most satisfying orgasm he had ever experienced. The right amount of control, the right amount of care, the right amount of skin against his. He was addicted.
"Am I pregnant?" You breathed out as he was still inside you.
Oh his sweet sweet sweet girl.
"You are." He confirmed before letting a trail of kisses all over your neck.
"They never told me anything." You complained.
"It's not an emergency case for pilots." He mumbled.
"When was I supposed to know about it ?" You protested.
Great, now you were upset. Like he needed to have you turning your back to him for something else than sex.
"I love you my girl. I wanted you to take your time, to realize what your body was trying to tell you." He whispered to your ear tenderly.
He didn't imagine his confession to be made like that and especially with such a lie attached to it, but the essential point for him was that you now knew about your condition. His sweet girl, his guide throughout all those years was carrying his baby.
"That's the weirdest explanation you could even come up with." You replied with a displeased frown in the reflection. "I know when you lie to me Poe. I know you."
Why weren't you confessing your obvious love to him now ? What did he do wrong ? Upset, he slid out of you, not even thrilled by the trail of white liquid drooling from your pussy. That was anticlimactic to the extreme. It was the first time he was disappointed in your encounters.
"What can I say ? I wasn't the one having to tell you. It was their job. I don't check medical records." He said as he walked away with the only wish to be far away from you.
"You do check those tests, you already joked about some pilots' conditions !"
Oh kriff not now. It stressed him out to have you scolding him. He didn't like that at all. His hands were even shaking.
"I love you. I wanted you to realize your were pregnant. I thought you would like it." He mumbled as you stayed there.
"It's not that I don't like it or that I do. I'm... I'm too confused to think aboutr it right now Poe, but... you should have told me ! You should have found a way to make me understand ! For how long would have you kept that secret ?"
"Didn't I offer you a clue today so you could understand? Is that my fault if you didn't get it right away ? It was not the first time I caressed your belly or kissed it or talked to it." He told you with an offended raised eyebrow.
You opened your mouth before walking away to get into the shower, and Poe didn't let you the occasion to get the peace you wanted. Now that your anger awakened something in him. He joined after blocking the door behind you, pressed you against the wall and started to kiss you deeply despite your protests soon muffled as you joined his embrace desperately.
"I want to impregnate you my love." He whispered as his half-hard cock poked at your soiled entrance. "I want to impregnate the woman I love."
"Poe you had to tell me as soon as you knew about-"
"Do you love me ?" He asked as your hand started to rub his shaft.
Poe had some difficulty to get his cock as hard as he wanted to despite your help. It was too soon for him but he wanted to make you feel good, he wanted to express his anger in different way than killing people. He started to rub his tip in quick circles around your erected clit, enough to have you moaning loudly several times in a row after an attempt to remain quiet despite the wet sounds.
"I do." You admitted with a feline gaze.
He was only half hard when he slides inside your wet flesh but after a few delicate thrusts he managed to get fully hard, much to your delight.
"It doesn't excuse you Dameron." You snarled before kissing him.
He knew it but he didn't care much right now.

Poe Dameron x Ex-First Order!Reader

Months later - still not trusted by anyone in the Resistance - you vie to prove yourself once and for all. The perfect opportunity comes up when Mr. Face-of-the-damn-Resistance needs help.

Repost
Tumblr media
It took a lot of gall to double cross the First Order. You had been stolen from your home planet as a baby and indoctrinated into the regime - you knew nothing else. You were strong with force. Supreme Leader Snoke was keen to have you on his side. He kept you as a prisoner - forced to do his bidding and his dirty work, with the threat of death looming over your head. You were too young to understand that Supreme Leader Snoke couldn’t afford to have you killed, no matter how often he threatened it.
You had escaped on a regular morning, using your standing as one of Snoke’s own to commandeer a ship and escape with a fleet that were on their way to deal with Resistance scum on a nearby moon. You landed over a mile away from the other Stormtroopers, your officer uniform making you stand out like a sore thumb. You ripped your jacket up, tearing it to shreds before throwing it into the trees.
The trek into the city was long, but you used it to disguise yourself further, untucking your shirt and ripping the sleeves, before rubbing dirt into your clothes and cheeks. With the few credits you hand and your First Order military pass, you managed to barter a ship that would allow you to get off the moon unnoticed.
You set off early in the morning, heading further into the outer rim where there was less and less First Order patrol.
You landed on one of the busiest planets of all: Daiyu. Daiyu was a planet known for its thriving underworld dealings - despite the First Order's many attempts to get it under control. No one would find you there. You hid amongst the low lives, stealing little to get by and trying not to draw any attention to yourself. You may have grown up in the shelter of the Supreme Leader’s gaze, but you knew the force. And you knew how to hide in it.
Tumblr media
It took a lot of energy to hide yourself from the force. Especially considering Supreme Leader Snoke knew who you were, what you felt like. He reached out to you in the force, finger scraping you but never quite holding you long enough to gain a full picture. In the beginning, it had been hard to keep him out of your head when you were asleep - returning to the force always felt like the most natural state. A state of peace and serenity, an escape from the danger you had to evade at every waking minute.
No doubt, Snoke would send scouts out to find you. And when that failed, he'd put a pricey bounty on your head. You were right.
You'd met all sorts of hoodlums in Daiyu, and been beaten up by most of them too. But you wouldn't risk making yourself known to any of them by fighting back. Not when so many were looking for you. At the beginning, the price had been low - reasonable for someone of your lack of class and standing - but the price increased exponentially each day that passed.
It was months before you decided to venture back into living and not just hiding. You'd been monitoring the airwaves - the bounty on your head was reducing everyday - the value not nearly enough to pique the interests of the men of Daiyu. Clearly, Snoke had found someone else to chase.
You slowly allowed yourself to become one with the force again, practicing your mastery of it only when you knew others weren't watching - even if Snoke wasn't looking for you, Daiyu was the kind of place where even your friends would sell you out if they had something to gain from it. And you had no friends in Daiyu. You kept yourself blocked from the minds of Snoke and his protege, Kylo Ren, showing them misdirection every time they cast a net out for you. Your mastery was improving.
You found a job at a scrapping plant - measly pay but it was better than nothing. You clocked in and out at the same time every day, collecting your pay and rationing whatever you could buy with it. You still napped lightly in alleyways, avoiding the police officers who patrolled the streets at night to kick the homeless out of doorways.
You woke up to the ways of the real world really fast. The world was full of bad people with bad intentions. They beat you up in a back alley behind the plant, stealing your credits and your clothes before the whirring approach of police officers scared them away. You ran from the police too - not wanting to be turned into the First Order for disciplining.
The police officers were hot on your tail. You ran through the streets and the market, trying to find a place to hide. You dove into one of the mooring decks - where pilots would land their craft for the duration of their visit. You covered the identifiable logo on your chest with your arms, crossing them to seem more intimidating. You waited for the police to drive past before running in the opposite direction. Straight into the chest of someone.
He grabbed your arm tightly, leading you into another back alley. Shit. You were probably gonna be beaten up again or escorted to the police. You tried to struggle out of his grip, but it was vice-like around your arm. He clamped his other hand around your mouth, looking around for danger, presumably. You looked up at his face.
You knew that face. You'd seen it more than once in Kylo Ren's memories, and also posters around Coruscant when you were younger. Poe Dameron. The face of the Resistance.
He loosened his grip around you, as he reached up to speak into his comms. "Got a deserter. Gonna bring 'em in." Your heart plummeted. He marched you into the mooring deck, before grabbing some cuffs out of his plane. No one did a double-take. The security in Daiyu was far from the best. He cuffed your hands in front of you, before pushing you into the ship.
It was cramped inside the U-Wing, it wasn't built to seat 2 people. You sat huddled behind his seat, holding on for dear life when he took off and jumped to light speed. You groaned as you hit your head, which Poe gave a sympathetic 'sorry' to.
As you draw closer and closer to D'Qar, you feel a calming wave flow through you. It was as if someone was emitting a beacon for you to latch on to. You knew this feeling. Leia. You had known for years that Leia was strong with the force. She had to be, given Kylo Ren's prowess. But you didn't know just how strong she truly was. You tried to reach out to her through the force, but Poe interrupted you.
"10 minutes to landing. General Organa is expecting you."
The calmness evaporated. General Organa's presence in the force may be calming but you knew of her reputation as the General of the Resistance. She was ruthless.
Tumblr media
They threw you into a holding cell - which realistically was just a room that didn’t unlock from the inside. You sat there alone - plagued by your own mind for the better part of the day. Each time footsteps passed by your door, you panicked. This is it. This is the end.
It was always a false alarm.
Someone was walking by, scurrying to briefings they were late for, or heading to the droid mechs because, ‘the damn droid went rolling into a wall again! That’s the third time this week!’
You don’t see Poe again - he’s a captain of the Resistance, you reason, he has better things to do than babysit a hostage. Because that’s what you were to them. Deserter or not, you weren’t one of their guys. And that made you dangerous.
You focussed your energy on trying to find Leia - maybe you could understand how to help her if you knew what her problems were. You needed her to trust you, that was the only way you’d be safe. You couldn’t find her between all the buzzing energies of the force. It was overwhelmingly loud. You pulled yourself away from the search, breathing heavy as you came down. You’d never been good at finding people in the force who didn’t want to be found.
A petite blonde woman came as the sun was setting, in her arms a tray full of food. You gorged yourself on it. The Resistance may not have had much but one thing they did have was good food. At least, better food than the First Order.
Leia walked in just as you were finished eating - she’d been waiting for you to finish, hoping that they’re small morsel of kindness would earn enough trust for you to tell them what they wanted to know.
She started softly, asking you questions about yourself and your role within the First Order. You told her half truths - you had been stolen from your home planet as a child and had been raised to be a spy for the First Order. Leia frowned at that, the small pieces of trust you had gained immediately being withdrawn.
She started to ask more interrogatory questions. What were the First Order planning? How were they expanding? Future targets?
You told them the truth. You didn’t know.
The truth wasn’t good enough.
Leia once again asked about the First Order’s plans. You didn’t know. She asked for the whereabouts of Snoke. You didn’t know. She asked, discretely, about her son. You didn’t know.
After an hour going head-to-head, yours was pounding. You’d been resisting her in the force and she was much stronger than you. Much more well practiced too. Your vision started to cloud as you begged her to believe you.
The First Order was good at compartmentalising. Only the people that needed to know, did. And you almost never needed to. Especially since Kylo Ren deemed you a flight risk - rightfully so, seeing as it was always your intention to escape.
Leia left the cell grumbling under her breath, muttering about how the First Order was insufferable. For all her abilities, she didn’t seem to pick up on the fact that you were strong with the force. All the better; less things to explain.
They kept you confined to the cell for quite a while after that. To be fair to the Resistance, they treated their prisoners far better than the First Order did. You had a feeling that they didn’t have much in the way of prisoners - given the lack of purpose built holding cells in the facility.
Your room was big - there was enough space to move around, keep active, meditate. There was a small fresher in the corner of the room and the bed you had was far more comfortable than the one you slept in every night on Star Destroyers. The light streamed in through the small window, and like clockwork, some poor person would bring you a meal every morning, noon, and night.
Aside from this though, you were bored. Inconceivably bored. You’d never had this much time to yourself before. Being under Snoke’s unrelenting gaze meant that you were always working - either practicing, or proving your worth. You had none of that anymore.
You spent the majority of your day honing your tracking skills. You tried to pick out people you knew - those with distinct feels. Those like Poe Dameron.
Poe had been on a new mission since the day after you landed on D’Qar - you’d asked one of the nicer people who brought you food a week after you arrived. He’d returned to Daiyu, trying to find an ex-First Order arms dealer. You had given a little information about the guy - how he was hiding from the First Order since abandoning their efforts to weaponise their young. That had earned you a little more favour in the eyes of the Resistance, but you were still fighting an uphill battle. It was no matter. You were safe here.
Tumblr media
You felt him before anyone else. He had come out of hyperspace and wasn’t requesting permission to enter the airspace. You jumped out of bed. Something was wrong, you could feel it.
Poe had run into quite a bit of trouble on Daiyu. The intel you had given him was good. Not just good, it was great. They’d got some of the information they needed before police were knocking at the door, demanding to be let in. Poe ran. He ran with police on his tail, before escaping in his X-Wing. He jumped straight into deep space. Into enemy territory. He’d been recognised almost immediately - the X-Wing was a dead giveaway. He’d been chased for light years and shot at; his baby had taken some pretty nasty hits. He’d been grounded on Dantooine, the planet nearly deserted. And yet, it seemed just his luck that a few locals took offence to his presence. He’d sustained pretty bad injuries to his torso and left leg. He’d escaped as fast as possible - the loss of blood making his head spin. He entered through the atmosphere of D’Qar, eyes closing off their own accord. There wasn’t enough power in the ship to radio down to ask for permission, nor to land safely. He had to ground the bird.
You slipped your jacket that you had been given on, as well as your old shoes. You played with the lock on the door, having memorised the sound of the code from when you were brought food. You type in the code tentatively, thanking the Maker when the door whooshed open. You crept out, sneaking towards the main blast door. You could feel Poe slipping, feel him losing his touch. As soon as you were out on the ground, you sprinted.
Poe had angled the ship a few miles west of the base. It was still going to be a trek back to the base, but that was better than crashing on the runway; he’d never live that down.
You ran towards the trees, heading west. You could see the smoking ship in your peripheral vision.
Poe was lying on the grass when you got to him, eyes shut with his hand pressing on his side; there was blood everywhere.
Your hands cradled his face as you fell to your knees next to him. You ripped his shirt away - hands ghosting over his chest as you felt for his heartbeat. It was faint, but it was there.
You reached out to the force, pulling threads as you attempted to close up some of the wounds. The bleeding slowed as you pleaded with him; "Poe, come back! They need you, Poe!"
He sputtered suddenly, rolling onto his side, wincing as the newly healed skin stretched. You stayed by his side, hands still running up and down his body, trying to find any more injuries to heal. His breathing remained heavy, as he tried to recollect everything that happened. His hand flew to his side.
"How the hell did you do that?"
"It's a long story."
"I have time."
"I don't," Poe looks at you questioningly, "It's only a matter of time before they realise I'm gone. Or one of them shows up here looking for you."
He shrugged in agreeance, lying back to face the sun, "How did you know I was here?" You laid back, head next to his. The sky was pretty - clear and bright. Maybe, they'd let you come back out here - watch the sun rise and set more. Maybe.
"I felt it. I could feel the disturbance - you were panicked." You whispered, trying not to offend him. It was the truth, but you knew how powerful men often hated the truth.
"Me? Panicked? Never. Have you met me?" His tone was coloured with laughter. You smiled.
You sat in silence for a long time, just enjoying the peace and quiet of the D'Qar weather, until you heard the med team running towards you.
"They're almost here. They're gonna take you to the med-wing. Fix you up. You'll be able to fly in no time." You gave him a watery smile. He gripped your hand tightly.
"I'll tell Leia. You saved my life - she'll ease up. You can train with her - she's - something - with the force. She can help you."
"NO!" You yelled, jumping away from him, "You can't tell Leia. You can't, you can't - promise me - PROMISE ME, POE - promise me, you won't tell Leia." He grabbed your hand and soothed you, promising not to tell Leia until you were ready.
He held your hand until the med team arrived and they ushered him onto a Gurney. He yelled at the two corporals left with you to be nice - "she saved my life!" he yelled as he was dragged away. They threw back in the same cell just the same.
Tumblr media
It was two days before you saw anyone else again. You were provided food at every mealtime just the same as you had before - except there was no interrogation afterward. You preferred the interrogation. Made you feel... needed.
You knew that Poe had argued for you. You'd heard from two officers from data who were gossiping about it on the way to the Cantina.
"Did you hear?" One of them giggled.
"About the General and Poe. Of course!"
Poe had made the dash to see the General as soon as he was cleared from the med-wing. You'd saved his life. It was only fair that he do the same.
He walked - no, strutted - into the General's office in a very 'Poe' way, claiming that the matter was of the utmost importance. He gave his mission report - how the intel wasn't just good, it was "brilliant. It solved some of our supply issues, which means we're in a better place than ever to beating them. They have no blaster parts, no ship parts - the supply chain will be delayed for weeks." Leia had dismissed him after that.
The first sign of trouble should have been that. That Leia hadn't asked him about the trouble or berated him for getting into it. Instead, she was just letting him go.
Poe pushed the issue - he talked about the trouble and his destroyed X-Wing, and how he practically crash-landed into D'Qar because the police on Daiyu was "mad strict. Like they couldn't let a small thing like that go? Maker, what happened to that place?"
The second sign of trouble was the lack of warnings. Usually, Leia laid the 'be careful, don't get yourself killed,' warnings on thick. They were nowhere to be found.
The third sign of trouble was the glazed-over expression in Leia's eyes. Poe realised that he never had Leia's attention, to begin with. Leia's mind was completely preoccupied with the young girl in a cell, who'd risked her freedom to save a Captain. A man that she barely knew.
The bigger mystery was how had she hidden so successfully in the force - not only from Leia herself but from bigger threats, like Snoke and Kylo Ren.
Poe, mistaking Leia's confusion for anger, begged her not to hurt the girl. "She's just a kid, General, she was doing what she'd been taught." Leia sent Poe away, assuring him that she wasn't going to hurt the girl.
You felt Leia before you saw her. You'd fallen asleep with your back upright against the headboard, an awkward crick forming in your neck. Your eyes opened to Leia perched on the edge of your bed.
You jumped into apologies and pleas - "please don't send me back" and "I was just trying to help him - the med team wasn't going to get there in time."
You were surprised when you felt her hand brush up against your cheek, but you leaned into the touch all the same. She gazed at you so lovingly that for a moment you forgot that she was the reason you were locked in here.
"I was wrong." Her words stunned you, "I was wrong about you, and I apologise. You are safe here - to practice the force, or live without it. If you want to leave, I will find you a planet on which no one - First Order or Resistance - will find you. Should you wish to stay, I would welcome you with open arms, as would everyone else here."
You smiled at her, "I would like to stay - if that's ok?"
She smiled at you, standing up and walking towards the door. "I'll make sure you get your first flying session with Captain Dameron first thing in the morning. He said you had a knack for flying."
"Umm, General?" She turns to look at you, "If it's all the same to you, I'd prefer something on the ground? Something like controllership?" She smiled and nodded.
"I'll have Connix meet you in the morning, kid. Sleep well."
And you did. In fact, you had probably never slept better.

ulterior motives | Poe Dameron x Fem!Reader (1 of 2)
A/N: Wow, long time, no Poe! And a long time without posts. I just haven’t been motivated to write (or finish what I start) and time is moving so quickly, I can’t even keep track of it. My goodness!!!!
Rating: 18+
Warning: Canon typical violence, naughty words, people assuming you were promoted for doing sexual favors and it is heavily discussed.
Word Count: 4,499, apparently!
Summary: Post-war with The First Order, your generals, Poe and Finn, promote you to commander of your squadron. Not everyone is happy about it, especially with how close you and Poe seem to be.

You couldn’t help but smile as you hopped down from your ship, removing your helmet and tucking it under your arm, watching your fellow pilots leave their own X-wings to greet the people awaiting you all.
There was nothing more satisfying than a successful mission where nobody got hurt.
There were still remnants of the First Order, desperate people with no personality outside of the dictatorship, as well as new groups popping up. The galaxy simply couldn’t exist without someone with bad intentions wanting to rule it.
When one of your generals sent your squadron out to nip one of the groups in the bud, you hadn’t expected to be ambushed by their ships as soon as you broke the atmosphere for the planet their headquarters were on.
But, even taken by surprise, you managed to take each one of them out and suffer nothing but superficial damage to your ship and the others’. One day in maintenance and they’d all be good as new, like they never even left the hangar.
“Captain,” said a familiar voice from behind you and you nearly jumped, turning to find Poe was approaching you with a proud smile.
“General Dameron,” you breathed out, nearly stumbling over the name as you fought away your own shy smile.
He had that effect on everyone and you were certainly no exception. He was handsome already, but he’d grown a beard speckled with white since taking over as co-general and it made him so…distinguished. He let his hair grow out a bit and it was just barely graying at the temples. He was smart and strong and kind and toned and his eyes would crinkle at the corners when he’d smile at you or laugh or—
How could you not feel something? It was a little embarrassing, the way your heart would jump at the sight of him and your breath would catch when you spoke with him, and your palms would sweat just from being near him. But you couldn’t blame yourself or anyone else for that matter.
You tried your best to not reveal your feelings, hiding genuine yearning behind banter and what could possibly be construed as flirting. And sometimes you couldn’t help how you looked at him, especially when there were times where he looked at you in such a way that you thought that…maybe…
But he was one of your generals and you were just someone with a silly crush. Just like everyone else. You weren’t special, the two of you weren’t fated to be an item just because you liked him. It just…was what it was.
“Looks like Finn did a good job entrusting you with the squadron for this mission.” Poe looked around the tarmac at the other pilots, who were all animatedly telling anyone near them how intense and ‘cool’ the fight was.
You felt a touch of pride, but you just smiled. “I couldn’t have done it without them.”
You looked at him to find he was looking at you now, like he was considering something. When he didn’t say anything and you found yourself wanting to squirm beneath his gaze, you cut through the silence.
“Do I have something on my face?” You leveled him with a jokingly annoyed expression and he looked away with a laugh.
“Nothing that needs fixing,” he said offhandedly, biting his lip in thought for a moment before he looked at you again. “I wanna talk to you about something. In private.”
Your heart felt like it leapt out of your chest, mind immediately racing as it tried to figure out what he would want to talk about. Had you done something wrong? Was he going to ask you out?
You waved the thoughts away and smiled a little too brightly. “Sure! What’s up?”
“No, no, go take a shower and get changed, come to my office after.”
“Are you saying I stink, General?” Your typical banter was only slightly delayed as you tried to calm yourself.
“I’m just saying, I want to be able to inhale when I talk to you.”
Despite him being your superior, you gave him a playful shove that made him stumble back a bit, shaking your head as he laughed. “You’re horrible.”
“And you like it.” You did. Because he never meant it and just wanted to make you…make people laugh. “See you in fifteen?”
“We’ll see if I even show up now.”
——————————————————————————
You were outside of Poe’s office fourteen and a half minutes later, clean and in comfier clothes than a flightsuit; you sped through the process, both eager and nervous about what Poe wanted to talk to you about.
You took a deep breath to fail at calming your nerves before you knocked on the door.
“No one’s here!”
“Oh, then I guess I can just come back another day.” You barely made it a few feet down the hall before the door slid open and Poe was peeking out, smirking at you. “Oh! I thought no one was there.”
“I snuck by when you weren’t looking. Come in.” He nodded and stepped away, and you followed him into the room as the door shut again.
His office was simple, a desk and a few chairs, some necessary technology, a few little personal touches like toys from his childhood or cool things he found on missions. There was one across the hall for Finn that was nearly identical, but he had a lot more personal touches as he discovered new, wonderful things he enjoyed every day.
You sat in one of the chairs in front of his desk as he sat in his, and you waited for him to start the conversation. He was just smiling at you. You stared at him before you squirmed in your seat, feeling awfully hot for some reason. “What did you need to talk to me about?”
“Oh, right, uh…” He sat back in his seat, clearing his throat. “You know how Finn asked you to oversee your mission because Commander Nichos had to step away?”
You nodded. Nichos and you weren’t too close, but he was nice and you respected him, so you were concerned when you found out he wouldn’t be on the mission.
“Well, his wife is pregnant. And he wants to step down as commander so he can just have a family…in peace.” He started to rearrange things on his desk. “Since we’re not in a war and I want his kid to have a dad, I agreed.”
“That’s kind of you.” Poe was a fair general as far as you were concerned. He could get a little worked up sometimes, but it was only when it was necessary.
“But that means we won’t have a commander for your squadron and I’ve been thinking about it and talking to Finn…and we want you.”
You stared. “Want me to do what?”
“Take over as commander…but only if you want to.”
Slowly, you started to register what he was asking you and a smile spread across your face. “I…I would be honored. Are you sure?”
“Yeah, I’m pretty sure.” He rolled his eyes playfully at you.
“This…thank you!” You’d been hoping to climb the ranks with your hard work and you so loved overseeing missions and your squadron. Not to mention, you felt so accomplished and flattered, knowing Poe and Finn thought you were capable enough. “Can I hug you?”
“You know I love hugs.”
You were around the desk and on him so fast, making him grunt as you hugged him tight. You would’ve been in his lap if you didn’t keep your feet on the ground. He laughed warmly in your ear and the sound made you melt, knees buckling as his arm came around you and he gently rubbed your back.
You pulled back after a moment and his arm loosened around you, but it didn’t fall. You stared at each other and you couldn’t help admiring how handsome he was, how soft his eyes were when he looked at you. Did he just glance at your lips? Were you imagining things to give yourself hope?
“General Dameron, I— oh.” You both turned to see a member of your squadron had entered; it was Valin, a typical tall, dark, and handsome man. He was a bit aloof, but a good pilot and fighter.
“Well, your breath smells fine to me!” you said quickly, inwardly cringing as you pulled away from Poe. He looked amused, but turned his attention to Valin.
“Hey, we were just finishing up if you wanna take a seat.” Poe nodded to you that you could leave, which you did in a bit of a daze.
Both from the awkwardness of Valin’s entrance and…whatever the hell that other feeling was. It felt like a strange mixture of hope, longing, and disappointment.
You were almost certain that you wanted to kiss Poe and that he wanted to kiss you back. You did want to kiss Poe.
But he was your general! And everyone wanted him! You were being ridiculous, making things up because you were excited and he was gorgeous. So unbelievably gorgeous…
It would never work, but it was nice to flirt and pretend. Even with your logic, you still wished Valin hadn’t walked in and interrupted whatever was going to happen.
Would Poe have kissed you? Would you be the one who initiated it? Would you both lean in, only to smack your noses together and laugh and break the tension that shouldn’t have been there? It was good that Valin walked in.
Great, even. It made things way less complicated that you weren’t able to kiss one of your generals.
You tried to shift your focus to your new role as commander and how excited you were, but you weren’t sure if you couldn’t stop smiling because of that or because it really seemed like Poe wanted to kiss you.
——————————————————————————
There was a celebration the night it was announced that you were promoted to commander and Valin was promoted to captain; everyone chattered, laughed, and even danced as they enjoyed delicious food and dizzying drinks.
Everyone but Valin, but it didn’t seem out of the ordinary given the distance he always kept between himself and the others. He just stood in the corner, sipping on a strong drink. You supposed he kept his emotions about being promoted to himself.
Regardless, you were having a great time with all your friends celebrating you, and other squadron members congratulating you and telling you how right you were for the job.
Poe observed for most of the night until you - a little buzzed, forgetting embarrassment despite the heat in your body - dragged him over to dance. He didn’t mind, joining in on the fun like he wasn’t one of your highest superiors.
Things were so different with the war over. While there were still problems to be dealt with, they were fewer and farther between, which meant you had time for celebrations and access to real food instead of rations.
You could enjoy your lives to some extent.
“Congratulations again. I gotta get this guy out of here,” said Kelsa, a member of the Blue Squadron, as she helped her husband Adharan out of the room. He was a member of your squadron and he was mumbling random things all the way.
There were few people left at the celebration as the night grew late and everyone felt the true effects of what they drank. It was you, Poe, Finn, a few new faces, and Valin left.
The group of newbies left and your eyes widened when you saw Finn with one of them. You looked at Poe in question when he plopped down next to you with a groan. “Someone made a friend.”
He laughed. “He’s been looking at her like a barghest pup since she joined. It’s about time.”
“Yeah…” You stared at him, the alcohol coursing through you doing a great job at making you forget why it was good you hadn’t kissed Poe the other day.
He had such perfect lips. He was made to be kissed and you wanted to do the kissing.
You didn’t even realize you were leaning in until you felt his fingers on your lips, stopping you from meeting his. He looked like he was almost in pain. “You’re drunk.”
“Not drunk enough to not know what I’m doing.” You mumbled against his finger tips, turning your head to lean into his touch.
“Maybe not, but you’re drunk enough to not think it through. I’m not gonna take advantage of that.” He slowly removed his hand, being sure you were holding your own head up and not relying on him. “I don’t want you to regret it in the morning.”
You knew refusing to take advantage of someone under the influence was the bare minimum a person could do, but you liked Poe so much, it felt like he’d just offered you a million credits. “You’re such a good guy.”
There was a snorted laugh and you looked over to see Valin walking by, but his face was so emotionless that you figured you heard wrong. You wanted to reach out to him even if he was distant, so you stood. “Captain.”
He just stared straight into your soul, only looking away once he was approaching the door.
You scoffed. “Talk about having a stick up your-“
Poe quickly stood and slapped a hand over your mouth, pulling you to his side as he grinned and waved at Valin with his free hand. “Goodnight!”
Valin’s eyes were darker as he left and you continued to mumble behind Poe’s palm. He made sure the other man was likely out of earshot before he moved his hand away.
“-and another thing, who stands in a corner and glares at everyone when they were just promoted? You should be celebrating! And I’ve been so nice to you and you just stare at me! Why?!”
Poe pressed his lips together and patted your shoulder, gently guiding you toward the door. “Yeah, you’re not in your right mind. Let’s get you to bed.”
——————————————————————————
It was a few days later that you noticed that people didn’t seem as excited for you anymore. It couldn’t just be in your mind that everyone was glaring at you, whispering to each other as soon as you were too far to hear them.
You wondered if you’d done something embarrassing at the celebration, but you remembered all of it and the most embarrassing thing you’d done was try to kiss Poe. That wasn’t reputation destroying, was it?
You did your best to ignore it, but the more people whispered without telling you what the problem was, the more irritated and nervous you became.
The tarmac outside of the base was crowded with people as Blue Squadron prepared to leave for a mission, but all conversations hushed as you walked through. The throngs parted, friends and acquaintances and people you didn’t even recognize staring at you. You felt big and small at the same time, like you were taking up too much space for the meaningless person you were in their eyes.
You just kept walking, wanting to wish the squadron luck before going.
Kelsa was about to get into her ship, but she stopped and looked at you with pity. That was better than being stared at like you were an abomination…maybe…pretty sure…you had no idea if it was better or worse. What was there to pity?
You approached their commander, Alsafi, and did your best to smile. “Hey, I just wanted to wish you luck out there.”
She regarded you for a moment like you were a lowly creature she could easily step on, then she lifted her chin and straightened her shoulders. “You know, I was assigned as commander of the Blue Squadron because I worked hard.”
You furrowed your brow. “Yeah…you’re the perfect fit, anyone knows that.”
She hummed and started to climb the ladder to her ship, saying over her shoulder, “I don’t need luck from General Dameron’s pet.
Your eyes widened and you quickly grabbed her ankle to stop her ascent. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Oh, come on!” She clenched her jaw and kicked you away easily, so she could hop back onto the tarmac and loom over you with her impressive height. “Everybody knows. How could he not grant you such a favor when you’ve been granting his?”
You opened and closed your mouth a few times in shock, turning to the crowd where some were staring and others quickly pretended they hadn’t been. “Is…is that what you all think? I was promoted to commander because I’m sleeping with Poe?”
A murmur fluttered across the group, some people saying nasty and hateful things while others begrudgingly admitted their beliefs. A few people were silent, obviously not believing the rumor, but too frightened by the general consensus to stick up for you.
That included members of your own squadron, people you’d known the longest, who’d been the most vocal about how happy they were that you were their commander.
“You all know Poe would never do that! That I…I would never accept…I…” You were so flustered by all the anger and judgment pointed towards you. “Kolb, Navi, come on, you know that’s not why!” Your fellow pilots looked ashamed as they stayed silent, so you turned to the ever stoic Valin.
Something was different in his eyes.
“Valin was promoted to captain! Poe and Finn were just moving up their best pilots to fill a space. Tell them.”
“I saw them together with my own eyes,” he said as he stared at you coldly. “And now you claim to be one of our best pilots? Better than me or the rest of our squadron?”
Your face fell. “No…I didn’t mean that…I just mean…we should trust their decisions, I…and what do you mean, you saw us?!”
“In his office, after everyone left the party…”
You scoffed and laughed nervously because, while you hadn’t done anything, you knew the position was compromising and you were filling with unfounded guilt. Or was it unfounded? You did feel that Poe liked you. Did he just promote you because he liked you?
No, he wouldn’t do that. Would he? He promoted Valin too. Maybe he liked Valin.
“We were hugging in his office because I was excited, and I was drunk at the party! Come on, you guys don’t really believe this!”
“If he was just promoting his best pilots, Valin should have been commander and you should have stayed captain,” Alsafi said before climbing into her ship.
Valin leaned in close to you as the crowd began to dissipate, their decision made. “Everyone sees how you look at each other. You think we’re stupid?”
You floundered, but couldn’t come up with a defense before he shouldered past you. What were you supposed to do? Nobody believed you.
All you could think was one thing; hide.
You ran, pushing past anyone who was left, bolting right back into the base so you could hide from their stares and assumptions, humiliated by their lack of faith in your abilities as well as them thinking you were sleeping with Poe.
You were just turning the hallway that held your quarters when you bumped into someone solid, hard enough that the two of you fell into a heap on the floor. He grunted and you gasped, panting.
“Hey, you okay?”
Your eyes widened when they met Poe’s and you quickly scrambled off him and crawled back until you hit the wall, wanting to put distance between you. You couldn’t imagine if someone walked in and found you on top of him.
His brow furrowed as he sat up. “What’s wrong? What happened?”
You didn’t know what to say and you felt panicked as tears welled in your eyes; from how much you liked Poe, and how much you wanted to be commander, and how everyone thought there was a correlation between the two. You opened your mouth and all that came out was a sob.
“Hey…” Poe softened and reached for you, but you quickly moved to your feet and pressed your back against the wall.
“Thank you, but I don’t think I should be commander.” It was like you were replying to a conversation he hadn’t been let in on, and you saw the confusion on his face before you darted down the hallway.
“Wait!” You could hear him calling after you and heard his footsteps running behind you for a moment, but you didn’t dare look back.
Part of you wanted to cry in his arms. The other part feared someone seeing you in another compromising position.
——————————————————————————
You stayed in your quarters for days, too frightened to face the stares or to wrestle with your feelings for Poe. You were also too scared to see his reaction to you turning down the role of commander.
Everyone had rations and a private refresher in their room, so you didn’t even have any reason to leave.
Maybe if you stayed there for a year or two, everyone would forget about this and Valin would be the new commander.
You peeked out from under your covers when you heard a knock on the door. “Who is it?”
“It’s Poe.”
“—no one’s here.”
“Should I rephrase that and say that your general is standing out here, in the freezing cold hallway?” When you gave no response, the door slid open and in walked Poe with a sympathetic expression. He looked around before grabbing the chair from your small desk and moving it to face your bed, sitting down. “Kelsa told me what happened.”
You groaned and pulled the covers over your head. “So you see why I can’t be commander and you agree? I’m glad we had this talk.”
“No, I see that someone started a rumor because you’re capable and deserving…and Valin is jealous, he thought he would be promoted to commander.” He tried to pull the covers down, but you held tight. “Come on, I know you. You’re gonna let this ruin something so important?”
“They think I fucked you, Poe,” you said bluntly as you shoved the covers back and sat up to look at him. “Do you know how embarrassing that is? They think I slept with you and that’s why you promoted me.”
“Who cares? You know the truth. I know the truth. And, sooner or later, they’re gonna forget all about the rumor and move onto something else.”
“They’re not gonna respect me if they think I do favors to get what I want.” You looked at your hands.
Poe reached out to tilt your chin up so you’d look at him. “I promoted you because you’re good and you deserved it more than anyone. They’ll get over it.”
You smiled a little, shaking your head. “I just don’t know if it’s right.”
“Well!” He stood and slapped his thighs. “Your squadron has a mission in a few days and I don’t plan to put someone in as commander, even temporarily. So I guess you at least gotta go for this one, or the whole squadron might be lost.”
“That’s just playing dirty.”
“Whatever gets you out of that bed.”
You watched him as he put the chair back and started towards the door, calling out before you could stop yourself, “Poe?”
You didn’t know what you wanted to say when he turned to look at you expectantly. Maybe you wanted to ask if it was all a rumor or if he did like you, if he looked at you the same way you looked at him.
But you couldn’t.
“Thanks,” you said lamely.
“Thank me after your briefing, first thing in the morning.”
——————————————————————————
The morning air was chilled as you finished packing what you needed into your X-wing, looking around at your squadron as they prepared themselves. Most of your group was being respectful and kind, though they hadn’t spoken up for you before.
The only one who didn’t seem to care for your orders was Valin. You didn’t care for him very much at all now, given how he started the rumor, but you would make sure he stayed safe.
You were just climbing the ladder when he approached you, data pad in hand. “General Dameron said he gave us the wrong coordinates, these are the right ones.”
You looked at him and then looked to where Poe was standing to see you all off, smirking a bit when he waved at you. You quickly made your expression neutral and looked at the coordinates on screen, nodding. Maybe even Valin was getting somewhat used to you being his superior, if only by doing something helpful that you imagined Poe was forcing him to do.
“Let’s get a move on, the sooner we’re out of here, the sooner we can come back!” You climbed into the cockpit of your ship and put in the coordinates before you let the canopy close, starting it up.
Poe was still watching as you lifted into the air, followed close by the rest of your squadron with Valin right behind you. You waved to your general quickly before you took off into space, surprised by how far the planet would be.
That’s what hyperspeed was for, you supposed. You were able to engage it once you broke the atmosphere and you were in the quiet expanse of stars.
It cut your travel time in half and you exited it once you were a few minutes away from the planet, pausing when you only saw one ship behind you. Where the hell was the rest of your fleet?
Your comm crackled to life and you could hear Valin, “I think they dropped out of hyperspeed too soon, this place is kinda in the middle of nowhere. We should go ahead and land, scope out the place.”
He was right about the planet being in the middle of nowhere and you knew your squadron was smart, they’d figure out the coordinates. It made sense to go ahead and get started, so you could see what needed to be done.
You took off your helmet once your ship had touched down, climbing out to take a look at your surroundings.
It was pretty barren, dirt as far as the eye could see, crumbling buildings and dead foliage. You couldn’t even hear animals or the wind.
“I think maybe we’re the ones who dropped out of hyperspeed at the wrong time,” you said over your shoulder as Valin jumped out of his ship. “I don’t think this is even livable. Maybe it was at one time, but not anymore…they wouldn’t want a planet without resources they can harvest.”
“No, I think we’re in the right place,” came Valin’s voice from right behind you.
You barely had time to register the pain of something being brought down on the back of your head before everything went black.
